Unfortunately I got a vertex buffer error after pressing 'space' on the intro text: ___________________________________________ ############################################################################################ FATAL ERROR in action number 1 of Draw Event for object obj_player:

This is good work. I have no notes.

valden 2018-08-13 11:02

--- Note : If the game crashes at launch, try to run it on your GPU by right clicking it and choosing"Execute with graphics Processor > High Performance NVIDIA Processor" ---

Really nice to see a non euclidian 3d game made in so little time. The game is a little bit buggy, but I had a great time. Well done !

avocado 2018-08-14 04:06

This was really fun, I like your incorporation of the teleporting. The puzzles were also pretty satisfying. Fun to work in M.C. Escher's library lol

zeta0134 2018-08-14 05:59

How cute, a little game about filing library books. Strangely soothing, but simple... wait... WAIT WHAT?

Very well done. I ran into some minor quibbles where the seam detection wasn't super stellar (especially around the 1 / 2 / 3 section) but overall, I was thoroughly disoriented and had a brain bending good time exploring the space. Kind of has an antichamber vibe to it.

drnoir 2018-08-14 06:10

I enjoyed this game a lot, for something made in 72 hours it was seriously impressive! Loved the paradoxical layour and simple puzzles, only thing I would say is it needs more sound / music. I livestreamed it before on Twitch will share on here shortly :) One of my faves so far

drnoir 2018-08-14 06:16

https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297110828 should be watchable on this link- last game I play

darylsteak 2018-08-14 09:59

A nice, if not mind boggling game. The puzzles were fun, and I enjoyed the gameplay quite well.

My only complaint was that I repeatedly failed to find the answer to some of the puzzles (maybe im too dense), but overall, I had fun

engyne 2018-08-14 17:54

The mouse was jittering the camera every time I moved it... But the game is amazing! I even got a Mario 64 feeling. Good job!

skytiger 2018-08-14 23:14

I got the same fatal vertex buffer error as zemmi.

mrbehemoth 2018-08-14 23:24

Very nice. Assuming that the library would reconfigure itself and generate infinite puzzles every day, I would absolutely work there.

zachary-granger 2018-08-15 03:42

That last book made me way happier than I expected haha. I had a really fun time playing TNLoGI, it was relaxing. The use of the theme is a bit loose, but clever in its own way so I like that. The puzzles were nice too. Not overwhelming but still satisfying to complete. The mechanic with merging locations didn't always work 100% of the time (the seam was blinking between itself and the wall behind it for example) but when it did, it was very enjoyable.

hunter-towe 2018-08-15 10:25

It was surprisingly fun filling the empty space in the bookshelves and being warped to different areas. To be totally honest, I only completed the first puzzle, and for the rest of the game I guessed the codes (I'll probably replay the game so I can have the full experience).

The simplistic, pixel art style 3D graphics are very appealing to me, so good job on that.

I think the game could've used some music or ambient background noise, but other than that the audio is pretty well done.

I feel like the theme could've been used in a more effective way, but with that being said it's still an interesting interpretation.

This game is a really interesting experience and something I thoroughly enjoyed. All in all, it's an excellent work!

flatgub 2018-08-15 11:57

I wasn't able to play this for very long because of how slow it ran, which surprised me given the specs of my computer. I found that if I looked in certain directions the game would speed up significantly but that lead me to trying to navigate while starting at weird angles to get the game to run at better than 10 FPS. I don't feel like I had enough of the experience to rate it properly which would be unfair but I am sad that I didn't get to enjoy what seems to be a very fun game.

flatgub 2018-08-15 12:01

I just found the F3 debug button, Specifically, I only get FPS higher than 14 when looking between 225 and 270 degrees? I've got an Nvidia GTX 1060 if it matters?

tuism 2018-08-15 14:56

Sorry that there's not an OSX/Web version :(

wahooney 2018-08-15 21:35

I enjoyed this very much, tangential application of the theme which is always fun and really cool retro art. I appreciate the fact that there's no fall damage, so I can feel like a bad ass book in correct place placer. I did notice a lot of pops when traversing what I'm assuming are portals.

rodobodolfo 2018-08-16 04:02

great game! I was expecting to the last book to be put on the initial shelf. Love the concept and the pixel art. A bgm or more sounds would make the game much better.

polyducks 2018-08-16 07:22

I was really looking forward to this one, but I get a graphics crash at the start. I'll come back to review w/stars if I manage to play.

oadt 2018-08-16 11:00

Cool idea and great execution. The world design is really good, you always pretty fast know where to go and what to do.

xphere 2018-08-16 11:21

I really liked non-euclydean puzzles, thanks. Had some fun searching for those shelves, nice! Last book is my favorite ;)

panurge 2018-08-16 11:31

Fun! I enjoyed playing this a lot, great puzzles and nicely pitched difficulty curve. Although it's already very atmospheric in its way, a little music or a few more sfx would have done a lot to deepen this. Thanks for a very intriguing and enjoyable experience!

rend 2018-08-16 15:38

I was not expecting anything but I got hooked! I'm impressive with the amount of work you put in 2 days and with the cleverness of the puzzles. It's a shame there is no music, but even without it, the game has this strange and unique mood that magnetizes players. Really well done, one of my favorite entries!

