LD37 — One room

Cafe House by JanTych 2017-01-02T14:48:00

The Tripplo is the saddest coffee. Just 3 beans floating in some water :P

I liked it. Didn't run into any sort of time limit or penalty, those could maybe make it a little more "exciting".
The dragging with the little sploosh when dropping something into the cup was pretty funny.

Guard by Pie-Tras 2017-01-02T15:00:00

The stuttery movement made the game very difficult. But with "normal" movement it might have been too easy...

Having a limited amount of brighter light was a neat idea. I learned my lesson from being so generous with it early on.

The Library by Stending 2017-01-02T19:34:00

Beautiful for both eyes and ears.

The way it was switching to the next note strip made it kind of difficult to know what keys to press next...but then I'm terrible at music/rhythm games.

The Other Incidental Tumbler by Franklin's Ghost 2017-01-02T15:16:00

Great art style and simply amazing animation on the headless ghost investigator.

The Switching Cavern by leddkire 2017-01-02T15:10:00

Those danger balls are quick! I had a lot of fun trying to outsmart them.

Rummet by UrbanHelsing 2017-01-02T18:03:00

Wow, a really good puzzle game for such a short time! I've not been able to solve all of the puzzles yet but I'm having lots of fun.

One issue for me is that there isn't a way to tell which combination goes with which lock, which makes the big room a bit tedious.

Good work!

Ultimate Hamster Carnage by Alpenter 2017-01-02T15:57:00

Difficult but fun. Great style!

The Infinity Prison by Multiplexor 2017-01-02T15:46:00

Really cool! Having to guess-control a few (disposable) people at once was a great idea and well-executed.

LD38 — A Small World

Weatherman of Smallworld by HawkSandwich 2017-05-01T12:59:09Z

That was pretty cool. I liked the style, a different(less obviously derivative)design for the people(secret agents?) would have been better though.

Bug to the Footstep by eddynardo 2017-05-10T07:44:15Z

This is a really cool little puzzle game. I found it fairly easy but very fun. The bugs are very cute, I didn't really want to put them in harm's way. :P The way they move about makes the whole game a lot more charming too.

I agree with the others: with a larger variety of bugs and a lot more levels this can easily be made into a full game.

Save A Small World by chaotikza 2017-05-13T10:35:37Z

Challenging! I couldn't get past the 4th level. What I didn't like was that it only matched vertically and horizontally, instead of whenever 3 or more pieces touch(even in weird shapes), but I can imagine that that might have come down to ease of implementation.

Little Stars by NMcCoy 2017-05-12T15:28:43Z

It was very fun to zoom around the planets, finding all the kinds of planets and occasionally a little secret/unique tile. Though I'd agree with @steve-johnson, some sort of goal would be nice. Maybe finding all the parts of a special planet and assembling them?

See You Again by asyzruffz 2017-05-13T15:03:23Z

Cool concept, basing it on a phrase. Very tranquil game, I enjoyed it.

Cosmonaut Pavel Tokarev by tangiblegames 2017-05-01T19:18:51Z

Great atmosphere, neat visuals. Well done!

Mana Farming Dimensiom by Unentokku 2017-05-01T16:09:40Z

I was eventually able to figure out how it works...I think. Some more instructions would be very helpful. The node-based design is interesting, just too fiddly to use in its current state. If you keep going I'm sure you can make it into something pretty fun.

Find Your Friend by mrnannings 2017-05-14T08:56:47Z

Is there some sort of hint of where to find your friend? I had to try a bunch of times until I ran into the friend almost immediately. The timer felt quite short.

The game looks really good, the music fits too. The movement mechanic was cool, although I'm not sure whats going on with the planets(it's certainly not gravity...).

Dregumes by stoz 2017-05-10T08:41:18Z

I had an absolute blast. Pretty much everything about this game is just great, the only exception being the sound effects. They work but are not particularly impressive.

The second type of enemy killed me in one hit pretty much every time(unless embiggened) at first, that seemed a bit harsh but made the upgrades really satisfying.

Your team has made a really cool and fun game I might go back to from time to time; I just hope it gets some more attention.

My Little Forest by lastnerd 2017-05-10T07:14:15Z

The style is pretty cute, even the trash is bright and colorful :D The game needs a timer or a ramping up of the trash drop rate over time though, right now you can play pretty much infinitely. With a few more mechanics you might have a neat little "time waster" ;)

EVO by shide 2017-05-12T17:34:04Z

Really impressive project!

drone by atmospherium 2017-05-12T14:48:42Z

I have no idea what is going on and wasn't able to achieve anything. But it looks and sounds great. I like it!

Research by Jeuiop 2017-05-12T19:31:44Z

Watching the populations of the creatures interact and change was really cool. I didn't really get what was going on with the research though. The presentation is nice, although I have to concur with @rokasv, the font was a bit hard to read.

Goodbye, world! by chromableedstudios 2017-08-01T14:53:10Z

At first I wasn't sure what to do, so I obliterated the moon. I enjoyed carving chunks out of the planet, trying to get the trajectory just right is really neat.

SumPath by flip120 2017-05-13T14:18:02Z

Okay, it's embarrassing how bad I am at this. But the jump in difficulty from 2+8 to 19*16 is also a bit extreme. The game has a very nice sense of "velocity" though and the music is really catchy.

Mission Blue by olkeencole 2017-05-11T08:28:45Z

Sadly I wasn't able to calibrate the life support(I think I pushed all the buttons)...but I enjoyed running around this spaceship entirely built from 1x1 prototype plating. The atmosphere was well done, the constant ominous rumble was a good touch and the alarm really conveyed some urgency. The audio clip was a nice little surprise too.

Darts Are Everything by ACiertz 2017-05-12T14:33:12Z

Nicely done! I had a lot of fun just opening the cabinets and peppering the room with darts. The guy complimenting himself on his "own" dart skills when throwing at a board was pretty funny.

The ending though felt a bit...sudden. I also didn't find a way to interact with the game after it had faded to black(aside from Alt+F4).

The FoxGlobe by HenriqGiron 2017-05-14T08:28:21Z

Cute fox and overall game!

A thing that happened pretty often is that I got a miss message which quickly changed into a catch message(also giving me points), that was a little weird.

HugeSpace 2 by andreymust19 2017-05-10T09:01:26Z

I enjoyed the minimalistic feeling of the game. It was actually pretty tricky, I kept crashing into planets whizzing about. Also, is there a way to cool back down once the temperature has reached the maximum?

A Small Word by droweed 2017-05-15T10:57:30Z

The way the terrain is used to defend yourself is really cool...too bad you spend pretty much all your time looking at a list of words off to the side. I concur with @kirenio, putting the words above the attackers would be a better solution.

Evacuator! by Robber 2017-05-17T06:50:24Z

I had 3 people in a row die while I was on the tile right next to and moving towards them, that was a bit frustrating(but also my own fault). One issue I had was that the game board and the minimap are at slightly different angles, it made navigating by the map somewhat difficult for me. Also: driving "south" is a bit annoying because of the fixed angle. Camera controls with a rotating minimap could help.

The game looks really cool and is pretty fun. In its current state the game should be deterministic, I wonder if you can save all the people? Some randomization or procedural generation would be nice, and maybe some pickups that give you a temporary speed boost or something.

Planeterarium .inc by boaheck-artgent 2017-05-12T19:50:04Z

This looks really cool, nice work on the procedural generation too! Sadly on the seed I started with pigs were apparently almost immediately extinct(I only ran into 1 total) and there also only was like 1 blueberry plant that I could identify. The wolves taking a bunch of your stamina just by running past was a little weird and on my first two "collapses" I didn't know what had happened. A jump(to avoid them) would have been nice.

