LD44 — Your life is currency

Oink Royale by Skoggy 2019-05-05T21:24:05Z

Nicely crafted, addictive, fun and beautiful. Just a great experience!

shoot out your life by puppetmaster 2019-05-12T21:26:40Z

Nice little game! I wish there was more effects, and pacing feels a little weird slow and fast moments alternate in weird patterns. Bot other than that - very nice!

Death Alley by DuzzOnDrums 2019-04-30T11:48:07Z

It's fun and very nice looking!

Blood Pressure by superpokeunicorn 2019-05-04T21:36:33Z

Very cool! The theme was uncovered very nicely, and the game is very fun to play!

Deadline by Sn4pi 2019-05-12T21:59:52Z

This is very good! It was fun figuring out how the game works! Cursor in the menu is very tiny, didn't find it right away. And controlling with mouse with moving camera was pretty hard. Other than that - great submission!

Mr Moneybag by managore 2019-05-13T00:11:00Z

This is just amazing

This is your life now by reuno 2019-05-12T22:56:28Z

The artstyle is cool, making your small story yourself is cool. The gameplay is lacking, but this kinda comes with this kind of games, right? Great submission!

Paynplayne by OrbitalBlueprint 2019-05-05T22:52:36Z

This is just brilliant. I love your artstyle!

FINGER FIGHTER - High Stakes by Erik Brunnstrom 2019-04-30T21:09:31Z

Wow, very clever, how you go about the theme, great!

Demonidle by carlosvVk 2019-05-06T00:18:46Z

Nice idea! Graphics and mood are totally nailed!

MƶƶM Mafia by Kultisti 2019-05-05T23:28:12Z

Very nice looking, and interesting mechanic. A bit too much with the backtracking for my tastes, but great overall!

Nexcidium by keanutah 2019-05-04T22:00:28Z

Nice little game! Everything is simple and efficient. I loved how shooting sounds are in the same rhythm as background heartbeat track.

Deadrun by jcmoyer 2019-05-05T21:10:51Z

These eerie sounds and fog! Very cool atmosphere. Graphics are mostly pleasant, and the game is simple and fun.

Save Your Bacon! by Furtive Pygmy 2019-05-04T21:48:10Z

Looks and plays pretty fun. Your voice acting is just a cherry on the cake, nice work!

TRIWAR by Donitz 2019-04-30T00:44:52Z

This game was pretty fun to play!

Bloodlust by Danga 2019-05-05T20:44:24Z

Very addictive and fun! Dash attack isn't very intuitive and comfortable to perform, took me some time to practice. Otherwise - an outstanding game

Danko by Pixel_Error 2019-04-30T13:16:17Z

Nice game, great mood. A bit slow, but pretty fun to play

Blood and goods by selewi 2019-05-05T23:43:24Z

Very cool! I wish it was a little less random, sometimes there are shops at times, where I would be able to afford anything. But otherwise it is really great, art is outstanding, music and sounds are great, gameplay is fun and addicting. Good work!

Spring Piggy Break by Yuri Langowski 2019-05-05T20:54:10Z

Very nice idea and base mechanic! Platforming isn't great, but I still played for quite some time. Sounds and music can get annoying too, especially after some time spent with the game. Anyway, good work!

15 Hearts by highlandbert 2019-05-05T23:09:19Z

Nice little game! Very cute artstyle. Maybe adding functionality to run faster would be nice, but otherwise - a great submission!

utsvulten by ditto 2019-04-29T20:42:56Z

Now I know that I am a good friend. Well done! Beautiful, atmospheric and a little bit uncofortable

KNIFE=LIFE by QuadApe 2019-04-29T11:48:34Z

@kevin-liu Thanks! @tim-allen, I've added mouse+keyboard at the last moment and didn't have time to add tips, sorry! I've added description for keyboard controls on itch and just added it here. Thank you for playing!

KNIFE=LIFE by QuadApe 2019-05-03T01:19:23Z

@nayrahbbt yeah, the game turned out to be quite hard, unfortunately, didn't have time to change that. As for the controls and features - it's not explained that great, you're not the only one who struggled with it. I'll remember that for future projects, thank you for your feedback!

KNIFE=LIFE by QuadApe 2019-05-05T18:07:38Z

@pixlark thanks!

@furtive-pygmy thank you, I'm determined to make it a full game in the near future!

