The art and sounds were very nice, but I found I could only hurt the reapers sometimes. Also when walking left at the start the screen shakes and I cannot hurt the reaper at all.

kushimoto 2019-10-08 00:26

I think I am starting at the wrong level. I start right away at Death who I encounter when I move in either direction. I read your description and it says that I should be able to find a sword and armor, but I was not able to defeat Death nor was I able to find the treasure chest in the screenshot above. Perhaps you built the game with the scenes ordered incorrectly? I think this game has a lot of potential!

Hey guys! Thank you for the feedback, actually the "world" there is circular, you could go either side at the beginning, the reaper will also be invulnerable whenever its scythe is nearby (it will turn slightly blue), I don't know if that was the problem you faced earlier. Also, the reaper really is the first enemy you face, having some more gameplay afterwards.

Thanks for playing our game!

We finally could fix some game breaking bugs. Enjoy! Adding 64 bits version too.

sharbelfs 2019-10-11 12:59

nice game, the art is really good, for me it's just a little short, and for me if you increase the diffficult a little more game will be much better

coldsanwdich189 2019-10-11 13:03

nice game but found some bugs when interacting with chest but can't open it and sometimes after attacking the monsters, the monsters will freeze

jam373 2019-10-11 13:10

Cool game, love the boss art!

kaizo 2019-10-11 14:34

@coldsanwdich189 Thank you for feedback we are looking forward to polish combat soon.

shubart 2019-10-11 20:59

Nice art. You could improve your game just by making it quicker. Thank you for your game

Nice game! Graphics is very good, I like it! What I noticed is that when enemies attack you, they stop too far away, so your attacks do not reach them. You have to push yourself forward to them to make attacks actually work.

Also having a WebGL build would be nice.

I liked the game, I felt a sense of Dark Souls about you starting undead and becoming human, I really enjoyed the progress of the game, but the only thing that bothered me was the collider of the attacks didn't seem very pleasant. In short, I liked the game just some changes in the area of colliders and the game is perfect

ahistyap 2019-10-13 08:00

I had fun playing this game! Pretty satisfying combat, until I face the boss though. I couldn't beat the boss lol. Overall, pretty nice game!

paulsams 2019-10-14 01:03

It was fun. I liked the atmosphere of the game the most. And the battle is pleasant. In general, for 3 days a cool game, especially when only 2 people made it!

sprotex 2019-10-14 15:30

I enjoyed playing through this one. Combining 2 actions together doesn't feel snappy, but I guess that's forgivable. That said, it would make the game feel much better IMO.

A solid piece of work  I agree with other comments that WebGL build would be appreciated.

kaizo 2019-10-14 17:33

Thank you for all the comments ans reviews! We are looking forward to provide a WebGL version!

Was not able to unpack both archives. WebGL version is highly appreciated!

Pretty nice game with a decent concept, great art and good audio. The combat felt a bit unsatisfying and the dash didn't always trigger for me, but the combat got better with the upgrades found. Still, if it was a bit snappier and better to predict I would've enjoyed this much more. Overall, a really solid entry and foundation to build upon, good job!

What a fantastic game. Keep working on this! If you can get the gameplay mechanics tightened up it will be truly awesome!

madbarron 2019-10-16 01:42

The art is very nice, but the mechanics need a lot of work to be more responsive and predictable. Good start though, and cool concept!

eldskald 2019-10-16 01:55

Very thematic! I love the ideas, but the combat and progression were a bit weird. I never knew there was a dash option, and the character range felt too short. Except for the boss, all other mobs could out range you. The boss' range felt weird, I managed to beat him by just spamming Spacebar and he never hit me. Still, for a game jam with only 2 people, the graphics, animations and sound were solid. Great job!

mr-chocolatesalmon 2019-10-16 06:33

The art and theme were great! Some of the mechanics were a little weird though, the dash wasn't always responsive, opening chests doing do anything half the time, when walking too far to the left/right, sometimes everything would disappear (I assume it jumps you to the otherside), but then sometimes I managed to walk outside of the map into a blue background. But the idea was solid and it was fine for a game made in a couple days

mad-brokli 2019-10-16 10:23

The graphics looks very good dude, fun game to play. Great idea. The attacks were a bit unresponsive at times. They would miss when it was clearly a hit. But overall it was fun :)

zuf 2019-10-16 10:53

I like how you pushed the theme a bit more by also making the protagonist start without life. The combat was mostly just walking into the opponent and spamming attack. I found a way to defeat the final boss that seemed exploitative: using a sword, run into it and attack once, then immediately back off and wait until it stops flashing. Repeat.

baski 2019-10-18 08:22

A little buggy, but graphics are nice and gameplay is ok :) Overall good entry. Good luck.

itsdanidre 2019-10-22 22:31

Lol. I beat the most fearsome monster and took my revenge. >:D

The attack collision is buggy. When I'm on the left of them, I need to get *into* them for the attack. But when I'm on the right of them, I can attack them even when I'm not touching.

Nice use of screen teleport at the far sides of the map though; it's almost seamless. But I did use it to my advantage since enemies do not teleport as well. I bait them away from the chests boxes by going to the other side, so when they've chased me all the way over there, swap back and collect the chests before they reach back on the other side

Nice game!
