Loved the simplicity and tension in this game - running after the uninfected was a lot of fun. Was missing some good sound, music, and graphics.

Loved the simplicity and tension in this game - running after the uninfected was a lot of fun. Was missing some good sound, music, and graphics.
Potential game here, shame not much else.
Good idea and good arcadey sounds but the Goomba didn't jump high enough and lacked the ability to dodge fast enough.
It's a strong concept with a very good puzzle element that is let down by lack of audio and slightly unclear goal/reward system. I hope work is continued on this game.
Love the humour. Love the concept. Love the reversed pac man concept. Easy but a lot of fun.
Definitely a weird take on tower defense but it was unbalanced.
Creepy and mean. Mac build works.
I wasn't off my face on drugs or booze so I honestly cannot see the point of this.
I never felt like a monster doing monstrous things and couldn't work out if that was the graphics at fault or concept.
Lots of typing got on my nerves a bit. I liked the humour and wished there was more content to click on.
I was on my own, which was a shame because I thought this game looked good.
The controls are just awful - I floated about too freely and got annoyed at not being able to finish a planet or stay still for long. Which is a shame because an alien sucking planets is a great idea. And the towers do far too much damage/fire to often.
Great game. Frustrating and enjoyable. Animations were terrific, shame about the static graphics (maze).
Teacher is a monster is a good idea. Throwing food and books is a good idea too. Needs more of a challenge and more horrific things for teacher to do. Loved the audio, especially the "Shut up".
Controls was difficult to sust. Could be a fun game without the beepy sounds.
Good concept, clean graphics and controls. Badly needs sound, the turtle rotates too slowly and it's stomp area seems too slow (several humans passed under me and lived - the cheeky bastards!)
Needed more development.
Really needed a tutorial and some easily identifable sprites to sust what was going on. (Did you really do the art in Photoshop? Or are you just saying that? :-))
Couldn't play - it's still under judgement (hint: GameJolt, GitHub, host it anywhere that doesn't impose a delay on exposure)
After the tutorial the game does not appear to work.
It was a bit of a slow game. The EarthQuake and Roar didn't work (was I not doing something?). Why was the monster baby pink?
A whale in the face is the answer! Brilliant.
Unbelieably trippy and chilled. Monster needed more power/stuff to start with.
Simple, brutal, fun. Excellent.
Mac version crashes on 10.10.5.
Great idea, loved the music and it's enjoyable. Needs more levels and I'd remove the white grid lines.
Doesn't run on Mac OS X.
Loved the puzzling and the music and the funky animations. Missing a final graphic for the final thingy - you know what I mean (no spoilers).
Fuck..I'm...A...Duck... If Ludum Dare had a sillyness category this would win. Shameless fun and full marks for going with the dumbness.
Floaty purple monster was good to control and play. Game needs more development and the placement of the camera needs improving.
Great idea and the graphics are are a good start. But....it's incomplete and I agree with what inbetweengames said about the gameplay.
Game felt jerky to play and very, very hard (or I'm bad at it). Good premise.
Weirdly engaging. Spent most of the time fighting and eating parts. I fighted several monsters to death!
I kept getting stuck attempting to go through tight roads or around corners. Graphics and audio were good.
Simple and oddly chilled out game. The monster needs to turn a bit faster and I would make the gameplay area a lot larger. Loved the music.
Good idea but I'm not horrible enough. Too few cases and pupils.
Creepy in that Windows way... Mac version works fine.
Very atmospheric and intense. The disorting portraits are good and the music is great. A tutorial wouldn't go a miss.
No controller, no joystick... alternative keybinds essential.
Quiet weird. Intro was good. Not enough feedback in game.
Lots of fun beaming up cows and I loved the sound effects. I would change the turrets for something like scarecrows with laser beams to keep with the farmyard theme going.
Terrific idea and very simple. Loved the monster. Hated the cooldown on the attack. Horses and soliders very comic.
Sickingly cute and the music made me stand in the pool of nuclear glowing stuff.
Graphics, sound and game really good. Controls bloody annoying and needs to be changed as it makes the game much harder than it needs to be.
Brilliant! Love the fact the monster throws all kinds of sillyness at the good guys. Simply brilliant. More please.
Feels odd because the main character feels like a normal person and the people feel like zombies coming towards me... a mis-understanding of the theme? Also, why would a zombie have a gun? Why would people run towards a zombie at all??
Excellent chilling atmosphere and great story. Needs more explorations and interactions. But otherwise outstanding.
If the game was to deliberately squash the humans I would have enjoyed it better. But still fun.
