LD27 — 10 Seconds

Get Out! by LordHellMaX 2013-08-28T17:33:00

Hi! Amazing that you managed such a game in only 3 days! I've done a video of this excellent game ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2dnB42mZBA I was unable to figure out the easter egg though! Hope the devs enjoy my playing of the game, if so (or if otherwise :/ ) please comment on the video page.

Good game :P

Unknown by Eshford 2016-04-27T11:22:00

Great game, took me a few tries to beat it :)
Love the art style and music, though it is maybe a bit short (more stages to boss might have been more fun).

Crouch Up by Draft 2016-04-27T11:31:00

A fun little game, I managed to get up to 14 :)
Might be good to add some more mechanics, maybe powerups or something, or maybe another kind of portal where it lets through all the colours except the one it shows (so opposite of the normal ones), as it gets a bit boring after a while.

lorem ipsum by tauntButtered 2016-04-27T11:42:00

Interesting little game.
Perhaps a bit easy, since you can just go clear all obstacles/enemies before letting out your follower.
Might be better if you can't phase through walls, or if the follower is always walking forward so you have some kind of urgency.

I liked the art style on the mcguffin, looks very smooth animation, however you might want to keep all assets at similar level of art detail, otherwise it looks very visually noisy.

Music/sound effects would be good.

LD36 — Ancient Technology

Cave of Colors by Siegfried Croes 2016-09-06T17:52:00

Hey, I gave your game a play on my channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xxub1Jahj3I

A fun little game, I like the art style and the attention to detail wrt color blindness accessibility.
A few more powerup types would make this more enjoyable, as well as maybe giving the enemies different abilities and introducing them at different times.

Gregos Journey by yotam180 2016-09-15T22:24:00

Hey, fun game, though the Egypt puzzle stumped me for a while and I think I got it accidentally as I didn't figure out the number sequence things.

Hey Liam, I finally got around to uploading the video I did on your game:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRRjBDY0KKk

It's overall not a bad game, just lacking in polish and depth. Unit costs and resource gathering would help a lot.

L.M.V. Edison by killthealias 2016-09-02T23:54:00

Hey, just posting to let you know I did a video playthrough of your game here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2z_T8rj3IFM :)
A fun little game, and an idea you could definitely do more with.

Touch the Monolith by silkworm_sweatshop 2016-09-04T17:45:00

Hey, got around to playing this game on my channel:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muXI9KMtcX8

Overall an amusing game, despite the dark twist :)
Could be expanded on by making each stage random, and some kind of failure. Maybe as player succeeds they go forward in time, but go back when they fail or something.

Write Only by randomhuman 2016-09-13T15:50:00

Great art and music, pretty much my only gripe is that it was so short! I'd love to see more levels :)

I did a playthrough of it here:

Mammoth for Speed by Lonely Vertex 2016-09-12T11:42:00

Hey guys, I gave this a play. Didn't break the world record unfortunately but you can see how I did here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxPcU99ShQk

A great little game, I'd love to see a post-jam version with some more levels and a few extra features (like music and a minimap).

Heat Up! by PanicTheFirst 2016-09-05T14:40:00

Gave this game a go, video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PJ8EgxVQFw

Fun little game, though a bigger map with more towers or more enemy types would do a lot to improve the fun, after a while it seems like just aiming the beam at ships, which can be less fun over time.

poramid by unphook 2016-09-08T17:42:00

Hey, gave this game a play here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMcNqWHkf34
Didn't really get the hang of the catapult, but aside from that a good game Would love however a way to shift already placed blocks (maybe it would be very slow or something to balance).

LD37 — One room

Escape The Room by Logeeker 2017-01-01T19:32:00

I think I beat it? (Just went fast enough that collision detection broke?) Not really much to say, I guess you could make some kind of game about this though, like going correct speed so that the physics steps make you end up between certain walls or something.

Ricochet by Liamzo 2016-12-31T20:09:00

An ok game, though could use a lot of polish. The lives indicator confused me at first, and you should user higher rest textures as some of the sprites are a bit blurry.

Room Designer by Jonathan50 2017-01-01T21:28:00

An interesting idea, something I could see as maybe a game for small children. You could have some intelligence as to how it checks challenge completion, so rather than just amount bought eg tiles should be contiguous at bottom, cushion goes on chair etc.

Netflix and Kill by feross 2017-01-02T15:33:00

At first I died because I didn't see what was killing me, but then it became kinda easy. You can just sit in a corner and sweep back and forth to keep them at bay, I let the bangarang loop twice and then decided to just stop shooting.

Overall an interesting experience but could do with some variation (like maybe flying things?).

Sight by alfie275 2016-12-14T20:04:00

@nicruo ah that sucks, I tried making it more compatible with lower end stuff this time (downgraded shaders to glsl 130). Which graphics card do you have?

Sight by alfie275 2016-12-15T00:25:00

Ok, should be fixed now, was an error in how uniforms in the shader were being accessed. Didn't have access to normal PC so source hasn't been updated, just did a hack on the glsl to make it work (hopefully).

