LD42 — Running out of space

Hose Moose by StabAlarash 2018-08-14T20:38:31Z

I liked it, but I found it too hard. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but the fire spread too fast and you extinguish them too slowly. Great graphics and music btw. I agree that it would be cool to know when the fire was extinguished too.

No Room! by Mieeh 2018-08-14T19:06:13Z

I played for quite some time until a runtime error appeared. But I really liked the game. Honestly I just respawn until I get a God t-shirt, and then I'm too OP and I kill every monster (until I need to get another chest). I like the concept, love that you put the source code at github too and it's your own engine!

Wackages by bram_ve 2018-08-14T05:33:46Z

Cool game. The concept is really cool, and the parcels do sometimes fall neatly into the shelves, I like it.

The graphics are also good, kinda funny/cartoonish, fits well the style of the game. Given the arena, the music fits too.

It does get frustrating when the walls are too high, but I guess that is the idea. I also didn't find any use for the dash (it's not really faster than walking I think), it would be cool if it did something to the parcels too.

Flesh Packer by nervous-composers 2018-08-14T05:58:21Z

It's funny, both the concept and the texts when looking/interacting with things... although it is somewhat disturbing haha. I really like the drawings too.

Save the Tomatoes! by fractalsunrise 2018-08-14T06:26:51Z

I loved it. The graphics remind me of harvest moon snes/FomT, and I really like these type of games. The gameplay is also unique but quite addicting, I lost quite some time playing this.

I retried the stage below a lot of times, but I can't seem to stop the vines. I'm not sure what I should do, I realized that depending on the way you cut them they grow in different directions, but I didn't know how to exploit that.

sstomatoes.png

Anyway, really lovely game. Oh, and the music, did you guys make the music? Used some kind of program? While I find most of the music made for jam somewhat annoying after some time, this one is incredibly relaxing and the game is still in background playing the music.

The only downside I can think of, is that sometimes to clean all the weeds you just need a lot of time. The game loses some of it's puzzle aspect, and it's just you going from one side to the other cleaning the weeds faster than they can grow, but still slowly. I did like the idea of an "extra" achievement though, so I don't have any suggestions on how to improve it.

And again, the game is awesome. Hope there is an version with a more gradual difficult curve later.

Save the Tomatoes! by fractalsunrise 2018-08-14T16:10:37Z

That's awesome, thanks @fractalsunrise!

Spacetime Landlord Tycoon by mechanicallife 2018-08-14T20:20:52Z

I love it. I really miss those tycoon type of games, it's somewhat rare for me to see them nowadays. It's great how you guys did it for a jam since it's well polished. The voices are quite cool and funny, as are the descriptions.

I got a lot of people in my house. Two people left and killed (literally killed D:?) two other people. Another one turned into a ghost. But I was somewhat managing it, some people were extremely happy, others not so much. I think I could perfect the schedule if I wanted to.

Also, the zombie is cool.

EVOLUTION by Noa Calice 2018-08-15T20:24:28Z

I really like it, it's very polished, specially for a compo game made by one person. Deeply disturbing, but we are going down that path anyway. I don't think this game is fun, and I don't think it's supposed to be.

TheFruityEscape by ItzJoJo 2018-08-14T17:34:24Z

Hey, I think you can host the source code on itch.io too. Way better than mediafire.

Can't help you with the building part since I don't have it too.

I agree with the other comment, try to find some other engine. Unity is also friendly (but less than gamemaker I think), but you can build for free. There are tons of others, but mostly are not as newbie friendly.

Congratulation on finishing it anyway! Hope you sort this out!

Finger Noodles by vfabien21 2018-08-14T05:43:44Z

The game is great!

I do think you can't really recognize all the keys at the same time. I tried to lift some just to test and the game didn't care. But the concept is awesome, and I guess it's kinda okay if you don't cheat yourself.

Really innovative, the art is simple but really charming, the music is cool, there are funny comments at the side. The game fits together really nicely, it would be great in a suite of party games or something like that. Also, different but perfect take on the theme.