Still, impressive game! Not sure why it hasn't gotten any attention yet...fingers crossed!

Under The Petri Dish by mryamz 2017-05-10T19:09:36Z

Either I'm terrible at it or the game is really hard. Seeing the enemies move is cool, but it gets a little boring when there are 20+ enemy cells. Is there a reason you made it so you have to press CTRL to end your turn? It's a little weird and might confuse people.

Neat little game though and having an intro at all is already impressive :)

Jim Doesn't Care About Space by Finn Truman 2017-05-01T19:54:39Z

The game won't start because of a missing dll: MSVCP140D.dll From my very cursory search it looks like that might have to do with the game being a debug version? Maybe you could compile it with different settings? Downloading the dll from some sketchy site isn't really a solution. Hope you can fix this, I'd love to check out your game. :)

RE:Source by Isaac 2017-05-14T18:58:11Z

Very cool, clean graphics. Would be great if you could trade in minerals for fuel or upgrades or something, especially since you don't have enough space for all the minerals and I didn't find a way to get rid of any of them. Not sure if I've seen all there is but I was impressed by how much you were able to make.

Imagine Running Into You Here by Mistodon 2017-05-16T17:53:49Z

Nice little puzzle game! Well done on designing the levels, they were really good and challenging.

I found that the AI behaved a little weirdly sometimes(not taking the shortest route towards me).

Together Alone by AceWay 2017-05-14T07:37:12Z

Nice! Something that bothered me a lot were the crates which I assumed were upgrades but apparently just give you a random gun. I ended up losing because I picked up a pistol again. Having to press the mouse button to fire every single shot(on the pistol) didn't feel great to me because there also is a delay between each shot, so faster clicking didn't actually result in faster shooting. But your shots feel like they actually have some impact because of the slight recoil and the good particle effects. Good job on the pixel art and the whole style of the game, very cool. The sound effects and music are very fitting as well.

Aligned by SergioArroyo 2017-05-12T15:36:50Z

Very nice presentation and fun gameplay, although I think it might speed up a little too quickly(almost felt like a geometrical increase).

King of Vampires by RandyTayler 2017-05-01T16:54:49Z

This is neat! But I think it would be better as a turn-based game. The way it is now I was always frantically clicking on an area and hammering the "turn" button a few times to keep from going extinct. Also: I think it's how the numbers work out but what often happened was that an area went from a full population bar to no humans left in 1 turn, which didn't give me any time to react.

Space Miner by houseforest 2017-05-12T15:00:49Z

Cool little game! I like the dark side of the planet, that was a neat touch with the headlights, makes the red beams especially menacing. What I didn't like was the sound effect for picking up stuff. It quickly got on my nerves.

MOOD 1 by ishi 2017-05-13T07:16:05Z

I've never played(only seen) the original DOOM, so I don't know how accurate it is but it looks about right. The enemy's hitboxes seemed a bit weird and the blood splashes could have been a bit bigger. Also not sure what's up with the boss. It just sat there(on the weird invisible hemisphere) doing nothing. Was it supposed to shoot projectiles or something? Pretty cool!

Floating Towers by Vony256 2017-05-11T07:36:32Z

As @county-agent said, the start is really difficult and then it's trivial to survive indefinitely. I only had a few pixels of health left but survived long enough to cover each tile in both a spike trap and a tower (not sure if you are supposed to be able to, the sprites were flickering like crazy).

Trienne's Trial by ltpats 2017-05-01T11:05:13Z

Cool little game! The sprites look great and making friends is always nice. :)

Universal Journey by mundell 2017-05-01T09:51:03Z

Looks great and is really fun. Overall very impressive! One suggestion: maybe have a fixed location for the reset button, when you explode at the right side of the screen it's hard to see.

Crustacean Frustration by nofxboy1234 2017-05-02T08:31:02Z

Took me a second to figure out that you could double-jump. After that the game was much more fun. The platforming was solid and the way enemies react to being hit felt pretty good. Being able to reflect projectiles(sometimes) was a cool addition too.

I love the unique art style. And the music fit it very nicely too.

Kaboom Land by MichCan 2017-05-14T10:36:29Z

This game looks super weird but cool. There are a few places where a difference in style is a little strange, especially between the main menu and the main game. The gameplay was pretty good, there was enough to do. Though the invading aliens were mostly annoying, in the end I lost because I was under a pile of like 10 of them, so they certainly are a threat too. Once they got stuck in a place(at a tree or turret), they pretty much formed a wall because there was no way of placing a mine close enough to them for it to explode. Once that happened on both sides of me and I could only break through once an incoming meteor allowed me to use up a turret they had gotten stuck on. That's a little weird but doesn't break the game, you only need to watch out.

Overall a cool little game!

Pong of Gods by OptimusCrask 2017-05-17T09:18:30Z

Really fun concept!

I found it fairly difficult because of the multitasking aspect of it and hitting anything with the rockets seems like it's pretty much just based on luck. Maybe make those faster or give them a little bit of homing?

SurviBall by Raysangar 2017-05-01T18:26:52Z

The way I ended up playing involved spending almost all of my turns making food/building up the cabin to eat in with only occasionally being able to squeeze in a turn for the mystery building, which wasn't very fun. The game looks stunning though and has lots of charm. Just maybe make it a bit more lenient in the hunger department. :)

Boots In Space by marianomiii 2017-05-16T19:33:03Z

Some sort of goal would have been nice, maybe just a simple collectible. The movement mechanics were cool just by themselves too though.

Blood Cell Defender by Case 2017-05-12T19:21:58Z

Giving the oncoming cells and whatnot some random spin would make the game even better-looking I think, but it's already pretty cool. I actually found the atmosphere quite creepy, in a good way.

Kantum Leap-a by nudleHiraKana 2017-05-14T09:31:25Z

Almost made it to 1 minute!

Very simple game but well-made.

Cookery Mockery by orangemagik 2017-05-16T19:46:15Z

Wow, this looks great! Too bad you were unable to get it to a "playable" state. But just running around, messing up food was pretty fun. Although I found the dragging mechanic to be a bit finicky.

Extra points for the cloth/softbody deformation on the cheese. :D

TerraIncognita by darkfieldgames 2017-05-11T07:16:17Z

While the concept is pretty cool, in its current state it's kinda hard to enjoy. Having to figure out what to do without any instructions is neat but the counter is way too fast in the beginning. I didn't figure out what makes it slow down sometimes so that could be my fault. The game also feels somewhat unresponsive, for one because there's no indication which type of building is selected and then because it takes over a second for anything to happen after you click on the planet. Showing the radius the building will occupy when hovering might help. With the current system I often placed an additional building because it felt like the first click didn't register.

Both the game's simple visual style and music are nice, the game itself is just too difficult to play.

Global by AndrewJAdams 2017-05-10T19:46:52Z

At first it was super relaxing(nice graphics, really relaxed music), then became somewhat frantic. I finally got overwhelmed at 50ish. That felt like a good progression.

The presentation is good and easy to read, the rotation is sometimes a little wonky but that's quaternions for you. The way you interact is clear and most of the time you have no problems to execute what you are trying to do. A few times the auto-rotation made me mess up a bit. Correcting those mistakes was quick to do though.

Well done :)

eiland by rubna 2017-05-01T09:32:23Z

I enjoyed it but for some reason it was running at a snail's pace for me. Really cool style and solid execution.

LD39 — Running out of Power

Once Upon a Spaceship by PixzleOne 2017-08-20T09:59:38Z

Wow, I love the way you present everything, the UI and interstitial screens are just gorgeous, well done!

The gameplay is very simple though and I'm not sure if the balance is fair right now...I ran out of batteries because there were none to collect and I don't think I missed any on that stage. Sometimes they would spawn behind asteroids though, so that might have happened.

