Fireman Pissaro by AnimeGeek32 2015-04-23T08:03:00
nice idea, good use of the theme. i like the start screen but for me, it lacks execution. it's not very playable and fire can spawn on you so that could be worked on but other than that, neat game!

nice idea, good use of the theme. i like the start screen but for me, it lacks execution. it's not very playable and fire can spawn on you so that could be worked on but other than that, neat game!
graphics are very good and music too. but you need to make it faster to walk and jump and also the lesser words the better but i liked it anyway
nice song but this is not a game so stop putting it into a GAME jam
i don't like the idea of everyone becoming a smoker and it's not well executed
This game is fenomenal!!! superb graphics, fun gameplay, fenomenal music. one side note, it's a bit hectic and a lot of times, you'll find youself not knowing what are you doing and just mashing space. meybe put a camera a bit more to the back ;). other than that, fantastic work
it's a bit confusing, but neat and original. good job
it's not very playable cause when you fire, it doesn't go where the line is. and you have too low ammo to figure out how to fire it. also, it's unconventionally placed weapon and not unconventional weapon. but at least, you have OK AI unlike my game
after i start a new game, it runs for a second or two and then it turns itself off :/
maybe i am stupid but i could not do what the game wanted me to do. I don't have that kind of reflexes . i would have to be in slow-mo at all times to at least try to get somewhere. also, the jump is too high. everything else like the graphics, audio, innovation and mood is spot on and fenomenal. i just can't play and enjoy it.
I guess, I will reply to you here then :D
Thanks for the rating and comment. I thought, that the only joke there was in the text and that some people might not get it or it's not that good of a joke. plus, I didn't intend the game to be humorous. it should just be entertaining. so, I removed the humour category. Judging by videos that people made, they didn't find it humorous, so I am happy with my decision.
To your game. I had a second more thorough playtrough and i realised, that you can destroy the turrets, which made it easier. But, when i got to the machine gun with the shield, i just could not get past him. I tried like 20 times. I did realize all of the things, you told me in the first playtrough i just have very bad reflexes and hand-eye coordination. So, even in constant slo-mo, i could not grab the bullets and change their direction fast enough. Maybe, you can add a option for retards like me that you could change the bullets direction immediately after you've grabbed it and maybe give a cooldown to the slo-mo time.
But otherwise, excellent job. I wish i could be as quick as you and do this kind of detail within 72 hours.
Not my 1-minute gameplay game :D
PoV should really add a reply button on comments here.
Thanks for the tip but i could not even get this right https://youtu.be/O_A0X3DitJk?t=34 I worked that out but i was just too slow to do it like this. i tried to find different routes but i couln't find any.
Yaay! Finally got trough it! Thanks for your advice and help. looking forward to seeing this fully developed :) It's an amazing game! I am just stupid :D
nice longer game. the graphics were a bit confusing and i didn't like the tile-movement. but overall pretty neat with great mood
pretty neat. i am not sure if you've copied from very popular game but still pretty neat
the controls are a bit weird and there would have to be a lot of polish done. but pretty neat game.
very nice game! not sure if it fits the theme but whatever. you made a game! good job on that
HAHAHA! I liked it a lot :) fun game. i liked the graphical effects and the fact that there's a muchacho with a peanut :D maybe adjust controls to the future (with arrow keys, spacebar is jump with a,d, w is jump) and the last level was a tad frustrating but fun anyway :) and in a pretty short time. good work!
pretty fun to play with mechs. not sure if it's so unconventiona though. but yeah, nice one :)
nice and neat. with a bit more polish on the controls, it could be quite good. good job
verry good and verry fun indeed. it wasn't that unconventional but the game was good, challenging and funny. looking forward to after-jam versions. maybe remove the audio from voting since there is none
neat idea. you kina throw the weapon too high which makes you look more to the ground and not watch the enemies AND the weapon itself is not unconventional you just use it differently, but over all, neat game. you made a first person thrower
it was very frustrating for a clumsy person like me but well done! (i did not manage to survive the minute in like 30 tries)
neat game. i don't like five nights at freddies neither this, but nice execution. it's a little too hard to figure out in time which is the one and you don't have much motivation to do so.
I am sorry but honestly, it was shit... i mean it's great that you have entered, but it is advised to explain to the player what they have to do and how. i had no idea so i was just trying to dodge the bullets (which is inpossible) but the more times i died, the more enemies were there. so, it punishes the player for your foult not explaining the game at all. i am sorry. you obviously can programm there's just lack of explanation and a tiny bit execution. take this as an expierience for other games.
i like the idea. but there was no gameplay at all. you've could have done better with the idea
kinda hard to control and not very much to do but yeah you've made a game. tell me what do you think of mine http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-32/?action=preview&uid=49267
nice graphics! shame that it wasn't made by you. the game itself is not that original but it's an original take on theese types of games. it was pretty neat ;)
i can see the idea. it just lacks execution with those animations. idea is good it just could have been a better game. you could go for 2D and not worry about 3D and make better game
@MentalBlockGaming
thanks!
yeah, obviously, english is not language that i was born with so there are a few mistakes, but you'll get the point.
it was panning up and down everywhere on purpose cause i thought, it adds a sort of actiony feel so i locked it on the Juice Carton instead of a player
yeah the UI is shit cause i was just doing it fast at 2 am in the morning just an hour before deadline. but if people would think, that the game is good, i will upgrade it.
