LD33 — You are the Monster

Run Fonster, Run! by Larzan 2015-08-31T11:49:00

Nice little game. I like the look, all very coherent. Also found it very hard, I wished I could do anything to distract the guards. Also couldn't find a way past the first guards without being seen. Would be great to have a little time window in which you could succeed (may be there is and I couldn't find it)

Who cares the M%rtgage by bukt 2015-09-04T06:46:00

This game proves once more that humanity should be ruled by machines. Because why the heck is this stuff so addictive?!
WHo cares...I need to get back and buy another upgrade so my clicks are more effective...
Great entry!

Wolverados - The Good, The Bad and the Lupine! by jhrrsn 2015-08-27T18:27:00

Liked the mood a lot. Music is nice and the gameplay while confusing in the beginning (why are all my fellow wolves so tiny compared to me? Didn't recognize them as wolves first) is soething fresh.
I liked that you can howl. If you can't howl you're not a wolve right?
Would be nice to have some kind of goal, and if the 'combat' would somehow challneging and require you to actually do something. Other than that neat game.

Darklord by lightsoda 2015-08-31T12:05:00

Lots of fun to send out deadly cubes. But I really digged the style.

Terrorist Simulator 2015 by xX12Twisty12Xx 2015-09-03T07:08:00

Cool game and nice adoption of the theme. Controlls could use some love, but good job overall.

Cataphilla by Pomb 2015-09-02T17:52:00

dude that shit is aaaaaaaweeesoooome! Really nice, really addictive - can'ts top. Great music, fantastic flow.

Employee of the Month: A Binary Story by dcolgan 2015-09-01T16:34:00

now this escalated quickly. Neat little game, liked your take on the theme.

Road To Hell by Hyoga-3D 2015-08-31T19:39:00

Awesome! Great job, guys. Really fun and got me hooked for several plays. The car could drive a a bit faster though.

Free Me, You Idiots! by GBGames 2015-08-31T17:09:00

I really liked the theme and the narrative, game play was also fun. I collected a lot of followers (12 I think) but then didn't know what to do. I liked the writing too.

Orc Death Games by Cynapse 2015-09-08T09:14:00

neat little game. It's fun to get faster and faster.

Patient Zero by Friday 2015-09-03T07:19:00

Really great submission. Was lots of fun to infect everyone :) ... and I really digged the artstyle! Really well done!

Harmless by hate-marina 2015-09-08T07:40:00

really loved the sound, art and atmosphere. The controls felt smooth and I enjoyed the beginning. When the running and reaction jump section starts the game is way too hard for me to beat - so I gave up. Would love to play an easier version of this.

Path of a Psychopath by eemmbbeerr 2015-08-27T18:44:00

a very clever and fun little narrative game. Really nice music too and the art is simple but special. Thanks for making this! :-)

My Summer as an Infected Macrophage by unitycoder_com 2015-09-08T13:08:00

loved this one. Great use of the theme and really fun game play. Sometimes I died and didn't understand why.

Destroy Earth by hobblygobbly 2015-08-31T20:03:00

Nice game, but controls were extremely hard for me.

Optimiser by madalaski 2015-08-27T21:08:00

hmm I guess I am not clever enough because I don't get the message everybody is talking about. But I somehow really like the gameplay. As simple as it is it is also quite addictive. Got pretty far.

Passengers by nerial 2015-08-25T11:17:00

Great Game! Great Topic!

Corruption-5 by hexagore 2015-08-26T14:09:00

Well done. Love the ending :)

A Peaceful Farm Stroll by iMer 2015-08-28T15:50:00

man this was fun! very stupid...very mindless...very fun :-). You kept it simple but it has enough variety to be played over and over. I didn't find the music annoying btw. it didn't get into the way. Great entry - this might be something I actually keep playing after the evnt since it is great for a 5 minute game break while working.

Because: You're A Dragon by farnsworth2 2015-08-27T19:55:00

really fun and quite innovative. I couldn't stand the sounds but everything else was pretty neat.

Monster Corp. by elmoGames 2015-08-31T17:15:00

I like the idea but I am not a good enough player to beat this.

Misunderstood by catchthefloaty 2015-08-26T14:19:00

Cool take on the seem. And the people textures where great!

Consume by Rocketship 2015-08-27T18:17:00

reat game. Great job in creating that creepy mood despite the reduced visuls. I agree that the world seems believable and lively - just because of the road and the way the houses and alleys are arranged.
Awesome job!

13th Labor by 6DownStudios 2015-09-09T09:33:00

really liked it. Didn't read the description at first and laughed when the heads started re-growing. Couldn't kill the humans though, seemed like my bites weren't hurting them.

The not so terrible by Dimitri0xFF 2015-08-27T19:11:00

neat little game

Monster by SMASH BASH 2015-08-28T05:49:00

Really nice game that kept me hooked so I played it through - although I usually don't play these kind of games. The ending was a bit disappointing to me - I get that you don't want to make the storsy too simple, but I think now things try to be a bit too clever and are too hidden at the same time.
Overall a great experience.

GOBBO HERDER by shcromlet 2015-09-01T06:57:00

Nice idead - liked the image of ferful goblins you need to drive into battle. Had a little it trouble to get how it works but then I managed to destroy a hut.