Power Crisis by Gulyasarni66 2017-08-01T14:09:41Z

Neat little platformer!

Trials of the Vapor Lattice by oxysoft 2017-08-01T09:01:25Z

Nice job pulling off the old-school graphics style! The combat was okay, I mostly just mashed the shoot button as quickly as possible while moving around. You could try adding enemies that force you to switch the target, like an enemy that shields other ones from damage, something that requires you to use some strategy.

A problem I ran into was with the first head enemy. I tried hiding behind the tree at first because it seemed to block the beams(at least visually) but kept dying. Seems you can pass trough the beams without getting hurt, you just have to avoid their place of impact? That felt a bit weird.

That easter egg..."Whoa!" indeed.

Crownless by Galan 2017-08-04T18:41:49Z

Very short but also very sweet! It has a great art style and the gameplay is very solid. Especially the later encounters actually ended up being a lot more about strategy than dexterity, thanks to the very frequent(and very much appreciated) checkpoints.

When I started it up there were a bunch of error messages in the little console window, it ran without issues though.

Lost Lantern by Phaix 2017-08-20T10:20:28Z

Wow, this freaked me way out! Well done on the atmosphere.

Gain Quest: The Art of Muscle by Devastus 2017-08-04T18:33:20Z

Wow, amazing sprite work! Loved the humor and overall style.

The only problem that I have is that you are using X and Z for controls. I have a European keyboard, so Z and Y are switched, making the minigames much more difficult - and they felt quite hard to begin with. Still had a bunch of fun though!

Escape from Solar Sea Fortress by designernap 2017-08-02T16:06:57Z

Beautiful, I love the design of the machines and the tower as well as the gameplay concept.

BUT I got really, really frustrated with the handling of the batteries. Every time I moved above anything but a crawl or turned to quickly they would just go flying and bounce all over the place. Even trying to pick them up more often than not was an issue, with the battery suddenly dropping from the ceiling every time I clicked on it. I think I'll go back once I'm not quite as angry anymore and try to play it to the end.

Still, everything except the physics is very nice. Well done for such a short amount of time!

Battery Box by mrnannings 2017-08-21T19:29:45Z

Very simple but well-executed!

At first I thought I was steering the vehicle with my mouse, turns out it's click-to-go-there. Maybe make the vehicle movement more involved, I think that would make it more interesting. :)

Power Ownage by Drury 2017-08-20T10:10:44Z

Wow, that was disorienting! The perspective really messed with my brain. I had a bunch of fun though, really well done!

Clone Colony by tmpxyz 2017-08-06T11:16:50Z

Wow, really complex! In my opinion there are almost too many options for a jam game. Because of the sheer number of games you just don't have enough time to explore the full depth offered here.

This is very impressive though!

Run'n Score by MatKubik 2017-08-02T19:07:02Z

Nice little runner!

I stopped after ~2 minutes, for a while it felt like it was speeding up, does the difficulty ramp up over time?

Five swords to Hell by Javier Diez 2017-08-01T15:32:00Z

At first I was trying to also "collect" all the red swords, that was a mistake. Pretty frantic and neat game!

Hope Glider by Spotline 2017-08-21T19:37:05Z

Oh, the fluid simulation aspect makes it really cool, well done! In general a very fun and good-looking little game. Nice, upbeat music too.

On The Line [multiplayer] by Robinerd 2017-08-03T09:24:48Z

I had pretty much the same experience, tried it out with nobody else online and also encountered the bug where pressing space did nothing most of the time. I'm not sure that bug is because of lag or anything, all other movement was smooth and my connection should have been pretty good.

The hand-drawn style is really nice!

Escape Velocity by Klowner 2017-08-20T09:35:26Z

Neat little game, I also really enjoyed the art style.

For the most part I stayed in the bottom part of the ship, charging the three batteries and using them on the lower engine, until one of the batteries clipped into a wall... I think there should be something to force you to actually use the different engines/chargers. Maybe the engines overheat when you use them over and over or the charger on the ceiling charges the batteries more/faster. Stuff like that.

Being able to throw the batteries around would also be a neat addition, I think. With the reticle it felt that was something you'd be able to do but the batteries were always dropped at my feet.

Overall very well done for a first LD entry though! :)

Flipswitch by fusionnist 2017-08-04T18:00:43Z

Cool game! The gameplay is fun, graphics and music fit together very well. But it's a little difficult right now.

Candy Wars by Jason200101 2017-08-06T19:03:33Z

I like the weird art style. The writing is pretty funny in places, though overall I have to say that I would have preferred more interactivity :)

SolarPower by jesusnoseq 2017-08-02T09:28:13Z

I really like the presentation, simple but good-looking. It being on a 2D plane but shown at an angle is a cool touch. I never got very far but had some fun with it, well done! A representation of how close to a star you have to be to get energy from it might be helpful.

Metal Rescue by UnidayStudio 2017-08-04T17:24:12Z

Hm, is this that new Blender realtime engine? This is the first game made with it that I played. It ran terribly until I chose to disabled the shaders, then it was okay but not very smooth. There were still a lot of issues with clipping through walls and such though.

But I made it through and escaped! The platforming was pretty difficult because your jumps are very floaty and the movement is pretty jerky. Those humans and...giant saw blades...are really dangerous! I got a lot of use out of those checkpoints, they were needed as frequently as they appeared.

It took me way too long to get the "trick" to the lockpicking game. Good job on the presentation of that btw!

Mayor on a Roll by maniacanshul 2017-08-02T10:27:13Z

Zooming around the map being chased by lots of people is really fun, well done!

Lantern by Kaban 2017-08-01T08:36:21Z

The visuals and audio work together very well to create a great, creepy atmosphere, well done! I especially love the art style, it's perfect for the game. The gameplay is very simple but I enjoyed it. To me the controls felt a bit unresponsive sometimes but that could also have been by browser struggling.

Turtle's Quest by orcdraco 2017-08-04T18:29:56Z

So cute! The art looks great, sadly the controls are a bit difficult to handle.

Oh.S. by spelos 2017-08-01T15:16:04Z

Cool concept! I think it could start out a little easier, I never survived for very long. But really cool style and I love that weird computer guy :D

Deep Raider by kr4ft3r 2017-08-06T19:01:24Z

Really good atmosphere, creepy as hell. The sub was cool, I liked having all the controls there in the actual environment and having to turn to use them made things more tense. The sound design was great too. Well done!

The story didn't really do anything for me though and was delivered in a really awkward way compared to the rest of the game.

CH05EN 1 by Firefluid 2017-08-04T19:46:03Z

I enjoyed it. All the moving spikes seemed far too fast to glide(run) over them, always had to hover or suffer the hit. Hovering upwards was very slow and the limited energy made dealing with the spikes kinda tricky but I eventually made it to the end where I had the same experience as Steven: nothing special happened - but I enjoyed just hanging out there for a bit :) The voxel art was pretty good too, well done overall!

Politics - Rome by Julisep 2017-08-02T09:44:16Z

It seems pretty cool but I was never sure what to do and kept dying after a fairly short time. The number of stats you have right off the bat is a little overwhelming, I think. It would be cool if they could be introduced gradually with little tutorials.

Rats will kiss the gunner's daughter by Mr.Houdini 2017-08-01T13:30:32Z

This is really cool! Great concept and executed very well with fitting art, music and writing.

Apparently I'm a bad judge of character though, taking a saltwater nap now.

System.reLight by Reggnos 2017-08-01T15:48:24Z

Well done with the atmosphere! The lighting is really good and makes it really creepy. The monsters only making sounds when they attack made it very startling whenever one managed to sneak up to you in the darkness too! I found the music to be a little bit to cheerful, it didn't really fit super well in my opinion.

