nice idea, and well done for your ludum dare entry! I wish I could redo level 2 without starting over level 1 :) the camera moving as "menu" is a good idea for the tutorial, but you want to quickly replay when you missed a level I guess.

@chrisdugne Thank you so much for your feedback. You're absolutely right : the player should not restart from the beginning.

I only wish you had more time to make more levels, because I really like the concept and mechanics! Nice work!

marcus-gambit 2019-05-01 01:19

@dan-thompson Thank you !

I love the innovation of this idea. All this is missing is more levels! Very smooth gameplay. Good work!

nexusviper 2019-05-01 02:24

Great job... I liked the concept and the game play... Very well implemented...

That's fun! Great creative take on the theme. I like the simple keyboard controls. It would be neat to visualize the movement, e.g. thinking of those as being 'fuel' that's burning 1 per square.

Moreeeee levels!

craftlord 2019-05-01 21:58

This is a great idea! And fitts the theme perfectly. I wish there were some more rooms :-)

This is a pretty cool and original nice job! The game needs an undo and restart button, and the transitions could be way faster. I hope you keep developing this, it has potential to be a really solid puzzle game!

Thats a cool idea. Sacrifice parts of your body to get into the finish. Like it. Good Work

i like puzzles, so they are abit difficult to score for me, cuz bias :dog:. but some improvements on the visuals (maybe show where there box will land when sliced) and more lvls, then you got yourself a nice little game. it was a good idea to use yourself as a currency to walk in the direction you wanted.

nice idea, woulda loved some more levels :) a cool first step of graphics upgrade could be on the texts I think, a bit of custom style and making them disappear when not needeed. Cheers!

mantou 2019-05-03 13:08

It's a great idea. I'm sure it would be fun with more levels.

schizoid2k 2019-05-04 01:11

This puzzle game has great potential... work on more levels! Would make a great mobile release. Only 2 levels, but I enjoyed playing, and I wanted more.

stockyspark 2019-05-04 09:43

Could not figure out how to beat 1st level. But I liked the concept, hope you make it into bigger prototype.

lancescaterpie 2019-05-04 10:38

This is actually a really interesting puzzle game idea, shame there wasn't time to go further with it The "slice off x tiles of yourself to propel yourself forward x" is really interesting

It would be great if there was some ui element that either told you how many tiles youre about to slice off or how far you would travel.

But I can imagine some really interesting puzzles especially if there were tiles on the level that you could propel yourself into and would attach themselves onto you so you could grow your body :)

nate-wec 2019-05-04 10:58

Great concept, lack of polish and depth. Use this base and make some more stuff with it, cause this could be a fantastic puzzle game! (I feel this game would fit on mobile phones)

veloev 2019-05-04 11:18

Loved the abstract turn on the theme!

quadape 2019-05-04 22:08

Great idea! It's a shame, how short it is. Hope you'll develop it into a full game someday!

alex-davies 2019-05-08 20:54

Great idea, just wish it was longer!

joshyoshkenoshi 2019-05-17 09:54

A very interersting concept! I really enjoyed playing this but, like others, wish it were longer!

All around good puzzle idea and implementation. I encountered a couple of bugs but they were more cosmetic. I failed the second level and the game started from the beginning. Usually in puzzle games like these, you can try the current level multiple times. The art and sounds were pretty good. The minimalism fits this game very well. Good job :)