@leondryaso yeah. Unity and it's webGL is very buggy and it's up to chance when it does work. it worked once but you couldn't move without it being on fullscreen. so just stick to the downloads
@Jwatt First of all, only i was actually making and coding the game. I had a sound guy who did the sounds (go check him out) and a friend who tested it and helped me with some math and physics problems. but the game itself was just me.
I actually wanted and planned to add orange grenades, better AI, some obstacles and mini-bosses along the way, but i just did not have time for that.I finished it 10 minutes before the end and those 10 minutes were for testing and packaging.
I worked fully for the first two days (with some sleep of course). but on the third day, i got really sick cause i ate something bad and i could not think or write code.
I'm kinda happy that i managed to do it to this stage and people seem to like it a lot.
But yeah, i am going to continue work on that. There will be new mechanics, polished platforming and other things , bunch of new levels and much improved AI and UI.
So, if you liked the idea and see potential and want all that polish, follow the game on gamejolt to get notified of updates http://gamejolt.com/games/adventure/dare-to-juice/62107/
And, thanks for feedback
@omiya games there were a little areal controls just so it's not frustrating to move around but also keeps a closer resemblence to reality. cause in real, you can't move whilst in the air. i might amp the movement a little. well, you always can get rid of them. just spray juice at them ;) i don't know how exactly to fix that...
yeah, the shortness helped it while it's not polished but i'm gonna polish it and makeit into a full proper game :)
@Druid Thanks! I did not expect anything to be the most of from this game. But why do you think it's not original? I've literary came up with this trough the combination of the first thing i saw at my desk in the morning (Orange Juice) and my love for biology. I personally haven't seen simmilar game.
@Zeriver Thanks! I am working on much expansion right now even though I probably won't be in the first 100 games. You can follow the game on Gamejolt to see updates ;) http://gamejolt.com/games/adventure/dare-to-juice/62107/
@Gunzil Yeah that bug happens in like 1/50 games and I have no idea why. Try restarting it but you've pretty much seen the whole game except end screen :D
Yes there are few bugs like that. You can even fully fly when you hold the juice up and spray it really slowly so it touches you at all times and mush 'w' :D I am working on fixing it right now and adding A LOT more to it. So, if you liked it, you can follow it on Gamejolt to get updates http://gamejolt.com/games/adventure/dare-to-juice/62107/
But yeah, Thanks for the feedback :)
nice game. I am dislexic, so it was a bit hard to read for me maybe add a voice aswell next time. but i liked the idea :)
it fealt a bit too much like cookie clicker but the idea is good and the execution too. it just lacks substance i think
really nice game. very impressive what you did in just 72 hours. it's very calming. and has a lot of potential to expand and make it more fun. but overall, fantastic
an hacking game that was actually good. well done
Really good and solid music but the game itself really lacks in good gameplay/idea by that i mean it's not that fun to move around with the cart and trying to destroy the enemies. but it was not bad. i guess it's just because i like more gameplay than a story in a GAME.
Super praca. keep it up! :D
nice idea, fair execution, good game. rate more games and gain coolness there are lot of worse games out there with higher ratings.
nice game! i liked the idea. it was a bit hard to move around (i personally would like "w" for jump) but nice and neat
this game is fenomenal for some reason. i was not sure what exactly to do or how exactly to do it but this must have taken a lot of programming. and it's fun. great job
nice placement congrats! you've commented on my game so i am just letting you to know that i am working on adding to the game right now. follow it on gamejolt to get updates http://gamejolt.com/games/adventure/dare-to-juice/62107/
i like the idea. it should not be called simulator though. nice game. maybe make the randomized terrain completable every time and let the player know, on what basis does their suspicion grow and it could be a OK game
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING!!! STOP THESE STUPID SIMULATOR OF EVERYTHING GAMES. THEY ARE SHIT NAD WILL BE SHIT FOREVER. GROW UP AND MAKE NICE GAMES
@omiya games. exactly like that. i have already rated it. that was fenomenal. but this is just shit. sorry. i have no idea how have you managed to make two games in one short time frame one shit one fenomenal.
ok, sorry. I was a bit fast to judge. And i may have seem to have been a bit volent. but you yourself know this isn't a game. sure if you are bored do whatever you want but don't give it to the one of the biggest game jams in the world or don't try to sell it. that's just bad. i will now leave you with a video https://youtu.be/IqTgLDP3VsY
intresting idea. nice game. well done
Another one of theese Artsy games. I don't get them really but well made i guess.
nice entry. but needs polish and explanation
WOW! really amazing! really fun and well made! pretty unique mechanics. well done!
really solid entry. entry. loads of variety, fun to play, well made mechanics and graphics. Fantastic Job!
