I tried playing for a good ten-minutes, and I wasn't really having fun. The music is good, and I love simple shapes with post-processing effects, so that's all fine. The problem is solely with the game play. It also really annoys me that when you dash, you dash towards the direction you're heading based on WASD, instead of dashing towards the cursor. All in all I can see you put a lot of effort in, but it's still very half-baked and needs a lot of features (don't worry the same is true for my game lol).
Bruuuhhh! This was great! The movement felt very satisfying, and getting a few fire rate upgrades and being able to unleash hell with the machine gun was lots of fun :D I really liked the visual style and the sound effects. The steady progress of more difficult enemies worked really nicely too. Great work!

Cool execution for a compo game, the music is awesome and hypes you up, but the gameplay is a bit dull in comparison. The major issue for me is the camera which too zoomed in the action, the room are too big and you can go through 10 rooms in a row without an enemy.
Oh hello Dani, nice seeing you here! :D The game was very binding of isaac-ish! Loved the music! But it seems like it was maybe too big of a scope? You have a solid foundation here tho, good job!

Love the neon theme to the game, gameplay feels nice to play! The dash was a little awkward to use sometimes, as I had to keep lining myself up with a box to dash through it, but asside from that a very solid game!

Hey Dani =D The music is great, and the particle effects are really well done. As mentioned above, the dash is quite strange, it would be more logical if it followed the mouse movement. I think the game has potential and it would be interesting if you continue to publish updates ! Nice work anyway.
This is a nice game. Dashing feels a little bit awkward, but it has a solid core. Smaller rooms would definitely be a big plus, as would more variety.
Neat game Dani! It's very fun and balanced to play though.
Besides, Ludum Dare is all about getting out of your comfort zone and learning new things! Some years in the future you'll have lots of big brain moments where these things become easy to create something bigger!
The music catchy, triangles very easy to control, only thing I would say is the coin hitbox is small.
But you've put harshh barriers on yourself lol. (And I understand that too, because of youtube fame and expectations)
But for 24hrs, this is fairly well done...inspiring me to learn those map generation stuff cause that'd come in handy for my game lol. But I told myself I'd go work on other things now! ;3
You should go rate other peeople's game btw :^D There are fun stuff out there

The controls are really smooth but dashing is kinda annoying as you dash in the way you are pointing and sometimes it gets in the way while fighting, Not so fair-N-square. The music goes well with the game especially while fighting as it makes the situation more tensed. Overall its good!
Great job! The game mechanic is impressive and I had fun opening chests for better weapons. The dashing is a bit confusing, can be better if player dashes in movement direction instead of dashing towards mouse.

Dude, it makes me sad that you broke every rule of the Compo... You submitted only half of your project (all scenes and other project files are missing), your github repo says, you submitted your code on October 10th (which is 4 days too late) AND you changed you dash after some comments showed up, which stated the dash was weird! Only bugfixing is allowed after the 48 hours, no gameplay change! You did not even mention this in the description! And you did not even rate games of other participants.
LD is about giving something to the gaming community. If you are not submitting your code or rate other peoples games, you're just doing half of Ludum Dare.
Nice game though...

Honestly this was very dull. The core combat wasn't interesting, there were no fun twists, it was just a standard twinstick shooter.
The visuals were neat and the effects were quite nice.
excellent game. good soundtrack, good playability. one negative point you can pick up a weaker weapon than the one that one deals and it is definitive

@xdude Heyo, didn't see this comment until now, sorry.
1. I might be in the wrong here, but this comment is pretty misleading. For starters, the rules clesrly state you need to upload source code, not project files. So no rules broken there as far as I understand.
2. When I first uploaded the source code, I did so via Google drive, I can send you the link which shows the date if you don't believe me. I just decided to put it on github later, as it's more accessible for people. I don't think there' a rule against that.
3. I did change the dash controls to make it more intuitive and easier to play. If changing one line of code to make the game more suitable for people is against the rules, I don't really have a problem with being disqualified. In my opinion that's worth it, as it made the game much more emjoyable.
And yes, I didn't rate any games. I don't quite like the Ludum Dare page layout, so I play and find most of the Ludum Dare games on Itch.
Ludum Dare is just meant to be a fun event, if I broke any rules, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. But at least I had fun during the event, and that's really what matters to me.
things are trying to kill me again and I'm not even sure what I did but luckily these gun chests are around and I can loot everything