Lost in Translation at Space by elmismopancho 2017-08-20T14:35:42Z

The first time I've used voice commands and it worked surprisingly well! I love the art style too, a brilliant entry.

They Attack At Night by randomphantom 2017-08-06T12:07:30Z

Gorgeous! The neon style is very nice.

I kept falling into the pits though...those are pretty devious :) Having to scope out the area using your shots as the light source was a really cool idea. So was spending your health/power to repair generators. Overall really good job.

Wayside : A world awaits you by TheCodeFactory 2017-08-01T09:20:21Z

Good looking game and pretty fun too!

It feels like the little robot has a parachute or something though - once you reach the apex of the jump it seems to lose a lot of its inertia and glides down slowly. I also think that waiting for the robot to land after running out of power might be a good idea, in case you reach the goal after falling. At one point the robot just floated on the "fountain" for a few seconds because I had run out of energy just before hitting it, so I had to play the level again.

The music was neat at first...but it got kinda annoying fairly quickly.

The power of blood by Arknostik 2017-08-01T18:01:16Z

*cronch* "Delicious!" :D This is really fun and also very nice to look at, well done!

Times New Robots by Alex Tantum 2017-08-03T10:40:09Z

This is pretty cool. I like the looks of the robots and turrets. I didn't survive long though, those batteries run out quick! And the gun really seemed to do nothing...

Pura The Robot by Ramkey 2017-08-04T17:53:02Z

Neat game, I like the beam-interrupting mechanic, especially that you can just drop you body parts to block them. The game going dark when you "lose your head" is a cool touch!

I didn't get very far, that shooter bouncing up-and-down quickly foiled me MANY times. It would have been good to have a beam to shut it off.

Good work! :)

The Color of Days To Come. by TheOneThatNeverWas 2017-08-04T16:13:26Z

The story kind of lost me after a while, but this was pretty much perfectly executed. The graphics and sound, as well as the general presentation, were extremely well done! Good choice of style, and again, great execution!

The only thing I encountered that seemed like a bug was that during the later(didn't test it at first) "morning routine" scenes you could click on things out of order. It didn't break anything but was a little jarring.

Power Necromancell by e9aru 2017-08-21T19:20:19Z

Really neat concept! I liked your minions having a constant cost, although I never really got into trouble with my power level.

ANSWER ME! by Viliar 2017-08-06T12:29:06Z

Cool, novel concept!

The graphics are pretty simple but fit very well. The writings pretty funny, although I have to say, I actually got tripped up by typos and weird smileys in the messages a few times.

At first I had NO idea you actually had to type, I thought the red circle was just how long it takes to input the message so I was just waiting and then an empty red box appeared. Once I had figured that out I got a lot more done. But nearing the end the timer got far too quick for some of the responses.

Well done overall, only improvement would be some music, maybe some light sound effects for new messages popping up etc.

Theresa Dreams of Wheat by essell 2017-08-01T11:34:23Z

Cool idea to go with a political power theme. I remember that wheat comment...if it went down like this it certainly was very naughty! Ended up committing 30 assaults.

Li'l Icarus by PouleyKetchoupp 2017-08-04T16:36:35Z

Fun little game! It might be a little easy right now, I won on my first run and then crashed Icarus on purpose to see what would happen...

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Mountain Diver by Ithildin 2017-12-20T08:33:10Z

Cool little game, love the way the gameplay changes.

Took me a second to figure out how to use the booster, a sound while charging it might help tell the player that something is actually happening.

Radioactive Cavemen by deathray 2017-12-20T08:05:14Z

Cool little game, really felt a bit like watching an anthill. Filled with really lazy ants, just wandering about :P

The digging was a bit tedious, a drag mode would have been nice. And some more options for stuff to do, maybe additional build options and such? I really like the sprites, the mutants look very fun.

Lice Hard by cptalbertwesker 2017-12-15T19:33:09Z

Ahh, can't stop scratching! And they spread so fast! Not sure if I fully grasped the controls...I usually clicked-and-dragged a bunch, then let go and some stuff would suddenly disappear. I love the humming and little sound effects, very fun design overall :)

The 800 Page Hedgehog and Bunny Epic by miziziziz 2017-12-15T19:08:24Z

Those are some nightmarish hedgehogs! Cool game :)

Kindergarten by dvdking 2017-12-09T16:50:07Z

Yeesh, those parents are demanding - I got closed down after just 3 days...Really cool concept, I had fun with it. The food mini-game was a nice touch too. The only thing that was a little annoying was that it was hard to tell if certain things were actually doing anything, especially the ball. Oh, and you should be able to spend some time making more food if you were not fast enough at the beginning of the day. Well done!

Game of Virus by Kolbjorn 2017-12-09T17:57:38Z

I love cellular automata! This was really fun, just a neat thing to mess around with - very well done!

One thing I was a little confused by was that before I had quarantined the virus it kept popping up in places where I had already eliminated all traces of it...what are the rules there? I guess the game would be a bit easy if you could just spray and pray the virus to extinction :)

Candy Overlord by citsua 2017-12-09T16:34:07Z

Hehe, really funny and good-looking too! There were a few issues with movement, it often was very stuttery and once I got caught on that fence of the house on the hill, which caused me to be a floaty boy...and I couldn't get to any of the houses down below :( I'd say maybe turn the ghost speed down a bit, I found it a little difficult. But still fun!

Candy Overlord by citsua 2017-12-09T16:54:09Z

@citsua Yeah, I was playing full-screen and I'm pretty sure I was still a normal boy when I started floating. Weird bug...but starting over is quickly done, so it's not too bad :)

Tuftles by Zirrrus 2017-12-04T11:29:10Z

@mcfish Ha, it honestly never crossed my mind that you could run out of creatures. :D

Tuftles by Zirrrus 2017-12-07T11:21:06Z

@maysick I agree, there's a lack of variation. I had planned a system where a child inherits the colours of both parents but didn't get to it.

Briiik by Goloso Games 2017-12-20T08:18:50Z

It's actually good that I didn't read the instructions, I was nervous about not knowing what to do at first but learning by playing and making mistakes was really quite fun. Well done! Oh, and cool style too!

Cute invaders by sgadrat 2017-12-27T21:51:41Z

Thanks for checking out my game! This is, I think, the third game of this style that I've come across this jam with very similar gameplay and mechanics but each one has it's own thing to make it unique - that is really neat to see.

This is a very cool entry too! Those chickens are very cute, the style overall is very fun, well done! The difficulty seems very high, those chickens are maybe a bit too needy but it makes for an interesting challenge. And those little animations are just perfect :D

Sanguinite by Wheffle 2017-12-20T08:12:43Z

Really neat, has a great old-school feel to it. Well done!

NoteBoy by carlosvVk 2017-12-15T19:15:02Z

Cool concept! Though I have to say, I found it very difficult - the hitboxes of the enemies seemed a bit big. And is there a bit of a delay to your jumps? The latter one could have been because I was playing in the browser. Very well done though, polished too!

Extreme Whiski Slalom by bigbazwa 2017-12-20T08:27:06Z

Fun and funny, the voiced sound effects were a great touch.

The way you were set back onto the track after hitting an obstacle was a bit annoying, it pretty much always placed me such that I would hit the obstacle again immediately.

The explorer by Stepan Shabalin 2017-12-09T17:03:49Z

Cool, little game! Very difficult but the instant restart makes that bearable :) Good job on putting in audio, I never get to that...but I have to say, the song got really annoying real quick :P

Also love that the level is sometimes different beyond a certain point, that helps ease the pain of failing and having to start from the beginning over and over.