Blocks by Anubhav Kashyap 2018-09-03T18:23:15Z

I liked it! The concept is really cool and it's well made. The sounds are good, it's well polished. Just the gravity, I thought it was kind of wonky, but maybe I just need to get used to it. Great job!

Onion Ring by Don Fouts 2018-08-14T20:45:26Z

The game bugged after my first playthrough, and I didn't seem to hit the other guy or hold my ground anymore. I restarted and everything worked fine again. The game is really professional, well polished for a game jam. Great job!

Meteor Shower by beanslasher 2018-08-14T05:25:25Z

Got 1661 at my second try. I didn't really understand why the game ended, I don't think I was hit, and I also didn't fall. The game is simple but it's fun. The meteors are too hard to see though (maybe I was hit?), and I agree that something should show where they are going to fall. It's okay to be random, but I think it's unfair if you have no chance to react.

I know you didn't make the music, but great choice, fits well in the game. The character is also cute.

Pre Alpha Build by PlusMinus 2018-08-15T19:26:41Z

This game is really good! Good music, graphics, and the concept is quite fun. Honestly I would like to know what each thing does, although I have some guesses. I don't know what the lab does, and I couldn't get enough metal. At the same time, the wall which should be really cheap is really hard to build given the cost.

But awesome game, with an upgrade system it would be a joy to play.

Unfamiliar by Kovakomes 2018-08-15T20:08:45Z

I'm not sure if I wanted to play it, it's fucking sad.

I'm not sure if this is a realistic portrait, but looks like so. Hope I don't find any relatives in this situation.

I think it has nothing to do with the theme, but this game is perfect in everything else. Thanks for this, I just want to go hug my mother now.

Will Survive by foxserranu 2018-08-14T21:02:32Z

Glad to see a great game made by a team with some brazilians!

Funny thing, we thought about the same concept at first too, but in a 3D game (somewhat borrowed from don't starve mechanic). But since we would probably use free assets, it would look like any generic survivor horror game. But you guys did it in 2D, well drawn, with some cool introduction and the experience fits together really nicely! Charming game.

I do agree that it doesn't pay off to win. It would be cool some ending scene too. But great game!

Six Spaces by Star Garden 2018-08-14T18:53:59Z

Oh, the game is quite cute. The graphics are good and the ending is heartwarming (also, beautifully drawn). I liked the puzzle solving involved in it too. I like the different take on the theme.

The Unfortunate Story of Hans by Bloc97 2018-08-14T05:14:49Z

I spent quite some time playing it. I like the idea. I was somewhat confused about the debris vs space thing, but I think that the debris is some kind of punitive measure if you let your things be destroyed? I also wasn't totally sure about how to defend from monsters. Probably bunkers and maybe decoys?

Both fonts are also somewhat hard to read, the futurist one only because it is too small and I don't know how to make it bigger.

Anyway, I really like the concept, the writing is awesome and the game is charming overall. Hope I can find the chicken nuggets if you guys finish the game :D!

Don´t Hit The Ducks! by Joloujed 2018-08-14T19:20:25Z

I like that you don't kill the animals in this one :D. I agree with everybody that the recoil after the shot is not cool, makes it too random. I also could get a "high" (192) score by just click crazily at the top of the screen. Maybe put more ducks there to avoid cheesing or limit the cursor area.

Nevertheless, cool idea, gameplay, graphics, music, sound, animations. It's all very well done and polished, great job!

SAVE THE PICKLE by Canoo_ 2018-08-14T19:12:18Z

Hey, I didn't rate yet since I didn't understand how to play. I planted all the things, and then I waited and nothing happened. What should I do? I think you should put a tutorial here, apparently I can attack things but there are no controls anywhere (and nothing appeared to attack).

crushED by DaviHayato 2018-09-03T18:27:18Z

I liked the tetris one! I think the game would be better if it were just variations of that scenario.

The music and graphics were good, it's just that the 3 stages are too short. But I liked the tetris idea!

