I really liked the art and unique gameplay alot! My only gripe is the very annoying lag spikes and the fact that jump isn't space. Overall very fun besides the lag

I liked the voice acting and gameplay. Howerver, I felt the theme was slightly lacking. Also, I felt that past a point it was impossible.
I could play it I just found it very confusing and quite complex. I never truly found out more than the basics of trading. I wished it was a bit less confusing(especially since you had a tutorial system). I really think if I understood it it would be a cool game
I really liked this one a lot. It's not often that you see a fighting game on pc let alone in a game jam. However, in my opinion the items need to be quite a bit more important. This is because I just played without any powerups and it was easier. Also, the most annoying part is the collision as often times, it will glitch out and you will have half of your hp or all eliminated while being stuck. Overall very fun!
I really loved this one! I really thought the graphics and gameplay were super awesome!
Very satisfying, addicting and interesting! I played it 3 times since it was so fun! I think that personally though once you run out and are getting close to losing it is nearly impossible to recover
I'm extremely confused on the text files and I've been trying for over an hour. Can someone please give me a pointer
Very cool game! I really liked the idea, graphics and abilities. The only thing I would like is if it were a bit more forgiving as the abilities really took ALOT of health and didnt allow much wiggle room or experimentation.
Amazing art and sound however, because of that the gameplay was lacking and there were many bugs.
I love the art and the music I just feel that the gameplay was boring and short.
I really liked the art and idea alot! My complaints are as follows: can't hear enemies charging laser/ firing, close range ones to slow to ever hurt you and the final boss was quite confusing and impossible to avoid?
I really liked this game alot! My only "complaint" is how often the powerups are making ammo not a problem.
I really liked the game!I felt like combat was a bit lacking a bit more you can avoid it type of thing. However the art, time limit, and randomly generated levels were awesome!
Really nice graphics however it is a very difficult game and I feel that some weapons go to slow and the enemy can just randomly move fast enough. Overall really great tho!
I loved the graphics alot. I just believe there wasn't much idea to begin with and nothing really to make a game from. I feel it could feel alot more like a game if you only had a time limit
Really fun and cool to see this type of game in a ludem dare! My only complaint is that you can't access the buy menu after you get the planet it really is quite annoying.
I thought it was a pretty meh game. I didn't get far because it started to lag ALOT after a couple minutes but from what I played it seemed a bit repetitive. Maybe I just didn't get far enough though. I think the main problem for me was the fps which was extremely frustrating to me
The atmosphere and game are really quite amazing. Also, as someone who does voxel art this is the standard I one day hope to achieve. Also, the music is really good overall. My only complaint is, as others have said, the camera is extremely wonky and the worst part is the inability to zoom in without reseting it.
Honestly, I am extremely confused as to why it has so few ratings.
Cool mechanics! I felt that the theme was a little bit weird. I loved the particle effects also! The sound was also quite good.
Im not sure entirely what I was doing and it seemed a bit boring. However, I really liked the mood, music and the large world. It was interesting to look at although Im not sure what I was always doing lol.
This was a great entry! At first I thought it was really boring. However, the difficulty really is unique in the ludem dare and it was a welcome change! I really liked all of it honestly with the difficulty, mood, and music being the best in my opinion. My only compaint was when I had to look down to read the dialogue only to find that I ran into an asteroid
I really loved the graphics and mood, but the game play was just extremely boring and offered no real challenge.(special events etc.)
I really liked the graphics and theme implemtation. However, I honestly just feel that it was boring overall.
Really interesting but slow animaions. I also thought it was incredible hard.
The procedural generation is cool and overall interesting. However, I did not really love the art to much. Also, the weapons feel a bit slow and optimized. The enemies for the most part are good and interesting. However, more than once I got locked into a wall without an weapon by a charger. Overall, very cool but could definitely use some optimization.
Interesting spooky game. I really liked the graphics, mood, mechanics, music and idea! It was fun to play overall
I would have loved to play this one and it seemed cool. The problem is this jump... It's impossibly frustrating
Cool game however I feel that the innacuracy is a bit annoying. I like the concept and gameplay though!
I really liked it! I believe while the ai definetly needs some work the core idea and graphics along with style are all there. Definetly a project to continue! While it was a bit basic it has some very refined gameplay.(though maybe add a combat system? maybe there was one and I just didn't get there but still)
Very cool and fun game! In my opinion however the enemies feel quite overpowered and basic. Also, I feel the jump/shoot thing is very monotonous and annoying. Also, I like the randomization however not being able to aim up or down is annoying.
@wassim Thank you so much! I would continue it if I weren't starting 3d games and learning all of that.(The key to the big bosses is to just have a big weapon.)
@datagreed the html version for me needed a reload everytime for some reason on itch.io. It sucks that I messed up the windows version though I hope you will get around to playing it!
@corgiram Thanks for the positive feedback! The reason I did the teleporting back thing was because I had a bug where because of the kinematic rigidbody default collisions didn't work and something else I tried was buggy lol. It was the only bugfree option that ended up working.