This is really simmilar to this entry http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-33/?action=preview&uid=55673 but done much better and more fun. Goood Job!
nice game. nice graphics. but the controls are a little finicky
I LOVE the idea!. I myself has made a biological game for the previous ludum dare :D you can check it out here.
http://gamejolt.com/games/dare-to-juice/62107
anyway, the game itself needs a lot of polish but the idea is great. also, viruses aren't that fragile and attack in groups of many so it would make sense to have lives. most certainly continue to develop this ;)
Interesting game. Surprisingly long for a Ludum Dare game. but good job nevertheless.
A for effort i guess... I hope you learned programming
verry good game. Love the sense of humor and it was a lot of fun to play! Good Job!
Nice one! it brought me back to times, when I was doing this in Free Pascal :D
love the music! nice controls too.
it's not very good to make a online-only game for Ludum Dare since there's nobody on it. well made nevertheless
nice little fun game. i loved the graphics. and it was a good experience overall
really solid and nice entry. enjoyed every second of it
pretty good. a bit unnescesary long, but enjoyable. good job
you've got some real musical talent. the game itself is really hard and unfair but the other stuff was really good. nice job. and thanks for your comment on my game. good job :)
a bit tough to controll but nice graphics i guess...
@mathieu muller it has to be hard. otherwise it would be boring from the start. you get over them by gaining speed and then jumping over them.
verry good indeed. Art-style is brilliant unlike my crappy game :D really fun! good job!
i really liked it. mainly the graphics. you should made normal qwerty movement default since most of the world has that configuration. but nice one!
this is not a game. but good try i guess
wow! did not expect 18+ warnings and stuff :D a fun game
it seems like you're brute-forcing the movement and not letting the physics do the job. therefore it's quite annoying to control. But, you've made a game. a quite good game.
well, it's a short kinda cute game. and that's all I can say about it
fun little game. and well executed!
pretty nice first entry. good job :)
worst controls ever! but you've made a game and that counts
funny game but really hard to control to the point, that it becomes annoying. otherwise, quite well made game.
it's really hard and unfair. you have to let the player know in advance where's the right way. and also not start immediatly and never let the game follow other character than yours. that's bad game desing. but, you've made a game and that counts too.
supprisingly fun. nice one. the controls could use a bit more polish
really fun and unique game! well done
I love the Idea. some instructions would be useful and the controls are a bit weird, but pretty solid good game!
really nice and fun entry. good job!
nice idea. but i completed the game in like 10 seconds by holding the right and up arrow... otherwise pretty good game
nice one! i've never had a tamagotchi before :D
Really hard but fun and I'm really impressed what you've accomplished during this Gamejam. really well put together.
in response to your comment, thank you so much for your kind comment. to address the problems, you mentioned, you can sort of control where the wine will go because during it moving it follows the centre of a tie but during spilling it stays perfectly still and the challenge is to navigate the wine so that you won't get spilled. also, the bow ties were not bonuses. they are the main part of the game and a way to progress throughout the game. without them, it would be even more boring than it is now. because the challenge is to slice them as well as avoid the wine. story wise, you slice them because they are competition to tie.
so, that's that. but thanks! and you've made good game but smetimes, there's no win condition and it's too hard. you should implement a learning curve and tell the player exactly how does he destroy the things. because sometimes it's like 3 hits, sometimes it's 10 and it lacks consistency.
awesome game!!!
I have an fobia from bees but this game was cool. a bit hard to control, but cool. thanks :)
really great game. a bit hard to get hold of the controls, but superb and minimalistic
i'm impressed thet you've managed to form a working 3D car in the nick of time. i've spent two weeks on in and it's not really good.
really awesome graphics for a lipGDX game but the car should not turn around it's middle. it should turn aroun't it's back wheels. anyway, nice game :)
I don't have a HTC but, it looks amazing based on the video well done
really well executed and a very good idea for a game. nice job
nice bit of relaxing game. shame that you didn't put more hours into it
really nice entry. superb story. great expierience. thank you for this. i needed this
really good one this.
