LD44 — Your life is currency

Shop till you drop DEAD by IcyLava 2019-04-29T02:37:00Z

Cutesy aesthetic with gruelling Gameplay! Would maybe suggest allowing the player to shoot more times than just 3?

Life Hunter by neonian 2019-04-30T00:37:50Z

Very strong submission, Would benefit from some "end" of sorts, but the game is great as it is!

Death Dungeon 48 by codexus 2019-04-29T02:11:48Z

Nice use of level design and Diagetic UI! Unfortunately that you have to tap each time you want to move but good emulation of early grid based movement systems!

Galaxy Explorer by jondalnas 2019-04-29T02:01:44Z

Cool use of physics! A tutorial would of help under what each structure does since it wasn't super clear.

Demonidle by carlosvVk 2019-04-29T02:29:02Z

Cohesive art style and interesting thematic twist on the clicker genre!

Clunky Bird by ditzel 2019-04-29T01:57:14Z

Didn't fully realise how I would lose health until I died after only taking one health. A tutorial of some description would have been helpful, but in 48 hours that would have been polish!

A Deal with the Devil by OmnipotentIndie 2019-04-29T02:25:17Z

Freaking nice game! Would benefit from having some feedback built in such as when the player loses a live, you only heart a faint sound effect.

We value your life by GettingRekt 2019-04-29T19:27:07Z

Interesting spin on the conventional collecting falling objects games. Difficult to judge landing spot of humans. Player character looks like a fleshlight and I appreciate that!

invertebrae by jjjjason 2019-04-29T01:19:28Z

Pretty neat twist on interactive fiction!

Blood-Tied TD by Raphael Maia 2019-04-29T19:31:38Z

Very visually pleasing and coherent art style. A little confusing wasn't sure how to upgrade / get more blood. A bit of text to help tutorialise would have helped!

Crypt Descend by PapriGames 2019-04-29T20:57:31Z

Reminds me of Darkest Dungeon, simple combat system but easy to understand!

Time Sucker by Nexusviper 2019-04-29T16:15:28Z

Really interesting idea with the time mechanic! Could have been utilised more.

Escape by Tirnam 2019-04-29T02:06:13Z

A little hard to play. Interesting idea of one handed melee attack!

Goblette by Nathaniel Jensen 2019-04-29T20:05:56Z

Had a weird realisation that this game is basically Sonic slowed down with a mace and fighting Rats. That's not a criticism, it is a solid submission!

Bet Your Life by Bleyo 2019-04-29T16:09:09Z

The game is a little confusing to start. One you get into the swing of things it start to make sense!

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Mini Dungeon Tactics by Joror 2022-10-05T21:41:16Z

Really well polished game! Can really see this developing into a full game to compete with Dungeon of Dredmor! Witty dialog to boot.

Queue to Hell by FernandaBatista 2022-10-05T21:05:02Z

Really cool spin on the visual novel concept. Really like the idea of managing the stress level. I found I didn't "lose" when I got to max stress levels but defo something I would play a flesh out version of.

Swamp Dojo by Yngvarr 2022-10-06T19:46:44Z

Really well animated and good use of audio feedback. Quite easy to "cheese" once you've gotten the idea but really cool and could see myself playing a fuller version of this. Thank you for a Linux port!

Helping by MossGames 2022-10-04T18:56:58Z

@yarg I didn't have enough time to balance the randomness or implement any progression. The frustration of not having enough to fulfil the beds is intentional however, I probably didn't land the messaging for that to be obvious.

Helping by MossGames 2022-10-04T19:09:18Z

@orionhart I think it was originally 10 seconds however I shortened it because it felt too long. (I know it breaks the theme) but Game Feel sakes. I designed it mobile first because I wanted to experiment with making a HTML canvas mobile friendly

Pizza Boy by automatonvx 2022-10-06T19:32:35Z

Interesting idea, 100% has so much potential really good use of sounds for feedback. I think the game would have played better if the bike controls were more game. Great addition of a Linux port!

Avery, 10 seconds! by winniehell 2022-10-04T18:53:16Z

Really enjoyable game. Reminds me of Rayman in a way. Really powerful artwork. However, it wasn't clear when the disasters changed / how they affected Avery.

