I pulled out my controller and went to town. Nice little shooter you got here. Those pesky things shot me so many times. Very challenging!
I loved this one! I played it for a while after since it was so fun! I love the risk reward and blood system! Its honestly quite good.
Very well done, fun and challenging game.
I had fun playing this nice game!!!
I like the art style. I feel like a lot more effort went into the blood than anything else lol. Great gameplay, bloody hard at times!
Love the controller support! Great art style and you nailed the tutorial. This is very polished and the enemies movement definitely made this fun. Cool play on the theme, great work!
The risk/reward mechanics it's very smart, wow! You managed to bend the theme into a little gem. Loved the blood effects and the gorey approach.
Fun, innovative, challenging, polished and theme fitting.
Awesome entry!
Awesome, this is very well executed! As others have mentioned, the blood is great, and the overall gameplay is really fun! :D
Add some more environments, keyboard support and some way to tell when the enemies are shooting and you've got yourself a game I'd probably buy for real world money! Amazing job!
This is probably my favorite game so far. Feels real good reflecting one enemies bullets at another. The mid wave shop fulfills the theme requirements perfectly. There is a huge difficulty spike on level 3 but it feels real nice to get gud at the game and push through it. I would absolutely play more of this.
Definitely my favorite game so far!
I've done 6 Ludum Dares and this is the simply the funnest game I've played among them. I seriously played for almost an hour. I can routinely get to the 5th/6th wave but never beaten 6. It just is a great feeling experience. I tried multiple strategies (overload on speed, overload on stamina, overload on HP, balance speed and stamina) they all had their pros and cons and I never really decided 1 was optimal. Wow this is just great. Makes me want to make a game similar to it and see if I can replicate the feeling.
Really wish it had keyboard support :cry:
@notb @commanderstitch @c0d3d @moonlens @mrwillowb @b3agz @chawls-v @memel06 @danga @corny @youpeoples @poisondart00 @nick-rafalski Thank you all for playing my game and leaving feedback, it actually means so much to me!
If you enjoy the game but find it too difficult, here's a video of me getting to wave 13. It might show some new tech that you may not have known about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQzA1RluGBE
@fanmanpro Sorry that it doesn't have keyboard support! I felt like with the limiting amount of time it was important to focus on making one style of input very polished and make it feel good.
Ah, you really shouldn't make controller only games, would've loved to try it out!
A fellow "kill things with big guns" developer! Have a gander at my game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/breaker
I'll be sure to play and review your game today as well!
@hasuman Will do :]
@shp Sorry! p.s. I really did love bloodletter, probably my top played game this ludum dare!
Lol, this is fun! If you add more different sprites and types of mobs, it would be very cool!
What a fun little game. It did all the important things just right and everything felt really snappy as they should. Movement had no jank to it, killing things was pure skill and no gimmicks, effects didn't clutter the screen. The visuals were a bit lackluster, but after sinking a good 30 minutes into this game I didn't even mind anymore. I was too busy focusing on disapatching those red rice cubes. Audio did what it did and delivered that punchy crunch as it should. Nothing too great, but nothing to complain about either.
All in all, I'm having a difficult time deciding if this game is 3,5 or 4 stars. If it had a more unique look to it (without overdoing it), I'd give it a solid 4 or even more.
So cool ! Nice execution !
Oh no, the game requires a controller.😠But it looks so good.
Ahaha looks like we had the same idea :) Yours looks much much better, though! And I loved it for that! Despite being simple, it felt incredibly satisfying to play! Good job :)
Thanks @game-dynasty @hasuman @loganou974 @phillserrazina @ayama
@phillserrazina I'll make sure to try out your game!
@hasuman Thanks for the critical feedback! I appreciate the words and will take them into account next jam!
Feedback on input felt great. I had a bug when tutorial prompt for Right Triger + Right stick appeared, I couldn't continue.
@raymoclaus I haven't heard of that happening! Thanks for letting me know, I will investigate. Out of curiosity, did you unzip the folder or just run it directly from the zip file? Hopefully if you restarted it, it fixed itself.
Thanks again!

Great job! The movement feels really good and the effects are satisfying. Well done.
So har and so adictive! Good luck!
Very addictive and fun! Dash attack isn't very intuitive and comfortable to perform, took me some time to practice. Otherwise - an outstanding game
Hey @quadape, glad you liked the game! You're not the first person go say that about it being unintuitive. Do you feel like it's just because of the controls, or that the feedback when you do a dash isnt up front enough?
Let me know what you think, thanks!