AMAIZING!!!
oo noice idea. i had a simmilar one :D also, i really fancy the graph at the end :)
great game. but you've made me soo angry :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpTbnYozQk4
really cool. altough, i hve seen this many times. but hreat humor on the blind optimism level :D i did exactly what was intended :D
awesome game! i wonder how is it possible to make something like this in 72 hours. amazing work. polish up the controls and release this as a full game
waay too random spawns of the enemies. you can't master it
i really liked the idea buut the execution lacks crutial points
very frustrating for me, but nicely done. maybe start at a slower pace and always do colors that are clearly visible. nice job otherwise
really well made.
nice one. a little hard to get what's going on, but nice one
really like the idea of a snake not being confined to 4 directions and your lovely take and execution on it. really nice
this would be a good game bbut it was really poorly executed. even the post jam version. try to use physics to move around. and also, there's no need for player to move around in this kind of game. instead of trail renderer use particle system and play with it a bit more
i like biology games very much! check out my first ludum dare game http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-32/?action=preview&uid=49267
i liked tha kindow star treky theme but the gameplay lacks a lot of things. try polishing it a bit
it was really difficult for me to control and figure out what to do, but i think i got it in the end. anyway, the execution was good
very nice graphics. not sure about the gameplay
really poorly made controls. you could abandon the theme rather than make something that doesn't work. that being said, really good presentation and design.
well that was sometning...
very nice graphics. not sure about the gameplay
sorry about the last comment. i was on a different game. this game is really good. proper strategy. polish it up a little, add more features and it could be a good, well selling game
it was really confusing to me but the execution is great. guess i just don't have the brain for it
awesome game. loved the clay and the cheeky humor (or was it not humor? )
nice expierience, but, i think, that with unity, three devs and one graphics man, you could've polished it a little better. anyway, i liked the rewards for my cionige.
really difficult to controll. therefore not fun at all. really 6 people worked on this??? i know i fucked up. but 6 people at the same time? i'm sorry
the controls were a bit ify but niciely done otherwise
Interesting and Original Idea. but the controls could be better.also, it could use a little pause before the start of the level. to figure out what to do. but it's still a good game and has a potencial of becaming full-featured
I liked this game! very well made
I LOVE this game! The menu- perfect. destruction, roomba everything! I've also made a roomba game, but it's worse than this :D this is so good!
Yaay another Roomba game! good job!
was the menu for another game? anyway, the controls could do a little more work and the FOV is way too low. but overall, pretty nice idea.
fun shooting mechanics. good game
Nice one. I like puzzle games. but sometimes, I have no idea where I am unless i move
Also, I've made a roomba game as well
nicely drawn. but starting with the exact ammo, that you need, leaving you with no place for mistakes, is a bad idea. also, it could use some sort of visual indication that you've lost a life. otherwise, nice and fun game
interesting idea, but terribly executed
Nice one. I like puzzles
nice one! love lights. but I wish I could move more quickly
My... hands... dying
really nicely done. I just wish I knew what I was doing
nice game, just a little too hard
really solid entry. it must have took you ages to model all of that shit. good job!
I felt like I took LSD (I mean, i assume that's how it feels like) I didn't know what the hell was going on, circles with faces, some black circles, then triangles, than some numbers... it was weirdly fun! but the controls should be on holding a button not pressing it repeatedly
it's gorgeus and an actual compelling puzzle game. i could not for the life of me pass the last level :D
I Like it!
Really good idea!
ALL FIVE STARS from me! beautiful. I was horrible at it but it was still fun!
WOW! AMAZING!
I was properly scared
nice one here. the title reminded me of little and big: grandpa's leftovers
nice one. but could use a bit of something...
nice one! I too have made a roomba game
WOW! this is exceptionally good game. how did you oprimise it for web to run at 60 fps? mine rund at 15 no matter what I do...
@LoadedGames Thanks! All I was aiming for, was fun!
If you've played the web version, the lights don't work properly and it's laggy as hell, and the graphics may seem out of place. but when it's properly lit, they add up together quite nicely despite the many art styles that are present. also, I had to use mixed 2D and 3D elements, because I'm not verry good in 3D, but in 2D, you wouldn't know, that that is a stool and where are it's legs. but i am working on a post-jam version tat will have one style
@Heroes Thanks!
Yeah I didn't have the time to add any sound, or half of the things, that I wanted. and there is an end, it's just so anticlimactic :D you must get all the mice out and then clean the footsteps, so there are less than 20 present (because some of them are impossible to get to).
@Dvorgaz On non 16:9 resolutions it's displayed below the table height. But it's not verry important, so it doesn't matter too much :D
@Michalidis that's super weird. did you see the mice and nothing that they were leaving behind them? could you tell me, what graphics option did you choose at what resolution?
thanks, but the armchair, table, chairs and table with drawers are just Unity free assets ( i spent 4 hours making the stool. didn't have time to make more. i'm not good with 3D) but the roomba, mice, mouse, floor and walls are mine. but thanks!
updated version will come next week probably. i have a lots of other work, and the stuff I want to do on the game is also a lot of work. but it is coming!
really good. but I couldn't get out of the "eating just to eat more" cycle
Nice game. but it could use a bit more pizzaz (as in umph)
Really interesting take on the theme! good job
A bit hard to understand at first, but then, it's super easy. nice idea and execution though
nice game.really well animated and polished
with a bit of polishing, this could be good
nice game.
