Oh? What does this Placeholder mean?

Dumpy's Endless Quest for Crap by Budaniel 2019-10-22T21:12:00Z

Nice level generation. The music was a beat yo :sunglasses:

The movement on the other hand was janky. Which made it unplayable on some instances with moving platforms, since falling was artificial, and you had to move witht he platform, but as you're faster, you'd fall off inevitably. I also was not able to see any big effects in getting powerful, but hey it's an endless quest after all.

Private Universe by Zathnic 2019-10-19T23:31:45Z

:3

Capture32.JPG

This was a simple nice platformer. That gravity mechanic is really cool. And there were multiple ways to explore, beyond looking for pickaxes!

One thing I would say, it is hard using arrow keys and mouse (since both are primarily for the right hand) so I had to squeeze up my left hand on the arrows, and mouse hadn right next to it when playing:

Capture34.JPG

Consider adding support for WASD, in addition to the arrows?

Capture35.JPG

Also, I made a face

Soundmarine by Dustyroom 2019-10-26T22:05:30Z

This is an easy 5 stars from me :astonished: Insane shaders to get these types of graphics, and the soothing sailing through as you collect music, to keep it from fading, and adding new sick beats! Well done!

Poor farmer by Hadik 2019-10-20T08:33:42Z

Hmmm the game was going good until it froze. :/

Nice scaling though. Might play it again later. I'm burnt out for now.

Chase Champions by PietPtr 2019-10-22T19:43:08Z

Amazing game! The amount of times I juked those cops

Capture49.JPG

What's also awesome is that the mechanics are really similar to [Nothing is My Car](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/45/nothing-is-my-car) from @t-bo; yet different fun gameplays from the two.

Something from Nothing by Alphish 2019-10-23T04:07:00Z

There are a good couple games centered around letters; and yet they're all so unique!

At first I wondered, hey where's the music? Then it hit me. And it hit me good :^D The small particles in the background added to the details :thumbsup_tone4:

I love the criteria set out for each new area, as well as the layers of importance for each letter and the number system to go with it.

At first I thought the progress bar was bugged but then I realized there really are that many levels like "woah this a whole finished game!"

Pitch Blank by Jaun 2019-10-23T01:19:03Z

While minimalistic, your graphics and animations are really sweet!

I like how you were able to use the fog of war aspect and mix it with limits so even when you die, you need your memory. And the mini worms that lit the area is a neat idea too. It took me a while waiting on their movements in order to move, because I thought they'd kill me

Also, your highscore on my game is more than mine! :open_mouth: :thumbsup_tone4:

I Wait For Your Word by weeping-rupee 2019-10-18T05:17:30Z

I shouted 'op' at the end and won though

Neat take on this theme though. Spoopy music too!

Word Wielder by frankitox16 2019-10-20T06:04:30Z

Well, quite a game. I've seen other word games, but this one is unique!

Over time it got repetitive though. And while enemies punches got stronger, the healing and mending did not compensate well. However, many times I'd make sure I have 2 health before I kill them, although sometimes I still did not get any experience. And even when I'm dead (and it says Game Over) I am still able to play it  Neat entry. Art is well polished for the game's style, and idea is well made out....also...thong... :bikini:

There will be nothing by maskinmask 2019-10-25T15:39:50Z

Lol! Interesting take on the theme; and the baits that kept the user playing lol. The soundlessness and black screen overtime became a bit bland though, but the decryption guessing games was exciting

Also, would you consider using a thicker/different font? That could add to the visual design of the game, and make words more readable for devices like mine: Capture58.JPG

Stranded by kleinzach 2019-10-20T00:55:56Z

Alright. What don't you have? Dying. A "hurray you win" screen. What do you have. Exploration, neat art, calm music, and a simple objective to collect items. The delay in key presses to movement cause a bit of a nausiatic feeling, but it was fun!

Oh, let's go there

Capture40.JPG

I lost my campfire. Also, this is a good wallpaper.

Soulcraft by sawtan 2019-10-20T07:37:09Z

I like the minimalistic scroller design. Even the subtle turn animation.

It was pretty hard to hit enemies until later on when you were lucky enough to receive powerups that weren't bombarded with enemy bullets. And the hitbox was too big.

The game does remind me of chicken invaders and Touhou. I wish at the end there was some way to heal though. Its really hard! :confounded: I would say though, it doesn't do the description justice; as in I go in to find salvation yes. But in game its just a shooter and move around. There isn't really a score to keep track of how many I was able to destroy, or an in-game reward aside from a scroller shooter.

All in all, really good game for a jam! (a bit frustrated because of how seemingly unfair I died, but I did enjoy the game)

Ex Nihilo by agentparsec 2019-10-22T21:22:03Z

Woah! This was some amazing stuff! Not gonna lie I did take a while on a black screen waiting for a game to load, before spamming buttons and clicks and soon realizing right click did the trick

Amazing proceedural music too, and the separate incremental progressions all the way to the end! Calming and interactive. Nice take on the theme too!

Wandering Soul by negator2vc 2019-10-20T02:30:46Z

What is this feeling..serenity? Hope? Thanks for making!

Not gonna lie, those ghouls were spoopy, nice mix with the Halloween theme because October!

Untitled Sandbox Game Where You Throw Sticks by niborious 2019-10-24T03:40:09Z

The endless proceedural generation is mind boggling! :astonished:

The FPS was great, so was graphics, collision was smooth, and sticks chasing the player because I run too quickly was hilarious. I'm amazed all this 3D stuff can be done with Javascript though :open_mouth:

Bathtub Admirals by shide 2019-10-20T02:19:29Z

Aside from it's incompletion (I ran out of boats but could still use the Destroyer, and I never got anything like admiral) It's a really addicting strategy game.

I wish I could play against other people lol, but BreadBeard got the best of me in the end

Dear Diary by Rodrigo Denúbila 2019-10-22T20:38:24Z

The voice acting was great! Unfortunately, it lagged for me with the CPU, and even greater on the GPU, so it became unbearable to continue playing.

> But I really want to finish the story! :weary:

Is it possible to do a version where you can set the graphics of the game before launching? I know usual Unity games have that feature.

Nothing by pantoufle 2019-10-23T00:02:55Z

Nice interpretation of the theme. There were many things to interact with; each had their own variables that made them fun to play around with. And then the blackhole, and everything is back to nothing again!

My only request is the ability to instant place items (or in a choosable number of items) after we discover the blackhole and are just in the "playground" until we've had enough of the game.

But I would say, you did have me in there a while testing out physics and everything.

Note, don't drop an anvil on a pile of 10+ glass. Rip screen

Deboned by Sarah 2019-10-20T08:14:24Z

There're so many subtle things that go unnoticed, yet make the game as good as it is. The day night loop for one. Everything built up gradually, making more money to afford more things, unlocking achievements and recipes.

One bug is making the muffins the first time, unlocked the bread recipe, so I figured out how to craft bread. Then that recipe unlocked the muffins recipe lol. I found all bones in the end tho!

The inventory only slows down when using the knife board. With the stove/oven, everything is fine.

And the world jumping left and right is so cute :joy: Nice Ludum Dare entry!

Survivor Slots by PeachTreeOath 2019-10-23T03:41:13Z

Really interesting concept! You had my brain moving for once

I wasn't able to win though, merely unlocking the guy with brains at the end.

Survivor Slots by PeachTreeOath 2019-10-23T05:09:31Z

They stole my stuff :( by ploy 2019-10-19T23:54:43Z

Funny game indeed. There was a bug where I got my horse, but died to crabs and while I still rode the horse, I could not fly over the river and thus "was not ready" so I had to collect the horse again, while on the horse. But I did anyway and beat that baddie. Wish the end boss was those people that robbed me though :<

timeline-small.png

Overtime I felt like you got cheesy forcing me to pick harder decisions lol. I was in the 250s for all for about 20 clicks trying to balance them. But unique idea nonetheless!

*Edit* One slight note, on the browser version fullscreened, clicking under the canvas still chooses colours.

- V O I D - by AtomFox0213 2019-10-24T03:51:10Z

Woah! Eerie music helps the feel! At first it took me a bit to figure out what to click, as its visually uninteractive due to its theme. (you know, items that stick out, or arrows to another screen, would not fit your theme)

After figuring out by randomly clicking everywhere  and obtaining a shard, it was pretty easy and turned into quite a short game lol. But enjoyed!

Outsider by Shinmera 2019-10-08T17:44:18Z

I like the idea of the lighting system, despite the glitches. Although, after getting the camera item and bringing all lights back on, it was failry easy to walk around the guards trough the levels, I finished in no time at all

Anytime I try to fullscreen it, it instantly quits though. But nice game!

Farm Fortress 2 by kroltan 2019-10-18T06:01:40Z

Ok so I...love this game! It kept me playing for quite a while, despite how broken it was

By broken: towers attack enemies when you click it to place it. So I have it hovering, then when I clear the wave, I right click and never actually buy the tower :stuck_out_tongue:

At the start, I did run out of money or wood without realizing and waves never came so I pretty much started over. Soon enough I got the main idea down though! :sunglasses:

Although...after 3 waves, the enemies ceased to come in waves.

I wish there was a way to feel satisfied with my accomplishments, or objectives to meet before beating each Farm Land

Capture21.JPG

The water animation when collecting is a neat addition in terms of graphics, but with dozens of wells, it becomes slow to scroll around with that many. Though the argument is if it's better than idly watching the water increase. So an option to turn it off/on would be suggested? I mean, this Ludum Dare thing is done and gone right, doubt you'd decide to now implement an entire system for showing or hiding certain displays.

But I enjoyed the game, and am gonna go back to it so see how far I can go.

FOREST NINJA WIZARD GHOST by johnnysix 2019-10-20T07:44:23Z

Man those cats were crazy following me I went in**SANE!**

But in the end I broke their ankles and got home safely!

Spoopy stuff though. Halloween? :eyes:

The graphics are amazingly well done, I also add :3

Metro Gang by invader 2019-10-17T17:20:57Z

It took a while to understand how to get people on my side and criteria for taking over a gang. The post-jam version worked for me. The original, I would never get the money, but after I tried spamming the dropped gang members until their colour turned to mine.

