Weasel Words by eldogg 2021-10-07T07:03:27Z

Weasel Words was fun to play for me! I felt that the graphics and the camera is something you already know needs work, but overall, the idea behind it was fun enough, especially for a typing game. A fun walk in the museum, and I feel smarter already! Glad to have 100%ed it, though not so sure I enjoyed the F rating, haha! Cheers!

Neon Saber by Kaish 2021-10-07T06:58:39Z

The mechanics were on point, the rule sets were clear and I had a blast dying and retrying this! Thanks for sharing this with me!

Russian Connect by YellowKamel 2021-10-07T07:14:32Z

How amazing was this one? I enjoyed it immensely. - Lovely immersive tutorial. -There was a narrative that was intriguing, amazing voice acting - the UI/game elements that needed the player's attention, definitely got it. - I would change up the scene in some simple but very visual way for the player to be able to see the difference between showtime and evaluation time. - I would also love it if I had a bit more time to absorb the story.

Please keep me in the loop somehow, I would love to help out more if you need it.

Emily vs the Unstable Creatures by JPatchZ 2021-10-07T07:22:16Z

The art wowed me from the start, and the overall polish was very surprising!

- Loading time was really slow, but refreshing it a few times worked well! - The sensitivity of the movement was a little high, and reducing it could be interesting! - Cutest merchant ever! Avatars being animated was such a nice touch! - UI/X elements could be clearer - the skip/continue buttons were essentially confusing - Loved the rogue-light elements, and using the flamethrower was very satisfying! - Typos, but it's an easy fix for you guys for sure!

Am glad I got to enjoy this, thanks for sharing! Let me know if I can help out again whenever. ^^

Incomplete Horse Nonsense by Harrison Dunn 2021-10-07T06:43:53Z

This was fun to play!

I felt that the Instructions on the main page is great, but I felt that it was too much text, and the important bits in it, didn't stand out a lot to me. Just a visual thing, but wanted to let you know how I felt about it.

Some of the Horse SFX didn't really sound like horses. When I pressed retry, I would expect some feedback as well when I restart the game. A little more leeway would be nice for when cowboys arrive on the scene, so that I have a bit more time to run away from them. Like, just pop onto the screen, and wait for a second, and then run after the player character.

Overall, I'd say that this was a very fun game, with great replayability value. It was funny in its essence, and I had a great time playing this!

Oh, Hello? by itsBoats 2021-10-07T07:07:12Z

A really fun and unique take on a physics based game where there is an underlying narrative that actually had some thought put behind it! Great settings each time, and the music was immersive for each unique level. I wish that the chapter selection were numbered, so I knew what to choose first, as you saw on my stream. Felt so bad for the poor grandma! Keep up the great work!

Outbounds Taxi by Gisha 2021-10-07T06:48:50Z

I couldn't really play this very well, but the art and music were really nice!

- The UI didn't translate very well to me even though it was very pretty - The inertia is bad when trying to drive. - The other Car AI were very aggressive, and didn't really let me play and discover the game as soon as I drove past them.

Thanks for making this, loved the love that went into the world!

Unstable connection by redsti 2021-10-07T07:11:11Z

A nice idea that needs a bit more work to translate better to the average gamer - but definitely a great job done that could have easily qualified for a compo. While minimalistic, it stays true to the theme and itself quite well. Thanks for sharing this!

CONTROLL by kartiz0l 2021-10-07T07:16:56Z

While I had a hard time properly immersing myself into using the mechanics well, the one-click mechanic by itself made the game very accessible, and I enjoyed what I saw in terms of art and music. Replaying it over and over didn't bother me at all, but it's the kind of game that we would come back to again and again, just to get that sweet sense of mastery. Absolutely smashing job for a game jam!

DRILL BILL by Aurel300 2022-10-11T16:00:49Z

A 10/10 entry. The tutorial is the most immersive one that I've seen this jam, and the art had me wowing the whole time. This is the level we (at least I) aspire to get to. Enjoyed the progression of how the mechanics develop, and it was a joy to play.

Thanks for making and sharing this!

Laika's Revenge by bloodyaugust 2022-10-11T15:10:22Z

I loved the color palette and artstyle. I wish the doggo's movement speed could be upgraded, since with this speed, it's hard to use the Ray Gun to its max potential. I was walking mostly backwards, away from the enemy rather than towards them until I had more Tesla Coil upgrades.

