Beautiful graphics! The mood created by the visuals is very good, although I thought the gameplay was a bit clunky. It felt weird to use the mouse to attack, but the direction of the attack wasn't related to the mouse

Talk about some great pixel work! Absolutely stunning!
Wow! Honestly, this is just our game but executed better  The pixel art is amazing, the sound effects are really satisfying, and the menu for sacrifices is really well done and cool. One of my faves of this jam so far.
Cute game, great pixel art and feedback with the screenshake! Fits thematically, but wish there was audio.
I like the look of the game.
The graphics and audio are really really good, great game overall.
Love the graphics here! Great job!
REALLY AWESOME GRAPHICS and the gameplay was neat too, really liked the idea guys. Good luck!!
I loved the graphics, they looked incredible. The game play was fairly simple and the controls felt a little off.
This game is not very compelling for me. It begins very slowly. I think it is a bit heavy-handed with the theme.
I should note that the music is way too soft and the sound effects are way too loud. I had to reduce my headphones to the lowest volume and all I could hear were the squishing and crunching sound effects.
The later enemies have interesting designs and I like the nude pixel art. The overall aesthetics of the game's art and music is fine but not my style...
Really like that art style, and impressed you had time to get all of this done. Good job!
@hubol, thanks for feedback. It was too difficult to do everything for 72 hours, because of pixel art, different mechanics of hero. I agree that the game isn't fully done, but i think our team have done a great job and lately we'll fix all bugs and weak moments.
@alexei-jilinskiy, thanks for feedback
Amazing game! The art is absolutely fantastic. The slashes have a nice 'oomph' to them. And the take on the theme is very clever. 5/5 all around.
@tjakka5 we are happy to hear these words. Thanks for feedback.
Very Good Game!!!!
Very cool. Love the art.
wow realy good graphics.
Nice game, some cool mechanices at work there. Good work!
Art is king and overall experience is awesome. I love it so much. All is 5
My only suggestion would be attacks going in the direction the mouse is relative the character
Beautiful pixel art.
Really nice graphics.
@elrobo The mouse direction is required for an attack in one of the buffs, and for a normal attack we did not have time to do it, so the player does not understand at first that the attack goes in the direction of the keys, thanks for the feedback
I can't NOT give you a 5 for graphics, it's mind blowing this was done in such a short time. Really feels polished.
@deathbysnail thanks @Padla for this awesome work, our team loves him <3. Thanks for feedback!
A really nice game ! Graphics are amazing, musics are cool, and the gameplay is fun :) !
Nice game, great mood. A bit slow, but pretty fun to play
The game achieves a nice mood for me. I like the subtle bloom effect and artstyle. You could invest some more time for more enemies and specials like a dash!
Graphics and sound are perfect and are perfectly working with the theme! The only thing that needs some optimization is the repetative gameplay. But that's absolutly ok for 72 hours! GOOD JOB!
A very nice game, but I had trouble finding out, what the different symols in your level-up menu mean. The graphics are great. Simple but effective! But I think maybe the music should be a little louder compared to other sfx effects (or maybe adjustable). Plus: It perfectly matches the theme!
@narrenschlag, yeah, the game don’t have an original gameplay and requires a lot content to be not repetitive and slow. Thanks for feedback!
Woaw guys ! The pixelart is beautifull ! The gameplay is also good but a little bit repetitive. One slightly sour note, the fact that there is no sound when the player is hit. But good entry guys !
Fantastic art style
Fantastic art style
It is nice overall but hitboxed are pretty ambiguous. I don't understand why do you get damaged when you attack sometimes also.
Also there is a bug - on the win screen it seems that character is still controlable on the back - you can move and attack and hear it sounds.
I like the game, it plays really well. The graphics are super detailed and cool! Lovely work!
Interesting game) Nice graphics and grate theme realization!
Amazing visuals; upgrading is a bit confusing but i think that's just me being dumb x). I get a conan the barbarian and doom vibe from this game.
the game looks absolutely amazing, the mood is very rich and the sounds and music are quite nice. But the gameplay is clunky
Stunning artwork! The gameplay itself has a solid core, though I do wish you could move while attacking - in general, speed itself somewhat lacks. The design choice behind the brain upgrade also had me wondering, as I couldn't feel much of a reward behind inverted controls, or many upgrades; and because they reset from stage to stage, choices overall seemed to lose some value, and I'm not sure how your own power scales up to enemies'. Game feel though! Those sound effects, and the feel behind hits is pretty darn sweet! That being said, congratulations on the entry!
@fusionnist I agree with your every point. Our game weakly motivates the player to play it. And some aspects are unbalanced. I really hope that you didn’t spend your time for nothing and enjoyed the game. thanks for the feedback
@someday-not-today Haha, you're too modest! You guys have great potential here, just as every other participant. Ludum Dare is no place to feel you're wasting time! Quite the opposite, it's been my favorite event in life since I started - and anyone participating is awesome as well. Keep up the good work, cheers!
@fusionnist thanks for motivation <3
I love every part of it. The music, the sounds, the art the smooth camera follow. And how needs a brain? Just trade it!