Chirping Of Blood by onilink_ 2015-09-01T07:00:00

what a bloody mess :-)

Strangers by GameQuester 2015-09-01T07:06:00

ha ha I got rid of them. Nice pixel art and I liked the theme and the mood.

Lich Rising by juxipolo 2015-08-27T06:22:00

Wow this is really impressive. Probably one of the most complex and yet fully functional LD game I played so far. Even with a full tutorial! I really like the idea of using your dead enemies as the ressource to spawn your own new units.

King Pong by frnknstn 2015-09-08T13:41:00

I liked the loo of it - and the AI is quite challenging actually.

Cave Sweet Cave by scorched 2015-09-09T09:41:00

liked the style and the audio. Managed to eat two guys but the third one on the far right always escapes.

Munk by MrTroy 2015-09-01T16:21:00

Wow this was unexpected - the screenshots don't tell you how awesome this little game is - it all clicks and comes together once it runs. I love the look - you should show the Munk's face on the screenshot - don't hide it.
Love the music. Love the "story". The gameplay is simple and fun. Nice!

WEREDUDE by crazya 2015-08-27T19:58:00

is there anything after the dog food?

WAYWARD by cowboycolor 2015-08-27T08:12:00

Wow this is the most amazing entry I have played so far. Not sure how it matches the theme but who cares: this is fantastic. Really loved the art, the mood and the design. Just great!

Cant i just stretch my neck peacefully ? by grynca 2015-09-01T16:30:00

like the creature and the hand drawn art. Progress bar is good but would be even better if you know how much of how much progress you made.
Is there a way to survive at the end?

Predator Hood by Lucho9 2015-08-26T14:13:00

Controlled jumping was really hard, but the attack animation is really nice.

Kill All Fairies by TackoramaLtd 2015-08-31T19:46:00

Was really fun to kill fairies :)
I would change the pacing a bit, as in the beginning, it is a pure clickfest (which is really fun, as fairies are dying every click :) ) and later on it's pretty frutstrating, as they are on screen for a too short period of time. I preffered the fairy-massacre part in the beginning :)

Trick and Treat? by killersnoofie 2015-08-25T20:20:00

fun idea and nice art and good mood. I felt the gameplay was very repetetive. Hiding behind the tree and waiting for one kid after the other was missing a challenge and quickly felt like work.

The Pit by Fatal. 2015-08-27T06:11:00

very solid for a first game. For me it was hard to play because I use a German keyboard the Z is far away from the X so jumping was tough.
Pretty good level design. May be you should consider spawning less enemies in the beginning so the player can figure everything out before dieing.

You came in peace by CADmiy 2015-08-26T13:39:00

I like the look, the idea, and the fast pace...but I couldn't figure out how to play it at all. Even after I read the description. Some feedback for hypnotizing someone would be great.

Wild Flirting by bloomingbuds 2015-08-26T14:28:00

well done, really enjoyed it

Chaser by N4RU7O 2015-08-27T05:53:00

I laughed. Neat little fun game. I agree with the poster befoe that the walking sounds were pretty irritationg. I liked the look and the simpple gameplay was kind a nicely tuned, so I had fun.

The Mammoth: A Cave Painting by inbetweengames 2015-08-25T01:22:00

Well done, guys!

Sea Hunter by scottredrup 2015-08-28T06:04:00

Unfortunately it seemed broken for me: whenever I clicked to attack the ship it the shark swam downwars somehwere and did nothing. I also don't get what fish I should ead and how many - not sure what the number in the shark's mouth means. I really live the art style though, very fresh and funny. Would be great if you gave them some 2 frame animations. I would love to play it again once you fixed the bug.

Dude, Stop by Patomkin 2015-08-25T13:47:00

Hillarious! I love it :D

Sunset Monster by dregamr 2015-09-01T18:58:00

Awesome experience. Great style both art and audio - challenging but good gameplay

Monstrosity by celsyum2 2015-08-27T19:01:00

couldn't find the connection between the placement of the bombs and the music. and regarding gameplay - is there any reason not to just clock all the time?

Caring Creature by stupidmindlessf 2015-08-26T06:07:00

@orange08 yeah we now figured it's not quite as self explaing as we thought. Here is a gameplay video that shows what to do:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrmKbRrXlAs

Caring Creature by stupidmindlessf 2015-08-26T06:09:00

@sprawl: you are right, polishing the puke particles was something planned since Saturday but never made it due to more fundamental stuff.
The harpoons not hitting the creature was a last minute "fix" when we learned the game was too hard for most people, we changed it so harpoons can't hit the tentacles.

Caring Creature by stupidmindlessf 2015-08-27T20:04:00

thanks everyone for playing and all the warm words. Since everybody seems to like the art so much. Check out @bernddiemer on twitter. He is posting stories drawn on post-its using in this style.

@voidstar: just tried it and it worked...?

KaijuKrush by Sparrow 2015-09-03T05:33:00

really nice one. Liked the music, sound and graphics - feels like a complete package.

Strider by CiderPunk 2015-09-09T09:38:00

great start. Given all the things you had to learn during the jam, you got really far. Would be great if you finished it, post - jam (maybe go for 3D as suggested in your list.

