Okay so multiplayer bad idea for game jams. But....i managed to play by myself. And surprisingly it was fun to play. I think 3 player would be great if i had more people to play with. took me a second to find the lock to the last gate. And the end level was strange. but maybe part of theme? overall not bad. good game.
solid 4 game, cute art, cool concept, but a bit glitchy, I sadly don't have 2 other friends to play it with me so I played it by myself as well but didn't managed to get too far, i basically managed to soft-lock myself and without a way to restart the lvl easily it was the end of my journey as i didn't felt like replaying the previous "puzzle" again only to get back to where I was :(.

Controllers felt a bit glitchy. Graphics and sound were really nice!
Something did not work for the JUMP and for some reason my player 2 did not appear in the game. Despite that, the graphics look very good and the BGM is quite nice as well. I like the multiplayer feature, but I think it will work against you for people playtesting your game :(. Not many people will have 3 people gathered together to playtest games. That aside, I think it is a really cool game.
EDIT: For the theme, I did not get the 2 incompatible genres. Is it at the end? I could not reach it because of the 3 player thing :(.
Awesome graphics, I enjoyed the music too ;) It's quite possible to play alone, but it's really hard haha. I'm looking forward to being able to play this with actual friends. Solid entry, well done !
@Albuquerque Yeah, you get to see the other genre after finishing the first level
@Riyeou May I suggest you to make a gameplay video for your game and post it here (also, including the ending - even if you have to put a "SPOILER" tag)? It would help people to see and appreciate the work you have put in the game more easily. Also, I am curious :3
The Game looks solid! it reminds me of my favorite games I used to play when I was a kid! the game has very catchy background music and theme of it makes me want to play more! really good game and keep up the good work!

While it's well made, the theme aren't really combined... But it's well made. Also I found a statue, what is it used for?
I would test by myself, but it didn't work. "ESCAPE" appears on the screen and then it looks like I'm stuck in this screen. I tried to press WASD IJKL and the arrow keys but nothing happens :(. It looks quite cool and I wanted to see the weird ending.

Oh, I got till the end now. I didn't know the little guy could wall grab. I was doing everything by making on character jump in the head of the other, not sure if that was the intended way. Then I tried to jump many times in a row and he kind of flied (or wall grabbed? not sure).
I found the end a little funny, but the big guy would have an advantage, although I played by myself. Overall quite cool and polished little game, could be really fun with friends!

Took me a while to figure out how to get the small one to higher places, there was a little bit of glitch exploitation to see it though, but a cute game nonetheless. The music got kinda repetitive after a while tho...
Like others have said, making a multiplayer game for a game jam isn't the best idea since most of us are playing solo. That said, I liked the graphics, and the music would fit extremely well if it were longer and had more sections. But speaking as someone who played solo, I just got frustrated at it. The puzzle to get the statue was where I drew the line. I got softlocked and just gave up. I found out the beaked one could wall jump, but pulling it off felt like a glitch over an intended feature. And I've heard that the genre mixing takes place in the second stage, but I simply couldn't reach there.
This game has such fantastic visuals, but I do wish there was a single player version! Great work though in such little time :smile:
I really would like to play this game, but I do not have anyone to do that. One of my tips would be to put a simple command to change characters by queuing them. Like in The Lost Vikings.

Really fun game! When connecting a controller as second player the controller only works to jump and attack not to move. I really liked how the game felt. Keep up the good work!
That was fun by myself let alone if I could play this with controllers, the ending was completely unexpected! Great job guys!! Took me awhile to get the hang of the double jump, but once I did, it made things a lot easier!
