LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Duck and Cover Forever! by influxWishdream 2015-04-21T02:05:00

The menu is very nice and polished, but the rest of the game obviously needs a lot of art added. Some of the objects in the world felt like they should be in the backround, and were annoying to have to destroy. Knockback is always applied in the direction you are looking, not in the direction the damage came from.

The Higgs' Gun by Jeasonfire 2015-04-22T17:33:00

Well polished and a solid idea. Some way to know where the shot would go would be nice, perhaps a laser pointer or just a target on the center of the screen. The levels could have been a little bit more difficult, with more use of the game mechanic (Switching things on and off through other platforms, ect). It's also a little confusing to be able to switch to ammo types you don't have.

Floppy Man by Selzier 2015-04-20T02:21:00

Interesting gameplay, I didn't think I'd have as much fun as I did rubbing a grey dudes face against the ground. There was a little less direction than I would have liked, and the view seemed too small to be able to predict where I would fall and what I would have to dodge.

Pie Day Revenge by Supernovadx 2015-04-21T01:27:00

Certainly interesting! It's annoying that the people run faster than the pies, I have to pin everyone against a wall to hit them at all. The graphics could of course use some improvement. At some point one of the people lodged themselves in a wall in the maze section, not sure how to recreate it.

Testosterone Man by Sorak86 2015-04-22T17:51:00

Well, that was a little strange. It was a funny concept, but the platforming and art could use some work. More background textures would help it from feeling so same-ish, and it's annoying when a bat gets under you and lifts you back up the screen.

Bullet Time by BulletsArePeopleToo 2015-04-21T01:49:00

Fun to play. The controls feel a little unresponsive, and there's a noticeable amount of lag later in the game when there are a lot of bleeding bodies on the screen. The animations on the enemies are very well done.

LD33 — You are the Monster

Royal Jelly Roller by BNeutral 2015-08-29T23:02:00

Interesting mechanic, the rolling felt slow and heavy though. It was also a little annoying that the slime didn't coat the entire surface when you rolled over it. Very good job over all!

Being a Kraken by struffy 2015-08-27T19:32:00

I found the easiest way is to run to the bottom and wait. The ships swarm at your last known location, run into each other, and eventually you just have to sink the last one. The lack of a horizon made it very very hard to orientate yourself, especially after a collision. The water graphic seemed strange and made it appear like I was moving in directions that I was not. Over all sense of motion was really hard to establish, and I felt like I was floating around uncontrollable at times (even though it was just a trick of the visuals, I was probably stationary).

Very impressed that something like this wasn't made in unity though! It takes a lot of work to build a game engine and make it function well.

Area 17 by SpringCabal 2015-08-29T21:08:00

Impressive work! An upgrade that leads to the end goal would have been a nice addition, I had to fly around the island several times to find the alien. Obviously more enemies, more upgrades, and a menu of some sort would be good to have too, but there's only so much you can do in 3 days.

Kill All Fairies by TackoramaLtd 2015-08-27T19:20:00

Very well polished with a simple idea that is well executed. The only thing that really bothered me was the ability for a fairy to leave the screen and never come back. My first game I went for center-of-fairy-mass, and ended up with 6 fairies off the screen and 90 seconds left. The clicking to hit felt a little off because I couldn't click in the same place a bunch of times, so I had to fling my mouse all over the screen to be doing something all of the time.

Monstrosity by celsyum2 2015-08-27T19:01:00

The music is well done, but the positioning of the bombs seems strange. A lot of the time it doesn't match up with anything noticeable in the music, and just leaves me clicking randomly. A more accurate 'drop here' marker would be useful as well. The game mechanics don't seem very strongly linked to the theme of being a monster.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

STALKer by Hegemege 2015-12-14T17:54:00

An interesting idea with strong visuals, but it felt a little too slow to hold my interest. Most of the game was spent waiting for a branch to finish growing a short distance, then accidently switching to the wrong branch.

Yarnland by acidave 2015-12-14T19:15:00

Well done, no major bugs that I ran into. Sometimes the buttons don't jump when they are stuck against an obstacle, but it's not crippling.

Perhaps the shop option should be removed from the main menu, and the game should go to the shop automatically when a run is complete. Or, allow access to the shop throughout the run so it's possible to finish with one continuous (perfect) attempt.

Very well done for a 3 hour entry. Demonstrates how a simple concept can be well implemented and fun!

PostFactum: Idle Game by Huginn18 2015-12-14T18:28:00

The game isn't terribly difficult, I never really felt like I was at risk of losing or that there any real reason to bother building up when I started.

Perhaps an option to unpause events after a short time would be a good addition so you can leave the game running in the background for a large chunk of time, then come back and spend all of your scrap at once. Because it pauses I feel like I have to babysit it, but there's nothing active to do.

Careful with that watering can, Trevor! by antglynn 2015-12-14T17:33:00

A well made game. I ran into an issue with the web player (On Internet Explorer) where the game area was larger than the window, so there were slider bars to move to the left and right side of the game screen. That's not major though, and the puzzles were well thought out and enjoyable.

A lot of red herrings in some of the puzzles, which really made you think about the order of operations.