Doors by N4tticus 2019-10-20T02:50:00Z

This was really difficult to control and balance. The humans don't know how to evacuate a room with fungus, so I can't even lock any doors until it's safe. And both the fungus and the oxygen letting out are making them suspicious. How do I survive here!

Neat game. I like the idea here. I kept dying too early on to explore the full story though. Maybe a walkthrough video?

Also, this slightly offended me the first time lol Capture42.JPG

Handee by Mr ChocolateSalmon 2019-10-25T15:29:26Z

Short game, lol I ended up discovering the monster first but dealt no damage, so I went on the mission to the right first. The rigibody physics result in some really springy bounces sometimes (I even fell off the map once )

The boss music as really spooky though, nice job on that part. As for the ending...I got 10k+ score, but the time taken, and murders brought it down to -7k  (maybe I took too long) Capture57.JPG

Confused by Rombus 2019-10-13T00:09:41Z

Cool simple game. You're excused for so little. But it was neat and straightforward, so it's a yes from me!

...and to Nothingness Return by philomory 2019-10-20T04:03:09Z

Neat puzzler that really tests the brain. I like how as the game advanced, there were new challenges like walls and castles. Over time "existence" was really beautiful too, nice maps I had the privilege of destroying! :^D

But hey, you gotta rate other games too, otherwise yours will go unnoticed!

Trashwars by pestodesign 2019-10-20T02:39:18Z

That was some intense strategy gaming! And one the games I find really fun this Ludum Dare! Nice!

Wish there was multiplayer (online) to this, but it seems very polished, and ready to expand!

That's a 10 out of 10 from me! :thumbsup_tone4:

> 5 star but you know what I mean :joy_cat:

The Whispering Forest by Mathstr0fficial 2019-10-17T18:46:30Z

Music was good. There was no need to not hold shift and sprint everywhere I'd say. I sorta got stuck in the end, as there were rocks blocking me from retrieving the Shield even after I got the Blade and checked the mines with the ores. Other than that, it's a lot of walking around and numbning exploration.

The woods did give me a spook when it started, but the bug from @jordanvang happens to me as well, but even when collecting the blade, and ring.

Word Crush by lunarDust 2019-10-11T15:59:19Z

Awww it is really good. But I bet it was hard, if only 1 level. Love the literal theme "nothing" :joy: Nice idea and game!

Claimbeer by neowhoru 2019-10-11T17:56:07Z

I made it to the end without the Dashing item though lol. The scratches in the music was a bit annoying to be honest. But the gameplay was nice. Cool jumps. Love the detail to the background, and animations too. I got spooked the first time I walked into an enemy and died :joy:

The Only Way is Down by Roka Josh 2019-10-20T04:20:52Z

The levels were repetitive but the difference in artwork made up for it. It's simple and nice, but with all due respect...I'm not about to go over the entire game to make it all the way back down there. It'd have been better if there was compensation as in checkpoints, or extra health gained over time.

It's really easy to get hit by them, and controls are difficult.

With your right hand on mouse, and left on wasd, there's no space to hold shift to run. Spacebar (free for the left hand's thumb) would have been easier to use for running. I like this game too much, that's why I'm mad at it's lackings! >:[

Maybe even a score would be nice when hitting enemies. But it's just a 3 strikes you're out, see how far you can go game. :sleepy:

It's really fun! But that death after all that progress left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Shi no ganbo by Simon Rahnasto 2019-10-23T01:55:20Z

I..did not understand the end. But I thoroughly enjoyed this game.

It runs primarily on the GPU, which was lagging. So when I restarted it on the CPU instead, it moves fast. But. EVERYTHING MOVED FAST. Tap the movement once, the character FLIESSS! But I was able to complete the level at least. Though I did fly off and fall alot :^D

The art is so cool. Creepy because of the masks, and the alpha effect helped with the spookiness, but even the backgrounds. And the storyline..I'm not sure if I understand it mostly because of the end. But Nice game!

Shi no ganbo by Simon Rahnasto 2019-10-24T01:57:59Z

A laptop. Windows 10. But maybe it's because I use an i5 in an originally i7 processor, mixed with an nvidia gpu?

Necros by TwinGhosts 2019-10-18T05:02:18Z

Yo! Well polished game, that was rad! The cursed music spooked me the first time though

Those huge minions were terrifying though *slam intensifies*

You deserve wayyyy more ratings on such a good game!! :joy:

Edit

Why'd you remove the music category? Your igm is rad as well, that's what adds to the game itself!

But that's a full 5 stars from me! :thumbsup_tone4:

Start with nothing by rubyleehs 2019-10-18T17:32:39Z

I did have to come to the comments to realize the symbols could be used as letters. It's a really unique idea. I also had to Google words that start with nothing" and spent most time browsing different websites because it was not clear in using symbols; it left quite a bitter taste on my tongue :head_bandage:

Really cool game nonetheless. I still like it, while I no longer have to patience to explore new words

> The thong was hilarious

ModuMon - Barebones Edition by ArBe 2019-10-20T05:37:13Z

@philomory I thought it was me alone with my low battery mouse's issues, but I guess it is common.

I did have to click a bit before it is placed everywhere. I was able to juke enemies when I'm lighter by punching them and running away before they punch me. But after a beafy full health very strong me goes out. It's brawl to the death, be chased down, and die

Still love the hilarious creations from the drops though!

A Game about Nothing by earnso 2019-10-26T21:59:44Z

Love the voice acting lol. 2 silly things to say though:

Capture60.JPG

agansilly.gif

Review time: What I really like about this one, while one of the others that stresses on a game about nothing, you were able to make it entertaining, with the narrations, as well as the flickering graphics. Lol I went back and tried to beat the flappy bird, but you always cut it even when I pass through the pipe. smh bugs.

It's even amazing how you were able to do it in 6 hours. WELL DONE!

Polychromatic Escape by BLK Dragon 2019-10-20T01:11:11Z

That gravity switch is amazing I must say. Overtime I had to give up on the game because it because nausiating for me. However, the music is calm, the graphics are nice :lenny:

Polychromatic Escape by BLK Dragon 2019-10-20T05:00:55Z

@blk-dragon mostly the wall glitches. Although minimal. 3D games in general give me nausea. But they're funnn!

Generic Shooter Game by GameWolves 2019-10-18T23:21:12Z

Quite a unique home screen in my opinion. The screen was too large for my screen so I was unable to see a score or other buttons. Had it not been for @justuspan's comment, I would have thought that was left out. Despite how overpowered I was, I was hoping for a bit of health regen over time  It became a bit repetitive overtime but I still enjoyed walking around and gunning around

Necrofenser Hero by Guilb 2019-10-25T16:02:41Z

Bashing around chickens was hilarious though

Bob the Brawler by itsdanidre 2019-10-08T00:36:23Z

@idontknow I'm definitely working on it!

Bob the Brawler by itsdanidre 2019-10-08T00:41:38Z

@anticdope in what other ways can the walls be useful? I wanted to avoid players boxing themselves in, so I added the ability to break walls, to the enemies.

@iori-branford yes, I am increasing the player hitbox. All enemies have a fixed health. It's probably the hitbox made it seem as though you attacked when when you did not, so yes I will adjust that.

@arielle-stroman @AXLplosion is amazing with the art! And faster right away? :cold_sweat: That's definitely the definition of quick paced the game should represent :grinning: I'll work on it!

Thanks for the ratings guys! Give me time to adjust the game and get to your games as well okay!

Bob the Brawler by itsdanidre 2019-10-11T06:34:30Z

@janik-h Thanks! It was as much as I could cover in the time unfortunately, although I did fix some bugs! (See changelog) @fragment-games Thanks! @taylor-reynolds that was an audio bug that I fixed. Do check it out again if you have the time  @mad-brokli Walls block enemies and create fun navigations. And since I fixed the aim bar, it's easier to see where you're attacking/placing! @lone-wolf you can now place walls at will in the heat of the battle! :stuck_out_tongue: @feingehacktes Thanks for playing! I am going to try out everyone's games now!

Bob the Brawler by itsdanidre 2019-10-11T15:13:48Z

@gauphastus You almost beat my highscore  But yess! Bob is Brawling angryyyy! >:[= ***** @lunardust as it's mostly a brawler, I'd more add powerups that increase brawling capabilities, over weapons, but suggestion noted. Thanks for playing! ***** @vaibho Dude you found a cheeky way to survive! xD (I will update the AI's intelligence, in an effort to combat that! (>:]=) ***** @shieldgenerator7 woah thanks for playing! Let me get to you: 1 The play screen has a list of controls right where it says Q to play  2 Glad you like it! 3 Thanks! @AXLplosion worked really hard on it! 4 Collect potion drops to add it to your inventory. Use space to consume such potion. ***** @gamers-blood-entertainment @neowhoru thanks for playing! ***** @marcus-otterstrom Yo quite the review! You definitely beat my highscore though :joy:

I really appreciate your suggestions on wall usage. The potions were meant to be the HP generation, since sometimes I found issues in balancing where the player would forever have 100 health, or enemies would punch too hard  But I will also adjust the scores to give an incentive for placing walls! *****

Thanks for playing guys, I'm going on to playing your games now!

Bob the Brawler by itsdanidre 2019-10-12T23:56:57Z

@t-bo xD thanks! I'm really glad you like it. What's your highscore? :eyes:

@nikita-demidov I tried balancing the knockbacks to prevent him glitching through walls  I think the Q and E would be trickier though, because you've need to figure out how to move up and left at the same time, while using those fingers to press q or e. But with mouse, one hand (left) can be on the WASD, the thumb finger on Space, and the right hand on mouse with left and right click accessible right there and moving the mouse as the aim. The reason I put Q as pause is because that break away from quick paced moving you can stretch your finger to pause right there and take a break, without having to find your hand all the way over to the P button.

But if I keep working on this game, I'll definitely add options for customizable controls

Thanks @kevinworkman! I actually vision a full game vision for this though could include a larger map, as well as other items/power ups, online queueing too...but I'd need a team for that since I still have yet to learn the multiplayer part lol...but as it was Ludum Dare, it's all spaghetti code anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

I'm glad you like it!