Bike taxi service by snarf2000 2017-12-20T07:51:53Z

Fun little game! The voxel art was really good, well done! Good thing the timer just keeps decrementing without any consequences, else I would have never managed to do it :P

Heavy Hearts by Badly Drawn Rod 2017-12-09T17:42:50Z

You nailed that old-school aesthetic, well done! I had fun...my keyboard not so much. RIP, spacebar.

404: Space Not Found by Tom Schneider 2017-12-25T13:16:50Z

At first it seemed way too easy, then I realized what was going on. Great concept and excellent execution. The writing is funny, the pixel art is great.

Only thing was that at one time I sent a ship of mine to a space that was currently occupied but would have been free the next turn and lost. But that's just part of the rules I guess.

Really good entry!

10 inches or less by Almost Panda Studio 2017-12-25T17:10:47Z

This is great. Fun art style and cool mechanics, well done!

Didgeribug in da place ! by Hippunk 2017-12-25T15:55:41Z

I like the design but couldn't get into the game because of the controls. Still very cool though! :)

Pub Crawler by GiraffeCat 2017-12-25T14:03:56Z

Great entry! The visuals are really fun and the random pub name generation is just perfect.

Only thing that's a bit worrying is that your final destination is a parking lot...foreshadowing for a sequel maybe?

Greedy Dungeons by Nils -Gecko- Munch 2017-12-25T13:26:10Z

Nice, I enjoyed it, until I ran into the gargoyles. They made the whole thing a bit tedious. But still a cool concept and nicely executed!

Also cool that you put it on Steam, cudos!

Waltz by Steffan 2017-12-25T15:59:37Z

Very interesting concept. I don't have an ear for music at all and didn't get far but I can appreciate the idea and execution.

Herd of Bunnies by SnoutUp 2017-12-25T13:42:28Z

Thanks for checking out my game! You're right, we really went for a similar theme :D

The game looks great and it's fun balancing your willingness to slaughter little rabbit babies right after birth versus the money it costs to feed them. At one point my money counter broke and only displayed NaN$, also preventing me from feeding the rabbits. Luckily I was almost done and the board filled up before anyone starved. :)

The art and sound is great, well done!

High Protein Diet Dungeon by Lex 2017-12-12T19:12:06Z

Cool game, I was terrible at it though. I liked the voxel art, very nice.

Robbery of a Train by Yohoho Games 2 2017-12-25T16:14:57Z

The presentation makes the gameplay even more fun, neat ideas!

Cthulhu Writer by BjarkeAL 2017-12-10T15:06:17Z

Oh, good one. When that whispering kept getting louder and I kept misspelling Their names I actually got kind of freaked out. Excellent work on the sound design!

LD42 — Running out of space

Stacked Odds by Josh Riley 2018-08-25T09:02:59Z

Really cool concept, but wow, am I not able to actually play it properly. My brain just can't process the sheer number of...numbers on the screen at any time, so I was just sliding rows around until something seemed to happen. I'm a bit sleepy right now but I think I could have used a board with fewer rows in general. Good work, no matter how scrambled my brain feels right now!

Wells cleaner by Sublustris 2018-08-26T10:11:04Z

Great art! The controls were a little weird but simple enough that getting used to them wasn't a problem.

Overminers Inc. by quadtree 2018-08-26T07:30:02Z

This a really fun game! The graphics are simple but very clean and crisp, the music is catchy and doesn't get annoying quickly and the gameplay is simple but well-thought-out and easy to learn. Overall just a very good entry!

One small thing though: I found distinguishing my units from the ones of other players pretty difficult, those flags are tiny. Maybe on your turn highlight units to show which ones can still act, I constantly lost track of my turrets and buggies.

Well done, cheers!

Get Off My Lawn by silkworm_sweatshop 2018-08-25T11:14:48Z

This is charming and fun, really enjoyed playing it. My lawn made it for 30 waves :)

MULT by AlexHoratio 2018-08-23T19:51:27Z

Neat graphics and good game feel! The "music" in the beginning was incredibly grating but the track on the main level was pretty good. Had some fun with it, well done!

Chief Data Engineer by candlesan 2018-08-26T07:47:21Z

At first I was disappointed in how easy the levels were but the difficulty increased in a very satisfying manner and you did some interesting things with the shapes, it ended up being a really good and rewarding experience.

The style and themeing of it is absolutely on point. I love the strange abstract shapes you used to represent the data. I know next to nothing about Star Trek but it felt like it fit that universe very well.

Really good job!

W a l l i f o r n i c a t i o n by psychead 2018-08-26T09:39:28Z

Very well-designed! At first I didn't get why I was exploding but eventually figured it out. Had a bunch of fun with it.

Astropocalypse by adrisj7 2018-08-25T11:37:32Z

Oh, this is cool but really made me want to throw up for some reason, so I couldn't play it for long. But I like the pumped-up music and the fast-paced action! Now I need to go lay down for a bit though.

Rick Dervish - Space Cadet by coldfire83 2018-08-26T11:38:31Z

I wish I wasn't this terrible at schmups. But still a fun game, the art is...special. :)

The music is really good. Multiple tracks too!

Pizza Defender by Sloyd 2018-08-25T08:09:46Z

Love the pixel art! Having the enemies chomp away your ground is a really neat idea. There are a few additional tricks to make these kind of rapid-fire defending games feel even better, like screen-shake and pausing the game for a very short time on every impact and such. There is a talk called "The art of screenshake" on YouTube, it has some good advice in it.

Well done, it was a bunch of fun! Too bad about the sound but I always forget/don't have time, so I get it. Cheers!

Hiding Spot by toboggan 2018-08-26T09:57:32Z

Very cool game! Like the take on the theme. The only issue I ran into at first was mapping the slightly tilted directions to WASD, I kept moving in the wrong direction.

I got stuck on level 3 for a bit. Being able to hide next to "empty" space(the gray void) is a bit intuitive.

Well done!

XORN: The Fallen God by ThibaultAr 2018-08-25T07:28:10Z

Really nice! Great graphics and music, well done!

Bad Trains by Radical Dog 2018-08-23T19:45:33Z

The controls are a bit janky, but overall a neat little game! I also noticed some pretty good tutorializing, well done!

Climb by Albin 2018-08-26T08:45:47Z

The art and animations of the little blob are really cute and charming :)

Fun little game!

Sakaven Simimulator by T8kk 2018-08-25T08:27:36Z

Wow, doing all this modelling, texturing, rigging and all in such a short time is really impressive! Well done!

TooooClose by Alexandre2BI 2018-08-25T08:49:09Z

I was terrible at it and didn't get far but had fun playing! The ways the walls scale was very disconcerting to me for some reason, they seems to shift weirdly all the time. Not sure if that effect was intentional but made the game a lot more intense for me.

Space Runner by Guilhermoni 2018-08-25T08:32:28Z

Love the hand-drawn graphics, they really give the game its charm. I didn't really figure out how to actually use a planet's atmosphere and the controls took some getting used to but I had some fun with it.

Leaving Room by LastLeaf 2018-08-26T10:05:09Z

Very good blend of narrative and gameplay! The change in music really emphasized the shift in mood. Very good job!

Drifting Statuary by squirmonkey 2018-08-25T08:43:33Z

This is very good! It felt very strategic, having to consider in what order and where you move your angels, while your options are more and more limited by the increasing number of statues. Well done!

NIGHTMARE by mcarrera 2018-08-26T10:17:59Z

Fun, frantic little game. Sometimes green thingies that were small didn't seem to register when I moved over them, I guess their colliders also get smaller. The music added to the hectic nature of the gameplay. Nice!

Aperature XP by Johan Vischer 2018-08-26T08:53:31Z

Ah, that brings back memories :)

Fun game, I love that the way you interact with it emulates the way you do stuff on a normal desktop, well done! That "BSOD" actually had me worries for a half-second ;D

Rigid Flame by Teo Miklethun 2018-08-26T10:22:43Z

Really, really fun! The music is almost too catchy, I love it.

