Super fun and original take on the classic helicopter games, great job!
Very much enjoyed this! The upgraded weapons feel great to use. Enjoyed the art and sound very much.
Thanks for the heads up! Should be fixed now.
Very cool game! I most enjoyed using physics to rotate the ship, and powering up of course.
cool game, very difficult, but fun once i got the hang of it!
Great job! The blacksmith minigame seems a little out of place (its two games basically), but I got the hang out it pretty quickly (despite missing your instructions on this page heh), and the wizard and viking and other modifiers & upgrades were worth it.
I really like this, I loved the art, style, and mechanic. I had a lot of fun figuring out what I was doing on the first level, I thought you did a good job teaching me to play without any direct communication. I enjoyed the minimal audio.
I can't find the web version on the linked page.
Nice little game! some very cool mechanics. The instant gravity switching was a little jarring but for a weekend project I think this was great. Well done. One of my favorite compo games I've played so far.
Really polished, great sound. Well done!
Pretty cool for a weekend project! Loved the music.
One of my favorite games for the Jam so far. All around a lot of fun. The more I played the more I liked it. I liked that you could choose to challenge yourself, or take your time if you want. Definitely can be described as something easy to learn difficult to master. Well done!
Thanks for all the feedback so far everyone! It means the world as you all know.
Fixed the source code, must have deleted it when i took down the broken windows version.
Fun game! Played it all the way til the end. Good difficulty, and I really liked the different types of enemy attacks. Dodging the Green guy's shots that changed speed made me feel like a badass. My one tip would be to consider having the first shot of your gun after the rate of fire upgrades be accurate, and then let the rest fly wildly like you have them. One time I ran right up to a stationary enemy, blast away a full clip, and missed every shot =P. really well done!
"If online is zero players (yeah I’m not popular) you can press ‘Add bot’ button at the bottom-left corner!" bigger games just do this without telling you lol
also fun game! well done. There were other players at the time of writing this.
I remember blek! Enjoyed your take on the genre. It definitely got interesting when the levels starting allowing for longer inputs.
I managed to do a few full loops using the first obstacle and spamming jump + the direction of the side of the circle i'm on, but couldn't do it consistently enough to cheat the game that way. This exploration kept me playing longer than it would have otherwise, so I think thats good. Managed to get to the end! Loved the aesthetic.
interesting mix of genres, and interesting art style! Well done.
LOL
Thank you for including a MacOS build! Fun little game.
Gorgeous game. Great sound effects. I just ended up clicking every upgrade and in the levels leading up to the end I was starting to lose interest because I was just totally invincible, but also the enemies had a ton of HP so I just had to hit them like a hundred times. Being able to hold down the mouse to was appreciated. Great entry. Also if anyone is having an issue with the MacOS version, install and launch the game through the itch.io app.
Cute game, looks and feels really good.
I keep shooting the Earth but its saying game over for some reason?
Cool game Rumme! Very fun once I got into a groove. Sweet graphics, lovely music, sound was nicely mixed I never got tired of it. Loved the anime speed lines on the dash. really nice work. Don't know if you remember me but I hope you're doing well! rumme.png
brilliant game. the way the title screen is incorporated into the game, *chefs kiss* sound design really enhances it. It was nice that you kept the sounds simple, it really matches the whole package. sense of speed is fantastic. The only criticism I can think of is that the game gets really difficult really fast between the 30 and 40k area. But I was able to come up with a strategy to improve a little from that point, which is what you want in a game obviously. really nice work.
beautiful game! love the mechanics and how you slowly unlock the colors. game crashes when I press anything other than the arrow keys or enter to start the game. So its playable at least. Looking forward to seeing the expanded version!
really clever game! the pencil "found sound" percussion as the music was a great idea. the hit boxes were unforgiving, i'd make them a little smaller next time, and giving the platforms some spring like inertia when the change direction would make them more predicable to the player. still a really cool game. well done!
great atmosphere. sound was really nice. i thought the sonar was there to help me navigate but then i got eaten. the graphics were nice, especially the lighting effects, that was very well done.
fun game! expanded my lab to the entire map and defeated the boss. built a lot more buildings after that just for fun. The tips on the itch.io page were very helpful. Pixel art is lovely and the sound atmosphere is great as well. A weekend well spent I'd say!
cool game. i've actually played some of your other games like Chainitaire. best sound i've heard in the jam, although imo the music was mixed too loudly compared to the sound effects. the small details really made this game, stuff like the screen shake and chromatic aberration. i was going to say selling was way too slow, but that ended up being an upgrade, so it made sense. while i was playing i got called into a 2 hour zoom meeting and this is the result Screen Shot 2021-04-28 at 7.43.20 PM.png
@ditam haha yeah! I tried to animate the camera background color with less than 10 minutes to go but it caused major performance issues so I just left the sudden changes.