Bob the Brawler by itsdanidre 2019-10-14T22:28:33Z

@redhermit :joy: thanks man! ***** @coffeedrinkers thank you! You came close to a full score of 10s xD ***** @mrpiedpiper brawl or be brawled  Yes, clicking outside the game stage cancels the action since...well since it's off screen  ***** @invader whew extensive review! I guess that is a cheaty way..later on in the map enemies force you to move around though, but I will think up a way to prevent such campers. P is another button to pause, but due to hand limits it was betteer keeping it next to where all our fingers are, so you won't take too long locating the pause button in this quick paced game.

I've also never considered devices with touchpads only. When expanding the game, I will include different control sets. Although, one of the problems with the hit based on direction, was the need to constantly move left to run and right to punch for a split second, then left to run again. But I guess I will make it a controls option in the future. *****

Thanks for playing!

Bob the Brawler by itsdanidre 2019-10-18T00:54:53Z

@barkergames thanks for playing! I agree, surviving forever isn't really something a player would want to do..forever

But hey, you can post your highscores to see who is the best Brawler! :stuck_out_tongue: I do plan on adding more content/goals soon. Any suggestions? ***** @mharring I guess I can add a bit to the attack animation instead of one quick frame. I'll look into it! But thanks for playing! ***** @sver glad you enjoyed it! ***** @trevor-shoe Yeah I didn't get too far as it was a game jam, so I fine tuned the story around all limitations I had  But hey, glad you like it! And thanks for playing!

Expansions are a surety; may I ask what features you'd like added? ***** @mrerdalural thanks for playing! ***** @jin9310 I appreciate the bias you had for my game :joy: ***** @umsee can you give me more onit being 'less juicy'? :grimacing: ***** @coldsanwdich189 thanks! ***** @pestodesign get shanked! I'm not sure how to avoid that yet, but I'm experimenting ideas. Suggestions appreciated :grinning: ***** @honey-pony trapped? That's odd. I will add to the description what the power-ups do

I barely got the pathfinding working so it released as limited as is with the time limits, unfortunately. Thus, the only way I saw to make it difficult was to increase variables relative to score and call that 'difficulty'. But I do plan on adding a new enemy soon...we'll see if that expands the story, as it was made to collectively grasp Bob's current limitations

Player invincibility is definitely a power-up I've contemplated adding, but now I have a greater idea on it's implementation, so I'll get to it! Thanks for playing! ***** @gord10ahmet thanks for playing gord!

Bob the Brawler by itsdanidre 2019-10-20T04:46:33Z

@honey-pony huh that's indeed weird. I've never experienced that bug ever before

Were there walls surrounding you, or did you escape the map somehow? ***** @lexyvil the difficulty does increase over time  - Baddies spawn faster, stronger, higher health, in greater amounts, punch harder. - Powerups become more frequent, lasts longer, becomes stronger/more efficient. - Potions give more health as well, to compensate for the stronger enemies. ***** @pestodesign :joy: you have to use powerups to combat that :grimacing:

However, I'm looking into adding AoE powerups soon, to combat that. ***** @johnnysix a puzzle game! That's really a unique big brain idea. I've never explored puzzle games before, and it's often challenging (and sometimes fun) to play those types of games myself, but I can definitely do something along the lines of adding levels and you'd beat a certain amount of baddies before proceeding. Then I can create other challenges as well. Sounds good! :thumbsup_tone4: ***** @sawtan Haha, yeah I made the objectives with an attempt to encase the limitations and possible features of the game :stuck_out_tongue: Thanks for playing! ***** @umsee Woah! Another sweet review! Haha, we all have those inner critics. 1. Effects is one thing I've never done before, and really looked forward to it for this game. Thank you for reminding me! That'll be a while coming, as I currently would have to get back in contact with the artist, but the screen shake should definitely be possible now, as I've made my own custom vcam! Great idea! 2. I draw the enemies off sprites by images using JS, so I'm not sure how I'd render/manipulate said images. What would be easier though, is splitting the head/body into separate sprites, and upon each baddie spawn, they'd have a property of which combination of sprites they are....customization! 3. Health sometimes drops when they die, which is registered after they vanish; that's why I left it for a short time originally. But I do now (just thought up) know of a way I can make their heads remain a longer period of time, nice suggestion. 4. I'm no art genius and again would have to see if I can get @AXLplosion into animating that. But what I can do at the moment is have a mini glow lingering in place of where the powerup will spawn for a couple seconds. And if that powerup is off screen, have a few arrows on the screen's side indicating that a powerup is over there. (similar to that one missiles phone app where you see which direction the missiles are coming from) Great idea!

Thank you for the review, and the many ideas with it! Fortunately, those things are within the range of my skilset, so with time, I'll see to it that they're done!

*****

Thanks for the reviews guys! I'm adding those ideas and suggestions to the game soon.

But for now, I've got maaaany submissions to rate! :^D

Capture44.JPG > So I'll get to these first!

Bob the Brawler by itsdanidre 2019-10-20T06:32:23Z

@philomory Thank you for playing! I do plan on building traps (more so, spikes) soon, that can be used to bait baddies and cut them off lol.

@umsee I use plain HTML and Javascript :stuck_out_tongue: Prior to the event though, I also made my own Game Engine, which is what you see with the canvas (full screen or not, resizable for all sizes) as well as the game audio (simple APIs I created prior which made everything easier) Adding audio I put the file srcs, and just load it in and call functions like audios.playLoop('audioName') and it'll look for that audio and play it!

But everything is done using Javascript, and drawn onto HTML5's canvas! :thumbsup_tone4: so the spaghetti code is all open source either way, lol.

Bob the Brawler by itsdanidre 2019-10-21T19:02:40Z

@derek-volker Thank you for the review. Due to the limitations of the Ludum Dare I was not able to implement levels, but it is in fact [something I'm working on Post-Jam](https://trello.com/b/HgDlN6cd/bob-the-brawler)

The audio was rushed at the end too, thanks to @AXLplosion. And enemies are also planned to be broadened on. We cut it close jam end.

Lag you say, I've never experienced that. But I will look into optimizations as a result.

Thanks for playing!

***** @karrar-home-student Thanks for the review! ***** @artyom-volkov Thanks! ***** @johnnysix that's definitely a unique mix :anguished: ***** @honey-pony I've adjusted the wall collisions, so hopefully that does not happen again

Bob the Brawler by itsdanidre 2019-10-23T05:20:07Z

Woah, these reviews

Bob the Brawler by itsdanidre 2019-10-23T05:25:24Z

@nidjo123 thanks! great highscore! ***** @hkspadez the shake effect is one of my favourite things  Thanks! ***** @jaun nO BOB it's Bob the Brawler, not Building! No fortress buildinggg!! :stuck_out_tongue: ***** @danilo-freire thanks! ***** @gullyngames Sweet score! I do plan on more baddie varieties, yes. (I've also considered baddies collecting powerups, but that's a program for another day :joy:) ***** @untitled-studios thanks! Glad you think so! ***** @peachtreeoath All 9s :open_mouth: **you beat the game!!** :astonished:

Surprisingly enough, I tried that method (corner spamming) but it didn't work out for me...I guess your twitch-mashing finger skills are much superior to mines  I guess a way I could counter that is by having a delay in the clicks as well, but for this LDJam I'll leave it as it

It was an amazing experience developing this game! I was able to use years of tutorials I learnt; finally understanding what they do, as I browsed my mind for methods to do this or that and remember a video I watched in the past  Lots of **big brain stuff**

It was also my first time collaborating for the making of a game , and the artist was able to take my concept and create art that set the game up as it is now:

Before Art-

pathfinding.gif

After Art-

pathfinding2.gif But yeah, he's a professional, so he really was able to make the music/art/sfx sync :relieved:

Thanks for playing!

Bob the Brawler by itsdanidre 2019-10-24T02:19:00Z

@shaurya-juneja @rodrigo-denubila thanks for playing! Your reviews mean a lot to me! ***** @shaurya-juneja good luck! ***** @ryusui Fortnite, aha. The strategy was intended indeed. Sadly the end result wasn't. I guess I really did not make a lot of the controls very clear: - When you destroy walls you also collect walls. - You receive walls from collecting packages, and have a random chance to collect one from baddies. ***** @alphish woah, there! Okay, first off, thank you for this extensive review, it's really eye opening. Let me get to you. - There's a barrage powerup that does auto attacks for you. The auto attacks are faster at later stages, so it's the big help for beating baddies. - In addition to that, there's a strength powerup that insanely boosts your attack power. Combine that with a barrage powerup for insane one shots. - As enemies scale later on, powerups do too, that was my plan to get players roaming for them; but I guess it was not well intuitive  - I learned mid-production how to draw maps from pixel-images; the first few maps were just the screen size; I used array 1s and 0s for those. I thought keeping them there along with the larger maps would have added for variety; especially as a player can simply **R**estart that one level if they're not satisfied with it...but I guess I should have made that clear as well. - You receive walls from collecting packages, destroying walls, and also have a random chance to collect one from baddies. But wall rubble; that's **definitely** something I can add. (well, more of a wall drop) though the challenge would be seeing to it that you don't collect too many walls at once (max is 99) - There's already a restriction that you can't place walls on baddies...unless you found bugs I somehow missed? :eyes: - Invincibility is definitely something I thought about adding. More like an invincibility powerup for a brief period of time. The challenge to adding it to *whenever the player gets hit* is that in earlier stages, it's almost impossible for baddies to hit you before you brawl them to death; so the challenge would be balancing early gameplay with scaled difficulty later on. - originally it was one enemy sprite. But people (myself included) longed for variety. Unfortunately, the artist had moved on from the project, so I used my pixel skills and drew 3 different coloured faces  but HELMETS TOO! :sob: I plan on so many varieties, but I need an artist. :pensive:

The character gets stronger in terms of health, and powerups become more powerful, starting from nothing. So I guess I should have made it clear, that the powerups are the driving force behind the game, and from nothing to something. Also, there's an ending at **9999999** too

As for expanding, I'm [working on a version 2 of](https://trello.com/b/HgDlN6cd/bob-the-brawler-20) the game outside from the Ludum Dare, and I'm adding all the suggestions around. (adding your wall rubble drop as well) So the future game will have those things considered.

