Very nice, I liked playing it, good sounds ! Good graphics !
@sgalasso Thank you very much. It was the first time I created a music for a game 😀.
Yes... Very nice, I liked playing it...
Wow, this one is one of my favourites in LD45. REALLY love the trippy art and the gameplay. Very well done! I got stuck on a level where you only have two platforms and have to get up to the wormhole though - first I have placed the platform way below of the start platform and then could not pick it up again anymore
Graphic is simple but impressive! The cube was too shiny, can't stare at it. It's a eye killer gaem lol. Great work!
The level design as a whole is elegant and introduces new mechanics at an interesting rate even after all the controls are unlocked. The final level isn't altogether easy even once you have figured out the trick; "difficult but fair" isn't always an easy target to hit and you've done a good job here.
I found sometimes the brightness of the player cube made it a bit difficult to see what I was doing, but from a purely aesthetic standpoint I enjoyed the overall visual and audio style.
Overall a nice, clean platforming experience :)
@graphicedit Thank you very much :v:
@philarmon Yeah, I wanted to have mechanic like death is not a fail(Wow this would be huge theme for future LD :D), so only option sometimes is to restart level. Thanks ! :)
@hydrate The cube was supposed to be so shiny because it represent soul and free will. You do what you want to do and can do :). Thank you very much.
@aquanim Thank you :) I am sad I had time to create only few levels. I got prepared double triple jump mechanics, wall jumps, laser switches, cubes etc. But no time to build it into a level sadly. :/ As I said to hydrate it was supposed to be that bright :)
Heyo! Nice job here dude! The game is responsive, i even adventured in some tricky ways tryin to move n click n place the blocks at the same time just for the sake of doing it. Great concept as well! I got stuck in the two laser level, as I was far from the spawn and fell. When I respawned, there were no blocks to move in sight. If there was some sort of level restart when the blocks are too far away from respawn, it would be nice! Loved the aesthetic and sounds! :)
@bernardex Thank you for your feedback. I am glad you liked it. There is restart button in top left corner of the window :). I was making sounds for the first time. Thanks !
@baski Whoa! I really didn't see it! A sneaky button, indeed! I'll play it even more then! 8)
Graphics look amazing! Enjoyed the game!
If you can upload a web or mac build it would be great for more people to play to give feedback!
@thejebforge Thank you very much :)
@danilo-freire I will try to do that, my unity is currently broken because I tried webgl build.. .Will notify you once done. :)
@baski that will be nice! I would love to play!
Amazing game. Excellint graphics. This game is addictive and fun to play. But the graphics looks extremely good.
@alphaden Thank you very much :)
I loved it from beginning to end. I liked the idea to unlock abilities and the little puzzles were great!
@shadow30 Thank you very much :)
@danilo-freire I made lightweight WebGL version. Please give me feedback if it is lagging or anything(I don't have slow pc to test it). Thanks!
The bloom from the cube was quite extreme and made it hard to see at times, but overall fun game and great execution !
@sloe The cube was supposed to be so shiny because it represent soul and free will. You do what you want to do and can do :). Thank you very much.
I liked it a lot!
Especially the interaction between platforming and building at the same time which was really satisfying when I managed to do it (once :))
(Going left really quit the game - which was surprising when playing in the browser, but than again it's only consequentual given your theme was free will :))
@tobias-maushammer Thank you :) the challenge is to finish the game with one block:D i am surprised yoo about webgl version. Sadly its not as good looking as pc :/
Great concept, and love the colourful graphics.
If the JJ abrams style flare is toned down , and the camera inertia is tightened up / smoothed , this'd be a a winner.
I got stuck on the below lovel when I placed a bunch of platforms under the spawn point.

@johnnysix Thank you :) the glow from the player is intentional :). Thank hour for your kind words. You can always restart level on top left and you can click on the blocks and move them as you like. :)
The light is a bit too bright if you ask me, but the levels were well designed and that black hole effect is rad! nice work! a very good entry.
@blobo Thank you very much :) The glow was intentional because the player is the soul.(square soul 😀)
Wow i really liked the polish that went into the game. The background lighting is quite fun. I think the player might glow a bit too much.
@zhorky Thank you very much for a feedback ! :)
Good looking and fun to play! I really like that background xD
Pretty cool puzzle game! Has a lot of potential to it so if you ever feel like designing more levels, go for it!
That's a really fun platformer you made! Graphics and Audio are the top feature here. A directional indicator for the portal would help a lot.
@bilalch213 Yeah, good catch about indicator:) Thank you :)
@xenoxygene I will think about it :) Thank you.
@nax-89 Thank you very much ! :)
Really cool looking game, the main mechanic was simple but fun, overall really nice
I've read some of the comments and agree that the player is too bright and the camera smoothing are areas this could improve. I like the game, placing blocks in the levels is not too difficult, but sometimes they aren't visible and the game doesn't lead the player towards them. Some levels can be completed without using all of the level though.
I liked the game idea, it's styling is pretty (but turn down the lights lol), the level finish animation is quite enjoyable. Some sounds were really good and some were not bad, not great.
A decent upload if you ask me.
@ogelgames Thank you.
@sprotex thanks.
Solid platformer. Expanding on mechanics as you progress in the game fits the jam theme nicely.