LD37 — One room

Text Me Later by tomer_cool 2016-12-15T20:49:00

really funny, made me laugh. Great job on the soundtrack and the art. I actually managed to reach the end, so the gameplay was fine too.
Keep it up, looking forward to see your next game next Ludum Dare.

Bounce by Rad4th 2016-12-15T20:53:00

this looks interesting, but unfortunately the controls don't work for me. Tried restarting several times (windows 8)

Journey to Mars by brainchewer 2016-12-15T21:08:00

Good writing, good humor. I am not a big fan of the roll-die-to-die-haha gameplay though.
Would love to play a version that lasts a little longer, because I really enjoyed the writing and the premise.

Well of Youth by Skosnowich 2016-12-17T13:57:00

This is a pretty impressive compo entry. Liked the lighting and the music: the gameplay is solid but would benefit a lot from more polish and balancing.
Cool thing!

levelone by dietzribi 2016-12-24T09:17:00

Love the writing and the approach to the Stanley formula. Really impressive how many different gameplay went into this. I couldn't manage the platforming though - made it almost to the top but not quite - felt to me like a too brutal difficulty spike all of a sudden.
It still feels incredibly complete and moody and all. Great entry! Would lpve to play a more refined version some time.

Farming while trapped in a room simulator 2363 by gurkan96 2016-12-14T22:45:00

First if all: the name is hilarious and got extra points for humor from me. Second: While the approach is interesting, so far probably the only managament game I have seen this Ludum Dare, the progress is very linear. Once you understood what you need to build, it's basically just executng that plan in order which makes it feel a little bit like work.
Still a very solid entry, that was fun to play.

Room To Heaven by carlosvVk 2016-12-14T22:35:00

It's surprsing how much fun it is to simply shoot things in the face - even if they're just purple cubes - as long as they splash in nice particles and one gets a cool sound when shooting.
You definately got the shooting right and having power ups is always fun. But it would be even better if I had any control over using the power up, rather than it just being used for the first shots when the wave starts. Would make me feel clever.
Nice little game!

Elephant In The Room by PTSnoop 2016-12-24T08:30:00

Great entry! Very funny and fun to play. Also enjoyed the clean art. Made it out with a score of 7.

0.25 by ARuculaDoMal 2016-12-13T18:10:00

weird, interesting, clever. I liked it

One room, one life by Ygogo 2016-12-13T20:06:00

really cool. Well staged, with the next escalation right at the right moment. While low gravity is cool, in one of my plays it lead to the tool stuck behind the o2 screen, I then accidentally activated that screen and couldn't get out of it.
Still a neat game - would be great if you'd continue it.

Pizza Catcher by Kyrv19 2016-12-15T11:38:00

funny, and solid game. Unfortunately it turned out, I am really bad at catching pizza.

Floor is Lava! by #gmdsgn 2016-12-14T19:06:00

This is just great, art and animation look fantstic I especially love the furniture swimming in lava: very dynamic. As a small convenience feature, I would have wished for jump not only on space but also n W and arrow-up. Would have allowed me to play with one hand. but thats a detail, this is really polished and my highest ranked game so far.

Robbery Inc. by Breizhion 2016-12-15T10:01:00

Very solid and fun platformer. Nice art, and very well slected music. I found the challnege on the way in exactly right, on the way out I couldn't deal with the long double jump section where in the end there is a trap placed exactly where you need to land.
A couple of times I got stuck when I landed right at the beginning of a platform - something not right with the collision box I guess.
Overall a really good entry. Kepp it up!

Shit Happens by vrojman 2016-12-13T19:57:00

I liked the look and what I saw so far but couldn't rate it because it kept crashing on me.

Chaos Room by fshpsmgc 2016-12-14T18:28:00

this was hilarious. Really funny and a good take on the theme. I found it very hard though, there is just so much burning and I have so little time to button mash my program.
Gave 5 stars for humor.

Room Defender by Feathergunner 2016-12-14T22:28:00

This was surprisingly much fun. Because it is so simple and there is no aiming or dodging or choosing attacks involved, it almost feels like a rythm game.
I could imagine this with a nice driving soundtrack could be pretty awesome.
good job!

Scary Monsters by candeeirostudio 2016-12-15T20:23:00

Good one. I liked the art which ws kind of coherent and cute. Same for the audio and nice idea to use toy guns as weapons.
It was too hard for my taste, I didn't get very far and would have wished for an easy mode.
The flashes are very cool and add to the mood.

Bar Brawl by badtorse 2016-12-15T19:57:00

Fun idea and fun to play. I made more than 750,000 in one playthrough but after that never managed to get even close in plenty of plays.
Not sure how the set up at the beginning works: is it a timer, or do you have a limited number of guys you can deplace?

Dodge, Dash, Dip, Dive and Duck by Maffew 2016-12-13T18:15:00

closes without notice, as soon as I reach the exit.