@purrfexionator WOW, thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the game this much! I'll be sure to consider your feedback for a full game. **Checkpoints** - I wanted to add checkpoints with a similar concept: so you could dismiss them entirely and it would benefit you somehow, or you could use them but have some sort of penalty because of it (probably, your score). **Laser** - yeah, it can be a bit deceiving. I added a telegraph circle at the attack as well, but looks like, it wasn't enough, I'll remember that. **Concept** - yay! This is what I had in mind - controllable difficulty, allowing for both safe and risky playstyles. But still ended up with a bit too hard game. **Graphics** - well, I wanted to do so much more with the graphics, so when I ended up with circles and squares at the end of competition, I thought that it wasn't enough. This is the first time I did a compo game, so I wasn't sure of what to expect in terms of competition :)

KNIFE=LIFE by QuadApe 2019-05-21T18:09:23Z

@pl4typus for this version? I probably won't, since I'll have to replace all these effects with something. The effects now look like they are because I wasn't making it in time and I needed to put something in. But all of them are in there for a reason, so just removing them is also not an option. I might do something about it on weekend, if I'll have the time, but I wouldn't count on it. If you're asking about the full version I'm planning on doing, I'll definetely won't use something as violent as screen flashing, and will try to at least make an epilepsy-friendly play mode. Anyway, thanks for your interest in the game!

KNIFE=LIFE by QuadApe 2019-05-22T18:40:11Z

@pl4typus I meant the jam version. I'm pretty sure, I won't update it, only will add the source with issues I fixed earlier

Slice Me Out by Marcus Gambit 2019-05-04T22:08:31Z

Great idea! It's a shame, how short it is. Hope you'll develop it into a full game someday!

LD45 — Start with nothing

World Collector by Joe Williamson 2019-10-09T22:21:51Z

Amazing take on the idea, and it's just incredible how you managed to do everything in just two days. Great job!

Null Is Zero by Sunblast 2019-10-11T01:14:51Z

That's a really clever idea and realization, very cool!

Castle Crab by 5 Pyr 2019-10-11T02:15:31Z

Very cute artstyle, and nice and relaxing concept. Wish there was more to do, but maybe I'm missing the point!

...Not Even a Body!? by snesgaard 2019-10-11T01:22:49Z

This is a good idea! My only complaint would probably be unconventional controls you chose, but you probably already heard about that. Otherwise, nice and fun little game.

Shoot it all by Symphonia 2019-10-12T16:29:43Z

The game is actually pretty addictive. The only thing I want to say is probably that camera is too close to the character, making it too hard to predict where you're going to be attacked from. I learned, that enemies never spawn in the direction you're moving, but I wanted to switch directions more often.

Roman & Ownin' by mharring 2019-10-14T05:26:29Z

A very fun game. I loved using bow and piercing crowds of enemies!

HONK by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2019-10-09T21:11:17Z

The game screams quality! Top-notch action, loved every second of it!

HUMAN by QuadApe 2019-10-09T21:05:35Z

@artyom-volkov @evlko @fatsheep @nathant Thank you very much!

HUMAN by QuadApe 2019-10-11T01:39:48Z

@erebus thank you! It actually doesn't you autotarget enemies at a close range, so you're good just pressing the button at the right time. It's probably confusing because you're free to aim when not fighting, so I'll remember to fix this. @justcamh thank you! If you have the time, it would be great if you could try again and send me an error, since this never happened to me on different pcs.

HUMAN by QuadApe 2019-10-11T02:35:22Z

@stephenwhoskins thanks! You need to move away when you get poisoned too much, there's a small distance at which poison works :)

HUMAN by QuadApe 2019-10-11T14:58:52Z

@marc-grabow thank you! It's GameMaker Studio 2. @homero thanks! @ordineu thank you! It's actually a pretty good result :) @coffeecup-winner thanks! @goldenglade @le-don thank you both for detailed feedbacks! Most of the stuff you mentioned wasn't fixed due to time limit, unfortunatelly. @le-don the original idea was to have some bosses that give you buffs at the start and some optional bosses for those who seek more difficulties with debuffs only. I also wanted to implement senses in exploration (and exploration itself), but couldn't do it in time as well.

HUMAN by QuadApe 2019-10-11T21:08:40Z

@catiliangames @kultisti @death-is-cold @coffeedrinkers thank you!