Slime Sweeper by superbobmanguy 2018-08-14T19:33:07Z

I like it, got a score of 70. I'm not sure what's the losing condition, I guess having too many slimes?

Anyway, really liked the game. The idea is very clever, the graphics are cute and everything fits well together. The music sets a cool futuristic tone I would say. I also had the same problem with not understanding it's turn based, but after getting it the game is really fun.

Leave me alone by kraiom 2018-08-14T06:01:38Z

Glad you played with friends and liked it @fractalsunrise! The AI was an afterthought, somewhat, because we thought most people wouldn't be able to play with someone. If we keep working on this later, we will put some animations so it's more obvious what the AI is doing. Thanks for the feedback!

Leave me alone by kraiom 2018-08-14T20:28:40Z

Hey @skyrex thanks for playing! Glad you liked it!

About the hexagonal tiles, the tiles were made in blender (Eduardo can explain if your question is about this, I don't know about 3d modelling), and what helped us with creating the grid was this https://www.redblobgames.com/grids/hexagons/. We only needed the image at the side of "Size and spacing", that was enough for us to figure how to organize a tile grid of any size if that's what you are asking. But the article is super complete if you need to do more. We will release the source code too after cleaning the assets a little, it's totally spaghetti code, though.

Leave me alone by kraiom 2018-08-14T22:35:08Z

Hey @hilvon, take a look at the tutorial in the menu, it explains what the different tiles do. I think that the 4 moves were because you walked into the light green (plains) tiles! You can walk for free if you go to them. Now the blue/purple ones end your turn immediately.

And it's okay if he was stranded as his last move in the turn. You lose only if you have moves to do in the turn but nowhere to go. But honestly, I think it's quite confusing, we should probably end the game as soon as any player get stranded, yeah.

Thanks for playing!

Leave me alone by kraiom 2018-08-15T18:13:06Z

@andrey-ugolnik @star-garden Yeah, I think it was a bad idea do flip the camera after the middle of the map. Thanks for playing and for the suggestions!

@tungunity96 I had the same bug but only one time. I couldn't reproduce it. Really strange, but I'm glad you sent a screencap because I didn't take any (I thought I could reproduce it more easily). I will look into that! Thanks for playing, glad you like it :D!

@awix Thanks! I will try your game later. None of us know anything about music, but we did want to try to make it haha. I must say I got annoyed after play testing for a long time with the background music.

@koztar One of your favorites? That's awesome, thanks! What do you mean by AFK? Unless there is a bug (and there is :(, like the screenshot from @tungunity96), the AI should play too if you select the correct mode. Glad you enjoyed it!

@foxserranu If we can do half what you guys did next ludum dare, we will be very happy. I agree, we need to put some animations to the computer player. We thought about it but we had a big spaghetti code at the end, it wasn't easy haha (it should be if we were a little more careful when coding). Thanks for playing and for the suggestions! (also, your sound cloud music is great)

Leave me alone by kraiom 2018-09-03T18:16:49Z

@eduardo-yukio Thanks for playing! Indeed, it plays too fast, we should add some delay for the animation. Also, we tried to do small maps while developing so it was easier to test everything. The map size is parametrized, so we thought about having different map sizes, but we didn't have time in the end. If we come back to it we will do it, because I agree it's too small!

@ganonwarrior The song is really bad haha! It's the next thing we will try to improve next game we make. Thanks for playing!

@anubhav-kashyap Thanks for playing! Glad you liked it.

@guladam Yeah, we will do it! Thanks for playing, and glad you liked it!

Sorry for taking so long to answer, everyone! We really like those feedbacks, thanks!

LD46 — Keep it alive

don't dead it by drprettypatty 2020-05-12T01:30:08Z

I liked it. I really liked how everything sounded, the clicks on everything and the music. I sadly exploded it, though.

Oh Deer! by frostByte4k 2020-05-12T01:18:05Z

It's really simple, but it is a complete game. I like how you tried to animate it through moving the static model. Obviously it would be better to get a rigged model with animations, but it's a cool effect you don't have that. The mouse hitbox seems off, and I think it would be cool if I could click below the deer. You could easily solve that with more knowledge, so your next game will be even better :).

