Good work. Runs smooth. The particle systems look really good and I like the physics on the rocket. IT kind of lobs out. Hard mode was really hard.

bejk 2016-12-13 01:00

Thank you!
We were testing physics with that rocket and had so much fun with it that we decided to stick with it :)

This was a lot of fun. I really like the art style and music. The rocket launcher was a creative weapon choice. It was very difficult.

bejk 2016-12-13 01:39

Thank you so much!

paidgeek 2016-12-13 01:52

Wish there was an easy mode :D Good art, nice music. Bot's AI seems to break when they "fly" up.

mmason 2016-12-13 02:05

It feels a little rough around the edges but for restarting midway through the jam this is really good work.

I think being able to adjust the mouse sensitivity would go a long way.

djfariel 2016-12-13 02:15

I loved the difficulty scale. Easy normal and hard? More like Git Gud Skrub! That part made me laugh.

The game itself was fun, but I would suggest a few changes. Increase the rate of fire to make the combat more intense and involving. Take the enemies from two hits down to one hit. Create incentive to move around the room and to keep on fighting. Everything was well done and worked great, but I found myself hiding in one corner out of the aggro range of most of the enemies and found little reason to venture out from there.

Overall, a great submission!

bejk 2016-12-13 11:18

@PaidGeek
First of all, thanks for the compliments and thanks for playing!
Secondly, both easy/normal exist, we just forgot to activate them before posting this build, the flying ceiling bots break because of their rotation when triggering certain stages of its animation.
This have more or less been fixed now!

@mmason Thanks man! Options will be added post Jam

@djrariel haha I opted for laughs with that one, I will revisit the menus and make them better, post jam.
The "Git Gud" animation will be more badass and the sprites will be bigger. We might even rename "hard" -> "git gud".. I liked that!
Thank you for your suggestions!

Great audio and gameplay! Keep it up guys!

isg 2016-12-13 13:38

Nice 3D Shooter ;) with "Ko" chicken's sound. I've got lot of fun, thank you.

almax27 2016-12-13 13:40

Rocket can be a little hard to aim at first, but is very satisfying to land a hit. Great work guys!

asghardian 2016-12-13 13:49

Insane! (in a good way)

The game is very fun and hard (yes, is hard) but you guys concerned with important UX aspects and the game is almos complete (in mechanics).

If this is your first LD, you guys are in the very right path. Keep going and game on!

Oh it ramps up fast :p Camping in the corner seemed to work a treat, haha. Then a mad dash to the hatch.

sneeuwpopsneeuw 2016-12-13 13:56

The game has a nice feeling, nicely done.

digitaldude555 2016-12-13 14:00

It's a good game. It's hard to aim and I could not choose another difficulty beside the hardest one, doesnt seem to have an ending, I understand if it's a sandbox type but when you die it should say how many robots you killed. I liked the chicken art on the difficulty menu(Graphics in general were good). You should have posted the chicken art as a screen shot for your game btw. Sound wise I didn't get tired of hearing the song which is good. Mood is your best category here. Humour is non existant. As for the theme category it does take place in one room which is better than most peoples games.

Thank you everyone for your feedback! <3

skorpyo 2016-12-13 14:03

Awsome music, and dynamic gameplay! Realy like it

dejvo 2016-12-13 17:02

was the menu for another game? anyway, the controls could do a little more work and the FOV is way too low. but overall, pretty nice idea.

mrjoshuamclean 2016-12-13 17:11

Obviously would be better with options like inverting mouse and sensitivity - turning was a bit slow for my tastes. Concept is interesting, audio and graphics are neat (although the gun could use with some texturing - on my display it blends into the floor too much). I like the lobbing of the weapon. A good start. :)

alistesios 2016-12-16 21:46

Good work ! I wasnt able to play anything easier than the "hard mode" which is actually really hard IMO. Would've loved some score printed somewhere so I can compare how bad I am at this to the other people playing it.

Overall, well done :)

kamranwali 2016-12-16 21:51

The game was really fun to play. It did remind of the old school doom games. I almost finished the game but couldn't find the open hatchet. I do hoped that the mouse turning would be a bit faster though. The game play was smooth. The graphics and audio of the game was nice. Overall a fun game to play. Keep it up!

mementogames 2016-12-22 00:05

Amazing job for your first LD! Really impressive!
The game was fun, but it was hard to me to get into it, because I found the movement a little bit "floaty" and the aim too slow. :(
You did great, regardless of that. Keep rocking!

zgragselus 2016-12-28 08:58

It is just kinda too dark to play during a day, you can't see almost anything on the screen.

Also, the rocket launcher had short reach, because of the arc it shoots at; I would understand using physics for rockets, if you wanted to make use of realistic physics. This felt weird, personally (maybe because I'm used to Doom's rocket launcher?).

Other than that, really nice game!

oddly-shaped-pixels 2016-12-29 17:20

Fun to play but a bit too punishing imho, you could use some more feedback when an enemy aproaches you or you're next to some spikes.
But for a first game, that's really some good work!