10 seconds order by shemoKam 2022-10-04T17:03:57Z

Really strong aesthetic. Like the minimal use of non-diegetic text. Could probably benefit from trying to fit onto one screen rather than having to switch as that cause a bit too much stress.

Rogue Circuit by Kaje Cimhael 2022-10-04T17:23:20Z

Such an interesting concept. A little uncomfortable to do on a smaller keyboard but I love shoot em ups and this scratched that itch!

Tones of Singularity by marianpekar 2022-10-04T20:48:25Z

Really interesting concept. I don't believe it is the controls that are the problem, for me it was the camera. If it was fixed behind the player I believe the control would naturally feel a lot tighter.

10 Seconds Defense by oda 2022-10-06T19:39:31Z

Really interesting concept. Was a bit confused at the start but once I read the comments I got the hang of it! Really good retro art style and good animations. I think it would of benefited from distinguishing between the "waves" but really good within the limitation!

Gorbo and Gobby's Incredible Third Dimensional Copying Contraption by kristinamay 2022-10-04T21:14:46Z

Awesome idea. Never seemed to be able to "match" the items up. Really strong art style and smooth gameplay / animations.

Sweet Seconds by Jag 2022-10-04T17:19:43Z

Really cohesive art style and good use of minimal in-game text. I think the instruction are a bit too long and the frying itself was a little too "long" and could of benefited from being quicker to increase the tension.

Lil Trash Friend by Lowkey Interactive 2022-10-05T21:31:38Z

Really cool art style and interesting take on the stealth genre. Unfortunately it was a little slow on my low end machine but still really enjoy what I could play!

USS - Space Safari by Raulboo 2022-10-04T17:41:13Z

Cool retro style! Interface and all. Very fitting mechanics. Could rework quick time event to be holding instead of rapidly tap to be more inclusive for people with physical disabilities.

Line Momentum by Itooh 2022-10-04T17:05:43Z

Felt really polished. Progression was a little tough but that was probably down to my reaction speeds. Bonus points for a Linux port!

Guardians of the Nucleus by ChoboChun 2022-10-04T21:04:02Z

Great science themed game. I agree with @budda it would make a really good mobile game for a commute. I like the progression but maybe it could be sped up especially with how many strands are floating on the screen. Something else to consider is enlarging / identifying the break more obviously to help those who may have a vision impairment.

Smash Hit! by Tuile 2022-10-04T18:36:12Z

Strong Retro Art Style. Really simple and accessible mechanics. Good support for multiple types of input. Might have just been me but I think the icons could of benefited from being larger as I struggle to distinguish them. Bonus Points for a Linux Port!

Tower of the Dice God by Skyward4d 2022-10-06T19:59:06Z

Really addictive roguelike. Great fun and very polished! Cohesive UI and Game Assets. One small thing, the text was a little blurry for me but I know how the web is with these things!

Scratching By by rsheepdv 2022-10-05T22:48:41Z

Strong consistent user experience. Everything is click and drag. Awesome Aesthetic choice with UI and Assets. I personally had some trouble with the clicking and dragging. Cook Serve Delicious really has something to watch out for!

ShooterWare by AntonioTheReis 2022-10-05T21:16:33Z

Really enjoy the kinetics of the game, could see myself playing this for hours. Could of benefited from more clear visible feedback e.g. 3... 2... 1 shots left to destroy the hexagon along with some more obvious destruction animations.

Escape from The Aquillus by Alex de la Cour 2022-10-05T22:58:33Z

Really enjoyable game, super polished. This is the sort of tight platforming game that really benefits from a controller so good job making it playable with a keyboard.

Helloween Survivors by MerlinPerlin 2022-10-04T20:53:41Z

Really good idea to auto shoot, really helps minimize the cognitive load for the player. Very spooky and would be cool to see the source code!

Dimension Rush by LunariiSXZ 2022-10-04T17:48:26Z

Really smooth and responsive controls. Absolutely essential for a platformer and good game feel! Art Style really strong. Would be interesting to see the source code and how you made / deployed it?