Dodge, Dash, Dip, Dive and Duck by Maffew 2016-12-16T17:40:00

-> "Move towards the golden ducky on the menu screen to start the game, move to the exit door to quit the game.
"

Okay, now that I understood that I actually played your game instead of the interesting menu ;-)
Quite liked it. It feels like a very smooth, chilled version of Rick Dangerous if anyone remembers that. Very nice art and I like slowly collecting all golden duckies.
The climbing audio fx is too long, which leads to it noticeably still playing after you finished climbing.
It would be great to have some kind of hint in which direction one can find the next ducky, because claimbing all the way into one direction to find out there was nothing can be frustrating - especially the part where you are slowly climbing back all the way you came.
I also really wish for some kind of checkpoint - maybe after collecting a duck, so you don't have to do all again from the beginning.
Overall a very nice project though with great artwork, relaxing music and smooth gameplay.

Disaster Drinks by Notester 2016-12-15T11:04:00

this is a really neat little game. It's nice how the diffiulty slowly escalates and what starts out easy becomes a mayhem later, especially when you need to adde several ingedients.
I am not sure how the gey question mark ones are supposed to work?
Great first entry, see you next time!

Neural Escape by Kroute 2016-12-15T11:10:00

Pretty interesting game. I liked the board game feel when you have to take an item - even if it's bad for you. Found it very hard to get through though.

Decube by ato 2016-12-15T21:24:00

Very stylish, very minimalistic, pretty cool design. It's also extremely brutal, I couldn't survive longer than a acouple of seconds, but that's okay, since you restart so quickly.
Dieing from touching a wall or ceiling might be a bit harsh.
Really like the weakspots on the cube concept.

Bob & Bernard Against the Nazis by arcadehero 2016-12-13T21:08:00

this was hilarious. Had lots of fun. Great art and very enjoyable gameplay - even though it's a bit on the grindy side for me - I wished I could have been able to buy a gun earlier.
Great game, keep it up!

Voyage by TitoMakaniJr 2016-12-14T09:40:00

Great mood and nice visuals. I liked the contrast of art and story. I would have wished for a little more interactivity and at the end game there are some continuity issues with the things he says (still referring to her, while she is already gone.)
Great use of the theme, neat game and quite the achievement.

DEBOI-OPPAI by TBOI TEAM 2016-12-15T08:05:00

Nice art and interesting idea. The typing under time pressure could be fun, but feels too restrictive, I would have preferred to being able to type in something wrong.
Closing the game and forcing me to reopen it after every game over is very annoying.
The audio is quite good and underlines the pressure you are aiming for.

ENRUM by JimmyTheHack 2016-12-16T06:58:00

Link is broken at the moment.

Throne Room by Josh Riley 2016-12-24T08:39:00

Really liked the writing and the humor. It is very hard though and I am missing the soft fail mechanisms like the bars showing the state of the different factions in reign.
Loved the art.

wRoom by Boberro 2016-12-14T19:20:00

Not bad. Nice take on the theme. Reminds me of Micro Machines, but as a slower, more simulation like version. As the others wrotes, the time seems bugged.

One Step Back by Holofire 2016-12-14T09:23:00

Why does this hve only so few comments? This game is amazing! Stunning art, the character looks so funny. I liked the writing too. It does borrow a little from Stanley, but is its very own thing.
I liked the puzzles and the branching too. Like blinry, I would love to play the final thing, so it would be great if you'd let me know once you're done. Find me on twitter @freejsf.
Have fun finishing it.

Room Service by alfadur 2016-12-14T20:59:00

This is really fun and looks very cute. At first this was very confusing, because the actual situation makes no sense whatsoever, but as a memory game it is actualy pretty good.

Beware Of The Spiders by psychomonster 2016-12-17T13:47:00

Well rounded nice little game. LIked that everything was so well readable with the multiplier on the head of the girld and the different spider types.
One thing Iwould have wished for would have been a win condition.
Nicely done!

radnet by radmars 2016-12-25T09:06:00

5 stars for mood, innovation and theme. Felt like year 2000 all over again.

Breach Lockdown by DesignerNap 2016-12-14T20:50:00

Pretty good art and nice job on the atmosphere, creating an intense high pressure mood. I always died with different numbers of survivors - not fure if there actually is a way out and also not entriely sure if I did the right thing. I basically typed in the code of the red blinking areas and they went red-X - that's correct?
Still liked it, could be something for VR if further fleshed out.

The Eternal Empire by oskardevelopment 2016-12-13T18:42:00

very well written, and a neat design with smart loops that forced me to make tough calls.
Also a very clever use of the theme.

what a wonderful experience and great use of the theme. Thak you!

Quest of the Wizard by Linear 2016-12-20T21:07:00

This was extremely clever - possibly the most clever game I have played this Ludum Dare.
The core idea is great fun kind of a portal-but - or should I say Doortal ha ha (sorry could not resist) ;-)
Also really a lot of content for the short amount of time - very impressive.
Congratulations, great entry!

Skip Work! by TiByte 2016-12-14T21:15:00

this was quite fun. The art is cute and the gameplay works pretty well. The only thing I would ask to add would be a way to predict where my co-workes will go to next, to allow planning moves ahead. Some more feedback for the stamp machine would also been nice.
The wording in the end screen made me wonder - is there a way to actually win? Or is it just survive as long as possible?
Good job everyone, all in all a really nice entry.