Oh Deer! by frostByte4k 2020-05-12T03:13:20Z

ohdeer.png

@frostbyte4k if I try to eat the grass directly below the deer, I can't. Maybe that's intended? But I think I understand part of the problem now, if I try to eat grass too far away, it gets some grass closer to the deer too. That makes sense. It seems it also gets grass always below the mouse pointer. I think it would be cool to get it around the pointer, but that's a minor issue.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Blind Faith by sohakes 2020-10-05T20:50:49Z

@verso Glad you liked it. They are OP, we tried balancing it by doubling the human player life, but maybe it's too easy now. The AI humans do block, but randomly, and when they are close only. It would be easy to make them block on throw, but we didn't have enough time in the weekend.

@cinar I agree! I think the health bar would be important. And there is a sound alert at least, try to get close to a goblin, but not too close, and you will hear it. A visual notification would be even better though. And thanks!

@sanojian Thanks! You can't! We thought that a infinite loop would fit better with LD theme and our game theme.

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Friendship is Magic by adsefhr 2018-04-25T03:36:16Z

I would test by myself, but it didn't work. "ESCAPE" appears on the screen and then it looks like I'm stuck in this screen. I tried to press WASD IJKL and the arrow keys but nothing happens :(. It looks quite cool and I wanted to see the weird ending.

FIM.png

Friendship is Magic by adsefhr 2018-04-25T04:07:39Z

Oh, I got till the end now. I didn't know the little guy could wall grab. I was doing everything by making on character jump in the head of the other, not sure if that was the intended way. Then I tried to jump many times in a row and he kind of flied (or wall grabbed? not sure).

I found the end a little funny, but the big guy would have an advantage, although I played by myself. Overall quite cool and polished little game, could be really fun with friends!

Lucky Towers! by FormalCloud 2018-04-24T03:29:30Z

It's incredibly polished. The sounds, graphics and everything are very tight, I really liked it. The only problem is that it takes too long for the spin. It's cool the first few times, but since it's one of the main ways to get money (apart from the tower), it ends up consuming a lot of time. But it's fun and really well done.

Rhythm Attack by automatonvx 2018-04-25T03:50:01Z

rythmatt.png

(Yeah the timing went to negative for some reason)

I liked how the three different levels had different music. I really like rhythm games, so I found it fun. The bar that kept pulsing at the bottom didn't mean much to me, I didn't understand what it tried to convey. When should I hit? when it gets full? Or if it gets full I miss? Something like the beats from Necrodancer works better I think. Sometimes I swear I pressed the button at the right time at the second level, but couldn't make it work. I also sometimes wondered if there was some type of cooldown to the laser, cause sometimes it would miss when I think it shouldn't (but maybe it's just that the sound it makes made me confused).

Overall quite cool game.

All the content by you? Even the music? The music is great! The first one is awesome, I love this style, what program did you use?

Harvest Doom by Fiote 2018-04-25T18:45:02Z

I really liked it. It's cool how many people tried to do some farming horror games and it worked well. The engine looks different too, some web based? Quite cool. Graphics are also really good.

Harvest Doom by Fiote 2018-04-25T22:42:35Z

Wow, that's awesome @Fiote! Looks hard haha, congrats!

Caribbean Trains by Aviland 2018-04-25T02:43:33Z

I liked it, it's a very creative idea. It could work on those .io games, too, with many ships and you stealing their cargos (that shoot). I think the controls were a little unresponsive, it didn't seem to turn sometimes, not sure if I was doing something wrong. But overall quite cool.

The Farm by GertJohnny 2018-04-25T05:34:30Z

I was searching for games similar to mine and found this. And I recognized your name, you just commented on my game!

That's like, really awesome. It's similar to my idea but honestly more fun and way more polished.

In the second day the game froze after I harvested some corn :(. But it's incredibly well made, didn't find any other bug.

I think it's the best game I played until now. Maybe it's just because I wish I had made it :P. Great models, programming not buggy and the banjo music is awesome.