Great entry, thanks for making it! I enjoyed playing and tinkering with it! 10/10 points for doggo!

server.vasm by IcyLava 2022-10-11T15:26:42Z

Not of the entries I could really "play", and as a game designer with little coding sense, I was totally lost. Looks like the devs in the jam enjoyed though, so I didn't leave a shitty rating. I would say, props for making it!

Helping by MossGames 2022-10-11T10:38:01Z

Hey! I enjoyed playing the game, since it was one of the few management style games I came across. There is a lack of progression for now in terms of difficulty, and I think the floor art asset could have been pixel art as well in order to give it a bit more consistency in terms of style. I also feel like there was a missed opportunity in not making the fruits something more "hospital"-ish. Adding some sort of narrative context could also boost the richness of the game.

Still a very nice little arcade-y piece. Hope you had fun making it!

Step Up by Cambryx 2022-10-11T14:55:00Z

Enjoyed this one sooo much! Smooth transition of learning rules within the game, great graphics, puzzles were easy to solve, but you kept things competitive with the scoreboard! Lovely execution, definitely worth being proud of!

Celestial Survivors by candlesan 2022-10-12T11:33:34Z

I loved this! Played it for a while, and enjoyed the progression of levelling up my powers! Impressive work! Was a bit hard to tell some of the upgrades apart in the flavor text, but I think that in terms of gameplay it mattered very little. Thanks for making and sharing this!

Yes, Comrade. by Hugimugi7 2022-10-11T10:25:20Z

Loved the art, music, voice acting, and the funny narrative had me giggling as I played it. Was transported geographically! Had a nice time playing it, but unfortunately had issues with hearing the calls. Great job!

Gravity Crush by AndideBob 2022-10-11T15:35:43Z

One of the games I thoroughly enjoyed, this got full marks from me. The only thing I would nitpick on is the contrast on the UI in terms of color palette. I feel it was too similar in terms of saturation, and could stand out better with slightly brighter colors.

Otherwise, nothing more to add, wonderful to play, thanks for making it!

Beardadette and the Eternal Hiccup by Honest Dan 2022-10-11T15:54:38Z

I think this game is one of the most solid entries of the jam. The art was so great, that it could easily have been a game that was prepping for EA or full release.

I think that there were some issues with how the colliders worked, and the hiccup mechanic may be the culprit around it. Speaking of, I found the hiccup mechanic quite smart and fun to think up! The enemies that got in the way were really annoying, and that added to its charm.

Props for making this, I enjoyed playing it!

We Stole Aliens by grizeldi 2022-10-11T14:33:47Z

Unfortunate that I couldn't play this for long, but this looked like one of the most solid entries I've seen this time around. Everything on point. The only thing - which is what threw me off really - is that the specs required to play were quite high. It stuttered a bit, and I was sad I couldn't play it properly, haha!

I also agree with what Douwe-ravers said about potentially indicating to the player when they're close to getting caught. Maybe change in music or lighting, if you don't want to give away exact distance.

Awesome entry, great job guys!

Call It A Day by Stenyin 2022-10-11T15:00:10Z

Great music, especially great graphics, and the game just feels so polished already! The colliders were a bit tricky, and I wish there was a way to properly break some of the bones when throwing them. I enjoyed it a lot still, and I think this has room to become a full-fledged game with some more mechanics and content!

Great entry, thanks for making it!

Crazy Carrier by Attala 2022-10-11T15:56:22Z

A well designed game! I wish I could have figured out how to move the aircraft in time to avoid the faster aircrafts that were incoming, and the drag mechanic had worked better for me. Otherwise, the music was immersive, and and the mood was well-set!

Thanks for making and sharing the game! Hoping to see this one evolve more!

The decasecond by Shakedimus 2022-10-11T16:04:21Z

I had fun discussing the questions and tinkering with the UI. One of those social games I would love to play in a group and see how everyone does. I found it fun that you managed to come up with a non-time-limit oriented mechanic for the theme.

Thanks for making and sharing this!

SquareMan by Flying Dog Fish 2022-10-12T11:18:52Z

The nostalgia in this one! Loved the Pac-man throwback, loved the voice-based sfx slightly more. Would be fun to see more mechanics that help make the game your own! Thanks for making and sharing this!

What's the rules? by Pusheeneiro 2022-10-11T15:37:19Z

I had some trouble selecting and dragging the items to where it needed to be sometimes, and I think it was a potential collider issue. Otherwise, I enjoyed learning what to do for each game level, and the puzzles weren't too hard. Great job making this!