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Sorcerer Babies by geeitsomelaldy 2018-12-09T18:57:14Z

Oddly satisfying, I'm a sucker for watching numbers grow. It was very easy, you could probably have cranked up the enemies a bit.

Also: thank you for putting in an end state, otherwise this might have taken up way too much of my time.

Dungeon of Sacrifice by kantieno 2018-12-09T19:07:06Z

Cool, love those hand-drawn graphics! Overall has a nice look to it, well done. I always chose wounds(since I didn't find a way to regain any health) but honestly it did not seem to impact my character very much...

LD46 — Keep it alive

Night of the Killer Beetles by ErikU 2026-04-24T18:27:11Z

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

The Pit by dikkop 2022-04-05T17:40:18Z

Looks and sounds great, pretty fun to throw stuff in the pit too (great feedback!) - I played it by myself, so I'm not sure what's it like to compete against others.

Sorcery's End by James Dunlap 2022-04-06T18:31:03Z

WHEN NANA SAYS IT'S TIME FOR SCHOOL by alyd asmar 2022-04-07T16:09:47Z

Such a cool concept, I've never played a game of this style and had a blast. The art, writing and overall design are all pretty much perfect. I'll definitely keep exploring it.

The Last Nightmare by Aniki_ta 2022-04-06T18:34:17Z

TBD - Time-based disaster by Zirrrus 2022-10-03T09:54:50Z

@cafebeef @rob6566 Thanks for pointing out the problems, I forgot about downgrading the graphics for the Html5 build. There is now an updated web version, which should cause fewer issues (I hope).

@gotanod Thank you! I thought about adding invisible walls, but forgot... in the updated version players should be properly trapped. The switching tiles have 3 modes: jump pad, health pickup and closed / nothing. The dotted blocks are just for decoration. I had plans for them, but no time to implement those.

Fish n Keys by BobFish 2022-10-03T10:19:57Z

Fun and funny game, neat concept and perfect choices of menu items! It's great that you don't need to memorize the key combinations but can tell by the order name. Love the art too, it reminded me a bit of Kingdom of Loathing. I guess my keyboard is too cheap to play properly though... some combinations of keys just won't work. But that's a hardware problem.

Limited Window by Justin Klinchuch 2022-10-09T05:12:35Z

I think you did a good job of implementing the concept you described for the amount of time. The first time a trapezoid moved I got quite startled, fun!

10 Second Apocalypse by TexelProto 2022-10-03T10:32:26Z

Great result for a first jam entry! It was a bit too difficult for me, the enemies came rushing long before I had any resources. The corruption tentacles are really neat, cool animation!

Not sure what's going on, but the embedded version at the top shows up as just a white rectangle. The standalone version works fine though.

Catnip Express by rubentipparach 2023-05-08T16:27:46Z

Parcel Panic by pdotjpg 2023-05-09T17:22:48Z

Great, love the mechanics and the visuals. Well done! Sometimes packages just vanished and seemed to maybe be bouncing around off-screen? Not sure. But who cares, mail is piling up too quickly anyway...

CropCopter by Douwe_Ravers 2023-05-01T09:53:13Z

I get a 404 when clicking the itch.io links. Is the page maybe not public?

CropCopter by Douwe_Ravers 2023-05-20T06:38:03Z

A really nice relaxing experience. I thought it was pretty intuitive what you had to do - except for the pancakes, I couldn't identify what the model represented. But as soon as I knew, I could figure out the recipe. There is is an 'exploit' that I used a lot - when you rapidly click a thing, you can pick it up multiple times while it is disappearing.

Bumbol by MiniBetrayal 2023-05-09T17:14:40Z

779939.0400000848_image.png I love these addresses with just the country switched out though, they are really funny to me. Great job!

Crazy Post Office by ZenBreaker 2023-05-09T16:25:43Z

Silly physics make everything more fun! This was neat

Courier Cacophony by SugarSugarSugar 2023-05-02T10:20:51Z

So many levels, nice! Great job overall, looks good, works well and is fun.

Oliver the Bartender by sdelay 2023-05-03T19:18:01Z

That was cute and pretty fun!

Mira-sol by MrAlcoro 2023-05-11T16:39:07Z

This was a really chill, fun experience. Very sleek-looking too, well done!

Rolling Pizza by Ruslan Kossak 2023-05-01T09:49:08Z

I ran over so many people... at least they got a free pizza. Is there a double-jump? It seemed to randomly trigger one. Controls feel a bit fiddly, but it just adds some challenge.

This Side Up by Avinancy Games 2023-05-01T09:39:34Z

This was really fun! Got stuck on the last level... Great idea and execution. I wish the controls were a little bit more responsive, I just felt like I couldn't get the timing right on the last level. Also really cool that you included extra modes!

LD54 — Limited Space

Limited card space by Zirrrus 2023-10-02T17:03:25Z

@tasakasama Thanks for the feedback! I applied the fix from the embedding guide, hope the HTML5 version works here now too. There is still much to fix and I have many ideas for improvements, so I'll probably keep tinkering.

BLOCKO 2000 DELUX MEGA PULSAR BIG THING XTREME..! .. Maybe not.. .. . by INCD021 2023-10-03T12:09:54Z

Amazing puzzle game, great job designing the levels! I got stuck in level 7, and gave up. But the game had me hooked and I came back and solved the rest. Really, really good jam game!

Dozer Dash by IDidGame 2023-10-05T18:54:51Z

Great jam game! Easy to understand and fun to play :)

Tabletrack Turbulence by Phlip45 2023-10-03T06:51:58Z

Once I got the hang of the movement mechanic, it was pretty fun! I like that there is no limit to flicks, just shooting the disc all over the place and attempting trick shots was neat. Interesting idea, and well executed! And cute barks :)

Cave Crawl by jellycopter 2023-10-03T12:54:11Z

Really fun idea and has a great unique look. But I couldn't get the hang of it - got stuck getting through the small tunnel at the start.

Light snakes by Sentmoraap 2023-10-02T18:04:38Z

Neat! I only played on my own for a bit, but this seems really neat. Having a direction-dependent turn is crazy difficult for me though. It's very impressive what you managed to create without using an engine in such a short time!

Hunt for Emperor Littlefin by Pincushion 2023-10-02T18:45:02Z

I really enjoyed the look of the environment. Kind of look like a magic eye thing. The walls were really the most dangerous enemy, the king eventually got stuck to me and was unable to do anything while I spammed the aoe attack. Cute jam game!

Space Phantasy XIV - Disc 5 by Frogravity 2023-10-03T10:18:50Z

This is great, really funny. Well done!

Bee Catcher by Jeremy Klassen 2023-10-03T07:04:04Z

I had to imagine that these were striped flies, because bees are too cute and precious to eat. Patience being frequently rewarded by getting 2 or 3 at once was really neat. I only used the little shove from the tongue to move (because I didn't try the keys), so they kind of spawned in lanes behind each other. Good job! The embed on here gives me a 404, says it didn't find the index.html (it has to be in the zip root directly, not a subfolder). The one on itchio worked though.

Rusty Barrel by KenForest 2023-10-05T18:36:33Z

I got too freaked out and had to quit. Great job!

LD55 — Summoning

The Ritual by silkworm_sweatshop 2024-04-17T11:07:21Z

A really, really great entry! Only issue: I was not able to summon a rainbow goat :(

Demons stole my stuff by Zirrrus 2024-04-17T16:20:12Z

Thank you for the kind feedback, everyone!

@ViniFlores @simonL If you would like to give it another try, I added a Zip with screenshots of the individual needed configurations. Couldn't find a way to embed them as spoilers, so I had to do it this way.