HUMAN by QuadApe 2019-10-12T16:26:07Z

@boxedmeatrevolution @maximbegunov @ferdi thank you! I hope, I'll expand some more on the core idea soon!

HUMAN by QuadApe 2019-10-12T22:49:53Z

@of711 Дпасибо! @asfdfdfd thanks!

HUMAN by QuadApe 2019-10-14T08:58:33Z

@ohsqueezy, @svenerik thanks! @wolfrug thank you for your feedback! The thing is, the game turned out quite hard, as there's little change of completing it without ideally deflecting attacks after the second boss, as it's the only way to not get pain status. Dodging was supposed to be a mechanic in the game, but as I wasn't making it in time, I removed everything that required dodging. As fear is time-based and lasts about 2 seconds, you can run away from the boss. At enough distance you'll be able to get rid of the status before boss lands an attack ;)

HUMAN by QuadApe 2019-10-16T12:56:24Z

@cdunham @shaurya-juneja thank you!

Alone by Fragment Games 2019-10-11T02:08:12Z

I wish that gamepay didn't rely too much on trial and error, or there was some kind of checkpoint system. But otherwise it's a nice and cute little entry, good job!

Priest of RAGE by TheVideoGamester 2019-10-14T05:53:25Z

That's a clever spin on the theme! Idea is executed very well too. The only thing I'd like to comment on, is that progression is too slow, and the game becomes very repetitive

Sprout: Tree Simulator - Evergreen Edition by jakemchugh1 2019-10-11T00:56:32Z

This is a pretty addicting game. I'd like to say, you probably want to explain how to play a little bit in the description, because trying it out for myself took too much time. Even that you have to click existing node before you can place a new one - I discovered this just by accident. Anyway, it's a nice little game, you did a good job, especially for your first time!

LD46 — Keep it alive

Twitch Feeds by StaNov 2020-04-27T21:24:23Z

This is a fun idea!

I checked offline webgl version, and can confirm that '!help' doesn't work there. Also you can use commands like 'A5' there, without '!' sign, and it works.

Living Mandala by wdebowicz 2020-05-01T19:34:36Z

Can't say this worked out as a meditation practice, it's not really my field, but music and visuals combined kept me in for quite some time. Maybe it was a meditation experience :)

The last of its kind by puppetmaster 2020-04-30T19:54:49Z

Nice and simple! I liked that you switched it up with another minigame for the second part. Also, transitions look gorgeous, and music is very very nice.

The last of its kind by puppetmaster 2020-04-30T19:54:50Z

Egde Fault by crazyrems 2020-05-04T22:54:32Z

I really like your visual and animation style with low frame rate. And it's sad you weren't able to finish it, it would probably be very interesting. Hope you'll update the game!

pedALIVE (Pedal to keep it alive) by siryakko 2020-04-30T19:39:11Z

I liked the rotoscoped animations, even with a simple premise, they make the game a lot more exciting!

What the Firetruck!? by dvdfu 2020-05-01T20:53:53Z

This is so cool! This is outright a legit full tiny game. Graphics and audio are amazing, and the game itself feels very polished. And smaller mechanics like refilling water, or collecting people (which slows you down) really makes you try to plan ahead. But game's chaotic nature ruins all these plans, which is, probably the point. I love it!

Cyto Killer: Save Our Cells! by loveapplegames 2020-05-05T20:54:59Z

There's something weirdly oldschool about your visual style and I love it!

Solais by dragonxvi 2020-04-27T19:00:29Z

Very good submission! Technically impressive, knowing how it's a pico-8 game, you did a very good job making visuals dynamic and satisfying. Other that that, I'd say backgrounds are a little overdetailed, making it hard to read danger quickly, at least for me. Also, all the text disappears way to fast.

Feed It! by Bernhard 2020-05-01T17:09:24Z

That was a fun little game! I really enjoyed the third level with roller platforms. Levels last a little to long for my taste, once you get a grip of what’s going on you just wait for opportunities to feed the right box to the monster. When you introduced bouncers, I feel like game became too random and hectic though.

Life: 42 Cells by kara 2020-04-28T18:12:39Z

A clever way to gamefy the game of life. Good job! I wish there were a tutorial-reminder of the rules, so there would be no need to look it up.