Dawn Experiments by Ekilibr 2016-12-14T21:57:00

wow! What a great entry! Why doesn't it have more comments?
Fantastic atmosphere, groegeous art and affects, clever puzzles and really great sound design. I also loved the use of lighting and how it brings in the connection to the name of your game.
Great job!

Don't Eat My Babies by pkenney 2016-12-16T07:03:00

Really neat design, very clever. It has a lot of depth despite its only two actions.
It's also really sad when your babies get stolen.
Thumbs up!

I'm no shut-in by Junber 2016-12-15T21:44:00

I would have loved to play this but unfortunately the resoulution seems to be hardcoded and doesn't fit on my screen (1440*900) :-(
This way some part is cut off.

The killer is in this room by t4u 2016-12-14T21:44:00

this is really cool. Such a smart way of using the theme and building something atmospheric and complete with very minimalistic ways. I really like the selection interface of the lamp above the suspects.
I didn't find the killer though and I am not sure what the mssing link is - I thought it was someone else, because that person lied.
I agree about the controls - a small hint for selecting the questions would be helpful.
Good writing too.

Herboto by cottontrek 2016-12-15T08:31:00

very round and fun game. The plant mechanic addas a lot of depth to the arena shooting. I wished for a way to keep the bugs away from my gun plants, because often I wasn't able to reach my guns anymore and died because of that.
Sound would be awesome, you should really add some and put this on kongregate or some similar page.

Sir John and the Cursed Castle by ikarus 2016-12-13T19:17:00

works fine. Would be great if it could have a challenge added beyond the crate and button puzzle.

Guns n' Crates by MrMordem 2016-12-14T23:16:00

Very cool looks. It would be great if there was some feedback when you'd hit a guy with something, them just dispapearing is a bit underwhelming - especially when everything look so nice.
What am I supposed to do if there is nothing spawning at the ceiling anymore but there is still a baddie? Happened a few times - or is this a bug? If not, this is a deadend and feels bad.
I really like the style of the game and the attention to detail to the made up handheld.

Hoaxed by Ayxs 2016-12-15T21:19:00

Gorgeous art and I like the setting a lot. It really feels like you are a very small person on a desk. Jumping and movement is also fine and feels good - but I couldn't find where I need to go, once I reach the thing where the air blows out. What am I supposed to do next?
Good use of the theme.

Manic Mars Base Manager by Downtown 2016-12-25T08:39:00

Cool concept, liked the view on mars.
I didn't get at all how to lock on to the shuttle and therefore lost a lot of population all the time.

Mouse Trap by mrwillowb 2016-12-22T11:02:00

Extremely impressive compy entry, holy cow! Must be one of the ost complete games I have seen so far. The theme is well used and the gameplay, kept me stubbornly playing.
I wished there would have been a bigger challenge at some point, I'd liked an opportunity to feel like I did something clever or got better at the game.
I would have expected to be able to place traps and cheese at different locations and found it odd, that they all stacked at the same spot.
The music is unfortunately not very good and the game would have been better off without it.
The art is pretty nice, everything very consistent, nice comic look.
All in all a really great entry.

Space Pals by dydx 2016-12-17T11:10:00

Good writing and mood and a very complete game, with so much stuff to do. Unfortunately I had a hard time getting frther, because I found it way too hard for my puny skillset.
Yet, a pretty god game.

LD37 - Find The Room by Iak 2016-12-25T09:26:00

feels quite complete and I like the writing. I wished there would have been more opportunities for me to feel clever and figure something out, with the lack of an inventory and auto-use of every item it felt this wasn't really the case.
Walking was very slow, some acceleration when walking longer distances would have been great.
Liked the music.
Nice entry.

Story in a Room by unnamed1334 2016-12-14T22:11:00

It is a submission, which is an achievement in itself.
But I have to say, I am afraid I didn't enjoy this very much. I could solve the puzzles only with you writing the solution here - and they weren't much fun, the art looks so incoeherent, that I am wondering if you made it? And the story was just confusing at this point.
It is a start though and I am sure your next game will be better just because of the learings you gained from this one.

The Mysterious Room of Dr. Ludum by Quetzakol 2016-12-14T18:16:00

Gorgeous art and I loved the humor. I got stuck eventually at the code puzzle partuially because I just didn't understand how to control the input. I would have expected, that 1,2,3,4 would change the digit at that position, but somehow that wasn't how it worked.
Shame, I would have liked to finish it.

Budget Mortuary by comatomatoes 2016-12-25T08:21:00

This is really funny. Loved he corpse physics and the core idea. Agree with most here, that the funeral timer could need some polish to make it even more fun.
But it's already a great and one of the most original entries.

Carnival Host by JohnGalt 2016-12-14T18:41:00

The carnival thing is quite fun and pretty clever. Not sure what the purpose of the dream sequence is and it feels strange having to avoid presents.
Would be grat if I could spend the money for something e.g. for extra time.

Connection is lost by MrJackphil 2016-12-14T18:52:00

Really digged the art and audio. The gameplay is cool but sometimes a bit clunky because it looks as if you need to stand exactly right to activate a trigger.
I also always end up with exactly 37 points. Bug or concidence?

