Using a french keyboard with ZQSD instead of WASD makes the game really har to play, but i'm kind of used to it now.

The game is clean, jumps are precise so that's cool. Maybe too simplistic, but hey that's a compo so good job!

How man, a DOS game! Soooo cool! I love this retro feel so much! You should really try to add the angular change when ball bounces the paddle, the idea and the concept is great and it could really become a cool little game! Good job!

So you initially wrote the game in Rust ? Having tried this language, I still have mixed opinion about it, don't really know what to think of it for gamedev.

I love fighting games, it took me sometime to understand the LB to switch direction. Music fits well too.

Kudos for writing the game in C++ and for the skeleton parser, good job ;)

I really like the puzzle mechanics, I didn't get it the first time and had hard time understanding what was going on, but after that, it's really cool, nice work! The art does the job too, it's simple and it works.

Oh man I did not know I could have fun with an oscilloscope, the idea is really clever and very innovative!

Cycling through the waveforms is a bit tedious, and every time you restart the cursors are reset. Maybe the changes could be saved ?

Life is currency, so the oscilloscope represent our heartbeat ? Something like that ?

Cool! I can feel the FTL inspiration, obviously but paying for downgrades instead of upgrades is a nice idea and definitely fit the theme! Maybe too easy, I was able to finish the game on first try, and I suck at FTL. Great work!

This is a really cool game, i like the graphics and the mood of the game. I also really like the climb on grey rocks mechanism, and dig others.

The music is great, but maybe a little bit too melancholic for the atmosphere of the game ? Or maybe that was intended ?

Good mood in this game, graphics and atmosphere are really interesting. I must say I wouldn't have managed to do anything without the walkthrough, I don't understand what the second cursor (the finger) is supposed to do and the lack of feedback is really making the game hard to play. But, hey, that's a compo so congrats! Keep up working on this, the atmosphere is worth it in my opinion.

Gameplay is very minimalistic, the art style works. First I did not know where to click, then ended up clicking everywhere, but ended up dying anyway (at 3:30).

The puzzle mechanics are great, I really enojyed that there are no explanations and I had to guess everything by myself, such as trying not to get the two life counters down to zero at the same time. I think this is a solid puzzle gameplay! Maybe you could add some circle shadow under the character, sometimes it's hard to see clearly due to perspective. I just don't see the currency in the theme. You have life counters of different colors, but is it currency ? You don't buy anything ? Maybe I was not far enough in the game.

Kudos for making the game in C, SDL, GL. Good job!

Ok I tested the game again, the title screen was not broken but the game only run in high resolution I guess.

@youpeoples not sure about this problem, what Windows version do you have ? I tested only on Windows 10.

@phantomeniasll to use the bow, just hit the fire button like the sword (J key to fire, K to open chest).

@harksa Did you think the gameplay was too slow paced ? I think there is too much random in the game, sometimes it's too easy and you can beat the final boss quickly, and other times i'm beaten at level 3.

And of course, the app I used to write the game (Pyxen) will never compete with Unity, Unreal or even GameMaker, but it was really cool to make a complete game from scratch without leaving the iPad! (Even the music was done on an iPad).

@youpeoples thanks, I'll try to find a Windows 7 to test the game, I should have set some minimal requirements.

@silvervalegames hey thanks for feedback :) I've tested the game many many times and I've never been in a situation where the stairs don't spawn. That's weird I'll have a look thanks for report! Sure I wanted to add some highlight when we hit the monsters, but you know, time is running out due to the jam effect and I didn't have the time to polish this ;)

I'm so happy you enjoyed playing it ;) I'll probably try to work again on the game post-LD and make it a little faster, many comments report the game is too slow I guess I was too tired to notice that ;) Concerning the timer, I liked the idea that if Life is Money, and Money is Time, then Life has to be Time too!

@jonas-tyroller hey thanks for your feedback! In fact I was supposed to add movement speed powerups, but my time was running out for this jam, just like in the game! I noticed too after some tests that I sometimes end up not killing monsters and just avoid them, there's a flaw there, I will improved that. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to play.

I could probably decrease the damages received by death chests, I found the idea cool at the moment, but that's unfair for sure (I already died at last level because of this and it was frustrating!). Monsters should drop loot, you're right, I have to work on that because I simply ignore them most of the time. Thanks, I will continue working on the game!

Hey thanks @muzigpuzig for your feedback :) Sure I wrote all the tools I used for this compo, that's the best way to improve my tools I think, I use them in situation. Sprites were made in the same app as Code: [Pyxen](https://pyxen.com), the app was designed for that purpose even if it's still rough at that time.

I made it to the end, it is really minimalistic (too minimalistic?), but weirdly it's fun to try to get the pickaxe hit the monsters at the right time avoiding their spear. The game is easy to exploit also, just get on the right side of screen, monsters won't look back. Anyway, good job and keep jamming!