Fatal Error: Can not create vertex buffer of size 147456 bytes 13299 vertex buffers allocated with total size of 1912864 KB at gml_Script_d3d_draw_floor_flat Yeah I got the same error. I have an Intel core i5. Yeah and I unfortunately published 10 blank comments because of lag. Sorry. I was really excited for this game.

nnnikki 2018-08-17 09:08

Oh no sorry for sending the same message 10 times, LD lagged

pnghasemi 2018-08-17 16:07

Cool concept and cool puzzles. The puzzles, unlike other jam puzzle games I played, were not really easy and not even really hard. I liked that AHA moment in number like placed bookshelves. Nicely done :D

hueson 2018-08-18 00:01

The art as a whole has a really nice vibe to it. Nice work.

nanolotl 2018-08-18 08:52

@nnnikki @polyducks @skytiger @zemmi I have posted a potential fix to the graphics crash on the itch.io page, but am unsure if it actually resolves the issue due to being unable to reproduce the crash myself. Let me know if it works for you.

randomphantom 2018-08-18 13:27

Pretty cool puzzles here and nice non-euclidean twist. I think I saw some graphical swapping indicating the teleportation happening so it isn't really seamless, otherwise graphics were neat.

jessefreeman 2018-08-18 19:16

I keep getting the error and it crashes so couldn't play :(

nyri0 2018-08-18 21:29

Win, yay! I like puzzle games and this kind of non-euclidean space puzzles are very interesting to me.

However, the game feels a bit empty, and also there's some backtracking to always go back to the starting point to get a book.

nate-wec 2018-08-19 01:28

I LOVE THIS GAME, couldn't solve a puzzle so I had to quite at book 2.314 but man... this was sure paradoxical.

alfie275 2018-08-20 17:46

Fun little game, though could do with taking the existing puzzles and turning them into sequences of puzzles with increasing difficulty/complexity. My only real complaint would be the performance issues, it ran quite slowly unless I looked in certain directions, so I'm assuming it's drawing everything infront of me even if it's not visible. Perhaps look into remaking this in a different engine (Unity, unreal etc), which would also let you have stuff like antialiasing (which would be useful as sometimes the signs were unreadable from a distance).

axoona 2018-08-20 19:22

very cool game. Interesting concept and big up for the surprise! When you think it's finished you still find more rooms :)

congrat's it's a great compo entry

polyducks 2018-08-20 19:47

Hey, I came back and replayed it. I'm not sure if it's an optimisation issue, but the game FPS was really low and that hindered my playthrough. It made everything very slow, sometimes speeding up again.

I liked the idea of filing books away, but it didn't seem to fit with the theme of running out of space. I began exploring the library and got stuck in some infinite loop.

I really like the graphics of the pixel art in the 3D space, and the brickwork was really pretty. With some work to prevent stupid users like me from wondering off and some optimisations, I think this would be a very playable game.

kaiclavier 2018-08-20 23:07

Loved this! I'm a sucker for mundane-ish games, and the impossible geometry was very fun to work around. The prize for beating the game is perfect.

saoi-games 2018-08-24 01:21

I really liked the layout of this game.

It felt like a funner puzzle version of Minecraft.

Well Done!

thlismain 2019-11-18 12:27

I like to sit in the library and do my homework there. It is quiet and no one bothers. But these tasks are sometimes so meaningless that it’s even frustrating. For example, a bunch of different essays. To do this, I just order homework help on the site [spam] - there you can get almost any kind of help, which makes this site very useful and effective.

2022-03-29 08:58

Yes, I agree with you that this is a rather pleasant place to develop your mental abilities, because I was good with geometry. Essay writing is much more difficult for me, but I found a great way to use ready-made essay samples on this writing service site here https://graduateway.com/essay-examples/observation/ . In general, this is a great option for students.

2022-05-18 21:52

Now it's not a problem to write a good quality written work. For example, I had to look for a long time. I recommend here to look and read in detail about [essay writing service](https://essayusa.com) and now there are no problems. They do everything of the highest quality and that is why I am completely satisfied. So if in student life, too, are faced with this topic, it is better to contact the experts.

janejlocane 2022-07-23 17:46

I really love to read and try to do it as much of my time to it as possible. But because of the workload at the university, I rarely manage to read. Therefore, I decided to [buy essay](https://www.nerdywriters.co.uk/buy-essay-online/) to somehow save my time. Thanks to the experts, I was able to submit my essays on time. Still, writing a text requires talent, which I do not have.

Hello, I wanted to thank you for sharing this useful material. What is more, the aspects mentioned here will be helpful for a wide range of people who are not as good at math as I am. Nevertheless in my case [professor essays](https://essaysprofessors.com/) helped me a lot. Thank to them I had no problems with stuff related to studying
