I abandonned on the first level with the fast thingies, quite a hard level when I didn't know you could pass turn. I've appreciated the art a lot and the beginning of the story is actually working pretty well. With art of this quality, too big subtitles and ugly text are really downgrading the thing :/ Cheers :)

hey :) I enjoyed the 3 first fights, cool music, and the main char animation seems pretty impressive to me. I had to connect a controller as it is seems really harder on keyboard but still the controls are a bit complex and not super conventional so I think you should find an easier way to show the controls (like painting a keyboard/controller) and have a way to show them again. I haven't tested the last fights but I've felt like powerups might cost too much health and I've opted for light powerups/no powerups. Cheers :)

Loving the graphics, the audio fits well too. I switched rly ealry on the "click everywhere" strategy because I didn't find the inventory, that is something you should help I think. Dunno how I coulda done it with mouse only, I felt like the "Use" button was the only way to unlock the first door. Also, interaction texts and main screen texts are very small. I understood late that the different action icons were cut if there was no interaction on that zone, I think you should push it a bit more like with a red highlight or smth. But I really liked the writing :) Cheers !

Art, physics and controls are very funy ! The intro and the elevator feel really long tho, but the animated dialogue compensated it quite well. Maybe having a bit of dialogue at the end or during the elevator could shorten up the intro. Glad to see that another team has had a similar take on the theme for a way more polished result :)

Both give me the gamejolt background grey screen + the dark bar with "minimize" and "close buttons" at the top of the page for a long period of time and don't seem to be loading anything. But it works on Chrome, I've just setup an english keyboard to try it :)

After having saved 85 lives here are my feels that are similar to the others above : fun, great music, feeling a bit slippery. The mini map is really helping but is hard to use as it lacks an orientation indicator + it is quite small and out of the screen (but hey can't put it elsewhere). Maybe having some FX on being eaten + where a zombie gets close would help that. Also, I think an acceleration on the zombie's spawn could be a first easy step for more replayability. Cheers :)

hey nice job ! controls are smooth, the arena is decently looking. However I felt it lacked challenge, robots are very slow and not shooting anything so they're easy to kill and then it feels like it's only only about not wasting ammo, and with more dangerous ennemies it could be much more ! @gward2489 which is actually not that easy to do, the post-compo build included a nerf to the lift force and I think made that easier x)

@abitscared yup couldn't fix that one, that's when I decided to add a Reload button x)

@aterlamia there was indeed this intention of feeling exhausted with a stiff neck blocking your camera, having to do stupid tasks but yeah I pushed it too far especially on the camera. And I thought "oh I don't have time to make an exit menu" but adding an exit control key woulda been a good idea indeed !

@fashionbatman not that simple indeed, are you talking about the lifting and holding of the box ?

thanks @beelzeboss , box laughing at you and physics glitches were indeed kind of designed that way. Some glitches are too much and just unfixable with my knowledge for now x)

thank you very much @jk5000 ! Indeed my mic is rly average and I didn't take more than 5 takes for the voiceovers without any editing afterwards, some words are too low. When you say "controls" are you talking about the keyboard keys, the glitchy physics affecting Frederique, the restricted camera, the whole box pickup and hold move ?

okay I get it better now. The rotation reset happens because of a fix I tried on the broken physics which is to reset x and z rotations when they get too high, but sometimes y rotation (which is allowed) induces too much x and z rotations, especially on heights. Arms are indeed another part of these anoying physics, initially the angle was small and you couldn't do that but having a max angle that important actually allow fun things in the last levels. Now I understand, thank you very much :)

@pixscope thanks ! @sebastien-bourgeois did you rotate ur arms upwards to hold back the box :p ? Controls are unconventional but working OK in most cases, physics is kinda the same. The game could def use a better UX design than a controls screen with a voice telling you stuff indeed ! thanks to you 2 for the feedback

@robowarrior1982 thanks mate;) indeed I made too many unconventional choices on controls. I think you can do that when launching the game with the Unity menu but in-game control settings coulda helped yeah !

@hugimugi7 that has to do with me learning Unity 3D physics : I wanted the player to feel like a human forklift truck + the acceleration allows more impact on the box if you want to push it. But you're right, it's too weird and becomes anoying.

@oakus the weird rotation has an auto reset when it becomes too much but yeah it's one of the most anoying thing I can not fix without a much better level on Unity 3D physics, the restart button was implemented mainly for that reason :/ Upper platforms amplify the rotation glitch and sometimes it's very annoying indeed. The box flying in the air is your lift button, this game needs a tutorial x) Really glad you liked the mood and the story, I'm working on a better game presentation so I'll probably add a full spoiler walkthrough so you can see how the story can end (there are 4 endings) !

@marcus-gambit thanks a lot mate ! Indeed, that's the main problem of the game. I should have really stayed with basic translations for movements instead of adding forces, I would have just needed to change the last level but for real, the "fix" build should have had that x)

Beautiful game ! The combat feels really nice so coming into 3 merchant rooms in a row with a too low health, not being able to buy anything feels bad, and then I just wanna fight everything I see. Maybe the blood payments could use more diversity than just skipping ennemies ? Keyboard remapping looks quite important also for this gameplay. Gj anyway !