Platelet Commander by dandeliondino 2022-10-04T17:31:20Z

I really enjoy these science themed game. Really liked the aesthetics. Didn't quite understand the instructions and video would have been much better but I understand with the time constrains.

Venge Of Mari by DileriumL 2022-10-04T18:48:12Z

Strong outing! Not 100% sure about the enemies falling from the sky. I would recommend making them slower so that you can more easily predict where they are going to land.

Energy Out by Govoroha 2022-10-05T21:10:57Z

@govoroha Really interesting game, I liked to sky fortress aesthetics. It ran a bit slow on my low end machine but can see where the idea was heading.

every 10 seconds by goosegarden 2022-10-04T17:09:00Z

Really enjoyed! Gave Devil Daggers vibes but in the best way. Really interest way of fighting the enemies!

No Time For Love by davidtheginger 2022-10-05T22:41:57Z

Really felt like I was hyper-speed dating. A little too overwhelming maybe as I couldn't appreciate the dialogue from the really well designed characters.

LD54 — Limited Space

Tracked by Ava Skoog 2023-10-04T17:13:10Z

Stunning to look at and very atmospheric!

Flower for Euridika by a333 2023-10-03T16:58:19Z

Cool use of ambient sounds to create atmosphere. Fitting aesthetics. A little confused about the direction I was supposed to take but otherwise an interesting start to something!

Astrolabing the Arctic by sebbernery 2023-10-04T17:24:22Z

Really interesting idea. Can defo see an amazing post-jam game coming from this! I felt like I had developed an "easy win" strategy until the next big item came along.

Ink Souls by Neowedge 2023-10-03T17:23:11Z

I really like this game, I agree the movement is a little funny but this is a nothing compared to the legs this idea has.

Deep Dreams by PoshDan 2023-10-03T19:09:19Z

I got worried when I saw this game, then I realised that your objective was a Motherlode clone and I was like cool. This is ok by me! Faithful recreation, good job!

Packed Ride by grizeldi 2023-10-03T17:11:58Z

This is such a good game! Had to read the tutorial twice to understand but once I did. Really enjoy the humour and when I recognised the music that the people were playing I chuckled. Always awesome to see a Linux port!

H.amazon E.mployee L.earning L.ab by Rhoka 2023-10-03T16:39:12Z

This is a really fun game. I agree with the overcooked vibes. I got very overwhelmed with the boxes but that just added to the mood! Felt the movement was a little "icy" but props for producing a Linux!

Boomsqueak by Zomk 2023-10-04T17:10:10Z

Really cool reverse Bomberman game, AI felt like they were "thinking". Great aesthetics!

Midnight Racers by LoicLeGrosFrere 2023-10-03T17:18:35Z

I love the aesthetic of this game. Awesome vibe. Only way I could win was by causing my opponent to spin out.

Lucky Lefty Lugs Luggage by TheBookSnail 2023-10-03T18:33:44Z

Interesting premise, I really struggled with the spinning and thought it was a little too much of a windup. But overall, it is a nice and sharp game!

I also really appreciate the mobile aspect ratio. Would be interesting to know what engine it was made on.

Hidden Heist by khizar30 2023-10-03T17:15:59Z

This is an awesome jam game. Really simple to get. I agree potentially a little too easy but you got the theme across + the aesthetics good. I would suggest potentially changing the colour of the rug as the spotlight blends in and I couldn't see it.

The Grave Shift by acarc 2023-10-03T16:30:29Z

I wasn't able to win the game, but I really enjoy it regardless. Great mood and aesthetics. Would have been helpful to pull up the riddle again as I forgot it when I was going around.

cleanrun by Khmhmm 2023-10-03T18:45:13Z

Really simple but effective game! Clear mechanics, wasn't sure if I was on a time limit or not! Awesome to see a game using Phaser.

Packed to the Gills by npckc 2023-10-03T16:42:20Z

This is loads of fun. Really simple and got it without even reading the instructions!

Tetromino Cleanup by f1tzy 2023-10-03T18:40:49Z

This is a really cool twist on [That Tetromino Game]. I had to go back and revisit the controls a couple of times, but that is my memory! This defo has some legs to run! Big up Linux port always lovely to see and awesome to see Monogame used!