Was that the Pastafarianism God in this game? Simple, original and fun game with suitably annoying sound. Fast mode has a flaw: staying in one lane will eventually get you over the 999 limit - a little code to encourage the player not to lane squat might help.
I love the animations and burning them especially! Needs sound effects badly. Not clear on the concept - am I a monster or a monster farmer?
Brilliant graphics, animations and sound. I would have liked for more things to squish.
Really need some audio and I thought the controls were inverted.
Love the concept and the command line interface. Making the player learn the interface and how to be god was fun. Not sure if the monster concept was apt for this.
Mac version works ok. The camera takes ages to catch up with the weird monster.
The attack is too slow and the movement controls are too sensitive.
I loved the idea of a monster defense game. Simple and fun. Shame there's no sound.
I love the idea and graphics. Needs better sound and hope this gets developed further.
Great idea but two things let it down: sound effects were needed for soliders, dragon and environment; and the cooldown on the dragon breath...why? It would have been better for it to diminish over time than stop completely, maybe. Game should continue development definitely.
TooMuchPete - the faires are meant to be outside - it's not meant to be that easy! And there is a count up timer (game ends after two minutes) as I thought it would be nice to see how long it took instead of panicking as time ran out. Giggling fairy signals that the sugar plum fairy is on screen!
Culturebosh_games - point well taken about the graphics. It's not a cohesive style which given time I would alter. I would love to keep the photos as backgrounds (real places, photoed by me) but cannot think of a way to blends those with drawn/modelled fairies.
There was a bug when I played it - after the things that chased me vanished they all spawned outside the maze. Good idea though.
I loved the art style and the hicks-ville music. The time between waves needs to be a lot shorter.
I like the mood and the changing back and forth from monster to human.
Weird in a good way, but over a little too quick.
Excellent intro and I was hoping the rest of the game would follow that style. I liked the alien but the mouse control was super super sensitive. Where was the in-game sound?
Kept dying. Music was unrelenting. Felt there was a game in there but missed it.
Loved this game. Loved the art style, the audio, the concept and the game play. If I had one criticism it would be that it needs a way of measuring your progress through the levels and/or a record of how far you got in the game.
The Dungeon Master element of the game made sense and has potential to be really interesting - especially if AI of the escapist if really good. But relying on another player doesn't fit the theme and is hard. Good use of graphics and audio assets though.
Mac link does not link to a zip file.
Not a game for me...didn't like the joke and was bored staring at papers. I never felt monstrous for completing the tax return, if anything it felt conformist and dull.
Love the art style and transition from mono to colour. Strong character and concept. Didn't like the controls and movement so much.
Excellent puzzle game. Terrific sound and brilliant concept. Well done.
I never felt monstrous enough.
The text was very unclear and faded out. Also the game was over too quickly. But the sound and graphics were strangely atmospheric despite their simplicity.
Never liked this game because there was little feedback on whether or not I had scared someone and felt like a lot of the time I was clicking on unresponsive furniture. A shame since the idea was good.
The fart gas weapon was my favourite - but no sound effects. Could do with some definite objectives.
Does not work on Mac.
Mac version seems a bit buggy - jumping from Turn 1 to Turn 12 or 16 sometimes. I like the turn based idea but it seems tricky to find the right strategy. Good sound though.
Played at fullscreen this is a strangely pleasant game with fantastic sound and subtle controls. Love the concept but not sure how well suited it is to the theme, at least on first impressions.
The game felt brutal in terms of theme and that was refreshing. (Mac version works ok).
Simple and effective but the spacebar as control was slow and frustrating. Good sound effects.
Mac version worked fine. Loved this game - you must continue development and add levels and better audio. I especially loved the subtle colour changing elements. My two sour points are the characters controls are a touch over-sensitive and relevance the theme.
Mac download - compress into a zip first please THEN upload to dropbox. Thanks.
Please compress builds into a zip file THEN upload. Thank you.
I liked the combatative element and the characters. But it seemed incomplete - I was firing grey squares and the arena felt spartan.
I thought it was too dark and the footsteps got annoying after a while. I loved the roar sound and controls. (It played well on a Mac)
Was the Attack meant to do anything? Good idea but not fully developed. Good music too.
I too loved the number count at the end - for a laugh I played mister really nice guy and got a score of -1820.
The problem I had with the game was there no way to assess the outcome of my choices - each judgement felt arbritary and had no impact on the next decision.
Sprite quality is poor in web version. But I think the bigger problem is colour - if everything was monochromatic with touches of colour/blood here and there it would suit the music and concept better.
This is very stupid and I love it.
Loved the graphics, animations, sound and concept. Would have liked more of a threat to the monster and some feedback as to what the score is or number of kids frightened.
Please compile for other platforms. Pretty please.