Thank you to everyone who's taken the time to try the game and say something nice!
love the graphics and sound effects. It was really nice that the sub turned around instead of just flipping the sprite (which is what I did for my game did =P). didn't figure out there was an inventory until my second play through. also didn't figure out how to shoot missiles until the boss. I would like to see the enemy torpedoes be larger as well. music was good, mine explosion warp effect looked awesome. Congrats on the game!
absolutely stunning work. I had trouble finding where to place the mines. luckily I wasn't pressed for time. I played for longer than I needed to, but it was fun watching my numbers go up. The audio atmosphere might have gotten old if there was a melody looping the whole time, so I didn't mind that there wasn't any music. I got some prisoners and tried to make an acolyte, but it didn't change the number in the HUD. not sure if I missed something. Congratulations on the beautiful game!
I was wondering if you used bullet ML when i saw the boss =). cool game, took me 2 tries to get through the boss. loved the graphics, especially the backgrounds. music was cool, i think a little percussion would have made it better, even just a kick drum. the lore was a nice touch.
well that was a lot darker than i expected
fun quick game. basically wandered straight into the boss so I played it twice. Much more fun with the upgrades. Congrats on the game!
cool game! the proc gen was well done considering the time constraints, i never had an impossible level or anything like that. the sound was cool, especially the music. it created a nice atmosphere. the lighting effect was neat as well, very pretty. there was some minor bugs like the super tiny main menu, and i couldn't figure out how to full screen the game (i just zoomed in my web browser), but nothing game breaking. i tried sneaking around but it seemed pretty underpowered compared to just running. well done!
man the visual presentation is fantastic. i like all the little touches like the celia on the buttons to tell if its on or not. the music is cool i like the little reverb'd percussive sounds in the background. had some problems already mentioned like getting stuck off the screen but still really cool game.
cool unique puzzle game! relaxing. i think the moving between sprouts could be automated a little, it got kind of tedious. still enjoyed it though. beautiful graphics, nice music and sfx. congratulations on the game to you both!
probably could have ended after the third face level, but this was super good imo. the third face level i felt like i beat by being clever and remembering where the tentacle roots were and being deliberate in my movement, but the final level felt like i just eventually got lucky. the atmosphere was crazy but cohesive. the music was super fun, and the the monochromatic color palette was a good choice. the mechanic of things grabbing you and pulling you back up only to themselves be thwarted by stationary obstacles was brilliant, it definitely made the game. i played all the way to the end. congrats on a great jam to the developers!
great twist on a fishing game! was a lesson in patience waiting to catch the right animal when i only had one or two cards left (it was always rabbit), but never frustrating and very rewarding to nail that skill shot hook to hit the right animal between two others. sounds and graphics were great. the guitar on the main menu was a nice touch!
cool game! survived the fall =) the art style was really nice especially on the full screened game, I dug the textured look. controls felt great. the indicator arrows were a very nice touch. What I needed to be doing and what my limitations on the screen were were both very clear. Great sense of speed when I really got going, especially the high 200s. Sound effects were clean and gamey, I liked them. Congratulations on your first Ludum Dare!
hey this looks familiar ;) I really liked your controls, very responsive. you were successful imo in creating the illusion that you were descending, i think the parallax bubbles helped a lot with that. good difficulty curve, i didn't mind the extended intro giving me a chance to get used to the controls. the big waves when you hit a new section were a nice touch, and the slowing mechanic was quite welcome. i liked your graphics, especially the larger sea creatures in deeper water. congratulations on your first compo game!
love the glitched out aethetic.
Bigfoot used Vaccines and Nuclear Waste to wreak havoc in another dimension; the NFL says Hiroshima is to blame! fun little game. I don't know if its by design but you can't submit a headline with a card that has a score of 1 in it. I had a good laugh at some of these. It would be nice to be able to scroll through all the headlines you submitted at the end of the game. Congrats on the game!
that was fun! the lack of friction and high stakes of the one hit kill sharks kept it interesting. i enjoyed being greedy and trying to slip between deadly sharks to grab treasure chests. the graphics were nice, i appreciated that things were animated.
i dug to china! i knew about scratch but i never knew it ran in your browser, pretty cool! the music was super charming imo, as was the one sound effect i heard. it fit the aesthetic of the game. congratulations on your first game jam!
cool vibe. great music. hit boxes were a little bit bigger than i would have liked, made the game very difficult.
this game has a lot going for it as a party game. the graphics are cool and the sound really fits, especially the music. there are some camera issues but its manageable. nicely done!