Terrarium by wetrustinprize 2023-10-03T17:54:03Z

This is a really funky game. I like the idea behind it and the theme is really well used. The numbers were a little overwhelming for me, but I think that is a personal preference rather than anything against the game!

Don't Touch The Pylon. by Ezard94 2023-10-03T16:32:58Z

This is a really fun game, I could see myself getting addicted. Hitbox on the Pylon was a little funny but overall. Really cool direction with the theme.

LD59 — Signal

Herd behaviour by Decentsauce 2026-04-21T11:55:33Z

Very interesting idea! It defo has legs and I would defo like to play more of the game if you are able to add more levels! PS. Linux build is always very much appreciated!

Adriift by Ace17 2026-04-21T18:24:35Z

I love the atmosphere and setting of this game. The controllers are a little unclear but once I got the hang of it, it was a really cool experience! Big props for using your own custom engine code! and double points for a linux port!

Sanctuary by MossGames 2026-04-21T17:58:07Z

@pincushion It was supposed to help with making the game feel more like furniture arrangement and then you would go into signal mode to see if you have arranged your furniture correctly to complete the level but when I tested it during the jam, people didn't realise the objective of the puzzles.

Sanctuary by MossGames 2026-04-21T17:58:58Z

@deng Thank you very much, I am currently looking at how I can put a level editor together so people can just build their own levels / share! (Obviously one for after the rating period)

Xsignals by zakchaos 2026-04-21T11:39:51Z

Very brave to attempt to build a multiplayer game for a game jam. The movement could have been smoother but otherwise I think the idea has legs, defo an reminds me of those .io games!

Signal Walk by Bernhard 2026-04-21T12:00:03Z

Very interesting entry, I got stuck on level 3 but I really enjoyed the puzzle elements / styling of the game, simple but cohesive! Big props for using your own custom framework!

Signal Interference by Phoenix Fireflower 2026-04-21T18:07:14Z

Very Interesting Idea, I like the idea and I got to grasps with the mechanics quickly. Cool synergy system with the different cards as well, I can defo see this being a full release!

Star Traveller by nyxkn 2026-04-21T12:09:55Z

Really liked the art style, soundtrack reminded me of Fez! The tuning mechanics might need a little more feedback as I got confused when tuning but eventually got it! Bonus points for a Linux build!

Data Routing by StormSword 2026-04-21T12:16:45Z

Very cool idea! I am wondering if some temporary feedback around where the user is when they are jumping / moving but other nice artstyle and soundtrack!

Broken Jukebox by Pimeko 2026-04-21T11:36:03Z

This is a very cool idea! It left me wanting more. I found it a little difficult to turn the dials with the mouse but that's all I could fault it for.

Radiotower by Custodi 2026-04-21T12:24:26Z

It is giving missile command vibes (in the best way possible) I enjoyed it and the aesthetics are very cohesive!

Piggybacker by Rinevard 2026-04-21T11:43:45Z

Very cool concept, it has a solid progression and a very intuitive gameplay. It feels like a mobile version of Uplink!

Astroscanner by DiElecktrik 2026-04-21T18:18:47Z

This is really cool idea, I love the atmosphere, the progress is quite simple but a solid base to develop upon!

Signal, Frog by SteveOfStevesGames 2026-04-21T12:43:48Z

Interesting concept! I kept squishing the frog :( whole game is very cohesive!

Social Signal by Yueyao Wang 2026-04-21T12:31:22Z

Very interesting concept! The aesthetics are cohesive and I enjoyed it very much!

On My Signal! by brolga 2026-04-21T11:48:35Z

Enjoyed this game, very cool! Different mechanics are introduced progressively a tutorial in game would have helped but an interest concept regardless!

Dignal by Rafa Fiedo 2026-04-21T11:52:42Z

Great work! I enjoy playing it I got a full feel for the game! It would have been helpful if the signal gave you an idea of the general direction

Criminal Does Not Dream of Wizard Boy Policeman by havearollonthefloor 2026-04-21T18:32:42Z

Very Interesting Concept, I can see this working really well as a mobile game, I struggle a bit with a laptop trackpad but otherwise very cool!