Fracture by andrewjoy 2016-12-16T06:55:00

Wow! This was really moving. This triggered actual emotions and memories for me and all of that in that short time.
I also understood the yellow circles pushing you back as repression of memories, that you try to forget and you have to work to actually get to them.
Fantstic work!

Dreadroom by nassi 2016-12-15T22:00:00

Very clever game and very unique mix of gameplay. I am still not entirely sure if the tile mechanic is really adding a lot, but I still enjoyed it.
The art is also pretty nice.

Euclid by TriSquare 2016-12-14T21:04:00

This was running, but it looked all broken - like constant distortion and was basically unplayable for me.

Cabinous by p1x3lruckus 2016-12-15T11:16:00

Played this a couple of times. Very tense and I tried all kind of plans to keep the zombies out, but never made it to finding the keys.
nice take on the theme.

You're the Boss by trenchgames 2016-12-14T22:52:00

Gorgeous art and animations. Also liked the take on the boss theme. It was a bit too hard for my taste and I wish the hit boxes were more forgiving.
Still had a lot of fun.

One Room One Life by Nullz 2016-12-20T20:53:00

Nice mood, and interesting idea. Liked the writing too. I agree, that more objects to interact with would have been cool.
What an unexpected ending. Pretty impressive you made your own engine for this.

Daedalight by Sundr0 2016-12-14T22:21:00

This is one extremely cool and innovative game that averybody should try. Great job with the initial idea and great job on the level design. While did get lost and so far have found only one of you guys, it always felt as I should have been able to get on.
Some more of the grafittis would be nice sometimes.
Too tired to beat it today, but will get bak to it for sure.

Time Passes by leo_p_mahon 2016-12-13T21:12:00

Interesting topic, interesting game. I really liked the mood it set and think it managed to be respectful and empathic.

The Perfect Murder by Uruca Games 2016-12-15T07:54:00

Wow! Really impressive entry. Stunning, outstanding art, very smooth gameplay. At first I thought it was too easy but having the different ways of killing as additional challenges adds. If you would continue working on it, I would ask for ways to distract people, so I don't have to wait so long to make a strike.
Tremendous game!

Room for Doubt by KBF123 2016-12-20T20:42:00

The characters look great and have - well so much character. The writing is quite funny too.
Unfortunately it is so very unfinished, that there isn't much to play yet, but if you would finish it now, by just connceting the existing dots, this could be really good.
Let me know if you do that :-)

QuestMatch.Com by Archonthewizard 2016-12-14T07:48:00

impressive achievement in such a short amount of time. works really well, very rounded, managing your team works pretty well.

World of Toyships by WizzardMaker 2016-12-16T17:27:00

I won! \o/
This is a nice one. feels very solid and if there was a winning screen at the end it would feel pretty complete (no one knows about missing game modes).
I also like the stylized looks, they just work. Took me a little while to understand we are in a bathroom and water is coming in from the shower - so also very clever use of the theme.
If you'd continue I would say you take a look at the AI, because at the moment one wins out of the box just by staying close to a wall and have them crash into it.
Great achievement!

One Roomba by KevinWorkman 2016-12-25T08:10:00

I like minimal design, and this one is a really neat example for this. Your game is quite a lot of fun because it makes great use of fun core mechanic and clear, redabable escalating challenge.
Very well done and super impressive doing this on your phone.

Omega Robot by mattparks5855 2016-12-24T08:47:00

nice first entry. Has everything a game needs and using your own engine is quite the achievement.
On the gameplay side I would have wished for a more interesting level design, allow me to feel clever and find a "good" path that allows me to avoid enemies.
Really good start though, keep it up!

Ants in the Kitchen by theCrancher 2016-12-15T08:18:00

This is kind of cool. I really like the alien looking cube-ish ants. The controls are a bit hard to get to - shooting on the right mouse button was unexpected. I can drive outside the level on the right side. The mchine pistol seems like a bad weapon since it is super expensive and immediately empty.
Would be great if there was some fitting audio.
Overall the game is quite fun.

The Dash Club by bigbuggames 2016-12-25T09:15:00

This is brilliant! Best music and really fun gameplay. Love the blue tiles and being thrown to ceailing or bottom. I wished there was some more animation feedback for being on the different tiles, like doing super moves when on golden ones and struggeling when on a red one, but that would be post-LD material.
Awesome game!

After Party by saucygames 2016-12-14T08:03:00

this was my favorite LD game so far. Kind of a Hotline Miami but with girls.
The only thing that bothered me was that the hitboxes were very unforgiving and you needed to stand exactly right to hit someone.
other than that, really awesome.
Very cool, very stylish!

Exam Simulator by nlbi21 2016-12-14T08:48:00

this is awesome! I really felt thrilled and had lots of fun. Great game, everything comes nicely together. I might have wished for a soft fail when the teacher sees me, so it isn't instant game over.
Gave this one the highest ranking so far.

Mouse House by conrad123 2016-12-15T21:49:00

Nice little game. Gotta love the cheese speed boost. I found it very hard though.
Pretty art though, interetsing decision to make it black & white, reminds of old cartoons.

