Looks great. Sound design and visuals are the heavy hitters here and it's fun for a bit dropping the little drills around. Seems to me like there's nothing other than placing the drills though. I don't know if I'm wrong and just missed something, but I couldn't find anything to spend the resources on or do other than click aimlessly so it felt a bit odd to have the counter of resources but no goal or anything attached.

The graphics are beautiful. The animation is very slick. Sometimes a tile will overlap another a bit.

@polynoggin Yeah I didn't end up getting to gameplay as I got way to into making the planet look cool and have fancy particle effects! I figured I would at least embrace a little bit of harvesting with the numbers but it doesn't really amount to anything as of now. Might go in and add like different miners for the different layers, that require the resources.
@rd127p77 Thanks! And yeah I noticed the issue with the tile overlap I did my best to avoid it but it could be better.

It looks and feels really nice, but you didn't add any actual game to your game.
Nice game! The planet generation was very cool, and the graphics in general were pretty nice. At first I didn't really understand what I was supposed to do after harvesting all the trees and mountains, but accidentally clicking on the barren earth and mining it was a mind-blowing moment. In the end, I managed to leave nothing but the (tiny) core of the planet. One thing that was a bit confusing was that the new planet button was the first option (and sounded very similar to new game), so I kept clicking it expecting to enter the game. Other than that, good entry!

All mined out! I was kind of hoping there'd be something secret at the end  I'm giving this high points for innovation and graphics. Looks great, and blew my mind a little when I realized there were multiple layers.
That said, I was feeling a little strain from all the clicking, and there wasn't anything to do with the resources. I have a hunch you didn't get to flesh that out with the time constraint. What's there is nice.
I feel like maybe you overdid the graphics part a bit because the are the strongest side of your game. The idea itself could be made into a wonderfull game if there would be more planets with different resources and resources being used for something. That being said, for 2 days solo? Amazing job

I think this is a good foundation for a interesting game. The mechanic of harvesting whole planet layer by layer is very cool. One small thing which was a bit annoying for me was the overlapping sound of multiple the miners.

Wasn't sure what was going on at first, but I really enjoyed how it looks and it was fun reducing the planet to a small orange orb. Kinda disappointed that I couldn't mine that too though...
Very satisfying to watch all the little space ships harvest all at once. Some great tech made here as well for the planet randomization and controls were simple snappy and read really well from a UX perspective. Wish there was more to do with the resources but had a lot fun! Great entry

i think this could work well as an idle game. being able to automate the mining in some way would be interesting
Great game!
This felt like a tech demo instead of a game (cool looking one though!), so I quit pretty quickly. But now looking at googlypoo's screenshot maybe there is more stuff to unlock. Wish this was somehow described in game (show a goal).
Nice job for getting this far!
At first I did not understand what I am supposed to do, but I really enjoyed the main aesthetic - thess tiny planets in the black universe. After a while I understaood the main mechanics which are clever. The gameplay is unusual and fits with the theme. I had fun playing. Thank you for your feedback about my own project. I wish you the best ++
I agree with the other commenters that you need a bit more of a structure to this in order to make it a game. HOWEVER the central mechanic you have here of laying down harvesters to extract different cells of resources is really, really, great and addicting. I made it all the way to the core because the core loop was really gratifying. That's a really good sign that you have a great idea here!
The game sadly lacks a purpose but seeing your little shurikens destroying a planet is already quite nice!