Laggy McLaggyson : the game
no, but really good idea nicely made, but every UE4 game has motion blur on. it's horrible and lags to shit.
nicely done. although, it didn't make sense to sleep that often. and, in 34 days, he did nothing?
really good game! I love Cats. My game also has mice but in a different way :D
it's good, but it needs work on what to give next. sometimes, I can't fit the next piece anywhere
I like theese games! good job
wow! for a 15 YO that's pretty impressive. good job. maybe polish it up a little, make it less hard, and it will be a very good game
nice little puzzle
verry good entry. I loved your spin on the theme
Really good and solid entry. Well played on the theme. and the music fits perfectly
wow! really original idea! and you've made it in webGL congrats!
I reeally liked it! it was intense, and reeally fun to play! one thing, that I didn't understand, was that I seem to have shot everything but then I died. other than that, Brilliant!
Nice little game, with really good concept, but it was too hard to control and figure out what to do. otherwise, great entry!
Here I am thinking that it's a puzzle game, but it's actually skill based, which I don't appreciate as much. It was still fun but would be better if I shouldn't time my moves to the spikes (that could be for extra points if someone were to do that). really solid LD entry though. good job!
Pretty good game. the controlling of the ants was kindof weird, but it was OK. my final score was 47 ants. it became impossible after that to keep them fed. but overall good solid entry
The graphics on this one looked stunning. but the gameplay lacked a bit of something. And I couldn't get them to meet at the same time although, they were really close.
Other than that, you did a great job. keep it up. It reminded me of mini metro, which is a really good game
@king-kujito Thanks! well, they do, but they also behave like a normal particle. I've chosen to exclude their waveformness because it's a bit easier to program and a bit easier to play with. I'm aware of many other physics laws that I've chose not to implement because of the shear complexness of them and they would make the gameplay a bit harder :)
THANK YOU ALL FOR FEEDBACK! @togis @sebasrez @volkoivan @quetzakol @rustybroomhandle @adamd
I had a lot of struggle to balance this game, and sadly I failed. If I give the player more control over his movement, it becomes too easy and unrealistic as in real life , photons have no way of moving themselves. Also, it should prevent you from going too far in the wrong direction.
I thought, that there were enough visual clues when I added a trail and the photon actually spins in the direction that you are controlling it (although, I admit, it's impossible to see when the camera is far away from the photon)
The distance to the eye as you've all mentioned is indeed a good thing to have. I don't know how did I miss that. Perhaps I'll add that soon.
But again, thank you all for great feedback( you'll probably never read this anyway :D )
@alobker Yeah you're right. that hasn't been mentioned and it would be an improvement. however, it's not possible with the way I do things. but thanks anyway!
@tommyno222 Thanks! that's the spirit! try and experiment with the game! The only reason I did it is to dick around with gravity
@simple-blue Thanks, but I did not work on the audio it's *Up Above* from [Youtube library](https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music)
@rixud WOW, you like it that much??? you must've played some shitty games then  it's really not that good, but thanks anyway! I am going to make an update on the game using everyone's feedback, so thanks!
@stanov Thanks for the review and the stream! sorry that I couldn't make it. But I did see the video, and I can definitely say, that the controls were working as they should in the 64 bit fullscreen version. you just got unlucky and always hit an electron  anyway, as I've said many times, the controls are deliberately not as responsive. because first, it would be too easy if you had full control, and also, you are traveling at the speed of light, and rapid change of direction isn't really a thing at that speed. Also, when you were caught in the electrons gravity, you were doing the opposite of what you should do. you should increase the speed with the photon's movement and not try to go against it. If you go with it, after a few rotations, you'll get out of it by yourself. that's just how gravity works (the electrons have the Newton's gravity equation on them to do gravity) Maybe I should put a wikipedia article on gravity for everyone to read before playing the game
@blaster391 THANKS!!! Although, I had the graphics done in like the first 5 hours. they are really simple to do in unity. just a few stock effect applied to the camera and that's it  but I am glad that you appreciate it
@lorenzos Thanks! As I've said they are just stock unity shaders. nothing special  anyway, yes, they are random but just between 5 pictures that are in the game. there's no Instagram API to pull them, but they are all from my instagram, so if you take a look there, you'll find them all and a lot more  thanks for the review!
