Nice concept, I am little confused though, does the game never end? Good job though!
Interesting game! I like the idea of managing these tasks and clicking on the very-fast-running managers dressed as strawberries! The gameplay is simple, and easy to understand, and its great to see that there is visual and audial feedback in terms of when and what you click.
Like the concept, think out of time to implement more but i get the idea!
I like the concept. Weirdly I think the odd aspect ratio helped it. Could have used some music, some more graphical variation, and dang those managers run fast. Also wasn't sure what was supposed to happen "every 10 seconds" because things seemed to happen much more quickly.
I like the idea of the managing. It would be nice to have some sort of feedback if a bed is in a critical state or something. Just to know that you have to hurry up. And maybe increase the difficulty after some time to get more of a challenge. Good work!
Is there any progression? Is random pure? Maybe it should be tuned, cause i got situation when 4 beds wana shower, managers brougt pills.
@yarg I didn't have enough time to balance the randomness or implement any progression. The frustration of not having enough to fulfil the beds is intentional however, I probably didn't land the messaging for that to be obvious.
@orionhart I think it was originally 10 seconds however I shortened it because it felt too long. (I know it breaks the theme) but Game Feel sakes. I designed it mobile first because I wanted to experiment with making a HTML canvas mobile friendly
It's a fun little game, well done.
Nice little whack-a-mole style game! Really need to catch the assistants or the game is over fast. One type quickly became the stopping point otherwise.
Interesting take on this style of game. Having to split your attention between the beds and the assistants is a neat concept, but feel like it could be improved by not making whatever the assistants provide random, and perhaps have it be based on whatever you have the lowest of in your inventory. As it stands, it feel like it's possible to lose even if you click on every assistant that passes by, which never feels great from a player's perspective.
A nice, chilled game with just the right level of stress and quick reactions when you see the orderlies running across. I played it on the PC and it ran just fine!
This game can easily be mobile.
Trim a few ends and file a few things and you're done. Mainly in balance. I played a few times and lost because I didn't have "medicine" and everyone passed with "shower".
Congratulations.
simple game with nice gameplay. Wonderful timekiller
The banana walks across the screen super fast lol. But it's a pretty fun game to play. Could be nice if the randomization balancing is done a little bit better. Anyway, nice entry!
Nice game idea with simple fun mechanics, I like the addition of "people" passing quickly, it adds to the already existing stress lol
It's a fun little game, and was good while it lasted! I think it got a bit boring really quickly; after about 1 min it stayed basically the same and I just felt like stopping. I think this could be expanded to have more variety and maybe levels to keep things interesting. Nevertheless, great job with this, thank you for the game!
Hey! I enjoyed playing the game, since it was one of the few management style games I came across. There is a lack of progression for now in terms of difficulty, and I think the floor art asset could have been pixel art as well in order to give it a bit more consistency in terms of style. I also feel like there was a missed opportunity in not making the fruits something more "hospital"-ish. Adding some sort of narrative context could also boost the richness of the game.
Still a very nice little arcade-y piece. Hope you had fun making it!
Quite an cool little game. I can always respect an in-game tutorial, and the game was surprisingly well balanced difficulty-wise, besides the issue of running out of certain resources, which makes lasting a long time more about luck than skill. This is probably still better than making the game drag on for a long time until the player gets bored though. And I think that not having a certain resource available when it was needed added some pressure to the game.
None of the graphics really matched each other, which would've bothered me in a normal game, but I think jam games should be given far more leniency, and I actually tend to prefer a weird or unique approach over a boring one. Like I think that making the doctors fruits and simply not elaborating on that is very funny in an absurdist way.
Good work!
It's an interesting start to a game. I would like to see some player agency over which resources could be replenished rather than it being random
Nice, especially for a first try with html canvas, everything works and is easy to understand!