Sorry for the extensive reply, but a whole hearted thank you for the review. I shall adjust my game description to be clearer on everything! :thumbsup_tone4:

Spikt by Paulo Brunassi 2019-10-20T01:48:49Z

So...I was able to get to the red robot and I instantly was able to both jump and have hands. Then I roamed and found the orange robot, and then my claws vanished (I still could have jumped) When I went back to the red robot (now being able to jump), it was gone, so I could not get back my arms. However, I simple jumped over the wall with the lever, and won the game :^D

The music wasn't too much. But not annoying. The art was good. Even the subtle randomness in the black walls (no idea what it's called) went to show the detail put into this! Nice game!

P L A G U E T I M E by bruins 2019-10-23T01:12:38Z

Graphics are amazing! interesting gameplay mechanics too! Only thing I found problematic: 1. There weren't enough ores in the map for a sword. 2. There was one slime block that would never die and would follow me forever, day in night out. No matter what Bow I used or anything. Playable otherwise.

Free Will by Baski 2019-10-22T20:52:27Z

Neat platformer. It does have lag on some levels, which isn't ideal, since you need speed and accuracy when placing platforms. But overall, nice game.

The glow was almost too bright though; you'd want to consider softer colours for those with epilepsy.

Start With No Cat by MaiMai 2019-10-22T22:11:33Z

So you're telling me. One touch from the cat and I'm dead. But I got to hit them multiple times, with a cooldown, and painful aiming controls. These kittens frustrate me to no end! But I guess that's the tradeoff for witches, dominate and own >:3

Nottingham by nidjo123 2019-10-22T19:58:35Z

Really cool 3D game. Gives me ideas to one day be able to create such a game using my own engine lol. Those ghosts spooked me out though, as simple as they are.

The only thing; overtime it because nauseating for me. Moving was too quick and you got stuck in walls; wheras the brain would expect you to slide on the wall and gradually move (or at least, a bit slower) so it make me confused. The levels with giant pits of lava tortured my ears  In addition to that, the art style of the graphics also had my brain spinning lol. I guess I could probably only handle softer themes but maybe it's just me. But I still enjoyed playing. Nice game!

No Stone Uncrumbled by Jonasz999 2019-10-22T19:14:15Z

Wow. Neat brain game. You use multiple skills, energy efficiently, number decreasing timings (to know when to roll around a block near a box, until that block's number is low enough, but not too low) accuracy is key!

I would say, my energy became very vast...and...I just checked the controls again because the money was not needed; I checked to see if there's a key for a shop that I missed...turns out I overlooked *Space* to pick up blocks...I've been pushing them around all this time  no_stone_unturned.gif

Nanna Memories by LillyByte 2019-10-17T21:34:07Z

Nanna is elated you remembered everything about her!

Sad I only got 71% accuracy though-I'm sure I placed everything exact

Really interesting take on this Ludum Dare theme. I really like how everything was put together. And while some features were wanky (shove the carper behind the bookshelf and out of sight forever  ) It was still enjoyable to read the story and I guess simplistic but well made! Well done!

Also, thanks for tuning in to my stream  @lillybyte

The Island by Sanguis 2019-10-18T16:17:04Z

So I left for 30 seconds to prepare a meal (kettle was whistling) :flushed: Capture27.JPG

Came back just to upgrade to the max, and as there was nothing left to do, I just made my world: Capture28.JPG

***** The graphics are spectacular! I wish there were calm sound effects for placing/clicking tiles, but the music was peaceful.

It's sad that you did not implement the last tile though. However, as is it's really well done. In terms of polishing, larger maps to counter that insane increase in wealth could be an idea. It was a bit underwhelming when I realized I got to 3x3 and that was it. But I did continue on to decorating.

An indicator to how much you can place would have been nice instead of strategically hoping you don't see the warning preventing you from adding more tiles. I assume it was infinite on the largest map (as I was able to forever build, or maybe did not reach a limit yet) but I was in fact anxious about my placements, trying to get in as much decorations as possible without seeing the warning limit reached. The subtle things go a long way I guess

Love all the creativity in theses comments though, I'll leave with my world here as well: [theisland.gif](https://jin9310.itch.io/theisland)

I really enjoyed your game!

Zen Man by Team Catwheel 2019-10-18T06:13:17Z

I guess I'm not very good at this game after all

But it does require intense focus to avoid those chaotically spiraling words. But I guess it's even as intense the focus needed to meditate and clear your mind!

Nice take on this Ludum Dare. Peaceful music, nice graphics, while simple, and well put together game!

Zen Man by Team Catwheel 2019-10-18T06:17:57Z

I went beastmode and achieved Nirvana! Almost beat @xakkar's score:

Really uniqur design I must say! And congratz on your third Ludum Dare!

Crystallian by Untitled Studios 2019-10-23T04:30:02Z

Really cool game! I was able to get really far, until 4 multishooters on all four corners gunned me to death :cold_sweat:

The challenge was trying to find the keys to quickly build, destroy, or shoot (since sometimes building would be placed in a way there leaves holes) and my scroller does not work so the quick paced action needed before the ship drags me in to another area also added to the excitement.

Neat game. I'd suggest adding a score or indicator of progress, as it gets repetitive when you just go on each time to build a bit, shoot a bit, and then go on again to repeat.

Better than nothing by Fictions 2019-10-26T20:33:28Z

Ahaha, well it definitely is better than nothing! Neat game playground where you increase score over time. At first I wondered how was I able to do certain things you needed to unlock (move, dash) but later on I realised the unlockables are ust for visuals (and score!)

Also...at the game start I had 450 score even without playing yet  Capture59.JPG

Celia's Lightmare by Aj Jones 2019-10-11T14:16:42Z

If it wasn't for my terror for horror games, I would have played it much longer  Even with simplistic graphics like these, your team has managed this much fright. And well I'm a scaredy cat anyways. I did gain new radiance though  Amazing graphics! The style with the 3D is mindblowing! The music/sfx gives me the chills, and the lighting helps the setting. Nice game!

Nothing but naked by LoneWolfDev 2019-10-26T21:25:54Z

Hilarious game idea lol. I was only able to get 2 clothed; never the third by the principal.

@nikolay-zapolnov's video really helped me, I never knew (or thought about) the idea of going quite behind there, lol. Also why these students all faster than us

Snow Country For Cold Men by Brandon Anderson 2019-10-18T06:27:38Z

The game is over but I'm still building snow power!

Capture25.JPG

I really like this game. It's a simplistic rolling loop with ranodmly generated objects, but fun.

I did notice the skiers further down the hill (or higher up, imagination  ) and it was hilarious watching them fall. I usually rolled over them when large, but was spooked when I, a small ball with low snow power, insta died the next time I crossed paths with a skier

Catchy music, and cool graphics, :sunglasses: :sunny: :eyes:

Edit:

Full snow power and a score of 200k+ and still rising :joy:

Medieval City Sim by coffeedrinkers 2019-10-14T22:35:28Z

Woah. Looking at these comments, some of these builds are hilarious, yet cheeky.

I'd have never thought I could get away without including a graveyard. I like the game, and it's a great idea. But it would be good to know how I'm being scored a bit more lol. Just stats everywhere isn't good for my more visual than analytical (at the moment) brain.

Capture16.JPG

I also thought 92 would be amazing since it is close to 100%, but these comments prove my score minimalistic lol

Leaping Louie by mccarlp 2019-10-20T05:07:38Z

Love the voice acting! Game seems really polished aside from the gameplay, that's polished too though. Lol.

Those highscores are insaneeee though! Am I really that bad at drawing! I die within 15 seconds every. Single. Time. Glad you linked the game though! I had fun!

Nothingness by PhillSerrazina 2019-10-17T20:41:46Z

Self love is definitely the best type of love! (sarcasm in(not)tended)

Loved this game. Really nice combinations everywhere lol

Lonely Planet by shieldgenerator7 2019-10-11T16:30:19Z

It took me a while to realise how big I get, but this was thought out and planned well. Moons can be lost, asteroids could either get smaller due to sacrificing of moons, or avoided altogether until you get big enough.

Neat game!

Lonely Planet by shieldgenerator7 2019-10-11T17:07:04Z

@jupiter-hadley woah! Fancy seeing you here! I remember you had played my LD game 4 years ago!

Glad you're still around doing what you love!

The Pumpking by WFMG 2019-10-22T21:30:34Z

Lol. I fell out of the world rather often. And movement was a bit janky as the camera got stuck. But nice idea for a game nonetheless!

One more thing, the web version intro doesn't work. Just a black screen, so inevitably I skipped it.

Overherd by Marcus Otterstrom 2019-10-11T18:38:22Z

Mehhhh! *sheep noises* Your game is really cool. Voxel at one, and subtle music too. Those pesky sheep on harder levels got me frustrated though!! THEY ALWAYS SWERVE ME AT THE LAST MINUTE JUST BEFORE MY HOOK! >:[

I gotta say, this the most I enjoyed getting my ankles broken

At first there was no reason to actually hook, since I could push them into the fence...then it got to the point I needed to throw them over! You've thought this out well!

Acorn Rush by MrPiedPiper 2019-10-17T17:30:59Z

It was hard to grasp the mechanics at first without the indicators, but I soon figured out how to do it. Nice game

Delta Test Site by Derek Volker 2019-10-20T07:17:57Z

You took this theme above and beyond!

Capture47.JPG

2 things I disliked. The big brain controls were too hardd! 2, Z, 3, X up down left right!....how am I processing all those keys at once! And they're kinda away from easy finger placement, so I had to look at the keyboard a lot. It was frustrating lol. Stupid boss turned on me in the end! like I'm disposable! HA, GOT WHAT THEY DESERVED!

Neat start with nothing features. Exploring the levels to achieve perks, though I did find myself running back and forth too many times with a really slow movement speed lol.

