it seemed so cool from sceenshot, but it was laggy and kinda disapointing
@mikeality I am really happy with your review actually.
I was going for a satire poke at how half of the games are just a playable character jumping around getting power ups. So because obviously a human = nothing you have to That's why you sell your body to get power ups. Also I hate platforming games. That's the reason you lose if you get every upgrade and the only way to get the true ending is to use a pile of !!FEATURES!!.
The controls/camera turn off people a bit to fast. Some features are too unreliable and some things are missing feedback that would have been fun. Of all the people I watched trying it, only one person realized that he could trick the upside-down turtle into flipping itself instead of punching it.
I am not a game developer and Sabbath limits my time to 24 hours so I knew I wasn't going to make a high quality game so I decided to just have fun and shoot for getting 1 star :koala:

your normals on the robots could use a bit of work. if you add a bevel modifier it would look quite a bit nicer. but i love this game.

wow you werent joking about being pure c++. reminds me of grade school programming my TI84+ SE simple but fun game fact that it fits in 300 lines of c++ code is impressive to me. looks at the 300MiB empty scene unity games. O7

huh never would have guessed its unreal engine. impressive to have graphics and sounds in compo game. its high enough inertia that is fun.
the bear animation is really great! the art is all really good, but it feels like it could be blended better. maybe shadow? i don't understand the timer on the apple.
this reminds me of a game i played on my calculator! nice work, you can scale this up and it will be a really good game. i felt that i really started to get bogged down longer it played.

huh i was expecting this to be low pace cow game but the juggling mechanic was quite fun.

so update: i impersonated you. i see whats going on and i love it. now im extra sad i don't have anything to harvest. despite very minmal i gave very high score overall its super cool!
i enjoyed the game, its well made but the controls make me sad way to much mouse moving. also way to much rng. want a mode where i can pick my hand just maximize score.
wow shockingly balanced game :thumbsup: i love city builder and racons. i find the ui a bit too hard to read but its workable. a bit of polish id be willing to pay money for this

i do love that loading screen! it really sets the mood. audio way too loud and my hitboxes are really weird. but got a nice laugh out of it so thatnks!

I didn't expect to see a game in space, wonderful job. the controls are tight and i really loved it. bit jittery sprite though. love the arrow that tells you where the ship is would be really funny if their was a mothership per screen. also audio clipping was kinda not fun

You did a ton of work! great job! I made same mistake of having too many thing. Next year im spending half of my time making the game easy to play. I feel like enimes don't really give you time to react and I wasn't sure what to do.

more seriously i wish there where more mushrooms if you just went all in on the mushrooms it would have been top mood
note to players: the android build on the play store is too out of date to play this game. use desktop version. fixed - i downgraded the server so now it works with play store version.
@geckoo1337 make sure to connect to our server to play our game. its very much not minecraft.
thanks for feedback @jitspoe, yeah the gameplay is not evident right away and without walking friends through playing it on discord i don't think ive seen anyone actually play it properly. it need a lot of tutorial and guide. and honestly making pvp multiplayer game that takes 3 weeks to play for a gamejam was not a great decsion. to say what we made: if not in minecraft we made it. alien stuff and such.
@zungryware thank you so much for your feedback. i def did not have enough time to do everything and i quickly regretted building on using mine test game as base where the off-brand mine-craft features came from. it made things much more annoying to develop and made it unclear what to judge. i thought giving the humans the ability to ecape into the bowls of the earth to get good gear to fight the aliens who are trying to harvest the plannet would be cool. like underground resistance fighters. the screwdriver is actually really important because the hive building mechanics are orientation dependent, and totally opaque. aliens can build additional hive but the mechanism for doing so is also never told. the alien win by harvesting the planet. the victor will be declared at the end of the 3 weeks, but doingso is based on humans deciding the victor. so far we have just done regional skirmishes and those should have been the focus but for some reason i thought a game that would only get played once would be cool. but rn aliens are cleary winning they have harvested so much of the map and have many hive hearts whereas the humans have all been harvested. but yeah there is no winning for the humans. it is inevitable they will all be harvested given enough time and nobody has broken that rule. not a single nanoforge has been claimed or protected. i should have given humans bases to start with to make it clear you should defend this. also most aliens don't understand how to harvest biomass effecently ive seen them all each do only half. either just spreaading it using eggs or just using the consume ability to quick harvest (its the alien face looking thing you can make in hive). a few people figured out the unit spawning. next jam im dedicating half of my time to making it clear how to play the game. only one human in history of server built a rocket launcher. which is sad because its a lot of fun to use.

himm i didn't expect a puzzle game. i dissagree with reviews that say add upgrades. the inclusion of volume button is super appricated. but really fun thank you for the game :)
i loved the tutorial and i feel like it captured the essence of slime rancher. the level is really impressive also make sure to play more games to get more reviews. not jumping is annoying i expected movement options. and locking me in place for tutorial is a game crime
i wish you provided a video of gameplay. i love that cards are playing fields. looks like more effort then making a video game XD very clean professional.
I was sad that the game was so short and it seems that it is random which level you get next? I think that you need to show the footprint of the towers before we get them i expected the harvest foodprint to be very diffrent, but you learn it pretty fast.

damn i didn't expect such good graphics and presentation in a game jam game. esp for just one developer. the mechanics are intresting but the procedual art is the most impressive bit. made me go back to old reviews and lower them :v:

I love dune. Humor and mod are on point. Good use of AI unlike most people though kinda funny given it dune.
only gripe is for ai art, its extremely bland. but not bad at all.

Not huge fan of the graphics, and please include a readme file in future. Looked at repo, why are your json files .yy?
This game is not easy to understand what to do and I found the music soundfont to be quite grating but i appricate that you did it in the jam. But seems to be a bit too formulaic.

This game really reminded me of a game i played a lot as a kid. Can't rember the name at all. I love the 3d billboards you made a ton of art in really. I was creeped out by farmer hand graphics are really uncanny. really suprised how fast the game loaded. overall great work!

this game felt very warm and nice could only find 2 endings though how did you make this game in 48 hours top tier skill.