Sight by alfie275 2016-12-15T13:48:00

Ok should be fixed now :)

The Room by Tharky 2017-01-01T19:40:00

Cool concept, could do with more content though :) Also it was not initially clear if I was doing correct thing by speeding up, maybe make first choice occur a bit sooner.

One Room Left by nycolas 2016-12-19T17:43:00

(Comment didn't seem to post, sorry if this is double post)
Hey,this is a fun little puzzle game. Only real issue I had with it was the GUI didn't scale to fit the window so some elements were mis-aligned/partially off screen.

It's quite funny and a good interpretation of the theme. It could do with some more levels, and I suspect you could easily generate them randomly.

With a bit of polish and more content, this could easily be a marketable browser/mobile game :)

I did a gameplay video if you wanna check that out:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A03pVIJEqgo

Homes under the Hammer by Tijn 2016-12-21T22:22:00

Vote/comment didn't seem to submit correctly earlier:

Cool game, with very funny story and great music. Would be more fun if there were some way to find out which walls were supporting, and perhaps more levels with random gen.

A Fox's Room by Pusty 2016-12-20T15:25:00

This was a little confusing at first, and I'm not sure I really figured it out rather than just brute forcing it, but with some more explaination could be a very fun game :)

I did a gameplay video of it here:

Hitlers Cactus or only you can stop Trump by stupidmindlessf 2016-12-23T13:38:00

Fun game, though somewhat enigmatic as I couldn't work out how to stop trump. Great aesthetics and very funny.

You can check my vid here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkZKSHBWJiQ

Race-A-Room by Skoggy 2016-12-31T20:02:00

Cool game, but could do with tweaking the car physics and control a bit, it's a little too easy to spin out or fall off the track.

I did a video of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4WH6nOammI

LD42 — Running out of space

The Compactor by Skosnowich 2018-08-15T19:25:11Z

A fun homage to a certain scene from Star Wars, though perhaps a little hectic and overwhelming to start with. Perhaps if you cut or simplified the inventory system?

Quantum Customs by sidewalksleeper 2018-08-24T18:29:36Z

A unique twist on Tetris, though would've been more interesting with different levels perhaps (and a ramp-up in difficulty).

Get Comfortable by mcccclean 2018-08-22T17:26:18Z

I found this a really funny concept. Kinda vague on the exact rules but I had fun anyway.

modbot by 01010111 2018-08-24T18:25:27Z

Love the artstyle, and the stacking modules idea is interesting (reminds me of this old game called "Tanktics"). My only realy gripe would be the lack of checkpoints on the last level (especially with the spike hitboxes as is), though I managed to beat it eventually!

The National Library of Geometric Impossibilities by nanolotl 2018-08-20T17:46:25Z

Fun little game, though could do with taking the existing puzzles and turning them into sequences of puzzles with increasing difficulty/complexity. My only real complaint would be the performance issues, it ran quite slowly unless I looked in certain directions, so I'm assuming it's drawing everything infront of me even if it's not visible. Perhaps look into remaking this in a different engine (Unity, unreal etc), which would also let you have stuff like antialiasing (which would be useful as sometimes the signs were unreadable from a distance).

Overflow Control by dcrdro 2018-08-24T18:41:08Z

Good use of sokoban mechanic. Would have liked to have seen difficulty increase by puzzle complexity rather than speed though, like maybe tiles existing on the board that you cannot move, or tiles that stick to each other or something.

Personal Space by ursagames 2018-08-22T19:10:15Z

Great game, love the asthetic. It kindof reminds me of Blendo games (gravity bone, thirty flights of loving). Simultaneously funny and disturbing, and the feeling of having your personal space invaded/anxiety was conveyed very well through the gameplay.

Last Days on Mars by snails84 2018-08-14T23:37:53Z

Heh, tried my best but could never get past 11 turns. Feel like I came close a few times, and there were a few things I didn't realise at first - Like how oxygen is proportional to housing capacity but food is only proportional to number of habs.

Space Escape Runner by blearn 2018-08-27T11:42:32Z

Liked the audio, and the implentation of gameplay was good though I'd like to have seen some variation. Another thing to consider, is that as the black things are meant to be "holes" in the road, you could maybe look into using some stencil buffer effect or something to have the stars show behind the road.

Bloody Hooligans by Natwomb 2018-08-14T22:35:46Z

A fun game, very satisfying feel to the car when it turns and the back of the car swings out and hits the enemies. Could maybe do with the fuel tanks being a bit more visible and a few more types of weapon/powerup would improve replayability. On the whole though a very polished and fun game :)

Zombies Hate Fire... by Windowwasher 2018-08-21T19:43:24Z

The building of barricades did not really feel (ironically) that constructive, as if you think in terms of zombies spawning per second vs zombies dying per second, barricades do not make any difference and really just waste time you can be spending killing zombies. Perhaps a better mechanic would be if you could place spikes on doors to damage any zombie that attacks it, or if zombies can be crushed by other zombies if they are trapped by a barricade (which would be a good application of the "running out of space" theme). Aside from that it is a very satisfying shooter, especially being able to down zombies via a headshot with the bow. Maybe multiple arrow types would be cool? Like a fire arrow that sets zombie on fire (with potential to spread to other zombies).