@blaster391 [Here's](https://github.com/Unity-Technologies/PostProcessing/wiki) pretty much everything, you need to know. Until 5.6 there were image effects, but they weren't this good. Now, they call it postprocessing, and you can create really nice things. I've used In my game glow, Depth Of Field, anti-aliasing and Chromatic aberration
@blaster391 :musical_note: *What can I sayyyy except, you're welcome, you're welcome* :musical_note: I am so sorry but I couldn't help it  I am sure, you'll make great graphics
(if you didn't get that, i was a refference to Moana. If you haven't seen Moana the **GO WATCH MOANA** )
@richard-michael-smith no, you're not being stupid. I've watched the video and yes, you were in control. it's just hard to notice but enough to try and weave up and down between atoms. I've explained why I made it that way in previous comments (I think) but the best explanation is [here](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-balls/its-my-fifth-ld-but-my-first-post-mortem-smiley-plus-need-for-help)
I am trying to make a post-jam version but it's really hard to balance the controls. also, when you get caught by an atoms gravity, don't try to fight it, but instead go with it and it'll make you go faster. because you can't really fight the gravity and I think, that's why many people experience difficulties. because fighting the gravity only slows you down.
But thanks for the feedback. I will definitely make a post-jam (or better post-rate) version. so if you want, keep an eye on this in (hopefully) near future
Nice graphics, the gameplay was a bit too hard for me, but a bit of polishing could do the trick. keep up the good work! I'm sure, you'll be making something awesome one day
Good concept, but really chaotic gameplay. especially after that relaxing intro music :D
One of the better games, that I've played here on LD 38 the puzzles were well balanced.
but the camera movement and some sprites were a bit jaggeredy other than that, nice game
Really intense game with great graphics. but is there an end goal, or is it just shooty bang bang for no reason? because I would like to have a goal and health regeneration. other than that, really great entry and I am perticularry impressed by the graphics that you've managed to get done in this short amount of time
Thanks on commenting on my game!
Sorry for not reading but it's too long and not structured and I have dyslexia and to read the description of all games kindof hurts me in a weird way. And I like to just go into games no knowing anything and figuring everything by myself. It's more fun that way and you get to test the intuitivness of the game's control system
Anyway, I thought the blue dust might do something, but I could never get to it because there were enemies surrounding me.
P.S. I don't mean to be ungrateful or rude, but did you rate my game? I saw your comment but no increase in ratings. maybe it's a bug. sorry.
I reeally like this game, the graphics, the audio, the concept. but I felt like the puzzles were too simple. once I found out, that I could just reveal the whole map and hold the C key forever. maybe ditch the rveal button and instead give clues for the player when hee appears stuck. other than that, it's a great game! I wish you would call it space bunnies :D
Oh yeah! full on Diablo II over here
Really impressed, how much you've managed to get done. it's a little rough around the edges, but still, it's pretty good. Great job!
Well, this was the weirdest pixel art i've ever encountered. I think, it would look better without the pixeling filter.
But, the game was quite fun and I really enjoyed the mechanics. also, a good idea
pretty good game. although, it was possible to move one leg so the other one could not be moved. but other than that, really fun game to play with original mechanics and idea. nicely done!
nice one there! It felt a bit easy but just a bit of polishing could do the trick. otherwise, it's a nice and solid LD entry. keep up the good work!
The camera moves waaaaaaaay too fast for me to process anything. I noticed only, that there were multiples of me, and bullets were flying everywhere, but I suppose, It's nice
at first, I had no idea that I was the black square an I thoutht, that I am the whole island. anyway, the game looked nice, but it could use better controls :)
overall, really good game. you could've add the difficulty more gradually, but that's the only thing i have about this game.
oh and one other thing... I HATE LLAMAS 0/10 IGN (joking of course)
I feel like this game is too ambitious for LD, It looks like you gave this game a lot of effort, but just didn't have enough time to polish it up. and what this game needs really badly is a lot of polishing. still, nice graphics and the effort is shown
A good concept, but it could've been developed further and also, there is a desperate need of more reaction time. perhaps move the character more downwards, add more things, some things to collect, some more things to avoid, and polish it up a little. It shows potential, but in the current state, it's not that good.
really nice graphics and a simple, but effective mechanic. But is it even possible to kill the big guy?
Good concept and great intro humor! the physics could use a bit of work, but otherwise, good game
I love the simplistic style of the game and I love playing with physics in games! so this is really good game!
Nice little game! I liked the physics, but I think, it would be best if the shuttle rotated towards the center when not rotated by the player. otherwise, it's pretty good
Really intense game with stunning graphics. I normally hate motion blur in games, but here, it was superb. maybe because of the pixelation. also, how did you manage to blur the UI? because they aren't moving. or are they? anyway, I always get eaten by the last one, but it's really fun and especially for a compo, bravo!
