Great game overall! Humor 9000
Graphics, assets, and models look really polished and great! Gameplay might get a bit stale if extended for a long period of time, next time maybe add variation somehow? Great game overall.
Really polished! Game mechanic with the ghost is unique. Interesting take on the theme!
Fun.
What do you mean by "hard to understand?" You can press E to aim a cash gun, just follow the mission given to you by the NPC.
Also, sorry about the lag.
@tubadude99 You did.
@ruddiculous You can zoom out by scrolling. E to aim.
I intended it to be a lot easier, but I accidentally forgot to tweak some enemy values.
Thanks, @blaster391. It got really rushed toward the end but we tried our best to get a functioning game out there. And you can thank @CaptnJacob for the death sound, lol. I accidentally set its volume too high related to everything else, so... :P
Thanks guys for the feedback!
@luigi-rizzon The first mission has a bug on some computers, where the first mission gives you a blank black textbox. Did you get that? I'm sorry but I have no idea why that happens.
Loved the cool concept! It's very unique. I'd love to see a Post-LD game like this with some kind of progression.
Great game! It definitely needs a little more progression and/or content but it is great for what it is. The game engine is very cool too
OMFG I am a huge diehard Mega Man and Mega Man X fan and this is amazing
please continue development post-LD
Also, for all those who found not-Metal Man hard, you guys have got to play some more Mega Man, c'mon :P
The polish on the game is incredible
Solid entry, I really liked assembling the car and driving around!
Some things that I think you should improve on is explaining the actual game, for example it takes a while to figure out that the thing in the middle is actually a chassis and you're supposed to pick up and drop something on it.
3D voxel art is always fun! The game is short but the concept is really interesting, I'd look forward to a longer post-LD game maybe
Great game overall! Maybe some polish on the combat mechanic would be nice, but a really great improvement would be a better sense of progression (like obtaining new items or weapons.)
Quite a long game, very good. There are a couple of collision glitches when ducking, but they're fun.
This is the perfect game. Nothing else to say other than 90/10
This game was fun! It's odd that some parts only spawn once in a couple years though
Sorry about the long wait times. There is still a level after the fabricator finishes. This LD our scope was a bit too big compared to time available, so there were a couple of issues when it comes to playtesting.
Thanks for all your feedback!
@hyperscope I would like to make a post-jam version sometime in the future, that's a good idea
@jam373, @tubadude99 composed the music, thanks!
@justcamh Sorry, that's a small bug that sometimes occurs. The easiest fix is just to close and restart the game a couple of times until it fixes itself, I think it occurs with some collision thing. Also try holding down **W** while the game loads in if that doesn't work.
@josephgaiser Thanks! I spent a little too long on the terrain and world, but people like it so :)
@anonymous Yeah, but I feel like going a bit faster would make it really difficult to move precisely, so would it be a better option to just move it closer in a post-LD build?
Great game!
@lone-wolf How do Linux users usually get by playing LD games? Do you guys usually use Wine or a VM or something?
Your link is broken...
Great game, it was fun kiting and dodging enemies.
It's a fun game with a pleasant artstyle. Like everyone else, attacking wasn't needed. The only improvement I could think of is some kind of in-game help menu, to help people figure out the controls without looking back at the LD page.
Got to 303, the isometric style is so cool. Great game!
This was a cool game! It was a bit hard to figure out what to do at first, but once I got it, it was a blast. The e-mails were hilarious.
Maybe you could make the `tutorial` a bit more comprehensive, and have a separate `progress` command to tell you what to do next
Great game and concept! I got awkward silence every time though.. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
Fun game! love the concept and the voice-overs
I loved this game! It's so fun trying to balance being in the conversation with fighting the boss, it's really interesting
Great concept and execution!
The bar never went outside the green for me though, even when all rabbits were dead...
"The code execution cannot proceed because libgcc_s_dw2-1.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem"
Sadly I get this error on trying to run the game.
EDIT: Downloading that DLL from the internet and putting it in the same folder fixes the issue.
Fun game, though I ran out of money and servers a bit quickly (I think servers develop faults too quickly, or it costs too much to repair them)
Great concept, you should expand the game
Loved the multiplayer aspect, It's a simple yet well-executed game concept
Hello! I fixed the broken links! I'm not sure who rated, though, cuz it wasn't even up, I would appreciate ya'll trying to play again.
@noahnewline @blue-pin-studio @nicko-klyukay @yoshify @ricna @yinian @jasonsumm1
I fixed the links, terribly sorry (the itch.io page was complete *but not public*, it was still a "draft")
I am curious how we got 5 ratings without any game to play, though...maybe people are rating without playing games....or it's just based on the images
@bastian-bresson The sheep actually destroy the fences over time, the more sheep pushing the fence the faster it gets destroyed.
Thanks for the feedback everyone!
@aaranos I noticed that too actually, when testing, but I still have no idea what object they're targeting over that side. Also, thanks for the feedback, I didn't notice that a lot of the python packages were unused, so I'll be sure to trim down the packaging a lot next time!