But in the end, I am satisfied :>

Castaways by GhostGoatsGames 2019-10-08T04:48:57Z

My character died asleep and woke up and stood there untouchable for life...cause he's dead. My first 4 characters died before I realized all the things to do, so I'm gonna restart it...but tomorrow, it's late. I'll be back!

Castaways by GhostGoatsGames 2019-10-08T16:07:47Z

Okay, I'm back lol. Beat it :sunglasses: Poor humans though, I took off with the boat and left them tending to their resources still :flushed: Capture.JPG Relaxing music though. Neat!

Scribble from Scratch by Tobias Maushammer 2019-10-11T13:48:40Z

Very amazing idea! I enjoyed the big brain calculations and strategies that'd have been necessary to play. Although there was no music, *scribble scribble scribble*

Adventure Bag by Raphiell 2019-10-20T03:16:42Z

I like the features and idea behind the game. I wish it was more visual and rewarding though. If I get a bad item and therefore no items in return, I'm in dead waters because I have nothing else useful lol.

But it was simple and straightforward. For a passive game like this, it's fun!

Adventure Bag by Raphiell 2019-10-20T04:04:45Z

I don't know how to delete comments, but here I changed the one above because I mistakenly posted it based of a review of a next game. (I have a list up)

I guess I see where you're going with this. Alchemy was very limited though. But the concept of 4 elements was similar.

Never Ending Entropy by CodeKoto 2019-10-26T20:14:14Z

Amazing game! Originally, upon first launch, it lagged so badly I was near quitting playing because "I'm not putting myself through this!"

However, after relaunching with the integrated graphics processor instead of the GPU, all was good, and amazing was game!

I'm surprised this hasn't gotten much votes! This game is well made! Rarely a bug found, graphics amazing, objectives clear, amazing story, nice twist at the end though. My max complexity at the end was 1400, then I got poofed

Get Rid of Your Pants (or Die With It) by Saering 2019-10-08T18:30:19Z

Yeah I don't understand this game..maybe I'm dumb. I keep dying at the lasers, sometimes I have items, and it automatically spills them. Other times I just die. And it's too hard emptying the entire inventory in time with enemies a level scroll deathwall, and millions of items to press, while aiming with mouse, and moving with wasd.

This game requires some high level skills that I quite don't have yet

But amazing graphics and sfx! Reminds me of mine, but...just better aha

A_semblance by D1gital Cuts 2019-10-20T20:59:34Z

You complain about it being short because you spent all time on art...this is wayy beyond jam expectations! :open_mouth:

Spectacularly polished game, and the professional gameplay mechanics to go with it! I admit later levels became increasingly hard (timing jumps, pixel perfect) but alas, I assembled in the end and won! (the game exited)

Nice entry!

S͟t͟a͟r͟t͟ With Nothing by Coldsanwdich189 2019-10-18T16:57:19Z

Okayyy. I spent wayyy too long on level 1 trying the ut-most. Was about rage quit like a sore loser because Nothing becomes Something and Start does nothing. Then I mistakenly pressed F while in positions and "Next Level" appeared.

Not gonna lie, I also thought it was a prototype of a game until I read the comments seeing that there are levels.

Suffice to say, I've now beaten all levels and I feel like a big brain champion! #never_give_up :sunglasses:

Really like how you use finally put use to that Start word lol.

The music is okay though, sucks that you left out that category

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-23T04:13:58Z

Let's say, I appeased the quadopus at the end  The constant boss battle after boss battle must have been tough to handle, as they each have different events when at differing healths. The Quadopus eating them at each's end was hilarious though xD

While the art is inconsistent (some objects really detailed- player; some objects plain and simple-platforms) and the music was questionable to the ear, I still enjoyed the throwing pickaxes everywhere lol.

Short but nice! :thumbsup_tone4:

BlockRockin' by Iori Branford 2019-10-08T04:29:39Z

A simple game I must say. My biggest complaint is it's unfair slide over time lol. It'll accelerate too quickly the other direction and never give me time to build back. Even when I place blocks evenly in both directions though, it still has a bias to one side, which gives me reason to believe different coloured blocks have different weights. That's definitely a cool idea. If I'd know what colour comes next (like tetris), as well as learn the colours and weights, I could more plan how I place the blocks. I keep trying to beat your highscore of 61 in the video but I can't even get past 50  BlockRockinHighscore.JPG

Shigechi's assembly by Gamers Blood Entertainment 2019-10-11T17:48:03Z

Cool game! Quite a lot of looking around and getting lost lol. It was very limited with only 4 inventory slots. But I guess it adds to the challenge! :D

Tagatorni by lilou_cormic 2019-10-20T04:59:29Z

Just by your GIF, I like this game already!

Playing it now, it's faily easy. I just place 4 enemies at angles and 2 rockets on each level, everything is cleared!

Artwise, amazing! Mechanics, clean! My only problem is that it becomes repetitive afterwards, but looking at the future plans, I'm happy with what's coming!

@me when you make those changes, I want to play that version!

Substructure by Mateusz Wojtkowski 2019-10-20T00:38:01Z

I kept trying to click continue in a confused manner, and then remembered you say its short :^D

But you just started Unity and this is so good!

That's what Ludum Dare is all about! Well done!

The items, that change everything by Dock Frankenstein 2019-10-20T06:25:36Z

Oh damn! These items really did change everything.

I like how many interactions were allowed in this simple game. Rotating the stick many a ways was fun lol. Though I'm not not if the direction mattered, for the glow.

But I felt like I hit a big brain moment when I decided to clap twice. (That was **hilarious** :joy: )

LD45 | Scrap from Nothing by Linkouille 2019-10-08T17:47:32Z

How do I download the game? I'm only seeing a link of it's source online, but no way to download.

LD45 | Scrap from Nothing by Linkouille 2019-10-08T18:15:02Z

Okay, I got to play it. It is a bit limiting as I need to play wiht someone else in order to enjoy the game, other than playing with a bot. But cool system.

The only thing I did not like was multiple objects clumped together forcing me to get rid of the one stuck to me before getting the other. A bug, in Phase 2 before the countdown to fight, I can still shoot and destroy the other player before any of us have time to move.

Finished Raccoon Bikini Game by D5R 2019-10-18T02:38:11Z

Neat game! Time went by so quickly, I didn't even notice when I got to the credits level

I would suggest a tick or star (or something) on levels I've already completed, but still well done. The unique art- even on the title screen with the raccoon looking into the store; it's well dine all over. The music never even gets annoying either. Nice entry!

Quest about... Nothing? by NinjaCatz 2019-10-20T00:10:00Z

Nice stories lol. Good how both characters were sort of linked together. Why is it advisable to delete the data, by the way?

Faze by Xenoxygene 2019-10-12T01:39:56Z

I really like ther idea for this, starting from nothing, and creating a world. The art is simplistic and nice, and the music was soothing...until...it began lagging (but still *playable*) when the world got bigger. Then, at the end when I collected the acorn...I got a black screen..and this:  Capture5.JPG

*****

In the end, I downloaded it and tried it over. The bare minimum lag was experienced this time, there were no music glitches either, and I got this! :sunglasses: Capture7.JPG

バクラウBloodless by Danilo Freire 2019-10-23T05:04:40Z

:relieved: :ok_hand_tone4:  Capture56.JPG

It took **FOREVERRR** for me to learn how to time their attacks on the first level

But alas I did!

I'm really glad you did not make me start all the way over when I die on a higher level. And the hearts occasionally too, did compensate!

I started off confused about this game, but now I really love it lol.

I would say though, the Shogun was pretty easy to defeat. Dashing as a way to dodge their attack, I was able to just keep dashing until I saw him use a white sword, then I just timed it the second time, and he was done for. Maybe give him 2 lives? (he pulls out another white sword when you disarm the first, and also uses a different attack progression?) Just my suggestions, because I enjoyed this lol

Dungeon of Souls by GullynGames 2019-10-23T04:37:18Z

From one HTML5 Pure Javascript Game Programmer to another, a job well done! It was definitely hard making my own engine while doing the Ludum Dare

To the game, it's really cool you were able to make it into a dungeon-like. Although the trick simply became "circle them and shoot"

Big question though...

How do you do rotations! :open_mouth: Are you using images, or HTML5's built in drawRect to your advantage?

Regardless, nice game! (And that's NOT because of my bias since you made it with plain JS :eyes:)

Dungeon of Souls by GullynGames 2019-10-24T03:27:23Z

@niborious UNPUREEEE!   Although, going into the Ludum Dare I did promise myself to learn a pre-existing engine for my next game; but heck by the end I was so proud of my own, I'm gonna keep working on the spaghetti code that is the game I've made :joy:

I had initially googled it, and all the translate and restore stuff brought a bad taste to me from a previous tutorial attempt (the player would rotate, but the axis would be skewed), so it'd also move off screen

However, after looking at the source code from @gullyngames's game :eyes: I understood the actual process; I originally thought I would have had to draw a rotated image on an empty invisible canvas, then send the pixeldata to the main canvas to be displayed..which deterred me, since I'm not sure if that'll slow down or speed up rendering (constantly sending new pixel datas)

Now though, after creating my own vcam and rendering system, I think I know a way to easily incorporate rotations into my game, which I'll definitely use for future updates. The only question now, is if all those *save, translate, rotate, restore* calls would slow down the game or not.

adventure again by gamefive 2019-10-22T22:56:05Z

Small screen but neat gameplay though! Adventure again

Nully by Joshua Young 2019-10-08T03:51:42Z

Okay, so first, this music slaps! First impression, the moving around without much context was a thing. Uhhh do I jump? Do I run? Nope and nope? Alright let's just explore. Oh I have legs now...I like where this is going. For the first Boss I automatically died at the start and maybe thought I missed a few upgrades, but out of curiousness I tried to survive as long as possible (and also found out I can collect my upgrades again, that's when I got the ability to shoot) Fun game overall, brought a whole **WOAH** to me when I was able to bounce back instead of letting the metaphysical monstrosities that are haunting my dreams electro-swing all over me. Short but fun! *Edit*: I'm back because I almost forgot to vote!

