hey
Absolutely fantastic. Really like the concept, clever use of the theme, shame that I couldn't use the catapult whatsoever, and there were only two technologies. Please make a Post-Jam version, because this really has potential.
Pleasant graphics and a nice number of levels. While the levels are basically the same it does add some length to the game. I found that the shape of the blocks make it hard to fit in the space given most of the time. Overall, it feels a tad unfinished but has plenty enough to offer for a LD game.
I've had a great time playing this! ^^ Love the music, the levels are nice (and the people hiring me, my favourite is the alien of course =P ), I like how you made every level a it harder (bigger pyramid and different patterns). I didn't figure out how to use the catapult and the teleport worked just sometimes =(
Here is the link for my video ^-^ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_yvRL9qW5c
This is not just another Pyramid Builder. This is a simple, and very fun puzzle game. The music, graphics and puzzles are really great. So overall a super great experience. Well done.
Hey, this is really cool, I can totally imagine playing longer game of this one :) the music art were also perfetc. But one of my favourite thing about this were the dialogues :D Good job.
Seems like a cool game! I just wish I could have figured out how to get the patterns on the bricks.
This is a really cool game! The art and music are really nice, and dialogs are epic. Anubis' son certainly quit the family business haha.
The fact that you cannot move the blocks once placed makes this more difficult that one may think at first sight.
good job! And thanks for sharing the source :)
I liked the visuals, the music (10 minutes in and it still didn't get on my nerves!), and especially the dialogues.
Regarding the gameplay itself - it was quite fun for a while and the textures were a nice touch. I've found, howewer, that moving the bricks to form even bigger and more decorated pyramids got a little too tedious after a while, especially since you had to walk for too long.
I know there was a catapult and a teleport to make up for this, but the catapult, though fun to play with, was too imprecise (that's a tradeoff I guess) and the process of teleporting took way too long for my taste (also a tradeoff, apparently).
Also, it would be great to have a way to destroy or move the blocks after they've been placed. Sometimes, I've accidentally put the block way too close to the next one, causing it to lift up and screw up the whole pyramid. That may be a bit frustrating, especially if it happens near the end and the rest of the pyramid is perfect.
Apart from that, really solid entry, good job!
Hey, gave this game a play here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMcNqWHkf34
Didn't really get the hang of the catapult, but aside from that a good game Would love however a way to shift already placed blocks (maybe it would be very slow or something to balance).
Really challenging, fun game! I included it in my compilation video series of Ludum Dare 36, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/66O503w0cEI
This was a lot of fun, good job. I think I liked everything about it! I especially liked the different audio vignettes that played on each of the "job" screens, so much that it would have been nice to have them somewhere else in the game, just so I could have listened to them more.
It would have been nice if some of the jobs would require (or gently encourage) the use of the other building tools. I tried them all but found them less comfortable then the basic one, so I just ended up going back to it. The spaceship was perfect though. Good work, I look forward to seeing more from you!
I also included your game in an article of my favorites as well as awarded a trophy to your profile! :) http://fireside.gamejolt.com/post/jam-favorites-ludum-dare-36-eyjmnpkp