@nerzal thanks for feedback!
The art for this is great! With some more balancing and possible level changes this could really be something
Great style with a lovely palette. The glowing sprites were nice too. I think the sound effects also panned depending on enemy location? Nice.
Very sick this game! I really loved your pixel art! I hope someday I can reach this level of art!
@lumpy thanks for feedback.
Great game! clear scope leaves room for polish! I love it.
The art is absolutely amazing. The game itself is lacking a bit of variety and all the enemies do the same thing. Sometimes the enemies attack during a knockback (or it does not reset their timers).
Pretty impressive otherwise. Good job.
Polish, gameplay, game overall 5/5. It was hard for me personally to understand what was going on but never the less, I enjoyed my time with this game and would love to see an expansion to this with a tutorial for n00bs like myself xD
Excellent graphics. The map felt a little empty, but I'm sure as you continue working on it, it'll flesh out a bit. More intense music could be more fitting as well. great work though :)
Loved the enemy art. Interesting tradeoffs for the powerups, too!
Nice graphics, music and atmosphere. I especially like HUD.
Sometimes I encountered a problem that the altar menu didn't open.
Arts is very good! Atmosphere - too. But the game itself is too simple, this is sad. Hope you continue development and make it more fun
Wonderful art, would love to see it fleshed out a bit more post ld :)
Very nice animations and graphics I was immerged in the mood
What you can improve: * add feedback when enemy touched you and dealed damages * better hitbox between my attack and enemy * launch the attack in direction of my click mouse * on the win screen add button to restart * add pause menu
Will it certainly looks pretty, gameplay wise it controls a bit clunky. Your melee range is far too short, while it seems like you take contact damage from enemies when they are nowehere near you.
Mood-wise, this game was really nice. I loved the music and the art style was cohesive. The gameplay mechanics were simple enough to understand (although at first I kept trying to press e when I wasn't near the altar) and the game was fun. I didn't understand the bars at the top very well.
Really good work and idea. Well done!
@artyom-volkov, spasibo Artёm<3
The graphics are beautiful and the controls feel great ^^ The music was very fitting and the sfx sounded nice :) The only thing I would add would be an up and down attack + animation but otherwise it's a really great game
Gooood I hope, your add coop/leaderboard in future
I like the feel of the game, actually won on my first try :D Pixel art was great. Had some trouble with hit boxes though and didn't know that the mouse affects where I attack. Overall very pretty ^^
Very beautiful game and the idea of sacrificing you organs is awesome!
Amazing artwork! I really love the graphical style. Great take on the theme and execution. I think the music sounds great but I feel it's a bit of a mismatch toward the mood of the game. Also I noticed in your WebGL build the sound effects are playing in one speaker only. That happens with mono sounds in Unity WebGL but converting them to stereo will fix it. Excellent job on this!
@balance686 thanks for advice! thanks for feedback!
Thats some pretty nice graphics out there. When i saw for the first time the image of the theme on twitter i imediatly though that someone would made a game about trading organs for something but just now i finally see in your game.
Its kinda of odd to think that a game about a naked man with a sword is cool but you guys managed it. It kinda fits the proposed thematic of a man ripping his own breast to tore his heart out (how he managed to still alive after ripping the heart and brain out is up to debate).
Anyway, excellent job delivering this game!
Awesome graphics and artwork, perfectly complimented by some great sound in the background. I think the idea of the game is really cool - lots of people had a similar take on sacrificing parts of yourself for boosts, but I think the way you guys did it with sacrificing your organs for different effects was really cool. One issue I had with the game involved hitboxes - it's hard to know where I need to be aiming at to hit an enemy. Additionally, I wished there was more feedback about when I got hit. The health bar would go down, but I wasn't really looking up there when there was like 5 enemies on me, so it would be nice if there was maybe some camera shake or some flashing somehow. Anyway, a really awesome game with a really high product value - well done!
@joe-bustamante, thanks for feedback. We know that some collisions isn't good for player to undestand what is happening. We will fix everything in post-ludum version.
Great work, has some post ludum potential!
Incredible art! You manage to create a unique mood! I played to the end and had a lot of fun! 5/5!

Really well made, but I have 2 minor things to note: The powerups are a bit strong, I sacrificed everything at the start and just kept clicking until the wave was over. It's really unpredictable if an enemy can hit me or not, I kept dying and I didn't know why.
Really good game, bravo for your work ! Nice graphics and gameplay
As everyone has said, it looks and sounds crazy good, but the hitboxes for enemies can be a little awkward and large. I love the monster designs and what looks like subtle bump mapping on the ground, fantastic work.
Fantastic game! A little on the easy side but i LOVE the idea of sacreficing your organs to gain power. Reminds me of Soul Sacrefice.
Amazing Art! that ground is beautiful! and animations are excellent! I loved how fluid it felt! im sure you guys know but gameplay just felt a bit slow but i totally understand just in case you take it further!
The level of polish on art and music is amazing! I really love the lighting. It adds a lot to the atmosphere.
