Amazing atmosphere, amazing theme adaptation. The voice acting also on point, really enjoyed it, although i couldnt move from the second puzzle (toxic?)

zablas 2024-04-16 09:33

Really cool concept! I enjoyed the puzzle aspect and also immersed into the story! :D

irex 2024-04-16 09:39

@ecenizo Thank you very much ! Try the button on the right of the tape recorder after playing a song ;)

gamesplusjames 2024-04-16 09:39

This is a fun idea! Great job and great atmosphere :)

misoukun 2024-04-16 10:09

Very good game. It offers a good atmosphere. Not too difficult but the story is nice.

felixx 2024-04-17 06:27

I love it!

irex 2024-04-17 06:40

@zablas @gamesplusjames @misoukun @felixx Thank you very much for taking your time to play our game, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

pabloabraham 2024-04-17 08:03

We had the same idea initially, but we went in a different direction. Congratulations on your work!

melissa-stodolnik 2024-04-17 08:09

Very atmospheric game, cool sounds and nice dialogues

a-d-chaos 2024-04-18 20:54

Very nice atmospheric game! I liked the story and dramatic buildup. Being the ghost and discover your own story was a cool experience!

ffffchai 2024-04-19 10:33

It is a very interesting concept and catch me into the story. The voice acting gives the game a much stronger atmosphere, and the detailing of the sound effects is great. Nice job!

irex 2024-04-19 12:01

@pabloabraham Thanks a lot, I would have love to see you implementation of the idea!

@melissa-stodolnik Thank you, happy you liked the game :)

@a-d-chaos Thanks, I'm really happy you liked the idea and the experience

@ffffchai Our sound designer is very talented, I'm glad you liked his sounds! And my friends did a great job with the voice acting I agree it adds a lot to the game. Thanks a lot

Great concept, well executed. I took ages to get the cassette player puzzle because I didn't know if pressing any of the buttons might cost me a life. Maybe a better way to do that would be to have three cassettes out on the table, mousing over each one plays the song faintly, and you select one by putting it in the machine?

adam-gallina 2024-04-19 18:24

The voice acting and sound design was incredibly well done, great atmosphere - were the music clips also original? They fit in with everything really well. Some of the puzzle elements were a little difficult to interact with, and placing them in the correct spots was a bit finnicky, especially the letter blocks. Overall really well done! The puzzles were a good difficulty, and the story was told really well!

asfdfdfd 2024-04-19 18:36

Despite that i'm smol brain in puzzle i was able to finish your game. Great entry! I was so glad to finish it. Thanks!

tenthdalek 2024-04-19 21:52

@karln @adam-gallina @asfdfdfd Thanks for your feedback!

@adam-gallina thanks! Yes, all the music clips were actually produced for the game during the jam. We had a lot of fun recording our clips :)

dasilvacontin 2024-04-20 07:43

Found the puzzles a bit too tough.

It was not obvious at all to me that the 4th button of the cassette player "commits" the song. It doesn't make sense logically. I totally agree with @karln idea where, hovering a cassette lets you preview (to yourself) a song, and putting into the cassette player and playing it is what "commits" the song.

If the cassette thing had been more obvious, maybe I would have wasted less time on that puzzle, which would have made me able to progress more into the story with the time I was happy to dedicate to it.

Loved pretty much everything else, fantastic job team!! Thank you for sharing

irex 2024-04-20 09:45

@dasilvacontin Yes, we're aware that it's not obvious at all for the tape recorder. We tried to put a sun on the validation key to make the players understand but it obviously wasn't enough. Thank you very much for your feedback, and I'm glad you enjoyed the game despite the frustration :)

mephistase 2024-04-20 10:44

Hi! The game works quite nicely and has a nice atmosphere, but I am really not convinced about reversing the usual seance. Since you are answering the questions, I was kind of expecting the final twist.

If you are curious, I tested another game featuring a seance, and I encourage you to try it! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/55/seance

Nevertheless, thank you for your game!

PS: I did not found a way out of the credits except alt+f4 ^^

irex 2024-04-20 14:13

@mephistase thanks for your feedback! We will definitely give this game a try. There is a "Back" button just under Wwise logo ! ^^

master-yeet 2024-04-21 18:54

Interesting idea I loved the voice acting, the graphics, the story and the mood, you guys nailed it! I'm not sure how I got the cassette player puzzle though lol, I just spammed the buttons and it worked, maybe I got lucky.

irex 2024-04-21 21:02

@master-yeet Thanks a lot :) The rightmost button of the cassette player is a validation button. You first select the song you want to play and then validate it. But we now know it is not obvious at all 😅

hadik 2024-04-22 11:25

Engaging and atmospheric with excellent voice acting and sound design. The puzzle mechanics are a bit unclear, particularly with the cassette player, but overall, a very immersive experience.