Reboot by Astrydax 2022-10-11T15:44:54Z

I tried this out, and but had trouble understanding the gameplay based on what was there. Seems there is something around the cursors like I suspected, but couldn't figure out! Nifty time mechanic though, and the graphics were super neat.

Thanks for making and sharing the game!

Elephant Egg by Sprotex 2022-10-11T14:13:40Z

I enjoyed the in-game soundtrack, but admit the singing in the intro wasn't really that great to listen to for me. The game art and mechanics was solid, and the fact that I could finish it in one sitting was great! There weren't many chests spawning anymore after the first few, so the keys kinda became useless. Otherwise, cute artstyle!

Thanks for making this!

Field O' Fiends by Baconeta 2022-10-11T15:39:04Z

Definitely a strong entry, enjoyed playing this, as well as the pun around the name of the boss. The progression of the player made sense and was fun to see the evolution of attacks. The day night cycle was decently done, and I loved the character artstyle.

Thanks for making and sharing this!

A Handy Job by 0X_VOID_X0 2022-10-11T15:40:45Z

Genuinely lovely game, had its share of funny moments, and the mechanics were quite varied for a jam entry! I wish the elements were easier to tell apart and slightly larger. I think that would have boosted the fun element, but I still enjoyed it when I started to manage playing it better!

Thanks for sharing this, it's a great entry!

Endless Duel by goldenXD 2022-10-11T13:48:16Z

I enjoyed the different ways you visually told the player what was happening. HP Regen? Bar right above the player and you can see it refill without being told. The timer stood out well. So in terms of UI/X, you did great.

While, I did want the extra time after killing a wave to mean something, the amount of time I had between waves got pretty short anyways. If there had been some SFX, it could have been even more immersive. Doesn't really feel like an endless duel but more a matter of time for now, as you can't really avoid all the enemies, and have a limited HP regen. If there were items on the floor, and rather increasing the strength than the number of enemies, I could see this become potentially endless!

Good work though, enjoyed the game!

Count Down Dracula by Guilloteam 2022-10-11T15:59:19Z

This one was genuinely amazing. I was at first put off by the screenshots, but once in-game, oof! The immersiveness of the art and music hit me, and I enjoyed playing it a fair bit. I did come across the bug where the colors got a bit buggy, and wish the hitting mechanic worked better for me, but otherwise, definitely a game to prep for full release.

Good luck with it, and I hope to see more of it. Great job this time around!

10 Seconds Or Less by RTDMFN 2022-10-11T15:25:36Z

I liked the design of the map, but it wasn't one of the entries that I enjoyed.

There was a fair bit of lagginess on the web version, and there were instances where I drove right over the blue spot for delivery and it didn't detect my car.

Thanks for making it, I think the art was solid!

Smash Hit! by Tuile 2022-10-04T15:21:19Z

@flanne Thanks for the feedback! Am glad you found it fun. We'll be balancing difficulty more after the jam period is over.

Smash Hit! by Tuile 2022-10-12T11:34:53Z

@bloodyaugust @quabmara @honest-dan Our game is now playable on the web version on itch, so if you still feel like trying it out, please do!

Smash Hit! by Tuile 2022-10-12T11:42:37Z

Thank you @goldenxd @mossgames @lunarruin @lonagi for noticing our efforts and enjoying out game!

We're thinking of making the icons slightly larger, but still want them to be harder to tell apart as the game progresses. We have 3 sets of icons that the selection pool is randomly chosen from, but we're going to revamp them after the jam. We want it to stay somewhat frustrating like @cambryx found it, while adding in more visual and sfx cues that @alpalcalad @flying-dog-fish @khullag @candlesan mentioned! We actually ran out of time, and had no one taking point for sound, so we made do for the jam! Thank you guys so much for the feedback!

We had a blast, hoping to get the needed votes to get ranked! Missed the train a bit by not having the web version til this point.

Smash Hit! by Tuile 2022-10-17T09:26:41Z

We appreciate the support @krasimir-balchev @cobrajs @quabmara @dhim @nakami and @roka-josh ! Thanks for getting us over 20 ratings!

@dhim We wanted it that way, but there isn't enough of a visual cue for the jam version that you see why that is.

@krasimir-balchev We already fixed all the things that were problematic/unfinished for the jam, in the unreleased version that'll come out soon after the jam is over! Thanks for your suggestion though, now there's a slight "shake" feedback!