TOROID by Yetman 2018-08-24T19:25:12Z

Very interesting concept. Might be cool to have the 2D sections render to texture, and then have that texture on the rings (so you can see the actual level and enemies etc wrapped around the rings).

Random Access Memory by SaRNEh 2018-08-15T19:38:12Z

An interesting idea, but certainly too hectic atleast at the start. The controls were also quite annoying considering it didn't seem to work with the numpad 0 and 1. Next time perhaps use Input.GetAxis rather than Input.GetKeyDown, it does require tracking state yourself to detect rising edges, but it allows users to rebind controls in the launcher. Alternatively have a key rebind screen and use Input.anyKeyDown and Input.inputString (which you can then cast to a KeyCode enum) to allow users to rebind keys.

Overflow by antoined73 2018-08-20T18:00:19Z

Amazing entry, my only real complaint is that it isn't longer! Love the clean visuals especially (with touches like that wake effect), and the triage puzzle gameplay is great. I think this could make a really interesting puzzle game, but would also work well as a local multiplayer game in the vein of overcooked (you could have different vehicles for each player, or different roles piloting the vehicles/attending to rescued people/whatever).

WeAreTheAntidote by Mowztouch 2018-08-22T18:08:06Z

The interface is a bit messy and it felt way too fast. I'd slow it down and maybe make it turn based? Theres the premise of a really engaging game though definitely :)

Warehouse Simulator 2018 by PSiv 2018-08-14T19:29:41Z

A fun game, simple but very challenging, it took me a few tries to get past the first round (it could maybe do with rounds being more generous for a tutorial or something at the beginning). I feel like this would make a fun multiplayer game in the same vein as Viscera Cleanup Detail (and you could multiple roles, so one person perhaps in control room and can see which color needs to be shipped etc). It might also make a quite amusing VR game (or even both, a multiplayer VR game about throwing around boxes and coordinating with teammates).

Requiem for the Postman by Lumos 2018-08-24T18:53:26Z

Really funny, I agree with others it'd make a great VR game, reminds me of a more postal version of Papers Please (Parcels Please? :P).

Blacking out of Whiteness by luxdark 2018-08-14T18:19:00Z

Interesting game, particularly the asthetic. Not really sure if I was just being dumb or there was no way to combat the black holes? In any case an interesting experience and something I can see being expanded.

ENCRYPT3D by Mapt04 2018-08-14T22:26:19Z

A good basis for a game but could do with making the movement puzzle bit the focus, or introduce different file types such that there is a reason for the player to be interacting with the files rather than it just automatically selecting the files.

Classic Snake (Made by 12 yr old) by James51332 2018-08-24T19:17:43Z

Very much just snake, but I can appreciate putting in the time to actually enter something. I too started programming from a young age, though I made the interesting choice to start in C++... Anyway, I would recommend not spending too much time doing low level/boiler platery stuff. Definitely try writing your own engine/framework atleast once (I did and it was valuable, especially to understand what goes on under the hood of modern engines like Unity or Unreal) but don't make the mistake of continually writing engines if what you want to write are games.

Stuck! by chkkll 2018-08-19T18:29:26Z

Great use of the theme. Certainly evokes the same kind of feeling as trying to get through a crowd IRL, but perhaps you could add a few more mechanics, such as perhaps an "excuse me" button (which depletes some kind of politeness meter maybe?), or more kinds of passenger (eg drunks who will jostle you and potentially push you back).

The physics could do with tweaking to be a bit "squishier" - Maybe instead of just relying on the glitchniness of the rigidbody physics, have each passenger repel others within some very small radius, with the strength decreasing based on distance (like springs, or magnets).

Backpack Quest by polyducks 2018-08-14T18:32:00Z

A fun little game, reminds me of a text based version of the EYEZMAZE "GROW" series of flash games. If you added branching paths as well as varying responses to the objects used it you could fit a lot of writing in here and it'd be quite engaging (maybe add a tree showing the possible paths you can take, with untaken paths greyed out?).

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Sacrafices_LD43 by LukeL 2018-12-09T18:32:13Z

Good central idea for a game, could have been fleshed out a bit (eg, ability to hide in cupboards or something). Loved the polish that was there, music was good and the character models had a good art style.

No Arms by Carbonara 2018-12-12T11:35:26Z

Love the style, though I too got stuck in the "stupid moves" bit till it gave me a clue >.< Certainly something that could be expanded upon, though I wouldn't do so just for the sake of it as you have quite a good style here that would be easy to ruin by dragging it out.
