LD52 — Harvest

Aquaculture by quadtree 2023-01-23T13:54:05Z

My god, it works so well!

And it is fun!

I especially loved the way the liquids are named by their color and the mechanics around the red!

Polishing the liquids aspect and having the plants directly in some soil are the only things I would suggest.

Harvest Day by Linus Lindberg 2023-01-21T09:50:42Z

I loved this game! It is really fun to place your fruits and arrange them the best you can (damn it bananas).

Lunar Harvest by blubberquark 2023-01-23T18:02:34Z

A nice game with its own atmosphere!

The procedural patterns for the cows are quite cool!

I would have prefer a shorter trip to deliver the cows, I constantly fail to avoid the missiles x)

Defend The Apple Harvest by jaywoody 2023-01-23T18:14:25Z

It is a fun game!

I needed time to adapt to the throwing position which is a little too decentered for me.

In the end, I find the pace of the game a little to slow. Moving around is a little frustating.

tomato harvester by dimesto52 2023-01-23T18:06:18Z

Sadly it is quite messy and feels really unpolished due to the base unity colors.

However, the junky physic was quite fun and the concept works.

Planetary Mining CO. by Mcnuttys 2023-01-26T08:19:38Z

The game sadly lacks a purpose but seeing your little shurikens destroying a planet is already quite nice!

Cream of the Crop by Weirdybeardyman 2023-01-23T11:57:59Z

The flying sensation is really well rendered!

Like others, I would have love to do more stunts and not just stick to the ground.

Maybe by adding a plateform where we need to deposit or refuel frequently?

It's a Platformer by acdimalev 2023-01-23T13:26:16Z

I really enjoyed your game!

The animations and graphics are really good and making a gameboy game is a wonderful idea for a game jam!

The levels are well structured as well.

Congratulations!

Mutant Harvest by Lenan 2023-01-23T18:18:54Z

Everything works quite fine in terms of programmation but the game design is unforgiving.

Overall, the bullets are to fast, too big and not announced well-enough.

However, it is extremely difficult to balance a good boss, so congratulations on your attempt!

Harvestar by CaptAndrey 2023-01-21T10:14:32Z

I really innovative game with a really nice concept! The absence of sound kills the mood for me but the rest is great work!

Salvage City by StormCat 2023-01-21T09:19:33Z

I really loved the style and the gloomy mood of this game. It clearly has a soul!

Ludum Dare - The Card Game by Itskdog 2023-01-21T09:41:45Z

A really cool game with a lot of work in it! Took me two tries to get the gig but quite fun once assimilated.

Cursed Nurse by InitialPosition 2023-01-21T10:25:43Z

Everything is so simple yet so effective!

It is easy to read, everything is working and it is fun!

Congratulations!

Would have been perfection with some music ;)

And, in my book, this is proper ending!

Artifical Intelligence vs Alien Invaders by muhuk 2023-01-23T12:07:28Z

An interesting idea but I am not convinced.

It seriously need a tutorial or a small explanation.

I am also not a big fan of the combat, it is quite long and boring.

I think it would have been better to make a loading sequence with a little "fighting..." and then the result, it would have increased tension.

Nevertheless, congratulation on your entry, is is never easy to make a game ;)

Elite Brain Harvester Zombie by Pulni 2023-01-21T10:08:31Z

I am so fan with the goofy sounds x) Would definitly work better with bats but a really nice work nevertheless!

Social Mediæty by const_arch 2023-01-23T18:42:07Z

This is the best game I tried so far!

It is witty, funny, working, pleasant!

Lovecraft/10, would it a planet again!

(spoiler, focus on asia)

Escape From Fartlands by brainles etertainment 2023-01-21T10:39:28Z

Okay, I love this kind of game but I was put out by very silly QOL thinks.

For example, when you select a building, you cannot unselect it, your only option is to build it or to destroy another building with the destroy button.

Also, I was charmed by the style but clicking on stuff is really tedious.

With some improvements I think I would have really like it!

Catchy by danmerey 2023-01-21T10:32:11Z

A great game with compelling art and design!

I love what you did with the borders, with the clouds and the wind which change direction!

Great entry!

Hello @arscene and thank you for playing and reviewing my game!

You can use your money if you don't go to work x)

Sadly, I did not have the time to implement a more indepth use of it.

