I couldn't figure out how to get high up enough to avoid the low swinging attack. Jumping over it from the side platform wasn't quite high enough. That aside though, I love to dodge stuff while shooting at something, good stuff!

Nice game! It's a good attempt at a boss battle. The margin of error is quite narrow, though. I managed to win the boss a couple of times in one go. I chose the damage upgrade and it helped a bit on the next round. The upgrade made the bullets invisible for some reason. 48 hours is a short time to make this type of game in, so I can appreciate you got this far with it. Good entry to the compo!

I had a hard time, but i loved the concept. Maybe if you paused it during the first attack of the type, it could give you a bit of a tutorial!

That really sucks about the migraines, having health stuff take you out of an event always sucks.

The concept for the game definitely sounds fun, especially as you learn the game and figure out what upgrades you should prioritize for different bosses.

Like others have said the difficulty is really intense. It was really really hard to dodge a lot the attacks. The hitboxes need to be a little more telegraphed since a lot of it felt unfair.

In terms of game feel I think it would have been good to spend a little time making the weapon feel juicier, and creating a more subtle hit effect.

Definitely worth it to spend some time and bring it to what you were planning during the jam!

This was a challenging one! In the end I couldn't beat it but had fun trying. You did your best and still impressive what you got done in a weekend! Keep on making games :smile:

The attacks seemed impossible to dodge, or im missing something in the game? If so can you tell me since i want to try and beat the first boss at least! :)) Im sorry for the migrane and i hope you feel better soon..

I like the idea, even the execution is quite good, however I couldn't dodge the horizontal attacks. I couldn't jump high enough to dodge them. Maybe I was doing something wrong, but because of this I couldn't win the game.

Other than that, I liked the graphics and the audio. The backstory is cool and I like the humorous tone of the game. Like I said, it's a cool game, only that dodging mechanic was too hard.

The pixel style is cute, I looked at it for half a day before I realized I was a duckling hahaha, the music matches perfectly, somehow I couldn't dodge the attack, which prevented me from getting past the first level, hope your migraine has cleared up, looking forward to the subsequent updates!

I liked that you mixed harvest with a boss rush! However it would have been nice to make difficulty more gradual because it feels a bit unfair. But I know it is hard judging the difficulty for our own game after having played for a complete weekend :laughing:

I noticed a z axis issue with the pattern where 3 rocks fall: the arrows for the middle rock are displayed behind the health bar – that makes the pattern really difficult to read.

Thank you for making the game! I have not seen something similar this jam and I replayed with pleasure to try to beat the bosses.

Everything works quite fine in terms of programmation but the game design is unforgiving.

Overall, the bullets are to fast, too big and not announced well-enough.

However, it is extremely difficult to balance a good boss, so congratulations on your attempt!

I'd love to play this game more but the very first boss is incredibly difficult, the side attacks are almost impossible to dodge, especially if you're on the wrong side of the screen. After multiple attempts I got down past half health but then died. The game feels really unfair to play, maybe adding a dash button would make it more fair? the three falling could also use a bit of delay between each ball.