With some white background the player appears too bright and outlines can't be seen. It would be better to stick with dark backgrounds. Otherwise the graphics are fittingly minimalistic.
Sound effects a nice. Especially like the snappy building sounds. Building brings good secondary mechanics to the game. Music sounds quite standard.
Overall nice entry. Well done!
@keppu thank you very much, yeah the level witb white light is little over. I am happy you love the sound effects, tbis was the first time i created muaic too
Thank you for the feedback.
Pretty good platformer. I didn't really notice that I wasn't able to move in the first few levels, so some of the "starting from nothing" was lost on me on my first playthrough. I was kind of confused on how to create platforms for a while, but I figured it out eventually.
Everything is good in this puzzle game, the looks, the music, the level design, the progress mechanics… not much to complain about here, except the camera is horrible, sorry! I would love to play again with a camera that doesn’t move when everything else is idle and I’m trying to place a block. It’s great that you had time to design that many levels; maybe some feature like jumping could have come slightly later, with a few more puzzles with no jump…
@mao Thank you :) Yeah it's that could be better :)
@samh For me there are not enough levels there :D It could have come later :). I had prepared double jump, triple jump and attack mechanics, but i did not have time to create levels for that :( Thanks for playing and good critique :)
nice; very solid all around; and gorgeous!
@coachsisyphus Thank you very much :)
Wow, original game! The music, sounds and graphics are all very nice. Nice touch to quit or start the game by moving the block. But because of that, I didn't notice in the first level that I couldn't move, since it was all happening quite fast.
Some levels felt quite similar to me (climbing with one or two movable blocks). In some levels, after dying I kept respawning till finally the diagonally moving block had returned, which makes the game feel less polished.
The exit/portal was sometimes so strong that it moves the path of the player but not strong enough to let you win the level, resulting in a near-finish death. Also, if you are standing near the goal, but just not close enough, the sound effects are quite strong and repetitive :

It was a bit unclear how to place the new blocks in the beginning. Perhaps the button in the bottom could be more visible (or maybe blinking the first time?). I would have loved (the option) to use the up arrow key or W key to jump in stead of space bar to jump, since my left hand had to do all the moving around and my right hand was operating the mouse. The camera movement is cool, but it makes clicking and placing blocks way too hard. Also, if you die, one of your blocks might be out of sight, so you suddenly have to play with one block. Only when I got to the level with the two lasers I noticed the restart button, because I was stuck - my blocks couldn't move anymore after they touched the laser (to my surprise). In that same level, I could place the blocks quite low, but the player wouldn't survive the fall (nor could I pick up those blocks anymore:
scrshotFreeWill2.png
In the end I took a big detour in the last level, around the lower laser and made it till the end!
All in all, congrats with a very solid entry!
This is such a good review :D Some things are unclear :) I can not add W as jump because I wanted to implement look up feature, Yeah the portal is a little bit buggy with the sound. Sometimes it can throw you off like real BH :D
The respawning thing frustrate me a lot too.. but no time to fix that :D(And I don't want to modify this version until the reviews are done)
The death are should be more visible. Yeah red blocks can not be moved. Only white blocks could be moved. I wanted to visualize that by chaning colors. :D
Thank you for such a good review.
A super simple and fun little platform game. I love both the music and the graphics. Overall a good jam game. Well done.
Neat platformer. It does have lag on some levels, which isn't ideal, since you need speed and accuracy when placing platforms. But overall, nice game.
The glow was almost too bright though; you'd want to consider softer colours for those with epilepsy.
@jk5000 thank you very much :)
@itsdanidre i am aware of that i will make post jam version after reviews are done. :) thanks for playing :)
Awesome puzzler, really loved it the entire way through ("YOUUU WINNN!") I felt like the puzzles were really fun to solve and I really enjoyed the lighting effect (maybe sometimes a bit too bright?) Loved the music as well, I think this game has great potential to grow into something much bigger (2 player mode anyone??).
Awesome job!
@karlipoppins yeah 2 player mooode 🤩 I am planning to polish it add more levels and maybe publish it on steam? Thanks for kind review and for playing the game :)
Cool little game, lots of pretty effects! I dunno if this was intentional, but I found an exploitable technique that made the game a bit easier- I call it elevatoring :D
bombjump.gif
The post processing effects, namely the bloom was pushed a bit hard, the "character" piece was a little hard to see at times. The void effect, while really *really* cool, sometimes caused physics issues where the cube was very resistant to going in. Using the elevator tech in particular could cause problems where a feedback loop of sound happened while the cube never escaped.
I also thought the sliding sound for movement was unique, although perhaps a bit grating at times.
There was one level in particular that was a bit difficult where I had to use blocks to climb up to a void, but since I didn't know where the void was, I wasn't sure where I needed to be going. Maybe some sort of compass arrow around the screen pointing towards the end goal, or a camera zoom function, or a minimap, or camera focus on that point on respawn for a second would do the trick?
Overall, very cool game with a nice mechanic! Would love to see it expanded upon.
@selkkie It is intentional because I did not want to restrict placing of blocks :) The post process is too much I agree now :)
Yeah, the indicator or navigation with level design was missing from it :)
Yeah I hope I will make extended version. If you want to have information about extended version drop me mail here :)
And thanks for playing ! :)