Hitlers Cactus or only you can stop Trump by stupidmindlessf 2016-12-13T20:24:00

thanks for your feedback, really appreciated! :-) The game is meant to be played several times, to experiment a little bit with outcomes and possibilities.
There is a tiny little bit of feedback when your action is altering a timeline - watch for it.

Hitlers Cactus or only you can stop Trump by stupidmindlessf 2016-12-14T11:08:00

Oh no! Fake News! Lügenpresse! New release to save the truth!

If you happened to have played before and had stopped Trump but hadn’t changed the timeline:
You did it all wrong and you now must play again.
Basically fake news.
Now, you could argue it wasn’t your fault and that there was a bug in the game, fine - but you should have known better, right?
Anyway its fixed now and you won't get so easy away next time.

Now stop complaining, go play HCOYCST again and this time stop Trump for real!

Hitlers Cactus or only you can stop Trump by stupidmindlessf 2016-12-14T23:20:00

@Shockk good hint with the music, thanks. Wasn't thinking about it and opted out. It's all credited though.
@Xwilarg
There are some patterns, like certain items leading to similar futures for different people. Yet, it does involve more trial and error than I wished for. The more sophisticated subtile hint system didn't make it into this version, but might at a later point.

Hitlers Cactus or only you can stop Trump by stupidmindlessf 2016-12-15T07:44:00

@t4u you're right about the hint system - a better cause and effect connection display was planned but didn't make it in.

>I feel news could have been more crazy. Hitler as peace >loving rock star, Monroe as conservative housewife, Freud as >transvestite - that would be something.

you clearly haven't seen all of the outcomes yet ;-)

Hitlers Cactus or only you can stop Trump by stupidmindlessf 2016-12-15T21:06:00

@Fuad: I wanted a newspaper in every room but that didn't make it. Possibly something for a later point.
Did you see that there is a quick blink when you successfully changed something, though?

Hitlers Cactus or only you can stop Trump by stupidmindlessf 2016-12-18T18:35:00

Hey everybody,
huge thank you to all who played Hitler's Cactus and left us feedback.
We heard you and made a new version with some small improvements, such as new and more frequent alternate outcomes and an in-game menu, that allows you to restart the game at any point.
The original LD version can still be found on itchio, just scroll down to the LD 37 versions.

Hitlers Cactus or only you can stop Trump by stupidmindlessf 2016-12-24T14:34:00

hey sP0CkEr2,
there is an indicator: every time your choice had an impact the screen flashes in a brief sepia tone and you hear a sound. Maybe it's too subtle or you had bad luck?

Bugroom by erik 2016-12-15T10:24:00

Wow! I had a lot of fun with this. Really good mechancis and quite the achievement and it is very playable.
the fact that you can only control the workers and only indirectly adds a twist to the usual RTS gameplay. At my first playthrough, I never scrolled the map and felt super safe and superior with all the currency I was harvesting behind my thick walls. But suddenly there was a red invasion and despite my many guards I stand no chance.
Cool game, you should finish it!

UPYACH by rodancheg 2016-12-16T06:44:00

This is extremely fun! Love it! Did you make the music yourself?

Hurry Up ! by Mathiouza 2016-12-16T18:30:00

haha that was fun.
I liked how you were often interrupted and couldn't or wouldn't finish the task you're actually on right now. Alos liked the pressing RMB for good idea and LMB for bad idea, which was hard for me because I am kinda "wired" the oher way around.
Pretty neat project - especially for 14 hours and 1 person.

My Dear Pepe by Chroteus 2016-12-22T12:53:00

this is really cool. Had a lot of fun swinging my sword and killing those slimey beasts. The dynamics that come from you being able to push enemies and Pepe are surprisingly deep.
Th feedback when killing the guys is very satisfying.
Nice one.

Luread Mud - World Tour '73 by desucrerer 2016-12-15T11:24:00

6616
Hahha! That was fun! Great job on the destructibles and animations and the overall mood.
I didn't vote for audio, because it's not from you, or did you record it?
Would be even better with the throwable fish! ;-)

Yetis and Unicorns by bwalter 2016-12-14T23:00:00

Very stylish, very trippy, very cool game. Really dig the super stylized pixel and the soundtrack fits so well and gets you in a flow and you just continue to play, restart for restart - because I also found it very hard.
Great job! Would love to see this continued after the jam.

Henry Snackleworth's Weird Day by Cerno_b 2016-12-14T19:42:00

Fun take at the theme. Liked art and sound and the creative ideas, making basically 3 entirely different boss fights is quite the achievement.
I agree with the others here though, that the hit boxes are an issue and that it can get frustrating, especially with the ice monster.
I also wished for some other kind of attack, so I wouldn't just smash the same button.
Still a nice game and impressive for a 1 person gig - keep it up!

Bird Cage by JozefGorila 2016-12-17T11:00:00

Nice job in completeing this. The game loops is actually quite fun. The only thing really missing is sound. It would be great if the score would be full number steps - 0.1 feels small and insignificant - give me full numbers. Players like big numbers.
If you continue it, what would be a great addition were stages you could complete - so some accomplishment beyond the pure survival.
Good job!