The ultimate Cup Of Coffee - Summoning The Barista by INCD021 2024-04-17T16:12:47Z

Neat! Took me some tries to find the actual arrangement, but I liked the clues. It was obscure enough to produce an Eureka-moment for me when I figured it out.

The Department by schwede 2024-04-16T18:36:20Z

Interesting idea! You're right, the generated avatars are really cool, well done! My employees must be very chatty, when I had one they were making me tons of money. But with 5 in one meeting they were all gone almost immediately.

The Last Summoner by atomicptr 2024-04-16T18:39:57Z

How fun! I love my little cat army

Arise, QWERT! by niterich 2024-04-27T18:41:17Z

I really like the idea! It was a bit too hectic to figure out the rules easily, which is great. Made it fun to just experiment and slowly learn the effects of certain letters - although I didn't get very far. There is an interesting game here, I think - customizing your attack according to the situation. Probably would need something to force you to switch it up. Great entry, fun graphics too!

Sminer by LightningST 2024-04-16T18:22:45Z

Great entry, love the juciness! I wanted to have almost the exact little passive tower defense combat in my game, but then I decided to rescope. Impressive, what you managed to achieve in such little time!

Asmodeus Web Summons by snesgaard 2024-04-27T17:22:41Z

Hm, I definitely misinterpreted the book. But interesting, having a look into the source code to find the solution :)

SLEEP PARALYSIS by Dinoraz 2024-04-27T18:49:13Z

Really cool, you created a great atmosphere and fun gameplay.

Alea by ne_mene 2024-04-18T17:06:36Z

Always love to see these custom-engine games! I like the idea of having to give up space on the board when rolling duds. Not sure if you can be strategic with it being completely random. Still: neat

GATEWATCH by Vegeo 2024-04-29T18:43:35Z

Really neat, very impressive for the short time! I didn't really get anywhere, power was pretty much stuck at 50% for a long time. Eventually I gave up. It's fun, but I think you could tune it for much more agressive impacts of events. One thing I did not really understand is when you get to make decisions about a hero... are they just on a quest for a random number of days?

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Let's Go to the Magical Frog Party in the Dark Forest! by Tygrak 2024-10-20T05:04:44Z

I didn't pay attention at first and ruined the the party a few times, but then I steered clear of any additional dangerous frogs. Playing it safe worked out well in the end. You made a great deck-building game here! Only thing I was missing was being able to spend coins to remove cards. Also very cute art :)

Badabees by tanis 2024-10-18T17:49:26Z

WELL WELL DONE BEE Really interesting and fun idea!

Orchid by Dining Philosopher 2024-10-21T17:39:59Z

Very interesting idea, and good execution!

Dust Mates by Zirrrus 2024-10-07T14:42:18Z

@prora: Right! I'll need to add a bit of an explanation to the description, sorry!

The things that are still there - which have "0 / X" above them - can be carried by that many units. You are supposed to put them where it says "Weight: 0 / 10". Send however many units are required there, once it is filled up, left-click the thing. Now it should be selected and you can move it around like a normal unit.

I should have made a visual distinction between the gates and the carryable things...

Shrew by LightningST 2024-10-22T18:01:52Z

Extremely impressive what you managed to do in such a short time! The art is perfect, I especially loved the huge red panda

Maginot by vfqd 2024-10-21T17:34:50Z

This was really, really cool. Amazing, what you managed to build in such a short time! Surprisingly good pathfinding, and a nice variety of things to build.

During the first try I did manage to very quickly get myself into an unwinnable condition by directly digging down. But that was just player error. Only thing that could be improved is how the units choose their jobs. All of the diggers seem to go to the same place every time, it seems. And runners tried to go into the sea before they could, focusing on an unreachable item and being stuck.

Honey Hoard by WubbaDuck 2024-10-24T10:28:11Z

Really cool presentation, very impressive for a first attempt at 3d! The sound is also just perfect. I didn't actually manage to make any bees, the button just wouldn't do anything?

Critter Clash by Frogravity 2024-10-22T17:30:34Z

Amazing compo entry! Feels very complete, the variety of parts is really impressive. The whole presentation is also just great! I'm gonna blame my failure on the RNG, hit a couple of leg dry spells... I kept building really beefy creatures which got mulched by approaching enemies without being able to act :(

Tiny Skweek plays Breakout by Recher 2024-10-14T14:34:36Z

Neat! Always cool to see people using their own engine!

Tinymon by aligator 2024-10-19T17:30:19Z

Being able to add your own art is neat, but being able to see what other people have drawn is what makes this game really interesting! The combat isn't all that fun, but a very cool idea overall!

Moldable Monster of Mine by She Wrote 2024-10-14T10:46:16Z

The thing with the shield really messed me up, but I made it.

Very interesting and unique game, great idea and implementation!

Carnivorous Corpse Aquarium : Feed & Thrive by Adrien Tremblay 2024-10-14T10:36:35Z

Retiring with like 500 bucks in my pocket seems much more dangerous than disposing of corpses for organized crime. Interesting game! I really liked the shadow effect of the fishes.

Office Pets! by MisterCarson 2024-10-24T10:22:02Z

Super cute art! It was pretty fun, feeding them for a while... watching them wobble around :)

Botany Blast! by joniv 2024-10-19T17:17:49Z

Really cool mechanic with the scope! Seems like a perfectly _scoped_ and executed jam game, great job!

Final Harvest by Teatoon 2024-10-14T15:02:21Z

Weird. Good weird.

The Bow River by Limegreendead 2024-10-14T14:25:29Z

I'm a bit baffled by what's going on, but the art is charming!

LD57 — Depths

Oh dang, my left hand lost against my right hand just spamming the down arrow :(

Buried Under Profits by tinykidtoo 2025-04-09T17:36:44Z

So, this is how you make a _fun_ submarine game? Restricting the time so much was a good choice, I think, allows for consequence-free experimentation. Great job!

An Angler's Light by Yorsh 2025-04-10T18:38:25Z

Crazy polished for such short time, and a great idea for the central mechanic! Also very funny. Just really good all around, well done!

Puppeteer by benskca 2025-04-08T17:54:41Z

Definitely the best game I've played this time around (so far). Really cool mechanic perfectly executed and presented. Well done!

The Well of Secrets by coatline 2025-04-08T17:00:52Z

I got so scared, fun!

This Blasted Mine by Pincushion 2025-04-07T18:07:05Z

Nice puzzle game! Good job on making the puzzles increase in difficulty in a way that is fun and interesting.

Dead & Buried by Frogravity 2025-04-07T17:55:49Z

I really enjoyed this. Short and sweet, looks great _and_ has very nice audio.

Sunken Secrets by BinaryPrinciple 2025-04-09T18:35:24Z

This was great, the submarine is really cute. I enjoyed making quick forays into the dangerous area and then retreating before another attempt. Took me a bit to figure out what to do with the safe. Maybe you could add a hint to the game's description about being able to shoot

Help! I'm Trapped on The Torment Trapeze. by Yossarian 2025-04-08T16:37:07Z

It was really fun messing around, even though I didn't get very far at all. Great overall mood!

Swoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooord!! by She Wrote 2025-04-09T17:55:12Z

Really cool idea and great presentation!

Dark Pit by Haokai XU 1999 2025-04-08T16:45:41Z

Very interesting idea for the main mechanic, and really solid execution!

Interstellar Dragon - Into the depths... of space! by Camer the Dragon 2025-04-09T16:35:34Z

Really cute art! Does the game have any validation that there is a clear path? It sort of seemed like it usually had a way to go without running into anything (until later in the game). It felt deliberate, but could have been pure randomness.