Made it to 109 seconds! Great execution! Also, uh, you *can* change direction while moving for some reason
Might want to add a .ZIP download, because not everyone has 7-Zip
Great game, great concept, great execution!
Fun game! It's pretty hard since there are lots of waves.
I wasn't able to play the game, extracting and downloading worked fine, but nothing happens when running the ClickTheTraps.exe. Looks great, though.
This was awesome! Super innovative with the clones not doing exactly what you do each time, and being able to play out alongside clones. If this was a lot longer, it would be even more fun! Some improvements could be making the player's rotation a little bit more snappy, sometimes it would take a few seconds before the player finally turned to face the mouse.
It was a bit confusing at first, but overall great submission! As others mentioned the visual style is nice. It would be better if there was a tutorial and you didn't have to click so much (multipliers). It gets expensive fast!
Very unique! It's a really short and sweet text-based game, tells a great narrative. The only thing I can think of to improve it is to make it longer! :P
Great game! The levels are super fun to wind around and it introduces more difficult challenges really well! As others said it's really addictive lol :P
This was really fun! All of the graphics seemed really, really polished! As other have said the idea is super innovative too, with a winding infinity loop. Some improvements could be better collision animations and maybe something to prevent you from going way out of the circle. Awesome work! :)
@chris-mulholland Yep, it sometimes takes a while to find the coughee masheen in the chungus labyrinth. But it is still in there, somewhere!
@flaterectomy Thanks for the feedback!
The red and white light actually leads you to this little ramp with a "freedom" sign just over the edge of the wall (that you can't reach :P). It was just for fun
Awesome work! The art is extremely polished, and the platforming mechanics are on point. Only improvement I can think of would be more directions.
I think the graphics and mood were excellent! Some potential improvements could be making the mineral mining work from more angles, and getting the gun to shoot where you aim instead of off-center.
This was really fun! The mechanic reminds me of the Stuck in a Loop theme from last Ludum Dare. I really like how much you can strategize and plan out your movements so that your future self survives.
This game is really, really, cool and fun! The different modules as well as variety of enemies and environments makes gameplay really varied and fun. Some improvements might be to make the controls easier to use, and to also add a short interactive tutorial to help the player learn what the different modules do, and how the power system works.
Got a score of 304. I think the graphics are really nice, and the soundtrack complements the gameplay really well. The game doesn't really incorporate the theme *too* much, but that's fine. I do think that the gameplay can be quite difficult, an improvement might be to increase the FOV of the player or the map so you can see more enemies.
This seems more like the base for a game to be built on, the track is interesting but the vehicle is difficult to control, and the camera controller is very awkward. Also, I couldn't really see where the theme is incorporated into the game. However, if you polished up the vehicle controller and the camera, I think it would be significantly more fun to play. Maybe also add in multiple laps around the track, or multiple areas.
@alec I just uploaded a Linux build, but have not tested it so it may be buggy. Can you test it out?
I really, really love the graphics & aesthetic of the game. Super consistent too. The gameplay (dropping and raising the ship + puzzles) is tight and responsive as well. With a lot more development, I could see this as some complete fast-paced metroidvania-style game with some sort of plot beyond just the puzzles.
I loved the soundtrack and the visual contrast. Great work! Looks a lot like an NES/Gameboy Color game.
Awesome game! Very polished considering you made it in your own engine.
Very funny dialogue, on the original version the bottom half was cut off for me though. Awesome game!
Hi @lisyarus, thanks for the feedback! You need to drop sheep into the cannon to launch them, which delays the descent of the meteor.
@foursay I'm actually using a game engine called UPBGE - It's a fork of the Blender Game Engine!
Awesome art, polished gameplay. Got a high score of 124 :)
Very difficult, but it is fun once you get the hang of the button placements. The sound effect for the door closing is a bit jarring though.
As other commenters have said, this is a very interesting concept! I didn't really feel the "ten seconds" aspect of the theme in-game though. The models and soundtrack are great & consistent, but I think the gameplay needs a lot more testing. Most of the game is a point A -> point B fetch quest, and the moped's physics usually feel sluggish. I think it could be a lot more fun if the physics were more dynamic, so you could go very fast and drift around to get the pizzas faster. Overall, nice job, but could be a lot more fun with some polish and testing.
Awesome soundtrack and great gameplay! Very nice use of the theme. One improvement might be to add more visual cues and also to address how long it takes to destroy the last few enemies in each stage.
Great game! It feels very polished, from the art to the animations and colors. I really liked the little visual cues and the player movement. Felt a bit like agar.io but instead of eating things you sort them  One improvement might be to add a bit more challenge in the form of a puzzle or something, currently the gameplay is very simple (but satisfying)
The voice acting is the best part about this game, it makes everything really engaging. Gameplay is simple and easy to understand, and the bit with the radio and batteries is great. All things that other commenters have mentioned before, but it's worth another mention. Nice work! :D
I really enjoy the procedurally generated tree segments. It has such a great relaxing mood and the story keeps you invested in growing each tree. Great work! It might be good to add some tool tips to each garden tool in case the player forgets what each one does.
