I like the pixel assets used. Nice variation in gameplay having different 'modes'.
Fun game! The "out of ammo" dialog cracked me up.
omg, this game REALLY reminded me berzerk Atari game!! I had so much nostalgic feelings... Thank you!
I especially loved the colors of the game. Overall, it was fun to play !
Simple but clean gameplay loop, Good Job!
Fun little top down, I liked the different game modes that got cycled through enemy AI had some spawning issues every now and then it seemed like
Fun casual game! The gameplay loop was a bit simple after a while though, and I eventually upgraded the building tool so much that I could instantly place hundreds of them and rocket around the map . Would have been nice if there was a bit more direction, finding the rocket just took a lot of wandering around.
A very nice aesthetic and solid simple gameplay. Can't ask for much better than that.
I like your game! I never found the rocket though, did I miss something? Or is that the hole point? :)
I like the soundeffects and graphics. It has it's own style that I like. The Windows executable is asking for a .pkg file btw. Maybe you could take a look at that
@wouter52 Appreciate your feedback. I agree with you, the rocket is hard to find, maybe I will add an arrow pointing at it after this jam is over..
@quabmara oh, so there is a rocket? Then I'll look for it another time :-) I'll put your game back on the list then, thanks!
I like the art and the general concept of this game! I also really like the concept of changing the player's available actions every ten seconds. Great Job!
The presentation immediately got me and the concept is great, especially with the mix of build and upgrade (I played quite a few times in order to finally find the ship and I'm still uncertain if upgrading works only for a limited time, or if upgrading one thing de-upgrades another, but it was very cool anyway). Great!
@demigiant Thank you! And yes there is a limit for upgrades.
I could never find the ship! After several minutes I gave up :(. Anyway... I killed a lot of yetis haha. Good job, good implementation, it happened to me that the shoot and eat bonus never came out, and a lot of yetis were piling up, it was funny. Well done!
Heey! Such a funny game overhere!! haha, that´s a cool idea, even If those NPCs were lagging a little bit.
I enjoyed it, at some point I was waiting to find the scape and finally I found the rocket. What I missed in this experience about finding the rocket was the basic animation walk of the NPCs, some of them also were stucked between some trees and other flying.
The colors chosen, I think was a very good option, the main character looks like carismatic. I missed some narrative content here because I would like to know more about that guy try to scape from those monsters.
The mechanic of the shoot, barreers and health. I think it's also very nice!
I really like the graphic style. Took me a few rounds but got to the ship in the end. Nice concept
I wish I could see my score on the game-over screen. So I could tell if I'm making progress. Is there an end-game? I was kind of running around killing monsters or blocking them with roadblocks, but that didn't seem to do much. I think I got through a few cycles, upgrades my build speed, fire rate, and ate. I think I would have played a bit more if it was clear that I'm playing towards some goal other than surviving. Still it was interesting having to switch between building, shooting and fleeing. Thank you for the game.
Very nice visuals and good, fitting music. SFX are slight and pleasant - also very fitting.
The concept with available abilities/weapons changing every 10 seconds seems popular this jam . But you implement it very well, and the abilities themselves are nicely balanced.
Some additional animations on the player and the enemies would be nice, and would provide more player feedback.
Generally, an awesome jam job!
@ubershmekel Appreciate the feedback! Adding a score is a cool idea. And the goal of the game is to find the rocket, which is hidden on the map. But I have to admit that it can be hard to find..
Other than the hitboxes for the enemies touching the player being a little unclear to me, and the small bug where some enemies spawn strangely, the game is pretty clean! The art is great, and stood out straightaway. Enjoyed the bumpy soundtrack and felt chill despite being chased around so much! Great entry, thanks for making it!
Nice game. And was a lot of fun to play. Is there actually a rocket? I ran around for 6 minutes but never saw one. There were a couple of glitches, like enemies getting stuck on each other, but nothing game breaking. Graphics are great, and the audio had my had bobbing away. Excellent entry.
Good stuff :8ball:
