I really liked the art style, and the atmosphere, I think great games could be accomplished using this monochrome style. But the other parts were a bit... lacking something.

Instead of typing a huge text, here is a super amazing live reaction: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/418104572?t=00h07m51s

Pretty solid concept and i dig the 1bit style

BEST IDEA

sebastien-bourgeois 2019-04-30 12:45

There's a strange atmosphere in the game, i kinda like it. Black and white glowing looks great.

@tudvari I think I know what you mean. But, oh well, 48 hours are "only" 48 hours^^.

@syrapt0r Am I allowed to make a GIF out of it?

@raphael-maia Appreciate it.

@mia-devs THANK YOU. THIS MEANS A LOT TO ME: BUT WHY ARE WE SCREAMING?

@sebastien-bourgeois I tried really hard to make the game strange and mysterious. That's why the menu looks like a bios. But i eventually ran out of time to make really thick atmosphere.

Really clever concept, great interpretation of the prompt. I love it!

gronther 2019-04-30 14:05

Extremely innovative. Most interesting interpretation of the theme I've seen so far. _Your life_ is currency. Brilliant. The sound effects and visuals created a great atmosphere, although the walking sound got a bit annoying after a while.

love the onebit style. Reminds me of minit but its lacking in stuff to do. Its clear that most of the time spent was on atmosphere. It shows and really feels like theres something more hidden underneath. Makes me wonder.

I liked the one bit art style, and loved the sound of the waves in the background. It's easy to get lost in the command line if you don't read the instructions like I did the first time around. Once I read the instructions though, it was pretty straight forward. Great execution and interesting take on the theme. Nice work.

Has really nice mood and style

flamus 2019-05-04 13:05

Wow! Great idea, reminded me little bit of Mimit. It was really fun to play and answer all kinds of questions. It got emontional at some point. Great job!

j-c-one-bit-studio 2019-05-04 15:06

Quite unique idea, congrats on making it. It brings me back to the atari and DOS age.

gamechoy 2019-05-04 15:20

Your take on the theme is very cool! I love the idea of revealing details about someone's life in order to continue in the game. I got to level 11 but I wish there was an ending that I could've reached maybe at 10. It's hard to find enough rabbits to tell secrets to. The art style is great though and I enjoyed playing it, great work!

pl4typus 2019-05-07 11:56

Hi, really felt the Minnit vibes, an hommage, I guess ?

The idea of giving your secrets is extremely interesting and show us how video game can have super creative ways to interact with.

I get that your game can have no other point than speaking your secrets to it, but I feel like something could happen eventually at some point. It feels like we give much to the game, but the game does not gives us much.

It could be seen as an introspective journey, I guess. Well done anyway, clever little thingy you got. Please continue making games, you can bring much to the medium, I think.

goerp 2019-05-17 16:54

Interesting! The choice of sound is great, to really feel life ticking away. the secrets idea is very intruiging, but I'm not sure if it works in the end.

The graphics I like. Too bad it is in Unity. You get advanced effects while the rest is very sparse. I think graphics like this would be more in the right setting with a true 2D engine.