Quite a fun game! I enjoyed the simple yet fast gameplay. I did find that the rockets were just overpowered compared to all the other weapons, so you could just use them alone and avoid incoming shots. Also, one improvement I would suggest is to change the explosion sound effect. The other sounds were fine, but the explosion sounded very bitcrushed and I had to turn the volume down. Overall, awesome job! Very solid LD entry.
Very all-around solid game. The voice acting and animations were high quality, and gameplay is quick and fun. I do think the UI could use a touch-up, but apart from that great work! π
Nice work for your first LD game! Like the other commenters, I had issues with the mouse-look script but apart from that, it's a nice and simple game. It would have been nice to maybe have more levels, and make the first one easier. Also, the enemies sometimes spawn in an impossible-to-dodge location. Good luck to you in the future!
I made it to 113 seconds! I love the gameplay and rythm Screenshot 2022-10-08 082022.png
Very fun and polished game! The core game loop is simple but very effective, I did experience some bugs with turning around and dashing real quickly but it wasn't a big deal. The art is fabulous and really consistent, and works well with the gameplay.
Fun game! I enjoyed the concept and the 10 seconds to respond was a great take on the theme! It was also quite funny at times. Some improvements I would suggest include making the art cleaner, especially for the UI - the suspicion meter was difficult to read at times. Additionally, maybe add a timer in one of the corners so you know how much time you have left for each decision. Looking forward to more games like this
This is the most addicting game I have played so far this LD! You have captured my interest with nothing but circular dudes and many farts :joy:
Great game! The style was nice, and the movement felt great. Some things that might improve it a lot:
- Controls: there weren't any in-game controls info so I didn't figure out you could dash till I checked back here...mostly my fault though :P - Lives system: Instead of 3 lives, I think it would be much better if you had infinite tries on each level, would make it feel more relaxing (and probably addictive lol) - Maybe add more visual feedback effects, so it feels even nicer.
Overall great entry, just needs a bit of polish. Looking forward to more like this in the future :)
Great submission! I love the art and the gameplay is engaging. It's almost addictive after a certain point. The difficulty is quite high sometimes though, and one improvement I can think of is to change the enemy colors a bit. Although the colors are very consistent, this also makes it hard to differentiate the player, the turrets, and the enemies sometimes. Apart from that, awesome job!
Fun casual game! The gameplay loop was a bit simple after a while though, and I eventually upgraded the building tool so much that I could instantly place hundreds of them and rocket around the map . Would have been nice if there was a bit more direction, finding the rocket just took a lot of wandering around.
Fun gameplay, the art and soundtrack feel really polished although simple. Like other people mentioned, the difficulty curve is pretty high. Maybe increasing the field of view and making the rock placement less random could help. Nice work!
I agree with many of the other comments, It was a very unique and interesting game but it would definitely help if there was
1) More direction, it was difficult to understand what exactly the players need to do, even with the description. An in-game tutorial or help menu at least would help greatly.
2) More streamlining. As another commenter mentioned, there were many unused recipes and items from minetest that weren't really used in gameplay. It made it a bit confusing when using the inventory.
3) Faster gameplay. I believe you mentioned the cycles are 15 minutes long or so, but most players can only play each game for much less than 15 min (depending on interest). The cycles were very long and unless a lot was happening during them, it can get boring fast.
That being said, it's really cool to see a minetest based game, and a lot of the art and assets were pretty good. I look forward to your future projects :D
Great game! The death sound was pretty harsh though lol :joy: I was playing on the web version, maybe it was bugged but it sounded like a million orchestra hits.
Thanks! To beat the first(second?) level, you want to turn the red squares green by shooting them, and enter the bright white wormhole. I've added a note to the description. Would have added more in-game tooltips, but as yall guessed didn't have much time this weekend :)
Just added a linux release, although I can't test since my VM can't use the GPU properly lol
@ayxs Sorry about the UI, it is still buggy and I'm working on fixing my imgui implementation for the future. There is a mouse sensitivity setting in the settings menu (in the UI), which might help address the controls. As for the lava clipping and music, we're aware of the issue but didn't quite have enough time to polish those up and make them more cohesive. Will definitely keep those in mind next time, thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for playing! @trioxxdreaper @shakirovich when the counter reaches 17 and says "Escape!" make sure to fly through the ring at the end of the level to go to the boss room!
This is too good
Nice entry! It might be good to have some clearer direction for where the player should go, or at least some more interactions in the desert (enemies, puzzle, etc) between the gas stations. That can help keep the player more engaged.
Very simple and yet so fun. 10/10, Clara is OP
The pixel art is awesome, would love to see future development. (maybe you could have some kind of mystery that unravels over time as the player gains upgrades)