Synchronizing the flower and the music is a great idea!

Hello @chlu!

I take note for the font! You grow accustomed to this kind of things so your opinion is especially important.

And also good thinking for the dialogues, I will think about it!

@oadt Thank you for your return!

Yeah, you are not the first one to complain about the font, I will be more careful in the future!

For watering, you are supposed to wait until the leaves change colors, but it is hard to spot.

@maartene I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Making multiple paths isn't easy indeed, even if I planned a lot more ^^

Maybe not this game, but the work made during this jam will help me build similar games.

@remco I deeply appreciate your dedication to try all four endings, so thank you!

And thank you for pointing out my spelling mistakes, I need to improve my grammar ^^

Especially when you don't have time for playtest and rewriting!

Your advice on the colour change is noted!

@local-minimum Glad you liked it

This pace was what I researched for building on the atmosphere but I'm happy you did not find it boring!

They were suppose to be a lot more interaction, with your job, colleagues, your companion, your money, etc...

But I had to reduce the scope to make it to compo.

Puzzle game about farming I think by ChickensioDev 2023-01-23T12:45:18Z

Really well done!

Making a puzzle game in 2 days is really difficult and you managed to come up with nice and interesting levels!

Confratulations!

LD55 — Summoning

Jiang Shifu by Sn4pi 2024-04-18T22:28:59Z

This game is a gem! It reminds me of Celeste due to the collectibles, the movements, the graphics, and the challenge. Managed to finish it! Only one complain, I would have loved to be able to recall the talisman with a right click. Overall, I feel bad not to have bought it.

Seance by alexrose 2024-04-17T09:52:13Z

And that's a perfect score for me, congratulations. The story is great, the search for info is tedious but rewarding, the art is gorgeous. I could have bought it.

Seance by alexrose 2024-04-21T09:06:22Z

I replayed the game you a friend, and I realize how great the writing is! Everything is so well conveyed and interesting, and coherent with the end! I just to talk about this story with everyone I know XD Please, make it a serie <3

Ars Vocandi by abcdef65g 2024-04-25T19:44:45Z

The ambition of your game is crazy. I would have never dare entering a game jam with the idea of doing a card game with FIVE decks! On this note, congratulations.

Nevertheless, I have pretty harsh remarks to do on your design: -No cost for the cards means little to no strategy. You're just play them when you got them. -Multiple remarks on the attack system. The three capacities principle has a lot of potential, even if it is a little tricky to grasp. With more gimmicks, side objectives, multiple health bar, or auto block or debuff or forced attack of certain types maybe, it could have a lot of personality. -The dice idea is interesting, but randomness is not something I am personally searching in a strategy game. Could work for an auto-battler, or with less shift (using d3 instead of d6 for example), but at this moment, it is just attack without thinking. -There is no way to come back once you played all your cards and have no monster left while your opponent board is full. Even if you play a crazily strong monster, you are at the mercy of your opponent who can just ignore you and respond with capacities you can not defend against. This issue may be resolved with new card types, or with a system of rounds you have to win, or with bonus, such as auto drawing, you get if you get damaged.

Muster your ambition and you may give birth to something truly interesting.

The Wrong Book by adam-gould 2024-04-17T08:12:14Z

This game is a perfect experience. It is funny, it is well made, the audio is of rare quality, and there is a well-conveyed plot! Congratulations!

Overtime by AlexHicks 2024-04-18T21:55:38Z

First and foremost, damn a personal C++ engine, congratulations! Second, my experience of the game was strongly tainted by a mismatch with my screen, as shown here: Third, well the game is a little bit basic, and I was not able to see my money or any goals, but it worked and i won \o/

Zoo Fantastica by Rexagon 2024-04-16T10:02:12Z

The game looks absolutely great but I do not understand the diagrams. Especially your demonstration image just above, I do not comprehend how the pattern is related to the diagram next to it. May you explain it to me so I can rate your game ? I am already all for the music, the art, and the mood <3

Zoo Fantastica by Rexagon 2024-04-17T08:21:32Z

Ok, now I can give my grain of salt. The premise of the game is great, the art is gorgeous, the music nice, and there is a lot of content. Nevertheless, even with further explanations and an example, solving the summoning instructions is a hassle. Even while understanding how it works, the game quickly becomes a game of interchanging stuff until it work, which is not really rewarding. If the object types could be interchanged (like, triangle can be gold or boot, and square can be boot or gold respectivelly), I think I would have loved this game a lot more. Still, good job.