Nothing Ground Down Nothing by Vilja 2019-10-19T23:48:04Z

This is a really amazing puzzle! Actually one I was able to think and complete lol. You don't have to be born beautiful to be attractive :^)

triangle game by DaniDev 2019-10-12T03:22:33Z

Neat game Dani! It's very fun and balanced to play though.

Besides, Ludum Dare is all about getting out of your comfort zone and learning new things! Some years in the future you'll have lots of big brain moments where these things become easy to create something bigger!

The music catchy, triangles very easy to control, only thing I would say is the coin hitbox is small.

But you've put harshh barriers on yourself lol. (And I understand that too, because of youtube fame and expectations)

But for 24hrs, this is fairly well done...inspiring me to learn those map generation stuff cause that'd come in handy for my game lol. But I told myself I'd go work on other things now! ;3

You should go rate other peeople's game btw :^D There are fun stuff out there

@ausstein take win lol.

Bluebirds by hwaet 2019-10-11T18:55:05Z

Quick and simple. I rebuilt myself! :3

One thing that confused me was if I collect the blue or not. Maybe a mnimal sound effect? It did take me a while to realise red was bad though, I just saw more colours and though "Oooo a colourful bird"

I'd love to see more of this: building a family next? Feeding them? Collecting worms/corn? Pick pixels? Who knows!

Nice submission!

Robogon by OgelGames 2019-10-20T06:09:44Z

Well, I did build a robot. It's hilarious that I'm able to destroy myself though

I see the limitations of the Game Jam, as you were unable to add other robots. But nice concept!

We Got Nothin' !!! by Trevor Shoe 2019-10-17T17:26:01Z

That was short hilarious and funny xD I was able to juke the police a couple times though. But I enjoyed it

Roman & Ownin' by mharring 2019-10-17T23:56:13Z

Not bad for my first attempt:

Capture20.JPG

I really like this game because it is similar to mine: (top down and quick paced) art and music catchy as well! FOR ROME!

VoidTech by loganthemanster 2019-10-08T17:27:43Z

Uhm. It feels incomplete, just as I was getting deeper into its lore and went to bed mistakenly, it ended. Nice mystery in only 3 days though. The graphics are nice and I love the details to the sound effects. Nice game!

Joe Mama by TobyChadderton 2019-10-08T17:33:59Z

I can't playu the game. Have the same error that @hellper has. Please @ me when you update the game. It looks fun!

TidePool by Rebecca Harrison 2019-10-08T17:56:36Z

Grapphics are nice, cute crab, and smooth music. As for gameplay, I find the physics everywhere amazing. Yet, it did make me dizzy overtime so I had to inevitably exist before carrying all the items up to the pillar :sob:

HONK by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2019-10-20T23:36:36Z

Well this game was very intense and quick paced, a major challenger against mine

Amazing you got this done in 72 hours! :astonished:

Crazy Kindom by Alexey Kochanov 2019-10-08T17:14:03Z

I do not know the criteria for winning or losing. Because sometimes all my numbers are high, yet I still lose because I've gotten drunk in power. Really cool game none-theless, it took a while getting used to all the different species differences.

Trick or Retreat by Lone_Wolf 2019-10-08T04:09:21Z

Yo that was intense! I got 50+ and had to dodge left and right on instinct! Slipped up and got caught though :joy: **Nice game!** My highscore is 107. Can you beat it? trickorretreathighscore.PNG

Ooze for the Ooze Gods by maxdmg 2019-10-22T18:42:24Z

The gameplay is straightforward. The sound that it lacks has it missing quite an impact. But game enjoyed lol.

Not Even A Jump Yet by Nikita Demidov 2019-10-12T01:21:34Z

Okay, so your game started off pretty basic and halfway through, frustrating.

Then I got all these abilities and....even Tom is shocked  *watchu mean only?!??*

I enjoyed this game overtime, the **BOSS** battle did have me shrieking at first lol. But now, I'm a pro :sunglasses:

An excuse for a game by umsee 2019-10-18T15:29:27Z

I don't know where you were going with this, but hey it's good that you got something started at least! If you're still motivated, maybe you can expand on this and add fireworks? `:sob: :sob:`

Sluggish Grind by Catusfelony 2019-10-17T18:25:00Z

@corentin-benoit-gonin wym? The enemies die in one shot aha. It was amaing flying everywhere with the gun knock-back power though. Neat and simple, but well enjoyed!

Life Starts With Nothing by NoobDev 2019-10-20T06:46:56Z

I enjoyed this; Cause games help take out steam, not make you violent :^)

Gotta say, took me a while to get used to the quick paced skills needed for this. I ended with about 5000 coins in the end though...much more than I've ever earned irl so far

Spooky: The one who lost everything by Susumu Asaga 2019-10-22T22:32:02Z

You had me grinning with each level of this game. I love how everything is balanced and the possess mechanics, along with the artsyle and level criteria. A puzzle/strategy as well!

I finished the level short when I took the shortcut; read the DevLog, but played over to explore the level because I thought there was more afterwards. But after it all, i returned to the same room

The only thing I whined about was how tapping the key would have the ghost sliding a bit. I could not simply be pixel perfect with timing precision, I had to accommodate for my drag as well when dodging everything :joy: But it was a simply perfect game for me. No complains otherwise, 5 stars

Sandbox CTF by Honey Pony 2019-10-17T19:43:38Z

Interesting concept and collection of genres. Mining, capture the flag, crafting. I love the crafting system especially, how the crafting works. Although I want to ask how it'd be played with users without a scroll wheel?

The music is a bit too loud when jumping and mining certain blocks. Nice creation in such limited time though! While there were bugs and I fell out of the world, the main concepts were configured well.

DREAMS by Ferdi 2019-10-20T03:04:30Z

Woah! Thanks for making!

There was so many things to do, even gravity affections; every dream seemed different.

Really sad though, it seems like everyone else dreamt of nothing

Capture43.JPG

Hellion: The Legend of Jeff by Mad Brokli 2019-10-11T14:56:33Z

The balance scale is quite touch with turrets taking more souls than they bring in. I was better off starting over and harvesting everything myself...then I died because I can't attack upwards. Addicting game nonetheless, you sure had me playing for about 30 minutes

Shadow Walker by SheepDog123 2019-10-22T23:43:11Z

Damn that fog of war! :ok_hand_tone4:

I love how each adventure is generated differently, and when you die, the fog shifts just beyond your killer briefly so you can tune how far to overcome.

The jump and animation is simple and good. I'd argue that the hitbox caused me to hover over air slightly without falling, but I'm not one to complain!

Good game!

Finding fun by ZMVL 2019-10-20T06:51:16Z

Short but hilarious.

Really was hyped up for that martial arts, studying the controls indebt...then saw me opponent; thinking "Aite imma head out"...then the player goes "Alright, let me get outta here"

Simple game for the theme though. Nice.

Sand&Sea by CaptAndrey 2019-10-22T21:54:07Z

Had to use some life hacks here!

Capture53.JPG

Calming music and great strategy sanding.

One thing: I never used the right click to place sand, I forgot it was an option lol...so you may want to create an incentive to use that control; either if it's to post 'creations' in the comments, or maybe more points? Or maybe those humps of sand ward off waves as well? I've never used it to see, and was able to win in the end.

War with Nothing by karrar home student 2019-10-20T05:24:27Z

Well, I found out clearly quickly the objective

You did not finish, so I hope next time you're able to make something within your scope of completion!

Though I must say, I ran out of health and still was able to proceed to the other level :stuck_out_tongue:

But keep at it! The art in some areas were more polished than others, but basic collision was accomplished, as well as a minimal objective. (I did try to run around to avoid the bullets)

Cyber Tails by ChivaTateo 2019-10-11T18:47:18Z

Okay. Very simplistic and fast paced. Sometimes its really hard trying to break those blue guy's ankles..in the end I resulted to spam clicking to win aha.

If you could make it slower, and add a click timer, it'd become more challenging, beyond just spam clicks!

Soul Avenger by Kaizo 2019-10-22T22:31:11Z

Lol. I beat the most fearsome monster and took my revenge. >:D

The attack collision is buggy. When I'm on the left of them, I need to get *into* them for the attack. But when I'm on the right of them, I can attack them even when I'm not touching.

Nice use of screen teleport at the far sides of the map though; it's almost seamless. But I did use it to my advantage since enemies do not teleport as well. I bait them away from the chests boxes by going to the other side, so when they've chased me all the way over there, swap back and collect the chests before they reach back on the other side

Nice game!

Oh, It's Nothing by Ein 2019-10-18T02:15:19Z

Oh. It's nothing!??? It's amazing that's what!

Simple yet wonderful. And something as subtle ans moving text made it even more awesome!

I went wild on the third part, just reading the story then onward

ECHO by GameSup 1st year promo 2019-10-20T00:22:54Z

So I inevitably got stuck :grimacing: How do I restart? Capture36.JPG

Sort of repetitive overtime, but hey it's a finished game for Ludum Dare! Hope your team are able to learn from these struggles, if you find yourself in a jam another day!

Fruits are all by Oscar Henrique 2019-10-18T05:10:15Z

Short but fun game. No audio is the downside.

The graphics while square-y are really amazing! I like how you worked with windows to show text, I guess it's you exploring a new engine for this Ludum Dare, or ran out of time, but congrats! Those fruits drop in heaps though so I'm glad there was a fun run around aspect, instead of waiting years to get to 500!

Alone by Fragment Games 2019-10-11T14:08:45Z

Brooo. There was alot of dying over and over trying to find more puddles of water. *surprised the water ain't dried up  *

But alas, I was able to survive the desert! Art is neat. Music is simple. Congratulations on your first jam!

Gun Fury by Gehad 2019-10-18T03:05:38Z

It surprisingly lagged a lot with its minimal graphics. But gameplay-wise it was fun to play. I really love how he spins when he melees them for their weapons.

One thing I'd wish for was an over-time health regeneration, as well as more weapons :3 But game enjoyed!

Rekindling Of Iron by HKSpadez 2019-10-23T01:30:01Z

From a noobie's perspective: the 2 hits and you're out at the start kept me losing and having to start all over. Even when I finally was able to get the torch, I got hit once, and had to start everything over. What doesn't help is also the movement. There's a slight delay when you press to when the player moves.