@josefalanga Thanks! I did use the postprocess stuff myself, but for some reason, it didn't apply to the UI even though, It's on the same camera, but I'll take a look at that. but also, I think that stationary object shouldn't be motion blured. If the UI is stationary, and it is being motion blured, it is a bug in my opinion. although, it's a bug with nice end result
The graphics are good and the concept is as well, but I died three times for no apparent reason. polish it up a bit and maybe revamp the controlls and it could be a really good game.
the controls were a bit fiddly, but overall, I'm impressed what you've managed to do. it could use a bit of polish and better control system and a better explanation, but other than that, good game
great and simplistic graphics, but gameplay purely based on random luck is a really bad idea. there should be something else that would allow you to somehow control the vines. but the idea is good and I am sure, you've spent a lot of time developing the algorithm. so good job on that
I had no idea about rude bear, but I liked this game. good humor. I must check out what's rude bear all about
really good idea and a cute little game :)
for some reason, it's rally fun to play, and a kindof unique twist on the old hack'n slash. But, the not so pixely pixel art wasn't good. When you mix pixel art with non-pixel art elements like physics, it's kindof odd (at least to me) otherwise, really great and fun game!
fun little game to mess around with
quite difficult puzzle game but a very interesting one. I really liked it though. but man! you should vote more games in!
Noice little game. Although, I would prefer more realistic physics  (as shown in my game, they are maybe too realistic  )
Wow! I am really impressed! It was really good. especially the graphics. but it was kindof freaky and eary, which, I suppose, was an inension. one small thing tough. there was a light but no apparent light source. give it a lamp
I feel like I am missing something. because I could not find a game in that thing. sure it was nice, but there was no gameplay. It wasn't even a walking simulator. I tried to explore everything only to find nothing. I must've missed something...
Some great graphics here. but the gameplay needs a loot of work. What I assume were supposed to be teleports didn't even work (I played only the web version) and also, in some levels, I could finish a level without a key. I just went straight past the berrier. but the concept is promising, and the nice graphics are really good.
BTW are you from slovakia? because our name kindof suggests that. I am from slovakia too
I am sorry, but honestly, this is not a game. there's no gameplay. It can be a nice video that you can put on youtube, but not a game
This reminded me of Hotline Miami. but there are lot of bugs. but I can see that you have made some progress. feel free to link the updated build as well as the original one, so we can play it!
It's super impressive, that you've managed to do this in the short amount of time, but I think, it's too ambitious and it hurts the actual game. maybe next time, make something smaller and polish it up really well.
yeah... I'm impressed, that you've managed to set up some sort of multiplayer, but they sadly don't work well in LD 'cause there's no one else to play with. but there are sort of nice graphics, and the game plays well I suppose :slight smile:
Well I've had a play, and it's a bit rough around the edges. it could use a good way of explaining how the game works, because I had no idea, when rabbit eats a slime, he multiplies.
Also, it felt more like natural selection simulation than a game. maybe if the player had one species that he had to protect from others to achieve a certain goal, it would be better...
But overall, you did a decent job :)
This is a really unique idea with good execution. Although, I had trouble controlling the planet to the desired location because i did see only one half of it. maybe make it so all event happen in front of the camera?
But yeah, overall, good idea, really nice game and chill gameplay. I liked it!
the main menu of this game looks nice, but the rest of it, not so much. the concept is good, but the execution lacks a lot of details. lot of polish needed and perhaps rethink the approach. but @james-dunlap gets extra points for Klingon warbird in his profile picture
Overall pretty nice relaxing and a bit weird game. the ghosts or whatever were too distracting for my liking, but other than that, good work
Nice little sort of puzzle game (although, I don't think, it's possible to lose) but it was fun to play, and I liked the end dialogue. Anyway, good work!
The controls man! I am so sorry, but I've never seen worst controls. There is just no way I could bare picking up the whole spaceship. And people tell me, that I have bad controls on my game. The graphics and the idea is nice, but you've got to change the control system. I am so sorry
Really good entry. perhaps the position of the targets could've been somehow indicated, and the hitboxes could've been done better, but i adore that you;ve hand drawn it and it;s not shit  really good job!
Nice game. Although, I didn't care about the story and I did not exactly understand how were the adults getting suspicious sometimes, but overall, pretty nice
Well, This game is a good idea in head, but it kindof missed the mark for me. the camera was a bit off( but i doubt, that it is possible to improve that) and there should be a smooth movement.
That being said, I am really surprised, at how much you've managged to get done, and it is far better than mine :D to good job on that :)
Really good game. at first, I did not read correctly the instructions, but once I've read them, I easily won the match.
The game was really well made and really polished. Although, I would somewhat tweak the UI or the color of the food, because it was not obvious that you have to eat it. It looked like a dirt at first.
But aside from that, really well made :)
BEST LD38 GAME SO FAR!!! really nailed it! the animation, simplistic graphics, audio, story, gameplay, everything is great! except one minor detail, I see no reason for food or toilet I have no food indicator. you probably ran out of time I'm guessing. but still, this is THE BEST GODDAMN GAME SO FAR!!!