Tao by leorean 2024-04-17T08:28:42Z

I am really impressed by the quality of the level design in this game. Each part of the game feel well-thought and crafted with love. Congratulations!

Claws and Conundrums by LocksmithArmy 2024-04-25T20:07:24Z

Short indeed! ^^ But well made with great atmosphere. And writing a book is no small task during a jam, so congrats.

SLUMMONER by crow_seeds 2024-04-18T22:41:16Z

The art is definitely something, but the game is quite enjoyable and fun! Police have a little too many machine guns, and fighting sewer is not something I was expecting. I only found the pigeons to be top tier, and the heal to be necessary. Cats are a little disapointing for the price. Also, the fly nearly killed me so fk it.

Siela by Gnum_ 2024-04-20T11:01:12Z

I'm confused. The atmosphere is top-notched. I would sure have freaked out from even the simple noise of footsteps behind me. But nothing really happens in the game. Once you find out you are not in danger but just running from point to point, the atmosphere crumbles on itself...

The potential is here tho, so good work.

Winds Whisperer by stellarnightmare 2024-04-18T21:46:28Z

In my opinion, despite the immersing 3D graphics, the game lacks to many thinks. It lacks guidance, a goal of sort, challenge, and clarity in general. A special point on how you handled invocations navigation: why have you made something so convoluted? The need to manage three points for different types of invocations while they sort of attack ennemies by themselves feels really cumbersome and strange. A least you tried to make the player discover each units one by one and I appreciate that. Nevertheless, congratulation on your work.

Anybody There? by Marcie 2024-04-20T10:44:01Z

Hi! The game works quite nicely and has a nice atmosphere, but I am really not convinced about reversing the usual seance. Since you are answering the questions, I was kind of expecting the final twist.

If you are curious, I tested another game featuring a seance, and I encourage you to try it! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/55/seance

Nevertheless, thank you for your game!

PS: I did not found a way out of the credits except alt+f4 ^^

Furriend: A Paw-some Summoning Odyssey by pralista 2024-04-17T08:57:25Z

Anime cats invocation! Huge amount of content for a beautiful and really well crafted game ! The possibility to rewrite path took me by surprise by how good it is.

Small bug: you can erase invocation circles by combining them and then reversing.

Eldritch Invoker by Nimolas 2024-04-16T09:41:35Z

What a great concept! It lacks polish and return on inputs, is too slow with a lot of grind, however I was really into it ! I was really wanting for more interactions and invocations types, meaning you have in your hands something worth of Pokemon XD

Two last notes: -If you click on the "continue" button fast enough, you are able to launch several battles at the same time, up to a point where just clicking gives you souls ^^ -The drawing sequence should really launch when the player press the first input. It is too tedious if it launch directly.

Great work !

Wiz Biz: A Summon's Sacrifice by MontyMoneybags 2024-04-18T21:36:50Z

Nice concept and pretty well made. Jumps are a little slippery but okay. I would have prefer the crab to explode once disconnected, I find it more intuitive. Thank you for your game.

Get Away Your Pitchforks from My Oak! by Hammerer 2024-04-16T09:28:08Z

Nice concept. The best strategy is a little too much just spamming invocations in your base. I would have love to use more powers or feel the need to explore the island. Sometimes the invocation panel is not clickable for no reason, this is a little frustrating. Overall, the game works and is enjoyable.

@tentacledream Indeed! Sadly, Godot with C# does not support web export yet.

DURO by Fenix131113 2024-04-18T21:30:14Z

Quite an intricated puzzle game. The pacing is quite good in the beginning, especially to discover each lizard ability, but the puzzles become a little too quickly huge to my taste. I understand the idea behind the "you cannot remove the lizards" and "you cannot pass the lizards" but I find it a little frustrating.

Harvest Festival by Sampai 2024-04-16T09:51:12Z

This game is on crack and I'm all for it!

Seriously, the theme is vaguely respected and the way everything is conveyed is strange to say the least, but the amount of content is insane !

Great work !