I must say though, those beams are smart. Being able to predict where I was running, and shoot there, instead of me. I kept dying over and over without any potions though, so I was denied the ability to explore the game more.

I like the style and art of the game though, and the eerie music with it. Gameplay-wise, I just wish I could play without that delay/lag? (can't be lag because I set my graphics to the lowest)

Rekindling Of Iron by HKSpadez 2019-10-23T03:46:22Z

I'll play the game once more with the new information.

SYNTHMAN by Feingehacktes 2019-10-11T13:15:07Z

Okay. Really cool game I would say. Fairly simple to say the least. I was able to randomly walk around rocking with Synth and avoiding rats by breaking their ankles. In the end noticed a train and started heading for it. At the beginning though at the start, the lights go out almost instantly when I planned on exploring so I had to quit and restart a couple times and instantly move down, before I was able to see the synthesizer and collect it. From there everything else was straightforward.

I really like the idea though!

Slime Slasher by Afamuefuna 2019-10-08T16:40:30Z

Well the game does not work on the web version...as for the windows, it takes a bit of getting used to, but fun I guess. When I unlock enemy colours they spawn too quickly for me to get time to do anything lol. Was good with 5 health until they ganged me and slaughtered me.

Empty Stomach, Empty Toilet by Idontknow 2019-10-08T16:20:48Z

Lol. It took me a while of confusion of the game not working to realise and coincidentally read somewhere P to play. You should make it a text on the start so users can see it faster? Also, I got stuck in 1 unit walls often lol. A quick fix would be to make all 1 unit walls 2 units thick. Other than that, I'd have 20 seconds left and BRBRBRBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR i pooped myself  Neat game though. A couple glitches and fly-through-walls-later, I got all 5 foods and saved the world! :D Capture2.JPG

Big Brain Boy: An Intellectual Odyssey (now with GALAXY EDITION) by Alex Weiser 2019-10-08T16:57:49Z

Prison Escape by shaurya_juneja 2019-10-22T20:12:39Z

This game was super duper hard! To the point I thought it was not meant to be beatable :^D

Until I realized I could double jump  Capture52.JPG Is this your first game, as well as JAM?

The graphics are very inconsistent. Maybe you made them, or just used graphics here there and everywhere. Some are overly detailed, others are simplistic. They fight against each other that way. Spikes everywhere :joy:

The music/sound effects are hilariously bugged. When I fall, I hear a jump sound. When I land or run, I hear a drop sound. And that death sound had me laughing

But all in all it was a game that looked like effort was put into it, so I like it. Nice Ludum Dare game!

Prison Escape by shaurya_juneja 2019-10-23T05:09:02Z

You're welcome! And welcome to Ludum Dare, as well as game development! Look forward to future LDs. I appreciate any feedback on my game as well  :eyes: If not that's fine too, go fix those bugs!

You Broke the Game by OlegKlishin 2019-10-18T21:37:29Z

Really difficult game. But well polished....(I rage quitted in the end #sore_loser)

Music is well done, graphics is amazing. Mechanics...for the elite gamers.

because we have nothing, so we need to choose what to get. by iAmberF 2019-10-25T15:51:52Z

Very relaxing game! The art (while 2 colours) is so sophisticated! And the calm music too! It's a read-able short, but has a lesson to give and story to tell! I tried all options to see the different outcomes in life

Lovely game!

Congratulations on your first Ludum Dare!

Robo-Parto by Vaibho 2019-10-11T16:18:03Z

Why didn't they tell him that his brain had a bomb! >:[=

Well, maybe they did, but he didn't understand anyway (because he has no brain :joy: )

The sound effects are hilarious xD especially collecting oil. The artstyle is weird. Not the best sprites but smooth and cool animations.

Too bad I took Nothing, and turned him into nothing though

Congratulations on your first JAM!

NULL Tower by Scaelin 2019-10-23T02:08:27Z

So I'll point out the obvious stuff in this: 1. I wish there were heal collectibles in some towers just as there was for the jump and bow. 2. Maybe more arrows? :grimacing: Mines got stuck on the horizontal of 3x1 horizonal towers, so there was no way to wall jump to get them back.

Onto the importants

That tower drop mechanic is hilarious! The music along with it is rad lol! I love how you designed the towers too so there's always a way to climb higher.

Maybe a score of how high and a leaderboard would add to the competition and satisfaction of getting however high you're able to get.

I was able to reach the clouds: Capture55.JPG

Fade of Life by Sheepolution 2020-04-28T08:28:56Z

Really cool effect with how the window closes itself after you lose. Simple game but beatable. And nice twist at teh end with that smirk.

Intense music though I must say!

Busy Bee Business by HuvaaKoodia 2020-04-26T02:43:54Z

My highscore is 24.

This was calming, and when you got the hang of it, really easy to control. The endlessness to it exhausted me overtime because I became slower. But it was a nice experience!

Trizzy Bee by niborious 2020-04-25T00:52:22Z

Really cool! The art style (while 3D) was pixelated, AND FAST! so that did bring me to "awe"

Guardian of the Flame by Mathstr0fficial 2020-04-25T00:33:26Z

For some reason, the game seems to be unresponsive to key presses when the audio plays. Before, you can move fine, but afterwards, when the audio plays, the presses do not work. And you also die with game over with 2 hearts left.

Other than that, the art is fine and I understand the objective!

For Ducks' Sake by GaryS 2020-04-30T20:54:54Z

Justly fit game! Every category was pretty much filled out for me! Well done!

Even though it was short and repetitive over time, it was fun and enjoyable. "Hehehe" *BLERGGH!* :joy:

A Tale of Freedom by sohakes 2020-04-25T02:31:29Z

It would have been much more fun to play if the dialogues were skippable. Dying while in the house but near the wall so the hitbox touches you, to then spend the next minute re-listening to "whistpsioehsopshpshssptisshpitsh" kinda frustrates you.

But if you add skippable dialogues, do @ me. I'd love to be able to play it again!

Tablet Force by AdamV 2020-04-26T00:22:50Z

Nice! I restored life support and completed the mission. Solid game!

One thing though, on the last level you can walk through the walls in the long hall lol. Glad I didn't get stuck and had to start all over though. I finished the level in all fairness.

Miscen...AGAIN!? by itsdanidre 2020-04-21T17:50:37Z

@nikita-demidov [You need to keep x alive before something dies "Keep alive"] I guess I failed at making that obvious

Are you sure there's no audio? There are like 4 different clips throughout the game. As well as a notifier that is seen when you solve it. I'll have to check it out when I get home.

@nai Thanks! :3

Miscen...AGAIN!? by itsdanidre 2020-04-24T22:21:29Z

@lone-wolf thanks! I'll have to work on making riddles easier then.

@nnnikki huh? I verified on my website and it seems to load for me. Are you using Chrome? Thank you for your comments on riddles. I should indeed seek to making them simpler.

@edugpinheiro Thanks for playing! Oh, but indeed! The timer only begins when you get to the riddle part, so if you're meaning something else, please let me know, maybe I am misunderstanding.

I also agree with the keyboard to mouse switch. I will add a key "Press any Key to continue" or something, to the menu screen. Thanks for the suggestion!

@subtlydramatic indeed! :joy: my cat inspired this game!

@thedouche thanks for playing! Do you have any suggestions as to how I can make it easier to understand? Maybe on the "How to Play" screen I can include "Press e to guess objects. If it's wrong, you lose 10 seconds. Guess before timer runs out to win"?

@ordineu  the chairs were the most fun to add, because I indeed wanted that excitement of which one to choose! But alas, you would be penalized for guessing wrong, but not a deadly one lol...I will explain that more in the "How to Play" screen. Thanks for the suggestions!

*****

Thanks for playing everyone!

Give me some time, I'll get to your games now!

Miscen...AGAIN!? by itsdanidre 2020-04-25T03:21:06Z

@adamv thanks for playing! And thanks for the suggestion. I'll include "go to the spaces on the edges to enter another room" in the "How to Play", as well as an image of the rooms outline to this website.

@iamscissors It was quite simple but I'm glad I was able to make it seem complete. I thank @rbatistadelima for the great art and detail. Thanks for playing!

@paul-nadan Thanks for playing! We tried a lot to create possible riddles, although some say that the riddles are quite hard  so hopefully there is a balance to be found.

@grentacular the excitement was trying to guess "which chair" :joy: but I agree, it does have a nerve wrecking effect especially when running out of time. Also, thanksfor pointing out the bug on the objects. Prevent them from being pressed twice. I thought I had that already but I forgot to uncomment an if statement :stuck_out_tongue: Thanks for playing!

Miscen...AGAIN!? by itsdanidre 2020-04-26T00:03:14Z

@tatawanda I'm glad you enjoyed the game. I didn't get to finish it, but I am satisfied with the results. Thanks for playing

@thermacon I tried my best to get all to somehow with with the theme: Keep plants alive, keep relationship alive, keep cat alive etc :joy: As for exploring, I agree it was something to explore and find, which is why I added a picture of the house's outline in the descriptions above, in hopes it'd give insight.

@blobo  I tried adding both easy and hard riddles to find that balance. It seems like maybe you got the unlucky ones. Regardless, thanks for playing!

@savvu Thanks for playing! It was indeed a new thing for me, so I'm glad it kinda worked out!

@jsmailes  I agree with some of the riddles. And yes, the music is amazing! Thanks for playing!

@raomer Thanks for playing! You understood what we tried to portray in this game so I'm glad the delivery was a success!

@moi93101 woah! I'll check out your game soon!

@huvaakoodia Thanks for the review! Hmm, that's new with the cropped text; I've never experienced that before (during testing or extensive play) I had originally planned for an ending but ran out of time so I just made it loop  Thanks for playing!

Miscen...AGAIN!? by itsdanidre 2020-04-26T10:18:03Z

Ahh. Firefox. I've only tested on Chrome (hence the url name lol)

Thank you for the insight. I will look into fixing the spell checks of the text...lol @huvaakoodia

Miscen...AGAIN!? by itsdanidre 2020-05-06T10:15:12Z

@quadape thanks for the play Quad! I agree with the first time layouts though...I thought adding the image layout to the description page here would suffice. I guess not

As for the riddle, you can open and close it repeatedly using R, so the challenge is to decipher the code as well as make random guesses at objects. Again, thanks for playing!

