Great title screen and music! Game itself was rather confusing and I had to install MC VC++ 2010 x86 Redist just to get it to run, unfortunately. The jump is useless and only jumps a few pixels, but I couldn't work out if it's a bug or something?
Very cute! And I love penguins!
Wow, great idea! The conversation input is a little bit clunky, but could have been much much worse. I enjoyed the visual puns of the compliment/insults. Mostly impressed by the innovation here, tho, fantastic concept!
Finally got around to playing! x_x Really really nice work, I love the 'game' version graphics especially! I didn't lose health when I lost to the boss, but I guess that's intentional else I couldn't have seen all the RL scenes. Wish I finished my game on time so I could vote here!
Pretty nice, but quite horrible resetting long winded rooms even if you don't die - yikes. Rage-quit inducing! Solid controls and gameplay otherwise tho.
Solid game. A little slow, but challenging and fun.
Congratulations on finishing it! :) The game's really short (for a novice like me haha) so the popup for highscore can be a little annoyingly frequent. Don't know how long other people's actual games are, but if they're as short as mine, it could benefit from a slightly wider hero or some lives.
Wow this is really fun! I got 18400, which I thought was a good score until I saw some other comment LOL. Very cool game.
Congratulations on completing your 1st LD - especially the music! Happy Birthday too! XD
Really cute, and I really adore the sound effects. I'm not a massive minesweeper fan, but it's much more fun having an avatar like this. Great colours too.
Excellent work! After I figured out what was going on (this took slightly longer than I'd like to admit) the game was fun and interesting.
Really cool! Love the enemy design, everything feels really solid. Didn't seem to need any stealth or planning, just kinda rushed in spraying and didn't have any trouble, but I'm sure you can address that with later levels when you continue this project.
Really beautiful graphics! Smooth controls and animation too. Great entry!
I could only die... Wasn't 100% sure if this was intentional or not, but I loved it anyway, amazing! Great game!
The collision detection is a little bit 'bad', but it's skewed quite heavily in the player's favour, so I'm surprised it was detrimental. Were you definitely kicking all the drills from behind? Maybe I need a target on their backs to make it more obvious if not.
Yeah, the inertia's a bit slow, it was meant to be kinda low gravity moon/rock type thing. Thanks for playing!
Pretty cute, reminds me of my 1st LD game. Jumps are very long, you're effectively jumping to an area off screen, though since you can adjust forwards / backwards you still feel fairly in control.
Good concept, coulda been developed further.
Amaaazing presentation. Gameplay was kind of boring, but still scored it quite highly on 'fun' because it was still incredibly entertaining. Great job!
Loved it, amazing :) Little bit fiddly switching items once there was a lot of things on the ground, but not too bad.
So pretty! Level design is great too, if a little unforgiving. Love the jump/warp thing, even if it killed me far too often.
Pretty interesting. Nice graphics.. Piece designs could've been a bit more intuitive (although I appreciate them not being Japanese characters).
Nice idea, quite difficult with enemies, but the card swapping idea is really cool.
Haha, amazing. Very funny.
Looks as fun to make as it was to play. It's a bit derivative (obviously), but I guess there's no way around that. I enjoyed it very much.
Took me absolutely ages to figure out what I was meant to do. Maybe I'm being stupid, but some visual clues might've been useful! (I got to the game from your twitter, so I didn't see the instructions here, but it's still pretty obscure). Good solid puzzle rules otherwise though!
Beautiful. I could listen to the music all day long. Must admit I don't 100% know what I'm doing, but I'm enjoying it.
Very nice looking game with a surprising amount of content for a compo entry. Platform collision slightly annoying - bashing head on platform above when not wanting to happening slightly too often. Main gimmick fits the theme well and sparks the imagination to think of a few interesting ways to expand upon it which is one of my favourite parts of LD/jam games. Well done!
Played a few times, really enjoyed the discovery aspect of the game. Does right click do anything? (Saw in another comment, but couldn't figure out).
Looks really good! Unfortunately I couldn't get the game to run. :( (No error message, or window appeared at all - win10).
Nice risk/reward concept and nice artwork too. Found it a little bit too slow for me, and neither attacking or the moving input felt very satisfying right now, even for a jam game I think needed a little juice or polish.
Music is weird and ...bad? But I kind of liked it somehow. :D
Main character looks good, but I had a lot of trouble with the movement and shooting unfortunately. Hope you continue to make games. :)
Very very nice music, great graphics, fun game! :) Fun that our two games look and sound pretty similar. :D
Quite simple game, but momentum seems a little random - coupled with the long time to restart makes it quite frustrating. It did succeed in making me want to get further, each time, which isn't trivial so well done. I ended up playing quite a bit, but I couldn't make it to the end.
Very cool idea. :) I seemed to have some input trouble - often not recognising multiple presses at once which breaks the game a little, but still had fun brute forcing my way through as far as I could.
46seconds! Found it pretty difficult to manage all the spells and their keys, even with a legend on screen. Sitting still and using fireball only seemed to work best for me. Graphics were nice, audio was very nice, concept is clever and fits the theme well too.
