Not my best but pretty good considering I had work and couldn't stay up late because of school.

Simple but fun ;). I love how you manage the difficulty, very ingenious.

You were running out of time but it's a cool base for more bigger game, you use energy (life) to explore universe ! just add a goal (things to discover for example) and that's good ! (Add crafting and you are a small 2D no man's sky ;) ) You may continue after the jam!

It somehow reminds me of some games I played in my childhood, very good feeling :) However sounds are too ear-hurting for me.

memel06 2019-04-29 10:06

it reminds me the "Solaris" look of game

I had fun, I really like space themed games as well as spaceships.

graphics is at an ok level for a compo

theme is fitting

overall: Fun and well crafted, in the average of a compo entry

@becher Thank you! @robowarrior1982 Yeah i'd love to add more orbs and a shop to upgrade your spaceship, originally you could accumulate mass and grow a larger ship but I removed it because asteroids are supposed to be bad to hit xD. @manus Sorry about the sounds, I made them in Bfxr with little time, should have used audacity to clean them up a little. @memel06 Thanks, looking into making more space themed games as well!

The gameplay is simple but really efficient, i like the idea of selling energy to slow down. Good job!

@zachster Cool game with simple mechanics, but up and running! Speeding up really makes it hard.

Really good job

First thing I do after I started playing was to turn down speakers to minimum. SFX are awful :)

@sebastien-bourgeois Thank you! @jestemstefan Yeah sorry about that, happy to see you like the speed mechanic!

philstrahl 2019-05-18 18:27

I liked the mechanics but was a little bit confused about negative time and "energy" that. Here's me wondering in real time: https://youtu.be/lVCsQbSi-js

Thanks so much @philstrahl! Your playthrough has taught me a lot about the user experience and how it can be improved to be more intuitive and less eye straining xD.
