Nice graphics and game concept. I like the movement. Took me a while to get a hang of it and I got stuck in impossible situations every now and then.
Great game. I covered the entire island with buildings and had 22 gnomes. Unfortunately I overlooked that I need to make a sacrifice and lost the game. Would be great if there was a popup "Do you really want to proceed without making a sacrifice?" That would have saved me. :D
I like the depth and complexity. It's a little hard to get into and I'm not sure how to get all of the resource storage space I need for building the rocket. Do I have to kill my gnomes on purpose just to get more building space for resources? Well, I guess sacrifices must to be made.
Great game, Tim.
Ding, ding! - Super cute game. Good job. :D
Hey, great graphics and a cool concept for combat. Like it. The controls would feel way better if I had full control over the camera.
Really enjoyable experience. Maybe it would have been cool if your decisions would have a sliiightly bigger impact on what happens. It feels a bit linear when basically all of your options say the same thing, but it was very entertaining and good looking nonetheless.
What a cool idea! Pretty interesting game. The balancing felt a little off to me. The fireball is definitely the way to go because everything else doesn't really deal with the incoming enemies in a sustainable way. If I could suggest 3 things you could do to finish this game off, I'd say: - Make more abilities deal damage. - Choose hotkeys that are next to each other and in a row like Q, W, E, R! - Give a bit of feedback when the player gets hit and when you use a spell without having enough mana.
Movement feels pretty nice when you actually use the movement spells. :) All in all pretty nice game!
Nice concept. Very challenging and probably a good game to train logic and math... Makes me feel a little stupid. :D Maybe highlighting the "very close"es in the history on the left would have been helpful. I like it. Very simple and clever little puzzle game.
Wow. Visually very pleasing. Looks and sounds absolutely great! The idea for the game is fun as well. The enemies felt a bit too bullet spongy to me and were not really interesting to fight against. I would have liked them to be faster and more dangerous but with a much lower HP pool. That would probably also make the dash more useful. Good job! :)
Nice concept. Would have been enough to show the shop once at the beginning cause it doesn't really make sense to buy more after that. Would have been cool to have a couple more enemy types that encourage you to buy 2 or 3 guns. The best strategy here is to just buy one in my opinion. I know it's hard to balance these games out in such a short amount of time, though. Big props that you even managed to squeeze in an epic boss fight at the end. Nice!
Nice. Made it to day 8. A lot of the designs are really cool. The player character and the bandits have really unique and characteristic shapes. I'd encourage you to be even more brave when it comes the design of the other objects as well. Are they hand drawn?
The game system is quite simple and creative as well. The dash is a cool idea as it is a nice multi purpose mechanic (movement and attack).
Ideas for cleaning up the UI: Get rid of the day counter and show the day at the beginning of the level in the center for a second or two. Show souls and required souls in the form of a progress bar. Turn the timer into a little clock that runs out (or at least a clock icon instead of text next to the number). Would raise the tension if it's highlighted when you're about to run out of time.
A little more feedback for when you gain or lose souls would be great. At first I didn't really understand that I lose souls when I touch bandits.
Overall a very creative and enjoyable game. Good job you two.
Nice! Pretty well executed. I'm happy you made this. Would have been really awesome if the amount of coins were shown by modifying the size of the bag instead of in the UI. :)
What a nice game system. Feels like it has a ton of potential and a great simplicity to depth ratio. The fact that you can walk over the darkness for a while and even cross parts of the map you weren't able to cross before adds a ton. This exact game with more levels, trophies and online breadboards... Sign me up!!!
Nice. Fantastic little game. Super simple but clever design. I like that even though you have mostly number upgrades they at the very least feel very significant. Really feels like you're constantly getting more and more powerful. Also looks quite pleasing. Well done.
Enjoyed the story telling in this game and doesn't overstay its welcome. Pretty fun to play through actually. :)
Looks pretty awesome due to the nice color scheme you picked. Also a good execution for the topic of this jam. I wonder why you decided to go fur such a low movement speed for the character. Especially when you're running out of time and still haven't found the exit it feels a little too slow. It would be great to have an incentive to destroy enemies. Seems reasonable to just ignore them at the moment. Overall big props for what you managed to create in just one weekend. Well done.
Wow. Really good one. Great art and gameplay. It's a bit challenging perhaps. The building part is super fun so I wish I would find more parts to build my ship with. :D
Has a great flow to it. Pretty fun and perfect difficulty curve in my opinion. Nice.
Pretty well done. Sound maybe slightly annoying, but theme works well for me and I like that you managed to make a working web build! Shooting pickax also very creative. :)
Very enjoyable difficulty curve and perfect length for a comfi game jam play-though. Very nice experience. Well done.
Unexpected turn of events. Love it.
You chose a great scope for your game. It's all pretty and polished and feels like a very round experience. Well done.
I tried both web build and windows build and it seemed a little bugged here and there. I suddenly had some stuff in my hand that I could't get rid of etc. Really liked what was there a lot, though. The idea is quite neat. You can pup a lot of thought into which job to take for maximum profit. Yum, yum, yum. Neat concept! Good execution.
Really cool concept and quite compelling gameplay with some interesting choices to make. Better feedack and snappier card turning animations in the card turning phase would turn this into a real banger. Already great as is, though. Well done.
Comfi playthough. Nice length for a game jam game. I wish hotkeys would work. It's a lot of clicking. Some more strategy elements would have been cool or maybe I did not understand how to strategically place stuff? All in all, great job! :)
It's very VERY cute. The voice thing feels like a gimmick but if not in a game jam when could you possibly do this. Really liked the execution. Art is 10/10. Great job.
I love the gameplay! So juicy. In fact it's so juicy and fun that it's a bit disappointing when it's suddenly disrupted by the end of the night. I would love a version where I can just try to clear a level without any time pressure. Would pay for that for sure. It feels like bullet hell meets souls like which is something I haven't seen executed like this before. Really, really love it. Would love to play more at some point. Great job.
If you can speedrun this in singleplayer playing both aliens at the same time you are the alien. :D Cool concept!