Edit: Tried again, same thing, froze after getting corn. Not sure if "froze" is the right word, it just seem like I can't do anything.

farmtactics.png

Checkmate by aevek 2018-04-25T06:56:36Z

Very cool game! The concept is really unique and loads of fun, I also like you can chain attacks, it punishes mistakes harder. Also really polished. I died in the queen (I would say it looked like a downgrade since you can only attack in diagonals and has a bigger cooldown, but it has a special attack, just saw it now in the description, it may offset that). I think a line drawn in the ground would be better too, it's hard to know the path the piece is gonna make when diagonal with that curved line. The horse was a neat idea too. I may try to get to the king later.

Drive Threw by Zachary Burkett 2018-04-24T04:46:10Z

It's seems really cool, but sadly I had the same problem as @Hello.Coder :(. I will try on linux later and follow up if it works.

Drive Threw by Zachary Burkett 2018-04-24T16:36:02Z

Hey @arun-donti, I think I know what's happening, these screenshots below explain a little better:

2018-04-24_13:28:27.png

2018-04-24_13:28:38.png

The game is consuming all the memory and crashing! If you see under some seconds it eats a lot more ram and keep going up. It takes a longer time on linux and it just freezes everything when one or two minute passes (on windows it kills the jvm probably). You are probably storing all the references to some object somewhere, and so Java can't clean them. At least that's my guess.

About the game, I could play a little more now. The graphics are really good, I really like the feel of the part on the grill. The sounds is also cool, and the mechanics are really well done. I couldn't make a burguer though. I tried two times, and the customer didn't like it. I tried with two patties at one time but I couldn't assembly it. It fits nicely with the theme too, since you really need to play two different games.

Thinking now, maybe "Yes" means I need to grill it at both sides until the smoke changes, and "Cooked" means I need to cook it until it blackens even more?

Bloodew Valley by sohakes 2018-04-24T04:52:50Z

Hey, thanks for the comments and the feedback guys @Apples_mmmmmmmm @TomekS @ZuhairGhias @Arun Donti.

I'm really happy you played that much @arun-donti, it means a lot to me. I also felt the same way about the theme. But I thought: if the genres are initially incompatible, but you blended them well, did you fail the theme? But I understand what you said.

About the time, I'm not used to seeing time in AM/PM form to be honest haha (I live in a place with 24h system). I thought it was supposed to be 00:10, but I guess it's 12:00, and then 01:00.

The gun certainly needs more feedback to the player. I think that I've played so much that it ends up feeling natural to me, but certainly not for others.

Again, thanks for the lovely comment, it made me really happy!

Bloodew Valley by sohakes 2018-04-25T05:07:13Z

@stderr I'm not sure about the buzzing noise. I tried the Windows and Linux build and it seems fine. When developing there was a bug where it tried to make a lot of steps sounds and it sounded bad, maybe that was it, sorry.

About the gun, considering the gun is selected (painted red in the upper right corner - it gets selected auto in the start of the fight) and the cursor is not bugged (if the middle of the screen with the little green crosshair matches exactly the location of each square in the grid, it's probably working. If the square placement is not in the middle of the screen, then it's bugged :( ), then the gun is probably working fine. Since there is absolutely no feedback about it firing, and there is a cooldown of 3 seconds, you probably didn't realize it was working. Many people had the same problem, and it was always the lack of feedback (but it was working as intended).

Bloodew Valley by sohakes 2018-04-25T05:15:06Z

Thanks @GertJohnny!

Also, forgot to say thanks to @TiagoDvl. Awesome feedback!

Bloodew Valley by sohakes 2018-04-25T05:23:58Z

Thanks @Cole-and-Jordan-Studios! Glad you liked it! You forgot to harvest the crops, died because you didn't have money, and then respawned outside of the map? That's a funny behavior haha. Many people figured out how to go out of the map, didn't happen at all with me, I guess I just tested the expected paths haha.

Thanks for playing!

