Great game! I Love the graphics and the overall look and feel of your game. The animals look so cool and the color theme is beautiful. The gameplay is good too but some details are missing, e.g. some kind of collision damage with the enemies and maybe the ability to hide behind the bushes but for only two days work and all the lovely details, it is a really great game! Thumbs up :)
The artwork is really nice and the sounds really suit the atmosphere of the game. Some stuff though, i ran out of mana really quickly so most of the time i relied on my minions to fight. I also couldn't really distinguish between my minions and enemies as only the colour of their level changed so i ended up trying to attack my own minions a lot. It would also be nice if there were more enemy types. Still a really beautiful looking and fun game overall!

I liked the game progression a lot. It's a good base to build on (add bosses maybe?)
Good job!
This is really nice. The gameplay is simple but addictive and the only thing I got stuck on was working out how to drink potions once I started (I expected H to bring the help screen back up but it didn't). Nice one!

I really enjoyed this game! Gaining minions is one of my favorite game mechanics! The artwork was nice and the music fit as well. I would have liked more variation in enemies, but for a competition entry it had a good amount of content!
Some kind of reworking of the base attack would be nice because of constant mana problems. Having some kind of other upgrades or finding new wands or what-not would be really nice!
Would love to see you expand this game! Good job and good luck!
Really nice animations and resurrection mechanic! I got up to level 5, and wandered a bit, but couldn't find any portal ... anything I'm missing?
@baby-dino-herd the portal is straight to the north (or "up"). In very rare cases the portal could be covered by a dudaduda-can or grass, in that case it would have been possible that you couldn't even have seen it.
Thanks for your comments guys, glad that you enjoyed it. I am also completely agreeing with any criticism that you guys have posted.
Really neat idea! I quite liked the core concept of the game with capturing other minions. I also like the idea of having a maximum amount of minions as this now means that a player cannot simplify revive everything that they have killed but instead, they have to decide what they want and what they don't want.
To improve, the only real advice I can give is to add a few more sprites as I only encountered two different types of enemies.
But overall, great game and well done.

I really like the artstyle you used, especially the main character looks really good. There could be a bit more enemy variaty but I really enjoyed the game overall.
Really fun!
I love the main mechanic, it was sometimes challenging to get the first enemy killed (especially if a few attacked). But once you get a minion the game gets going.
Love the Diablo style health/mana meters.
Music and graphics were nice ! :zap:
It is damn fun to walk around with an army of bees and ants. Well, bees more than ants, but still damn fun. I ended my second play-through with almost 50 spare health potions. I was only in danger once, when I wasn't paying attention to my soldier count and they were decimated. Ran away, spamming heal, until I found the site of the last battle, littered with corpses. :smiling_imp:
I didn't notice much if any power drain from raising the dead. Seems like there should be, or perhaps it should come from your own health meter. In the case of the latter, maybe you could gain health from corpses by holding RMB? Also, I suggest that when you're idle your mana regen rate should accelerate.
Nice, clean art style. I spent most of my first gameplay walking around the grass until I realized they were carpets, not obstacles. Only other nitpick is I'd like more sound effects from the creatures, so when your army is walking around there's a din of buzzing and creeping. Right now you only hear your own steps.
Great entry, I enjoyed it!

Thanks a lot!
That was fun playing your game, music suits well, graphics is ok (but there was something strange with grass falling behind anything).
The most interesting thing that made me go to the end of the game is the game mechanics with insect zombies.
Anyway, great game, thank you! Need more insects and interaction with environment

that was fun. more enemy types, some power ups, varied terrain and the game would be super cool. Thanks for providing a web version

Oh yeah! full on Diablo II over here
Really impressed, how much you've managed to get done. it's a little rough around the edges, but still, it's pretty good. Great job!
Its a funny game and a good idea! Maybe make more fluid the animations.
Good job on this one, I found the progression ladder well done and had a good time playing it. The art is also quite pretty. Loved the little sound of the walk cycle, very cute ! Congratulations for your game !
Solid entry! I wandered around for a while because I didn't realize you were supposed to keep going up. The progression was pretty good. Because I wandered around for a while on the first level, I didn't need to do direct damage for a while. Once I got to level 3 I suddenly found myself without minions and had to recover. Potion drops were quite generous, I still ended up with more than 10 at the end. =P
Not only the health and mana bulbs reminded me of Diablo 2, but also the panic as I desperately try to run away from an overwhelming horde of enemies while trying to reach the spacebar with my pinky. Well done! The insects also move very well.
Some suggestions (although you probably thought of some yourself):
-use WASD (or equivalents) for movement, with F to down a potion.
-Let enemies be provoked (in groups) when you attack one of them. Currently when my army died and I had not aggro'd any enemies, I had to wait too patiently for my mana bar to fill up (perhaps add mana potions as well?) and kill several until I could get the upper hand over the last few without instantly losing my army again.
-Add more enemies with different strengths and weaknesses, so that the player has too choose a balanced army. It did not seem to matter very much whether I picked ants or wasps to reanimate.