Miscen...AGAIN!? by itsdanidre 2020-05-05T21:14:50Z

Very interesting concept and nice cute graphics! I guess, I'm not very good with riddles, but it felt like the game would be more fun (for me) if I had some attempts at pointing at things, instead of a timer, especially, since there's no way for the first-time player to know the layout. Also, the fact that timer goes right away, before you can read the riddle for the first time feels a little unfair. Anyway, good and interesting entry!

Charge it! by TwistedHawk 2020-05-01T21:05:59Z

Interesting theme interpretation! It was really hard to figure out what to do, and how to interact with things, so it would probably be better with some sort of tutorial explaining these things.

Wave Machine by Sciman101 2020-05-01T21:31:47Z

I really liked the graphics. Audio is good and fitting, gameplay is simple and fun. Great job!

Battle of the Blades by technodragon253 2020-05-05T20:52:43Z

Interesting idea! As a suggestion I would probably say adding some feedback for damaging enemies, and enemies damaging you would be great. Also, some work with palette would be great, since readability of the screen is a major problem here. Services like this https://coolors.co help you create palettes with nice contrasting colors that look good together. Anyway, good entry, hope you'll update the game!

Survive: eat or be eaten by jondkoon 2020-04-30T19:44:41Z

This is probably already a classic, very well executed with pico-8!

Wayfarers by Tednesday 2020-04-28T18:26:56Z

This is just a really cool and interesting game. This is a great usage of limited time as game mechanic, it makes the game feel more dynamic and forces you to make bad decisions. It seems, like there's not much you can do in the end, if you made mistakes earlier, but nevertheless, great job!

droidathon by acgaudette 2020-04-26T20:12:31Z

Very good concept and execution, good job! Feels great to play and I really like all procedural animations!

Taberu Bakemono by hiro.e 2020-04-30T20:11:55Z

An interesting concept, and splendid graphics. The game really lacks a tutorial of some kind, even some text here or on the game page would be great, since I've spent about 5 minutes trying to do something. The controls are a bit finicky, I think it would be better if you locked building options to a grid, since in current version there might be problems with proper placing resulting in frustration. Also, it seems very inconvenient, that walking turns building mode off, since you can build only inside a small radius, you want to move to a place where you want to put things, and you might not get it right for the first time. You might not have a lot of time to address all these things, but I strongly advise to explain controls at least in the text form, so people won't frustrate over this.

@nathant @bajtix @madbarron @amdmaster @eduardogacn @puppetmaster @dvdfu @virtuaworlds @ailesangen @rayriver @bredian @eran-haas @cupertino-game-dev-club @aaron-lehnen Thank you everyone for your feedback and kind words! @bredian strangely enough, not a single though about Spider-Man crossed my mind :) @aaron-lehnen hey! This is a common problem with some Mac build from GMS2. This might be resolved by moving .app file to any other directory from your downloads folder. I work on Mac myself, and tested it before uploading - it should be fine. Tell me if you have any luck launching the game!

Good Dog by QuadApe 2020-05-11T03:38:56Z

@sciman101 @thibaud-ligneul @alchemic @stanov thanks! @sciman101 aiming might also feel this way because it wasn’t properly explained, I think. It does auto-aim in most suitable target towards direction you hold the stick. It compares angles and distances to all possible targets and decides on what you’re looking at. I felt like arm and a reticle will convey this information, but it seems that didn’t work too. @alchemic yeah, it would be great to put a boss in for the final battle, but couldn’t make it time, unfortunately. As for the difficulty - the choice for the difficulty was deliberate. I’ve made some challenging games for the past jams, and wanted to make something more accessible this time. This was sort of successful, but some people still have a hard time playing the game.

Soulectron by Bredian 2020-05-01T21:26:54Z

I liked the artstyle and colors! Electrons look very cute, I think with a little animation it would look even better, but you probably were out of time. I really don't want to upset anyone, but I think it's important to be objective here. Music is very dissonant and obnoxious (probably because the loop is too short). Though, I appreciate the attempt to make soundtrack for the game, it would be boring without any music at all. In terms of gameplay everything works nice, and I like that you gradually introduce new obstacles to mix it up. Good job!