Bloodew Valley by sohakes 2018-04-26T18:05:14Z

Hey @Axe, thanks for playing! Yeah, I couldn't figure out this audio glitches yet, really strange but many people seem to have it. I know though what could cause the spawn out of the map thing haha. Thank you again!

I'm glad you liked this @Dovakla! Really happy you finished my game haha. And the ending was meant to be kind heartwarming, but kind of B movie so-bad-it's-funny way haha. Happy you've seen it! I think not many people reached the end because of the bugs, so I get really happy when someone does. And yeah, the approach of our games were different, but some of the ideas are very very similar, such as the evil crops spawning, it's kind of funny that we thought of the same things. I've seen some other games with some similar themes too (such as https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/harvest-doom or https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/the-farm (which is ridiculously polished - but they seem to have a indie studio)), but they have no evil crops haha.

Thanks @Dyoni! When making it, I thought it were gonna look lame. I was impressed when I pressed play and because of the random spawn location, he got behind me and I was genuinely scared for a moment haha. I was kind of happy with the result, glad you felt the same! And the two genres are farming simulator (such as harvest moon and stardew valley) and a generic survival horror. Didn't think about minecraft, but I can see how you come to think that based on the blocky models.

Hey @Yahialds, I'm not gonna lie, I'm kind of sad because of all the bugs but I'm somewhat proud too. Before starting the jam I didn't expect it to get so big, but I kinda of got carried away and it came out decent, against my intuition (I thought I was gonna fail at most things I would try to do). I think I should aim lower next time though, so I can polish it more and do more playtesting... the game breaking bugs are really sad because most people don't give it a second chance (and I understand that! there are so many games!). But I also love when people really play it despite of the bugs, so thank you very much, it means a lot you liked it.

@Jupiter-Hadley you are doing awesome work with these videos! It's kind of sad you had the cursor bug. That's what made the tiles go to random places, that's what made it difficult to shoot, and that's what made it hard for you to find the door haha. The cursor wasn't locked in the middle of the screen. I will try to solve that, no one that has this bug can play. I'm happy you played it though, I'm watching all your videos (actually just saw until the third one, but I will see the others), hope to see some "Best of Ludum Dare 41" from you too.

Bloodew Valley by sohakes 2018-05-08T04:50:21Z

Thanks @automatonvx! Yeah, the shooting part was really tacked together. The gun probably doesn't deselect, but the transparent tiling "feature" is activated permanently, even if you are not with a tool that does anything with the tiles (actually, only the case with the gun). I didn't think about it until now, maybe that's part of the reason people were so confused about the gun not working, and it is really easy to stop that transparent tile from showing.

Glad you thought the music was nice, I never did anything like this before. Coming for you that's really good since your game had great music! I will try to understand reaper with that sound pack for the next one. Maybe I can do something nicer next time, who knows? Thanks again.

Fish Fighter by GiovanniBarrottu 2018-04-24T04:27:14Z

I liked it. It's somewhat glitchy, specially underwater. I think that the fishes got trapped somewhere I couldn't see :(. I'm also not sure if I need to hit the far right or the middle of the bar. Concluded it's the far right though because I was getting better fish that way :D! Really solid game, just didn't play much because I got stuck. Also I was super confused with the guy falling on the water. But I got it and thought it was super funny (why opt out of humor?).

The WebGL version is kinda bad (as in general with unity's webgl =/), so I'd recommend the windows version for those who wanna play.

Fightin' Words - Real Typing Strategy by Eitrius 2018-04-25T02:53:28Z

It was quite hard initially to understand all these commands. But also I think you provided a the right difficult at each level so it wasn't so overwhelming. I started thinking it would be a lame game, and finished all the levels wanting more. Really creative idea actually, the limitation on control made it look more like a puzzle, in a good way. The only similar game I thought of was There Came an Echo (which I didn't play). The letters were also really small to read in a big resolution, but no big deal. Overall, really fun.

Edit: Oh, also the Webgl version doesn't seem to work here too. Maybe if it's a general problem you may want to take it down so other people don't think the game is bugged.

