Your writing style is quite unique, short and sweet, cryptic at times, captured a period well. I enjoyed clicking through abyss. Good job!

I like the way you approached the theme a lot! I feel the agency and depth though thinking over which option to go for. I think the bgm really appeals to the overall mood of the game. A small suggestion would be to adjust the positions of the choices a bit so that none is being blocked by the screen

The UI is very clean, and I enjoyed the writing!

Very ambitious! This is very well polished and had a surprising number of options to choose from, and nothing seemed out of place. I haven't read Les Miserables for quite a long time; I'm tempted to do so again. The only change that I would make would be to reduce the volume a bit; it was startlingly loud when I opened the game. Nice music, though!

5/5

I am not sure if the choices have much bearing on the outcome of the game (if it's ever possible to prevent Javert's suicide), and I appreciate the ambiguity. I was concerned that allowing too much flexibility would dilute the original work's themes, and I think you balanced it quite well. The Law, Class, Rank, etc options were great at portraying Javert's ambivalence. It didn't seem like I was piloting him, but only that I was exploring the various contradictory aspects of his psyche. I haven't played many visual novels, so I don't know if this is a new approach, but it's certainly effective.

I feel the vibe of Disco elysium at time, but maybe it`s me. In general, nice writing, sound and overall mood. Very nice game.

I really liked the writing and the way the choices are presented.

It feels less like picking options and more like navigating a mindset, which is very fitting for the concept.