DI(e)NO(t) by Thibaud Ligneul 2020-05-01T19:28:50Z

Very fun and simple premise, but extremely good execution! Graphics are very cute and pretty, all new docuses made me chuckle! I didn't notice that you posted them in here, so waiting to see new ones was a good motivation to go forward. Maybe it would be best if you kept them secret on the game page? I don't know. Anyway, very nice and cute game!

Akula by Ilya_Nazarov 2020-05-05T21:03:50Z

It feels like controls are too sensitive for comfortable playing. Also, waiting for shark to stop completely before it's dead is a bit tedious, and maybe, if screen would move a bit faster the game would be more fun. Anyway, good job, love the JPG of dead shark :)

And weep above an endless grave by MabraX 2020-04-28T18:45:41Z

Visuals and mood are really nicely done. Levels feel way too spacious, with current characters speed, so restarting the whole level from beginning feels very harsh. Also, I'm not sure why you made everything but characters so dark. It almost feels like html5 build is broken (maybe it is, sorry if that's the case). This doesn't add a lot to the gameplay, I had to turn up brightness to the max, to be able to see what I'm doing. Anyway, good job!

Saving Zenith by Gricefin 2020-05-04T22:46:49Z

Circular Dependencies by Potti 2020-10-06T20:48:34Z

Certainly an interesting game, couldn't get past the second room though. I'm not sure, if there's something on the sides of the screen I supposed to see and interact with, but screen seems cropped to the point where I can't see the character in control fully.

LOOPOST by Olivier Millochau 2020-10-06T19:42:55Z

Very nice and simple game. Great interpretation of the theme. I felt like its a little too slow for my tastes, but otherwise, it's great!

TimeFabric by raoz 2020-10-06T15:41:31Z

This is a solid submission, I really liked that you can push platforms with your body and overall puzzles weren't too complicated but still were enough challenge to enjoy solving. Music is a bit too loud and silents all the other sound effects. And I couldn't figure out how to replay level from the beginning, there were situations where I was stuck because of wrong moves I already did during the previous attempt

Pizza Parkour by Luther-1 2020-10-07T01:24:46Z

Ahh, it's a shame you couldn't finish it, this one would be a banger. Hope you'll release a game based on the demo, because it's already pretty fun to spend time in. Character art is great, a lot of game feel even through sound is a bit weak and music is way too loud compared to it, and cool movement based abilities. Great job!

@nikolai-shkurkin this happens because game file is placed in OSX quarantine by default. I left the instruction on how to launch the game on OSX in itch.io page description. Tested myself on Catalina 10.15.7 and it works. Please, tell me if you'll have any luck running the game

MONKEY BUSINESS by QuadApe 2020-10-07T12:02:17Z

@no-grapes-games @yellowsalamander @otts @pobix @henry-du thank you for the feedback! We considered the idea of upgrades, but then we decided it would be more fun to have all the moves from the start and move variation into level design, so you could explore the level finding best moves in the best spots. There's a lot of ways you can complete the level with the same basic set of moves, our best time was about 9 seconds. Wall jump could you some work though, I agree

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Picnic Calamity by XenosNS 2022-04-11T13:01:43Z

Simple and addicting! Sounds are a bit too harsh on the ears especially with a lot of ants on screen, UI feels unfinished, but the game plays nicely otherwise, good job!

Wrath of a Dying God by piscythe 2022-04-07T09:52:40Z

Got to wave 30, very addicting game loop! For the feedback: heal feels severely underpowered until you get an angel, as enemy units tend to focus just one game before attacking next. I feel like heal over time could fix that. Also, it would be great to have some transition before showing upgrades screen to not accidentally click on power you don't want. Other that that, great entry, had a lot of fun playing!

Cardboard People on Fire by BoxedMeatRevolution 2022-04-11T13:16:06Z

Lovely aesthetics. I have a soft spot for small-open-world-fool-around games. It's a shame that the level is too small, as I think, exploration is a big part of this sort of games. Though, I had my dose of fun pushing everyone into the sea for a while, good job with the entry.

Yet Another Tron by Paul-Maxime 2022-04-15T21:29:00Z

The core gameplay is still fun and the fact that you managed to implement multiplayer in such short time is nothing but impressive. I feel like the base idea could be expanded upon, maybe something like dash, pushing you further ahead, but disabling ability to turn for a brief time could bring some depth to gameplay. But I understand you had only a few hours to participate, so, maybe it's a suggestion if you ever want to update the game.

