I could mine a lot of Fart Gas, but I couldn't figure out what the solar panels do, or how to launch or fuel the ships.
Took me a bit to figure out I'm meant to destroy the farms to sell from them. Real cool simulator, feels almost like something from a children's museum exhibit, in a good way.
> what the solar panels do
They increase velocity of Fart Gas farming. That is more panels => faster farming.
> how to launch or fuel the ships
Click on a farm will transfer collected Fart Gas from the farm to a ship. The ship will be launched once its full of Fart Gas or manually by click on it.
My favorite game .
Nice game with a funny premise. I had a bit of a trouble transferring the gas from the gas fields at start, but then I figured out I need to click on the base of the farm, not just anywhere. Some sort of end goal would make this better. The lack of sounds makes this game feel like it's happening on a planet without an atmosphere.
If you click a farm or something and can't afford it you can't get rid of it.
Took me a bit to figure out all the mechanics but this is a fun little game and right up my alley. I liked the combo of not just trying to mine and gain power but also trying to pick the right time when the price was high to sell the gas at. It gave it a fun reactionary dimension I enjoyed. It left me wanting more, maybe some upgrades you could purchase and layers to give it some more to do during gameplay, add some music and sound and I could see this being a game I would return to repeatedly when I needed a chill time during the day.
> If you click a farm or something and can’t afford it you can’t get rid of it.
Yeah it is a known bug, I should fix it. But actually it is intended to press Esc (or any key) to get rid of the current building tool.
+ Flawless control for movement + Fun story and title. Made me immediately wanna play
- I was not being able to sell the gas. No clicking at all helped, i swear i clicked everywhere on the gas farm.
I got to 100k. Then gave up mainly because there's too much clicking. But I enjoyed the part up to there, it's nice to see when the things are working and gas farms and launch pads are balanced.
When I destroyed a lunch pad, it's display thing didn't get removed from screen.
It would be nice warn people that they need to buy 1 of each item at the beginning or else they will be softlocked. If you buy 2 gas farms for example, you need to restart.
Very 'cookie clicker' esque, which is not usually my kind of game. BUT. The graphics are great, in my style. The camera works a charm and the mood and design is classic-style cool. I would love to see what you would make with more time and a slightly different prompt. Good work!
The start is horribly slow, but after that the game is pretty fun!
Consider maybe giving players more starting money?
> Consider maybe giving players more starting money?
Yeah, game economics needs to be heavily fine tuned in general.
take me few try before i get it (and watch the video) but can be the beginning of a cool rts game !
Cool game and interesting take on the theme. I like that the price varies at different times. However, I often need to press the farms multiple times for the harvesting to work, even when ships are empty. The game also gets kinda repetitive after a while. Additionally, the player cannot do anything in the beginning but wait for the ship. All in all, good job!
Okay, I love this kind of game but I was put out by very silly QOL thinks.
For example, when you select a building, you cannot unselect it, your only option is to build it or to destroy another building with the destroy button.
Also, I was charmed by the style but clicking on stuff is really tedious.
With some improvements I think I would have really like it!
