The game looks absolutely great but I do not understand the diagrams. Especially your demonstration image just above, I do not comprehend how the pattern is related to the diagram next to it. May you explain it to me so I can rate your game ? I am already all for the music, the art, and the mood <3

@mephistase, yeah, they turned out quite confusing(
Each diagram consists of crystals and objects. Crystal rays connect everything into graph. When the ray is "moving" - elements are considered connected. The book contains all creatures in the order of summoning, and each creature has a small description which can be used to guess object types for the diagram and the diagram itself. Identical polygons refer to identical objects.
I hope this helps
UPD: Changed the screenshot to match the diagram. Let it be as part of the tutorial.

I loved the vibe and idea of the game, but (maybe im too dumb) but i didnt manage to summon anything! The summoning blueprint ends up being differnet from what you need to input i thing. Loved it regardless!
Second game I see using similar summoning mechanics and I love it!
Guys, your arts are awesome! Really beautiful ones! I really wanted to summon something, but I didn't read an instructions on LD site :) But when I discovered it, I fastly understand how it works. Thanks for your game!

I love the art of the game, but it's a little confusing to play at first.
Very ingenious idea, a bit confusing in the exuction of the gameplay, i see that you noted it already. nice idea tho

I loved the game's graphics, which immediately reminded me of Potion Craft! After that, I must admit I'm a bit stupid when it comes to these kinds of games, so I'm having a bit of trouble summoning monsters xD But I'll try to persevere and get there! Congrats :D

@alldee Yes, indeed, initially we wanted to do Potion Craft but with summoning. But as the deadline approached, we abandoned more and more features and mechanics, and here it is :new_moon_with_face:
Great art, good idea to make a puzzle game. The UI can be a bit unclear sometimes. Thanks for the game :)

Great art! Also I liked summoning mechanic. Although I found it difficult to guess items based on some descriptions (or I messed the order in which I need to summon monsters). At first I thought that rhombuses are just rotated squares, but it was just other item xD

This game is really for big brainz, ha-ha. Totally love your art style.
Ok, now I can give my grain of salt. The premise of the game is great, the art is gorgeous, the music nice, and there is a lot of content. Nevertheless, even with further explanations and an example, solving the summoning instructions is a hassle. Even while understanding how it works, the game quickly becomes a game of interchanging stuff until it work, which is not really rewarding. If the object types could be interchanged (like, triangle can be gold or boot, and square can be boot or gold respectivelly), I think I would have loved this game a lot more. Still, good job.
I love this art. Interesting concept and gameplay!

@mephistase the latest fix (1.0.3 from yesterday) does exactly what you described - there is no binding of an object to a specific group on the diagram. But yeah, you still need to find correct items according to the creature description. Thanks for playing and for your feedback!

This is such ana amazing game! The art style is very nice and the idea for the summoning is so engaging! Also the music rocks! especially the more up-tempo one
Such a cute game!!! I love the style and the whole concept is great! As others have said, the art is gorgeous and the music has some absolute bangers hahaha. I think if the rituals were less confusing this would be perfect!
Awesome entry to the jam :)

The graphics are really good, and the ambience is great. The puzzles are a bit hard if you just want to play without reading (like some people do). The instructions are not so clear at least ingame, maybe include some easier puzzle to make the player recognise the patterns. Also maybe some feedback during the puzzle to understand if you are doing things right or wrong. Besides the gameplay the idea is good but maybe needed more time to introduce players better. Good luck!

Love your stylistic choices here for the visuals. The game is interesting and poses some fun challenges, with increasing difficulty!
I always jump in without reading any instructions, and thought I understood the diagrams because the gems have shapes that line up with the shapes on the drawing, but I was wrong. Went back and read your tutorial section and figured out how to summon the donkey. Interesting idea though! And great illustration.
Also thank you for including a Linux version 🖤
Definitely a cool take on constructing summoning circles!
The art and music are incredible!
Even after reading the instructions and comments it was difficult to figure out how to summon.
Maybe including some very easy summons to help progressively teach the techniques and diagram symbols might help. Then they can work their way up to more complex ones.

Beautiful game and cool concept. Nice music choice. Alas I couldn't get the summoning to work (┬┬﹏┬┬)

Won't rate because I couldn't beat it. The griffin defeated me; I have no idea what you wanted there. Wish there was some kind of feedback other than the binary failure/success, or a walkthrough. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4D2LmF291pU

Could really use a clear screen button. I love the illustrations and the perspective room texture + sprite shrinking is simple but effective!

@alaah thank you for recording your attempts, I see how unintuitive it turned out. You were almost there at 15:41, but instead of wheat you had to use gold.
And thanks for the suggestion, I'll record a walkthrough.

Well, it didn't occur to me that poop was supposed to be gold (even though it's in the first summon's description), and I somehow thought grain was gold. My primary concern was whether the shape was correct and whether two emitting lasers can hit each other.
My second attempt ended on the chimera; I tried rock+mirror+everything, rock+comb+everything, and rock+file+everything, among others. I'm too dumb or some of these puzzles are too oddly exact. I noticed that not only the connections, but also the overall shape, has to match the original diagram, which can be somewhat problematic with the triangular laser because it can be rotated in all sorts of ways.
I.e. the left arrangement won't work, but the right one will. lllll2.png