Artwork and mood are on point, the world feels gritty and desolate. Controls feel a little overcomplicated, can't really tell the difference between 'observe' and 'report' commands, only that they do lead to different results. Audio is good, helps setting the mood, maybe ending theme felt a little out of place to me, leaping from uncomfortable and sticky tone to a very energetic one. Regardless, this was a very interesting and immersive experience, good job!

Never seen anything like this, that's definitely innovative. Not only that, but a solid game as well, really cool entry!

It's impressive how much you've managed to do just by yourself in three days. Giving off very old-school platformer vibes right away, plays nicely and smoothly. I had a problem with characters not rendering in Safari browser, and text skipping characters in Chrome, don't know what could affect that. Other than that, game worked perfectly. Great job with the entry!

Good job with this one, really have nothing in terms of feedback. Maybe, some messages were a little too on the nose, but can't really say it's a bad thing. Well done!

Good job setting the mood with audio and visuals. What I would address is the second map, I found the key before I knew I had to, so character didn't pick it up, and going for it the second time felt frustrating since I've managed to get lost even knowing where to go :smile: Other that that good job on your first entry!

Very cool idea, and executed pretty well too! I got stuck on level 2 for a while until I understood the rules, but when I did I appreciated how clever the idea is. Great job!

A fun little game! Platforming was a bit uncomfortable (the jump back over spikes in green sphere world gave me a gray hair), but puzzles were fun to solve, great job!

Zoomancy by ugly_robot 2024-04-15T13:03:03Z

That's pretty fun! Graphics and audio are nice, the core idea is interesting. Getting sigils right seems to be pretty hard, and I don't know whether it's my inability to read the cheat-sheet, or inability to draw them correctly. Maybe a preview of what's going to be summoned before you blow on the candles would help with that, so you don't have to retry too much. Especially if it's something you've summoned before. Maybe not though. Anyways, great entry, pretty polished, especially for a compo game!

Tackling an exploration-based game on a jam is not an easy task, so props for that. I really like this kind of surreal games. Can't say I understand what's going on in the story, it's hard to hear what's being said at points, but I still was curious about what I'll find on upper floors. Movement options really help with making traversing the landscape involved, although I felt like the character was a bit too slow at points, for such a vast environment. I feel like this could be a potentially very nice game with a little polish and if you stitch all of the ideas you have together a little better. That being said, I did finish and enjoyed the game for what it is, so good job!

Pest Control by jnur 2024-04-16T13:07:38Z

Cool little game! I liked the way you aim your spawns, it's a bit unusual but satisfying. The thing I found weird is that sometimes same enemies require 1 and sometimes they require 2 hits to be destroyed which throws you off sometimes. But the game was enjoyable regardless, and I also liked the UI animations you added

Summoner's Delight by StanTheSoupKing 2024-04-15T13:29:01Z

It's a very fun game, controls are a bit weird though, would be better if you moved action buttons to somewhere on the right side of the keyboard. Great entry, regardless, good job!

Where Have All the Globbletops Gone? by redoplus 2024-04-16T14:43:46Z

I'm just amazed. I'd give you a 10 in every category if I could. I love Moon and I love this, almost the same amount

GOBLIN VS FROG by omphh 2024-04-16T20:37:26Z

Very fun and enjoyable. Seemed to have a lot of trouble with drawing shapes minigame, even though it looked right to me, but maybe I was just bad at it. Great entry, nice job!

The Bread Soceress Panini! by Aly Name 2024-04-15T13:44:12Z

Cool entry! My only feedback would be that it's pretty hard to properly see where enemies will go because of isometric view point. For A chess-style game I think just regular top-down view would work better, although I understand that it would probably look worse. Other that that - good visuals and puzzle fights are very fun too, great job!

Summoner Defense by PT09 2024-04-16T12:58:03Z

Congrats on finishing your first jam! The game is a bit janky but playable and finishable, so good job!

Courier for Conjure by dotiocat 2024-04-16T10:38:35Z

Solid entry! Nice graphics, platforming is tight, I like the little song loop that's playing, gets you in a comfy mood. My only complaint would be that it gets kind of tedious after you visit all of the rooms, I'm not sure, but maybe it could help if you made all the items be placed in a single looping room, and allow player to pick up multiple at once, so player could optimize their run for items. Nevertheless, good job on finishing and polishing the game solo!