The cube looked nice, but other graphics were just basic things. more importantly, the gameplay lacked polish. and picking up with f key is unheard of. but, I imagine, it took a lot of work, and since it is a compo, It was oveall good. maybe next time, do a jam and polish it up
what a weird control system. I play games only with keyboard and I don't use the controller much, so it may be good for controller but not for keyboard. the graphics are fun and the idea too, so good job overall
You wanted a roast? well, here it is. :stuck_out_tongue:
Even after reading the itch description (which should be here or better in the game) I had no idea what am I supposed to do. the mouse wasn't registering most of the time, and I have absolutely no clue why is more percentage worse than no percentage. I saw no logic in the game logic  maybe there is some, but it's not obvious (to me at least )
Also, there could've been more visual clues as to what to do, maybe some animations...
Anyway, the game looked OK and maybe, if it was explained better, it would've been better...
P.S. you wanted a roast and I like roasts. you can roast back if you want (there's a plenty of material for you to roast)
@anudin yes, I was playing with the touchpad, but that shouldn't be a problem, since it gives basically the same numbers to the game as does normal mouse. also, I've tried it now with a normal mouse, and it is still kindof unresponsive. I think, you have programmed there some restrictions as to when you can click. but I might be wrong
a fine game. I wish, that there was an end goal and I could move a bit faster. other than that, I liked the humor. good job
I am sorry man. even after I've read the description on newgrounds (which should've been here) Ididn't get the concept of the game. I was collecting some bits that magically fell onto the thing and planting some flowers but then some random numbers were there and it was all just a mess. I am sorry. perhaps explain it a bit better
Good grief man! I think, you've taken too much of a bite there. the turning in the space mode is too rough and in the race mode too little. also, why would gravity work like that in a planet's rings?
I can see, that there went a lot of work in this game, but you could've give just one planet with it's ring and really polish it up...
As promised, I've played your game. It's a nice accomplishment, but I think it's too ambitious for LD and there's not much in it. next time, try focusing on one thing and polish it to absolute perfection. that way it works for LD and it will be a better game overall. But even this is a really good accomplishment for a 13 year old  when I was 13, I didn't even know what programming is
P.S. try and revamp the control system. google or copy control systems from other games
you will most certainly win the humor category
I've left there a bit of surprise
This game looks really gorgeous, and plays as intended. it's not as nervewrecking as other clicker games, and that's good for it. maybe turn it into something else than a clicker game in the future, but otherwise, I like it, especially the graphics
I don't have a VR headset, so I can't play your game, but my game is also called Space Balls :D https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-balls
Neat game with nice graphics. could do a bit of polishing, but still very well made
Fun and original idea for a game. although, the photos could've been shot in better quality . Also, I believe, that the character should turn towards the mouse.
Other than that, great game an implementation
really well made, but it felt too hard to do anything. also, it could use some in game tutorialising and longer firs day.
but the graphics were spot on, and I am really surprised how much you've managed to get done
I think, I would appreciate this game more without the janky pixel art. at times, I don't even know where my feet are. also, the difficulty feels artificial and unfair at times. but I really like the concept so good job on that!
P.S. RATE MORE GAMES! some people are really struggling to get enough votes
Nice and cute little game! I thought from the screenshots, tat it would play differently, but the way you play it surprised me for the good. it was really interesting and unique. one thing, the controls were a bit fiddly. sometimes it didn't register two keypresses at once and the jump could use some physics. other than that, great entry! really liked it!
Pretty nice game overall. could use a bit of polishing, and the creature is weird as shit
But yeah, good job!
(I am sorry in advance) Me Me Biiig disapointment  from the title screens, it looked really good, but then it went topdown, and it looked bad and played really weird. why would you have the player not turn to the mouse all the time? and aiming while dodging is pretty much impossible. although, congrats on making it to the level as it is. but it needs a lot of polish
I've played and rated your game as requested. It's a good concept but needs a lot of work. I haven't been able to figure out, why sometimes, when I got hit by an asteroid, I died and sometimes didn't also, the things seem to not care when they get what they want and often change their mind and contradict themselves.but the concept is promising and the planet is sort of cute, so good job overall. instead of playing my game though, play [THIS ONE](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-balls/share-the-love) it desperately needs some votes. (you can play mine if you what too)
I really liked this game. it's simple and effective. there's nothing I can think of in a way of improving other than add some stuff, and you're perhaps good to go  my highest was 200
Pretty nice game! you should build up on it and call it worm.io :D final score: 1003
I have the same criticism as my game got for yours  it feels like I've got less control then I should've had and there's no way anyone could get it before dying and learning where and what things come at him. maybe ease it up a bit and randomize it so that the player can always escape. other than that, it was pretty fun game!