Job-Changing Janitor Fights Off Zombies And Tries To Save Patients At A Hospital by Grentacular 2020-04-26T02:20:06Z

Okay that's some epic music. With good strategy you could live for a while, but overtime it became too hard. I didn't even notice when my shot gunners died off, was so busy only healing. (after putting the mop traps)

Enjoyed it though, was playing for a while. Though I would say the endless does become...well you get tired of it soon as there's no clear objective. I wish you could maybe end it after a time. Like 12AM to 5AM or something.

Ballad of the Bard by Filip Bergkvist 2020-04-25T02:32:39Z

Cool game. It got really hard after chapter 5. And somehow losing on chapter 6 brought me back to 5. Plus, it got hard to “pick up” the hammer.

Life of the Party by OrdiNeu 2020-04-25T01:37:19Z

Woah! Hectic! Especially getting drunk lol! Nice game!

Keep "It" alive by LoicLeGrosFrere 2020-04-26T02:27:57Z

Ohh! Cool hiding game!

Lots of eye candy that's your map too! I had time at the start to explore (when he was inside) so he was always findable over and over...lol.

Save The President by elq 2020-04-25T01:12:32Z

Wow! HAHA PRESIDENT!

Not gonna lie, that ending was unexpected! And who is your artist man!? They've sure got some talen! @AXLplosion

Nice game idea, and nice game! The only caveat is the smaller text but everything came off solid and well done! Nice!

Beware the Dark by Lone_Wolf 2020-04-25T03:05:48Z

Congratulations on your first Ludum Dare Compo! And I love how you've improved (comparing this to last LD)

I beat it easily on Hard mode :sunglasses:

I enjoyed it overall, the music was cool, the art cool, the theme was *kinda* used (if you die you lose, basically, so keep alive to win) The woods were spoooopy :ghost:

I enjoyed it!

Alien Convoy by Willian Oliva 2020-04-25T03:14:11Z

That was some really cool graphics! It was really hard staying alive because in an attempt to stop them from hitting the truck, I'd run into their bullets :joy:

They are corrupted by Nikita Demidov 2020-04-26T02:45:17Z

Cool story. It was hard to get a pacifist so I shift+Td in the end. But it was fun slaughtering them all at the start before I realized...I was the corrupted one

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Hope/Remember by arzi 2020-10-27T15:55:30Z

I think it's been summed up quite a lot. It's unfortunate when you have to replay the entire week for one mistake. Though it was fun uncovering things and repeating. I gave up at the end after about 30 minutes of playing, so I just read the walkthrough instead haha. (edit, I was really close to that ending, wow, nice game!)

Limbo Library by Herman Chau 2020-10-11T02:51:27Z

That's a full 5 everywhere for me, alas! :joy:

After figuring out the first way what to do, I finally understand what strategies to use (save money and camp in a spot till time runs out to avoid risking dying) and thus the second time around was better.

I got really spooked when I stumbled upon the boss, but the story it gave instead was wholesome.

Too bad I thought I won and stopped moving to listen to it, and the trailing ghost got to me

Game Over

Emile's Journey by qui 2020-10-22T18:16:16Z

A really cool adventure, and fascinating loop idea :open_mouth:

I think it was pretty straightforward, but the flow of everything, background musics, and visual effects throughout definitely made it pop out. Even the subtle constant rolling again when it seems to be "slowing down" just shows how much effort went into this. And as a game dev also, I'm just fascinated by how this was made

Loop Frogs by GaryS 2020-10-12T02:03:17Z

Was a really fun game. Only thing that got to me was it freezing sometimes and making my yellow frog rush into fires when I need to be very precise and careful, but maybe that was a problem on my end (with my over-heated PC)

I was really laughing with their wails when they died also :joy:

Rogot Slide [Prototype] by itsdanidre 2020-10-12T13:48:20Z

Thanks for playing guys! I'll get to each of you with responses:

@smoothie Thanks  that was one of the main aspects of the game; win game or go poof.

*****

@tino I agree, it's quite the dynamic game, thanks for playing!

*****

@melhem-fares I'm also not a fan of puzzle games, but on Newgrounds, they seem to get the most attention, so I told myself that one day, I wanted to make a puzzle game, finally!

*****

@cargamoni thanks for playing, I will!

*****

@arzi , @bassguitarbill , @yhy-games thanks for playing! The graphics were very limited and last-minute created, so I'm really glad it worked out!

*****

@katherine-stark @ryan-hallmann @no-grapes-games @greytyphoon thanks for playing! Yes, I really see this as a mobile game with it's 1 button click for everything.

I appreciate your nitpick @greytyphoon. For what it's worth, the general idea of the game came to me on the first day I did the jam, and after I added those things, I just focused on polishing everything (it was really big brained to construct these puzzle levels after all) So it became "here's a list of features that will be in the game, introduced at later levels, when the prototype has become the full game.

Thanks for playing guys! I'll get to your games now

Run Hamster Run! by LillyByte 2020-10-10T23:06:44Z

Very simple idea and you polished on it. Art and everything ended up working too, as minimal as it was.

Loop City by bassguitarbill 2020-10-25T08:09:46Z

I'm being an echo of everyone else here but, the graphics are really cool as well as the loopey part of it. The controls however are quite hard, especially at greater speeds. And then when you crash, you're stuck for quite the bit.

There were mini noticings like how falling in water; it did it's best putting you back on land, or sometimes getting stuck in the portal loops. But the slowing down of the grass and money features do show how much work went into this game. Thank you for making.

Pizza Parkour by Luther-1 2020-10-27T15:10:06Z

The music really slaps in this one. The concept is really great too, props to making it a 2.5D, with the ability to jump onto higher platforms. Sad you were unable to finish many things.

Among Stars and Robots by jaoel 2020-10-24T17:26:32Z

Can I begin by saying...I just spent the first 5 minutes on the start screen listening to this music, just taking me away ~~ :open_mouth:

I really like the intro, the instructions were minimal but really intuitive. First 2 levels held my hands dearly with their small and simple designs, and then the 3rd level went **BOOM** :joy: but I did solve it after all. The music is still mind-taking.

Level 4 was kinda trolley because of how many there were (I thought I had to get all ) so I was surprised that I couldn't make sequences for all 16 combinations chronologically since it ran out of space and there was no scroll; maybe I had to work backwards, so I'd just try one way first and...oh I only needed to hit one portal

One minor thing I'd say is to put the amount of sequences allowed as a number so we won't have to figure it out. But it's really minor. It was 2 once, 16 once, and the rest are either 4 or 3, easily discoverable.

Some levels witht eh wifi router icon were really easy to pass since I just put a "move forward; router/check; rotate" and put it on x3 speed and the robot'll navigate its way around chaotically until alas it arrived.

The difficulties in these puzzles really escalated but the sound effects and calming music kept me at em.

I don't think there was an end to it, but I completed all levels, and greatly enjoyed!

Amusement Shark by No Grapes Games 2020-10-10T23:54:24Z

Final time was 4 minutes, 30 seconds about.

The screams were fun!

At first I thought it was going to be a novel based game, that's how good the intro was.

Loop City by Fupi 2020-10-25T08:23:23Z

Wow, this was so fun! And so many features. Quests, farming, looping, purchasing, timing, mixing...this takes the cake, and the bouncy art was also awesome (as well as the mini stories between the two, haha)

The Game Designer Cycle by melhem_fares 2020-10-24T18:09:48Z

Despite being really simple, the art was really likeable and the music wasn't at all annoying (you could hear the Bosca Ceoil in it; if that's what you used )

I've always struggled with making idle clickers, so nice game!

TIME TO DANCE! by Savvy Community 2020-10-11T00:07:57Z

Really fun bopping to the musics!

Hope someone sees my dances.

P.S., The *Free* and *Party* buttons are disabled on my screen.

TIME TO DANCE! by Savvy Community 2020-10-12T02:05:16Z

@savvy-community my in-game pseudo is "Danidre"

Once I finish the introduction? Is there an end? Every time I finish it seemingly, it carried me back to the option of choosing my own dance moves, and then I had to choose between AI and human again, then another set of dance moves, then choose between AI and human again over and over. I thought that was the loop, as I kept making new moves, I thought that was it

I wonder if that was maybe a bug, I'll definitely have to play over the game some time.

The Titan's grave by BadPiggy 2020-10-22T17:58:13Z

Really simple idea, but the execution was well polished. The angle of everything and the decided movements restricted the gameplay but at least influenced the expected gamestyle as intended. The hardest part when when it was just the head alone, but after playing it on loop over and over, I finally found a strategy that allowed me to win.

If I was to add something, I would add jumping, but that would also require many more boss mechanics in return.

Cool game regardless! Love the 3D perspective!

Skycrawler by oneiromancer 2020-10-22T17:42:57Z

Really cool game. The controls were very intuitive at the start, and while at the start I was hesitant in every movement, later on I got comfortable diving long distances in really weird angles. The last battle with the "Boss" scared me because it glitched all over and sped around the map before vanishing the second time around :joy:

Load It by ryan hallmann 2020-10-25T21:51:39Z

That was honestly really cool, and so underrated woah! The story was really fun, and the back and forth felt like mini puzzles but were rewarding, I finally got to version 1.0000000...and I can see your obsession for groundhogs

I'm not sick!! by YHY_games 2020-10-25T15:01:53Z

Although the controls are...simple and easy to figure out, [Space to open mouth, hold left click to spit it out] it would have been optimal to include it in the description. It took two attempts to figure out what to do properly and how the mechanics works. Then the third attempt was smooth sailing...until I got like 100 and the scaling spawned 20 nurses around me all sniping at me from all angles, unable to restore health to catch them all.

Simple loop game and straightforward concept though. The music wasn't annoying, and the art was hilarious.

Chrono Drift by Katherine Stark 2020-10-24T18:25:42Z

Interesting loop. As others have mentioned, it was indeed difficult navigating with the acceleration; but I collected all in the end.