@pvp lol thanks. Not much I can do with my squeaker voice.
@zimennik Thanks for the positive feedback!
@commanderstitch Thanks for the feedback! I found the scythe to be an awesome concept and really fun! Before I had a Rectangle collider and also had infinite waves I made one so big they couldn't hurt me lol.
@notb Thanks! I appreciate the feedback!
@kristinnes Sorry lol. I was just so tired when the main stuff was done and didn't want to add a background for some reason. The wall thing is because of a weird bug that was happening. I appreciate the feedback tho!
@b3agz Thanks for the feedback! I regret the teleporting with hitting walls. It was a bug that if I spent more time on I could have probably fixed. There isn't any floor texture because I was so lazy and tired at the end lol.
@victorcrafty Thanks for the feedback! I felt that spending animations would have made me cut multiple other features which I would dislike and while important are less so(in my opinion) in top down games. lol oof
@rustycrow Thanks for the feedback! I really did like the melee system I used and how it was pretty innovative(atleast for me).
@omnipotentindie Thanks for the positive feedback! I really enjoyed the scythe too I probably should have debuffed it somehow but I felt it was to fun
@mcccclean Thanks for the positive feedback! I really appreciate it!
@cheesepencil Glad you enjoyed it! The key to those guys is to walk backwards and have a big weapon
@fanmanpro Thanks for the positive feedback
@nick-rafalski Thanks for the feedback! I really wish now that I did change that and add a background. Atleast if someone reads the comments when stuck they will know lol.
@fibonacci1321 Thanks for the feedback! I know my code is horrible lol
@khaoz-fang I'm slightly confused what you mean. I thought the particles and sounds were enough; could you please elaborate?
@owlycode with the time I had I didn’t even think of it. Thanks for the feedback however! Also, you could just swing slightly back and forth and not need to fully spin for enemies
@raymoclaus Thanks for the feedback! Definetly looking back I should have had a ui piece show if a wave was finished- I just didn't think of it
@johnnysix Thanks for the feedback! Thinking back on it that would have been an awesome feature!
@black-flag Thanks for the feeedback!I ran out of time for animation but I definetly should have tried with it. Also, I now realize that I definetly should have made a background image. Sorry about that!
@copper-aardvark-games Thanks for the feedback! The wall thing was actually a fix because of stupid kinematic rigidbodies. I definetly should have tried to stick to fixing that more however.
@candlesan Thanks for the feedback! For some reason the mouse lag thing is only on my comp. I tried it with a friend on another and it worked for some reason. It's great to know that wasn't just a chance thing!
@skoggy Thanks for the feedback! I think it maybe would have helped with like another color particle effect but honestly, I didn't think of that at the time
@vinay-rao Holy crap, thanks for the review! I won't repeat what I've already said in the previous comments here but address different things.
Thinking back on it, I definetly agree with having a second keybinding after the fact as it would help you to not reach across the keyboard.
Multiple keybindings is something I will definetly do in the future, thanks!
Also, the giant shield did not have an audio cue or spark sadly. I thought it was there even had the sound and submitted. Then I woke up the next morning checked on reviews and then randomly thought of it, mistakes happen I guess.
The player and scythe I spent a fair enough amount of time on however, I soon realized I didn't have enough time to make all of them that quality and opted for a much quicker and worse option.
The music albeit short I really enjoyed also thanks!
Thanks again for the long review!
@jordantanner Thanks for the positive feedback!
@michael-feldman Thanks so much for the positive words! There is a way to prevent it but at the time I did not know of it(theres a cursor lock to the application function call).
Pretty cool game! I really liked the idea and graphics!
I really like the way you did the theme! The visuals were also very nice! It was hard to which was interesting and fun!
Really fun to play! It was a great game and funny!
It was a very fun and cool game. I feel like the the theme was a bit of an after thought however. I really liked the art and general gameplay alot. Its a really cool take on chess that you should continue developing if you feel like it!
Holy crap amazing! My only piece of critique is no ending but it was fun to just run around. This is truly amazing. How did you get so much done and so polished in this short of a time? Also, how many people worked on it?
This was great. It was sadly not difficult since shift just no matter what got you away which is kind of annoying but still fun. Sad that it was so short but it was fun and polished so good job!
@dqmhose I put up a zipped version if thats what you were asking for. If you would try it again it would be greatly appreciated!
@kirbloid and @piturnah Thanks for the feedback! Kirbloid did you enter a highscore? Just wondering since I want to see who can get the highest.
@dqmhose Alot of that was supposed to be in the tutorial that for whatever reason glitches out so I added the text in the desc. I will add a short version now. The hitting weirdness was supposed to be in the tutorial which is you have to attack then hit something. Also, the highscore, did you run through again or reload to check the tab? I ask this since it registered on the service I am using to host it. Thanks for your feedback though! I will add the 6 fuel thing in the desc now.
@ogelgames could you explain a bit more please?
@ogelgames oh in the desc it says you need 6 fuel and you get the fuel from attacking the white stuff.