CONFESSION by pavlov36 2025-04-08T16:53:51Z

I like how the ending is either broken or makes sense in the context of the story. Remembering too far back can be dangerous? Really interesting narrative and great art!

Star in The Core by Follusior 2025-04-08T17:40:22Z

Weird, cool weird. Great art and sound!

931 by Kukatoo 2025-04-08T16:39:03Z

Perfect way to end it. I was kind of dreading the rest of the journey. Really cool atmosphere. Some indicator where things need fixing would have been good, but having to look around in the dark was also kind of neat.

LD58 — Collector

Treasure Goblin by Zirrrus 2025-10-07T17:13:01Z

@palerus7 Thank you, I'm glad you like the character! I wanted to draw an Indiana Jones type and it ended up like this due to my programmer art skills. It even has a beautiful 2-frame walk animation which I couldn't get to show up. I wish I could have done more interesting things, but ran out of time. There are a few elements which I built but didn't get to use (a timer and a laser-activated switch). There were originally going to be 6 dungeons and items (which you can see from the doors and the layout of the briefcase).

@unpronounceable Thank you for the feedback! And good to hear that the web version actually works - I guess the jumble of privacy addons I use broke it.

Treasure Goblin by Zirrrus 2025-10-19T05:07:50Z

@avhatar Thank you for sticking with it, hope it wasn't too frustrating!

@ellaris That's really helpful feedback, thank you! A bunch of things I didn't really think about...

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Build The Road Jack by badpaul34 2018-04-24T17:09:14Z

Really quite a cool concept and stellar execution! The visuals are stunning for a jam game. Well done!

MechaSnek by bluescrn 2018-04-24T19:09:26Z

Stunning! Graphics are just 👌 Very well done, besides the amazing visuals, the music also really adds to it. Just all around great job!

Datesweeper by Tygrak 2018-05-03T18:32:41Z

Oh...I'm absolutely terrible at minesweeper, apparently.

Still, the concept is fun and the game gets the idea across very well. Nice!

Deck Shooter by Jimbly 2018-04-28T08:40:22Z

Generally I don't like Schmups but this was pretty good!

One thing: I got killed by a bullet after I had killed the boss of a level, that felt kinds lame. Maybe give the player invincibilty once the level's over?

Railgear by Hadik 2018-05-03T17:55:44Z

Sadly the web version doesn't run very well for me(that might just be the browser though).

But I still enjoyed the game, cool idea!

Heck Deck by torcado 2018-05-03T18:36:00Z

This has a very neat style and is pretty fun, well done!

Mortal Keybat by dob 2018-04-28T07:59:53Z

I'm not nearly good enough at typing to make any headway in the game but the concept, look and feel were all really good, well done!

a new day dawns by Ovidios 2018-05-07T18:51:44Z

Really cool entry! It's fun and the art and sound are great, overall a very good game!

FLAPPYKARUGA by mrnyarlathotep 2018-05-03T18:25:02Z

Really neat, but sheesh, it gives me a surprising amount of anxiety.

This seems like a well-fitting combination of games too, nicely done!

Flatformer by Nick Rafalski 2018-04-28T08:32:21Z

This is really good! Cool concept and executed very well. Those mouth sounds are perfection.

The only issue I ran into was that I sometimes fell back down from a ledge after a high jump, that felt like janky physics.

Idle Shooter by NicMagnier 2018-04-28T09:09:24Z

Oh man, you absolutely nailed the game feel. All those particles, screen shake...really, really good. I spent like 10 minutes in the tutorial level just because it was so much fun shooting and getting the money.

Superb work!

Interaural Differences by paulturowski 2018-04-28T18:20:44Z

Very interesting! I kinda know what's going on. Maybe? A neat little thing to mess around with though!

土星の台頭 - Saturn Rising by p-r 2018-04-28T08:53:23Z

This is super weird but also intriguing. Pretty cool!

Vector Rabbits Slayer by thiagowaw 2018-04-24T19:20:30Z

Cute pixel art and a fun idea to mix it with another style! Well done.

Think Before Escape by acoto87 2018-04-28T07:53:04Z

Neat game and nice pixel art!

Tetris Crush Saga by Colisan 2018-05-11T16:57:13Z

Very well made! The sound effects were a little grating after a while but while very simple I quite liked the music.

Agent Patissier by sndr 2018-04-28T08:21:35Z

I hate stealth games - but this is so cute :)

Great art and style!

Naturalist Royale - Online! by Chris Hall 2018-04-28T08:47:43Z

Too bad nobody else was playing! I got 9/10 species though, couldn't find the last one.

Cool little game and Kudos for making it multiplayer!

Bananalicious by Jesper K 2018-04-23T17:32:23Z

I'm terrible at this :(

But it's a pretty cool game. Kudos to you for making animated 3D models! The, er, "music" gets a bit annoying after a while. The sound effects are fun though.

Gardening Sim 2019 by shp 2018-04-24T17:04:14Z

Cute style but an occasionally really quite creepy atmosphere. The item handling controls are a bit cumbersome but that only adds to the tension, I guess. Great entry!

LD59 — Signal

Sound the Horns by kr4ft3r 2026-04-24T19:04:25Z

Really cool that you managed to add both PvE and local multiplayer (and even EvE!) I *think* I developed some strategy over time. At least I won more than I lost. Pretty fun!

Hidden Signals by soundgnome 2026-04-29T07:12:17Z

Great execution of an interesting idea! Initially it's a bit difficult to know if anything is happening, some feedback on movement even when far away would be good, I think. And when controlling multiple shapes it might be good to have an indicator which is selected.

Blackboard Eraser Arcade by Loig 2026-04-23T19:05:54Z

Neat twist on Simon says, having to also strategize about the path to take. Great idea! I lost eventually because I got distracted and wasn't quite ready for the next round. Maybe add a confirmation before showing the next sequence?

Space Rover by Harmadillo 2026-04-28T18:36:53Z

Neat! I expected the rotation to be relative not absolute... took me a second to figure out that the game wasn't buggy :)

Bulletproof Broadcast by ugly_robot 2026-04-23T18:51:23Z

I don't like shooting the cool protesters and rebels, but really neat idea and great execution (...ah, yes).

Antwork by Thoastbot 2026-04-28T19:41:27Z

Really cool idea, well done! I like that you included a proper tutorial, thank you

Moon Moth by kanity 2026-04-23T18:59:21Z

Super interesting! Sadly I kept having nightmares (?) about lake mermaids :(

LiliesPond by wo_ri_gou_le 2026-04-24T18:42:20Z

I generally hat rhythm games, but this one was really interesting to play around with. Neat that you have to really think about your movement because of the way the fly moves, great design!

Farwatch by Liquid 2026-04-29T12:47:00Z

Wow! Really impressive, how polished and fully featured this game is for the time you had to build it. The pixel graphics are great too!

Beat the Signal by Fassenberg 2026-04-24T18:53:51Z

Very juicy!

HeartW@rd by NE-Aquilon 2026-05-01T12:48:58Z

Fun, cryptic little game! Very interesting idea with the cycling colors, and then giving you some control over it. I had to cheese the enemies by letting them bunch up at the doors and then just permanently blasting in their direction... but that might just be a skill issue

LD59 Radio by Sylva Aster 2026-04-29T06:43:27Z

Really impressive what you managed to build in this time. Fun radio station tracks too!

Intercept by paracorn 2026-05-01T10:37:52Z

Really solid game with just the right scope for a jam, well done!

Signal Lost by lanatra 2026-04-29T12:25:52Z

Fun game! The falloff gradient for the towers might need to be adjusted a bit... I ended up putting a tower right on top of each house to prevent most of the packets being dropped in the light gray but not quite white areas when connecting a new place to the grid.