Gameplay is also very polished. The amount of screen shake and sfx is perfect. The combat is slow but satisfying. But controlling with the mouse is awkward. The enemies can shoot in any direction, so I think it's a bit unfair to make the player unable to do that.
The theme interpretation is also nice. But I'm not sure how death works, Does the altar get weaker on respawn or do the waves reset? I died a couple of times and then it showed me a game over screen.
Overall, this is a very polished entry. Your team has done a great job here.
The pixel art is awesoooooomeeeeeee!!!!!!! The monsters were soooo cool, I loved everything, maybe the melee range could be bigger but only that.
insane game, just the range attack is to overpowered
Wow, what a great game! Pretty much loved every aspect, wish it was even longer with more enemy types etc. But it's already pretty damn good! I loved the atmosphere and setting along with those really nice pixel art graphics.
You with no doubt worked hard on the graphics! The concept and its realization is done perfectly, but requires some balancing.
The movement and combat feels a bit sluggish though, maybe it should be more rapid.
Honestly I think this entry will make its way to the top!
Stunning art ! Some balancing to do and a bit of work on the movement and this game will be perfect !
Good job !
The artwork is gorgeous! Certainly top quality work there and the sheer amount of it is also impressive. The gameplay leaves a lot to be desired though as I didn't feel like I did overly well but still managed to win. I only sacrificed my eye and that I only did to see what would happen.
Overall a very solid entry and something to be proud of! Well done to all involved
Core gameplay is simple, but art is very stylish, music and sounds are amazing. Great work!

Like others have said...superb pixel work! Great game...loved the enemies! :)
Graphics and Audio were really, really good. Game feel was okay, and maybe a little too much camera shake. A really good entry, guys.. Nice work!

Awesome entry with an amazing art and mood, i love the aesthetics of the game.
The ranged attack power up is a bit overpowered, i think that you should replace the vignete mask for a cone of vision instead, facing the protagonist direction and even add other cones right behind every enemy to occlude other enemies behind their occlusion cones.
The ranged attack is too transparent and always flicking, i think that you should make it a bit more visible and powerful.
The temple stone emission isn't touching the ground around it, you should strengthens it's shinning red light and even try to increase and decrease its range in an oscilating/glowing fashion to also add volumetry and increase the presence of the stone, you could add some glowing and floating red motes, and some feedback upon taking damage like turbulence to the floating motes a red flash (a greater one that also paints the surounding area), some oscilating sfx synced with the glow that also pitch up and down upon taking damage.
There's a lack of sfx to enhance the protagonist's presence like footsteps, idle sfx (like his breath, grunts before releasing the attacks, grunts upon taking damage, blood splats upon taking damage, sfx upon purchasing the upgrades).
The scene is awesome because of the aestheticcs of solitude it brings to the user and you could enhance that with ambience sounds, like crows, howling wind, howling ghosts and ghostly whispers.
There's also a problem with the melee attack, i don't know if taking damage upon contact with the enemies fits the design since there's no animation of the character turning to all axis (currently just left and right) because you have way too much effort to kill enemies that comes from bottom and top sides of the map compared to left and right, they are perpendicular to your sword collision area and you have to firstly align your avatar.
I always enjoy jam games that feature fully-fledged menus, and you have obviously put a lot of effort into the still images and UI. At first, the gameplay is a little opaque (Maybe full text instructions in the trade menu instead of just icons and numbers?), but once you find everything out, the game is great fun. The enemy designs are disgustingly perfect and the theme is well-executed. However, as others mentioned, the power-ups are not balanced too well (ranged attack is overpowered, whereas I've always died too quickly once I've traded my heart). Great work!
Ahhh theres a lot to like about this game! Love the retro graphics, and it had this serious dark diablo vibe to it which I really enjoyed. The enemies were very interesting in their designs as well. I liked the green blobs towards the end. I also enjoyed how giving away your organs changed the character controls. More ability to sacrifice things maybe limbs too (which would effect movement and attack strength) would be cool and would leave you really trying to decide what to sacrifice.
Other crits would be perhaps more cooldown between waves, or even a way for the player to trigger the next wave so they have time to prepare/sacrifice. I really didnt have time in-game to read the sacrifice screen. Also I was a bit confused by the attacking mechanics at first too, and didnt realize the mouse position determined the swing direction.
But minor issues overall, well done on an awesome game!
Beautiful game, great mood, good controls and amazing feedback. Amazing work, guys, congratulations. I do have some minor nitpickings: - Hit detection seems a bit off, sometimes I think that I'll hit an enemy with my attack, but I don't. Same happens to projectiles that I think will not hit me, but they did. - Enemy AI design could be a bit more interesting. - Took me a while to learn that the character can die. I understood from the beginning that the altar could not die, but I didn't know that player could.
That's it. Amazing job, congrats!
Outstanding. Polished little game with a lot to replay. Loved the graphics the monsters, the gameplay. I would have not putted a directionnal hit when using the mouse because you don't need to aim but other than that it was top notch. Well done !