Safety Room by BerneyTD 2016-12-15T19:37:00

This was funny. Nice art, smooth gameplay and the story is kinda hilarious. The shooting traps in the later stages got quite were too hard for my taste though and made me quit.
Anyway: bonus points for a game about the president ;-)

Madness Mathematica by jusw85 2016-12-15T20:12:00

Nice one. I actually enjoy these kind of math questions, so yes I had some fun with it. It would have been even better, if there was any connection between the platforming and the math questions. At the moment they are very disconnected.
Still a fun first entry. Keep it up!

NPPTF - Nuclear Power Plant Training Facility by Brickkid512 2016-12-14T20:38:00

I really liked thr promise of this and the take on the theme. Making the controls complicated and forcing you to read and basically learn them outside the game is funny and fits the narrative. Unfortunately it makes the game not much fun to play, because - to be honest - I couldn't really be bothered to learn all those controls by alt-tab-ing between game and pdf.
I did like the art, the humor and the original idea.

Lil Billy by Theintentnerds314 2016-12-14T19:52:00

When I saw the little guy fart to jump I laughed. He doesn't look like a gnome though, but like a little boy himself. The traps are frustrating and often triggered when you "don't" touch them, e.g. when you are jumping straight up and the trap is on a platform to the right, you are still triggerering it.
I gave up pretty quickly because it felt unfair.
I liked the humorous book titles.

Rotate the room! by DOXM 2016-12-15T20:04:00

This is very good and very original. We discussed a very similar idea at the beginning of our bainstorming. The art is very nice too. I found the puzzles a bit hard to play, but got better after a while. I agree with you that the tutrialis very hard - maybe make it easier?
Would be great to see a more refined version of this.

RemoteRanch by Tym17 2016-12-14T09:04:00

really interesting entry with a spohisticated concept.I couldn't really find out what to do though, the life form didn't seem to be interested in the food.
I also agree that the robot controls could need an overhaul, at the moment you are spending a lot of time just to change a simply direction. Maybe as the farmer, you just need to go to a control device, then click into the robot screen and then can control the robot directly by clicking within the robot screen?
Overall, I think this has potential and you should continue it.

Out of Sight by Nervous Composers 2016-12-25T08:53:00

Really fun game. Love the usage of the theme and the raising pressure when she comes closer and closer.
First it was very unclear to me how to actually clean up. I had to look at the screenshot to see I coull throw everything on the bed. Maybe a garbage can or something like that would have been more intuitive?
Really cool game though, could be big on kongregate or similar platforms.

Spaceman Spim by Avon 2016-12-15T20:41:00

I really like the oppressive mood. Nice job with the self balancing systems of sound attracting enemies and gaining the ship parts through killing them
In the latest version it seems to be the best strategy to just stand in the healing cabin and shoot all enemies from there, because you heal faster than you take damage.
Would be awesome if you'd finished this.

Feeding Time by leewalkergm 2016-12-13T18:49:00

fun litte game. really enjoyed when I could strike back at these bigger fish

LiftBoy by stepp 2016-12-14T23:07:00

Fun idea, and pretty innovative. Unfortunately I found the need to align the lift each time I am landing at a floor rather frustrating and taking the fun out of an otherwise interesting game. Would be great if you could fix this and make it way more forgiving, since there is no animation played, there is no real need to hit the exact right pixel.
I did like the humor though, those guests look hilarious - I would never let tem in though.

CeCe by sistinedisco 2016-12-16T17:57:00

Things I liked: the stylized look - especially the world has a nice retro future look with interetesting pixel art.
The use of the theme - the overall idea and the way to interact with an AI. The zoom into the city miniature.
Things that annoyed me: The tediousness of the tasks and that you frequently didn't get any feedback. The tedious tasks and the fact you often had to stand at the exact right pixel in order to trigger something.
The music. The fact that the game was 190mb despite having very little content.
Would I like to play again? Not in the current state, but if it was continued and there was taken care especially of the triggering and posssibly more story - yes I would.

Mighty Lints by TheMightyTeam 2016-12-15T21:54:00

this is very stupid and very fun - so just along my lines :-)
Didn't really get what I was supposed to do, but hey - shooty lints.
The webversion was unplayable for me because of lag - windows worked fine.

One room Ninja by indrkl 2016-12-15T20:59:00

Gorgeous animations and great art. Gameplay is brutal but well done. Interesting concept with the rooom getting destroyed and you building it up again (or whatever is happening).
cool game!

Bill Untold by josemorval 2016-12-15T21:39:00

This is pretty cool. The hacking mechanic is interesting and fits well with the pacing and the time pressure. It's slow, but not too clunky.
I wished there was still feedback on which computer you are when performing a Check file.
I managed the first room but got caugh in the second.
Good mood and nice choice of music too.

The Kendy murder by KerelOlivier 2016-12-15T19:22:00

this is a good start, but I agree that it feels too unfinished to really test. I wished there was some more feedback when looking at evidence or talking to suspects.
But I like the premise, would be good to see when you finish it.

Null Void by SuperPokeunicorn 2016-12-24T09:06:00

Greatgame, lots of fun to play. Controlsare super snappy and to the point, the idea overall is great and well executed, sound fits, escalating difficulty is just right...
Very impressive entry - especially, probably the best compo I have seen so far.
