Fun, but challenging game. The only thing I would do is optimize it a bit because it lagged quite a bit sometimes

This was my favorite screensaver of all time growing up, so the nostalgia hit is real.

Sticking to the walls makes navigating tight spaces difficult.

Indeed the game has huge problem with optimisation. I lagged so hard turning was a bad experience. Another problem are the sounds, they need to be cleaner and the bass are too strong. Other than that it was long, many small mechanics. The theme was used properly, but that could be me not understanding.

The movement also was a bit off. Sometimes it felt like the strafing wasnt working as I would expect.

Which version was laggy, the WebGL, offline or both? We had some problems with WebGL, it is brighter and performance is worse, didn't really have time to investigate, unfortunately.

Thanks for the reviews!

Fun and simple challenge. I love the chunky old-school first person textures and painterly color palette. Also good sequence of mechanical introduction, devoting a level just to showing how keys work, then ghosts. It could have used some minimal background music for atmosphere. Thanks for building and sharing!

I love the way a mechanic was introduced and then built upon, I also really liked the difficulty curve and the art style. Nice job!

Those last few levels were quite tricky! I also noticed the lag in areas with lots of lava (particle effects probably?) but otherwise it was a well done game. Nice work!

Simple but really effective! Fun levels, retro graphics ands spooky ghosts. Can't ask for more.

This game reminded me a lot of those old fps games like doom. I loved the graphics The sounds were cool too. I think it needs something more in the later levels because it becomes quite monotonous after a while.

I loved this! It reminded me a lot of Spooky's House of Jumpscares. One or two levels were too mazey for me, but I really enjoyed most! I got stuck in a later level with many ghosts in narrow hallways, and had to throw in the towel there.

Really cool 3D game. Gives me ideas to one day be able to create such a game using my own engine lol. Those ghosts spooked me out though, as simple as they are.

The only thing; overtime it because nauseating for me. Moving was too quick and you got stuck in walls; wheras the brain would expect you to slide on the wall and gradually move (or at least, a bit slower) so it make me confused. The levels with giant pits of lava tortured my ears  In addition to that, the art style of the graphics also had my brain spinning lol. I guess I could probably only handle softer themes but maybe it's just me. But I still enjoyed playing. Nice game!

-I really enjoyed the Minecraft-ish graphics, and the relatively shallow difficulty curve meant I could appreciate the game's mechanics without getting frustrated before level 3 like a lot of game jam entries I've played.

-The maze-like layouts got frustrating since there were few unique features I could use to get my bearings.

-The spikes were a bit too unforgiving due to the fact you can't see your body, especially the level where they're in a checkerboard pattern. Maybe consider reducing their hitbox?

-I found it odd that the harmless lava had a very prominent sound effect while the level-restarting ghosts had none at all.

-For the future, may I suggest allowing the player to adjust their sensitivity with the scroll wheel? I found it a bit too slow, and I know others who would find it too fast.
