I can definitely tell most of the time went into presentation, there really wasn't anything in the way of challenge, and actually it was pretty laggy on my end. But if you get better at managing your time and balance your load between gameplay and visuals, it could turn out very good next time.

my game ran fine, but yeah it felt a little easy

This was an intersting cinematic game, and the idea kinda fit the theme but I was hoping for me after the ending. Great use of graphics and sfx even though they weren't original, the level design and lighting was intriguing.

This looks awesome and you manage to set up a fantastic mood, even without music. More content could turn this into a nice adventure. Performance was fine on my i5-6500 3.20 Ghz Quadcore and GTX 1050 TI.

That mood is just amazing :D I was scared from the point that I started the game.

This was an interesting entry. I actually like games like this quite a bit, so it was a pleasant surprise going in blind. I think that you did a great job. The game ran well on my system. I didn't run into bugs.

My only real suggestions would be to make the movement speed slightly faster and possibly add some type of intercom where someone can speak to the player to explain what is going on. But I understand the time limitations tend to cut things out, so with that in mind. Great job!

you can exclude certain things for grading.

Okay. That was spooky. Great atmosphere. I felt really uneasy from the beginning. It was a touch easy in the end but it looked great and I think you nailed the mood.

Thanks everyone. If I had more time I would've implemented an extra few steps before the end and added some more polish. I had to take some shortcuts with the level design to make up for the few art assets I had made.

notafamousguy 2019-10-07 12:17

the atmosphere and the mood of the game was simply out of the box you got that part right. and this was one of the best game experience i've had so far.

polyethyleneglykol 2019-10-07 13:53

That jumpscare when you reset, god my heart. but the sounds were pretty punchy i like it alot, also nice job on the modelling :D

czorio 2019-10-07 15:07

@polyethyleneglykol Hah, it was not intended to be a jumpscare, but I can see how that would be. It's secretly because I didn't have the time to do animations and had to jump-cut everything that moves, so I figured a good slam would be good enough.

Nice mood. Very eerie and disconcerting. I found the little glass ornament in one of the cubicles. Apparently it wasn't useful, but I had to check every cubicle. Wasn't going to do that with the desks, though!

The interaction cursor didn't seem well aligned to the torchlight so it took me a while to realise I could interact with the lever properly as I had tried clicking but slightly the wrong position a few times.

Nice cutscene at the end!

fupi 2019-10-07 18:35

Very good eerie atmosphere and visual storytelling, especially with the "It's been -1 days since accident" sign. You can understand immediately what is going on. I just wish it had more in the aspect of gameplay.

daria-toni 2019-10-07 18:59

Wow, that was fast! Nothing challenging, but the atmosphere is great. To be honest I was thinking about "Control" game the whole time (very mystical Department!).

bredera 2019-10-07 20:10

Atmosphere was great, reminded me a lot of the stanley parable for some reason, liked the graphics as well, great job!

rusty-jim 2019-10-07 23:09

Yup. Loved it. Took me *ages* to find the lever at the start though. Very Stanley Parable as someone else said. Stellar visual work though, especially the lighting.