Fightin' Words - Real Typing Strategy by Eitrius 2018-04-25T03:27:02Z

Sure @Ryan-Koning, Chrome here, version 65.0.3325.181 (looks like it's outdated, maybe that's the problem).

I liked the game, but I think it would be way improved if either there was no space between cards, or you could select them with the keyboard. I ended up missing a lot of cards because of clicking in the middle of them. Also, although I found awesome the idea that the number of cards is the number of mistakes you can do, it's kind of bad when you are gonna click in a card and it's disappearing, and then you miss again, try to click in the other card for the next note (which just disappeared) and things go downhill. I guess I can get used to this mechanic though.

Still, really enjoyable and neat idea.

A journey of the block by TomekS 2018-04-24T04:42:39Z

Wow, first time doing the audio? That's awesome. Everything is really good, the graphics, the processing. I want to learn how you did it, I will check the source later, it's amazing the blur and floating things, and it's less laggy than my game that has no post processing at all.

Couldn't beat it yet (died in the "frogger" part), it took some time for me to understand what's going on, but I felt it's really creative after I got it. I didn't like much that the direction he could go wasn't the same as the one the bridges go, I needed to zigzag a bit so I don't fall (and then I got stuck with an almost complete piece doing that). But overall, really great.

Crash to the Past by UntitledQ 2018-04-24T03:17:50Z

I'm the number one now! Died because I didn't see I was going that far. But super fun, it's like the barrel parts of DKC but on its own game. I'm not sure about what genres are being mixed, maybe put in the description? Loads of fun.

DinoGrow by Conroy 2018-04-25T03:05:02Z

It looks like it would be cool. I tried to join a game from a guy called @pcoridan, which is the same name as one of the devs haha? Maybe it was just a default name? Couldn't find anyone on the island and my internet is kind of bad so that's why I disconnected soon after I guess. It was a bigger problem though, considering the view is too angled downwards (as someone commented) and I wasn't sure if I just couldn't find anyone or if there wasn't anyone there since it was hard to look far.

I also don't really think there are two really incompatible genres here. But on the innovation side, really cool to see a multiplayer game, it looks really hard to do something like that. Would be better if it had some kind of AI too, though, but that's really hard for a short project I guess.

DinoGrow by Conroy 2018-04-25T03:25:40Z

Oh, that's really cool hat we were at least able to connect. My internet isn't helping too, it's hard even to download games. Good to know @pcoridan!

Farmer's Delight: A Twin-Stalk Shooter by Dovakla 2018-04-25T06:14:20Z

Oh man it's so much like my game. Like, SO MUCH. At least the main idea although the way things happen are somewhat different and you preferred a top down approach (honestly working in first person was so buggy I wish I would go back and do the same). Even the somewhat poorly drawn main menu (I used Piskel too!) and models because you probably aren't mainly an artist, or the tradeoff between planting many things and getting gold but getting overwhelmed.

Your is more fun though tbh. The merchant dialogs is funny and it's really cool how you switch to first person after getting to that place. Unexpected but beautiful. It lacks any polishing, but strangely enough I think it matches the overall mood of the game. And I didn't find any bugs. I guess maybe one: I think there was music at the start, and I've seem you used Incompetech's music at the menu, but didn't hear any sound or music after some time!

I like how you mix the twin stick mechanics into the game too, you need to shoot seeds, water, etc. I didn't understand what to use the water for, though. I thought it was to calm down the plants, but it didn't seem to work. Didn't seem to change how fast they grow too. I also bought other seeds but they didn't change anything I think. Didn't understand what they do.

Loved it, congrats for the game.

Silent Rythm - A horror rythm game (download link available) by facepalmpt 2018-04-25T03:20:55Z

The graphics are really really good, and the music sounds eerie too. The mood was really good. But I couldn't do much. I tried to follow the order 1-4-2-3 l and 1-3-4-2 shown by the green dots (considering it was a vertical or horizontal ordering), neither worked. Not sure what to do. I think that the rhythm part is also incomplete, right? Cool idea, I love rhythm games, I would play if it was improved I think.
