great job on this! i loved the grappling hook mechanic, the art style was great too. i think the controls could have been tightened up by just a bit (maybe having a targeting reticle or something so it's clear where you'll end up) and i think the music could have been a bit more engaging. overall though fantastic work here!

@hestrateja it's actually all hand made! but i had a pattern that i followed for creating that middle chunk because i was running out of time (sort of like 1 tile per 8x8 square, then 2 tiles, etc). i'm planning on updating this one ludum dare is over so i'll definitely check out Jump King!

a couple bugs here and there (the rotation feature wasn't always working right) BUT music is great and the concept is fantastic. i wonder what it would be like if you could go another level down?

I love games like this! I think a bit more tweaking on the mechanics and you'd have something really solid! A better way to know how your bus lines are expanding vs when you are adding new ones would be great.

super funny! i think it would have been interesting to have the music slowly get more "handsome" as the game progresses, to match the visual of the blobfish getting more handsome.

@hestrateja yeah that would work haha! like the game starts with a really off key/off time saxophone and it slowly gets sexier. almost something like the harmonica jurrasic park theme.

great job here! i think it could have been a bit more clear about how many moves you have in each level, but once i got a feel for the mechanics it got fun and challenging. i loved the audio! the move and can't move sounds in the blocks really started to blend in to the music and i actually just kinda jammed out with it for a bit!

Great game loop you have here! I definitely had a bit of trouble getting up and running but once I understood the mechanics I was really in to it. It would be great to see this idea fleshed out and polished up a bit more.

I know you did say "controller recommended" and I'm not sure if this would apply as much if you were using an analog stick to more around but I did have a little trouble with moving too quickly on well-trodden roads with the keyboard.

Very relaxing game with extremely polished graphics. The biggest piece of feedback back is it would have been nice to have a little animation or audio effect for when you break through blocks. It was difficult for me to know when I would break block some times.

I like the idea for the game and the design. I felt like the mechanic of cutting the body open with different tools was unique and unexpected. However the game is very buggy: I couldn't close out in-game browser after finding out what organ to harvest.

I think with some more refinement you could have a decent prototype for a more in-depth game.

Nice top down game. I think the biggest issue is knowing whether you hit anything or not. Not having nay visual or audio feedback for hitting an enemy did make things pretty frustrating.

I agree with the other commenters that you need a bit more of a structure to this in order to make it a game. HOWEVER the central mechanic you have here of laying down harvesters to extract different cells of resources is really, really, great and addicting. I made it all the way to the core because the core loop was really gratifying. That's a really good sign that you have a great idea here!

Great job on this one. Had no idea what to expect going in and I kind of jumped a little when the office room exploded. Definitely would be great to have a better upgrade system overall. Maybe the game could be a bit easier too because once the initial surprise occurs it loses it's muster on subsequent attempts.

Great writing on this game, I also really like the Reigns style play of picking different options as the story progresses. I just had a bit of trouble figuring out my overall stats as far as how many abductions per day I was doing, maybe it would have been good to have a total abductions somewhere?

Love seeing something that builds off brick breaker/pong mechanics. One thing that was frustrating is not always having the paddle in the vertical position where it needed to be.

Hey fellow Godot jammer! Nice work on this TD game. I loved seeing all the little fruit minions swarming on the field. I second the sentiment of some of the other reviewers where it would be great to have keyboard keys for the seeds. Another art note that's not always 100% correct and up to your personal taste: try to keep all of your pixels a similar size, it will really help your game have a more cohesive art style.