Do it slowly by epeachyband 2022-10-11T16:06:00Z

I also didn't quite manage to play this well. The menu had me quite impressed, and I was even a little disappointed that the mechanic in-game wasn't related to rotating things faster or slower, since it would have been a great teaching moment from the beginning.

I think 10s was just too short to manage covering all those platforms. Nevertheless, a decent entry. Thanks for making and sharing it!

MineKeeper by flanne 2022-10-11T15:21:29Z

Loved playing it, the art was great, and the gameplay itself was really fun!

Unfortunately, I didn't win despite beating all the waves and more. Took me a while to figure out that I could jump over blocks. The ui was also a little lacking for me. I also felt like the space inside the tower right where I get off the ladder was a little problematic for me to do my upgrades.

I enjoyed the game itself so much, thanks for making it!

Bork by parsonB 2022-10-11T15:51:28Z

Graphics and music were quite immersive. Loved the aesthetic in general. I felt like the rules didn't flow too well together, and I would have benefited from being able to see how the AI character chose their dice. Loved the touch where the dice colors changed! I had trouble reading the jokes, but it was nice that there was a touch of humor.

Thanks for making and sharing the game!

Find the Rocket by quabmara 2022-10-11T14:24:55Z

Other than the hitboxes for the enemies touching the player being a little unclear to me, and the small bug where some enemies spawn strangely, the game is pretty clean! The art is great, and stood out straightaway. Enjoyed the bumpy soundtrack and felt chill despite being chased around so much! Great entry, thanks for making it!

Frosten by Kaech 2022-10-11T15:29:11Z

I remember enjoying playing this on stream, and getting way too relaxed over the music! Like I mentioned then, I think the background art tends to distract the player from seeing everything too well, and the earlier levels could have more to do within the 10s while we're waiting. The point where it solidifies is also tricky, and I had a hard time getting the timing right.

Otherwise, a very solid entry! Thank you for making it, I think getting to choose in which order the blocks spawn was a nifty mechanic!

Time control in 10s! by Eager 2022-10-11T15:47:46Z

I tried this out, it's one of the rare games where there is an actual use of humor! There was a narrative, and also a bit choppy in terms of how it flowed, I liked what it was trying to do.

The inconsistencies of the art stood out to me, but that was about it. Thanks for making the game!

CART CRASHERS by screenshake 2022-10-11T15:33:21Z

This was really fun to play! I enjoyed having my run as a cart shuttle, and stacking up the carts was kinda fun! Great job triggering nostalgia with the mechanics and art. The music did a great job in setting the mood.

I wish there were fewer requests spawning, and there were potentially other things I could do, but for a jam entry, this was fantastic. Thanks for making it!

Shopping spree by Khullag 2022-10-11T14:05:07Z

Solid jam entry! Enjoyed the frustration-provoking mechanic, shame you had to cut features, but that's how it often is with a jam game!

Missed having some music (or it wasn't running), but the SFX does its job by giving the required feedback. I don't think I have much fun playing physics games, but this was one where I can figure out how to do things fairly easily.

The apples were hard to scan, since they would just roll around, and I was wondering if it would work to stack all the incoming fruits of the same kind on the weight machine and then scan them all?

Also, a lot of things to read on the board, but the game starts straightaway! Would be nice to give the player a moment to absorb the rules somehow.

Thanks for making this!

Labyrinth of Darkness by lonagi 2022-10-11T16:02:36Z

While I had an unfortunate laggy time with it, the music did its job in immersing me well into the gameplay. The mechanic was decent, but I felt that the warp every 10s didn't really throw me off as much as it could.

Thanks for sharing and making it, was fun to play a few levels of it!

It cannot die so you must not kill it. by LordL75 2022-10-11T15:49:24Z

Loved the FOV effect, and the UI and color coding within the game did its job! I felt that with a bit of balancing, better combat and art, this could be a solid game! More emphasis or feedback on the sunflower would also build the context better into the game.

Thanks for making the game and sharing it!

LD54 — Limited Space

Safe n' Snug by Tuile 2023-10-05T18:30:44Z

@adele-illustration @ninai Thank you for the compliments! The game is largely unplayable as the execution on it was completed failed - I definitely put my heart and soul into the game design and art, but it is what it is. - I'm actually looking into making this a full-fledged game now, as I'd like to see what it would look like once it is finished and playable.

- I especially appreciate the feedback on more categories and so on - will definitely keep that in mind!

- We'll be taking the game itself down, and leaving the page up as an "Unfinished" entry - It was fun, but there isn't really a point to getting scored this time.
