That pixel art is fking awesome!
Nice idea and super cute graphics! I wish there was more content, but anyway: good job!
Ha ha ha, nice! It is very true; vector rabbits do not belong in pixel worlds. ELIMINATE THEM ALL!
I love the pixel art man, it's beautiful
Amazing graphics.
Gorgeous!! Love the character animations and the background!!
Man that pixel art exemplary, it literally made be awestruck. Piece of Art I must say. I would really like to pay for this game, so even if you win this competition, please release the game with a nice ass story. Good Luck :D
Beautiful
nice game l love your character animation everything works great job ^^
Damn the art is awesome, nice concept though, with some expansion you could probably do something with it! Good work while sleeping 8 hours every day XD
Great game. The graphics were on point, however the character jump feels a bit off (positive and negative acceleration seems too similar)
The game looks amazing. It just needs sound and audio. There were a few things that could make it better. Checkpoints so that you don't have to rerun the entire level. The keyboard controls felt a little laggy so that you couldn't really execute timed jumps very well. And there's a weird bug that sometimes your character falls through the ground at the start position (it might be tied to having the right arrow key held when you die and then respawn).
Thanks to everyone who is giving their feedback, I will do the post-jam version and post it on Gamejolt implementing all these settings
Cool art and nice animations! Also controls are very sooth. You can move camera in front of player move dirrection so you will better see where do you run or jump.
As everyone else has said, the pixel art and animations are really gorgeous (I love the running animation) - it's obvious that you put a lot of effort into it. Even though the gameplay is simple, the graphics really bolster the experience.
I'm sure that if you add more content and polish what you've already got (e.g. the slightly-finicky controls), you'll have something very special on your hands!
Nice graphics, but I think the wolf is too fat, because he can't jump too big :)
Great game, the controls feel really smooth and the graphics are on point. The level design could use some more work, maybe have a look at the spacing of the gaps you have to jump, it feels a bit off and slows the fast movement of the game down. Overall great game!
A nice game ! Pretty art and easy to play :) I just needed to read the description to understand where was the uncompatible genres, and I when I saw I thought this was a very good idea :)
Cute pixel art and a fun idea to mix it with another style! Well done.
I don't want a post-jam version, I NEED a PostJam version. Great work! Very charming character, also I loved the bunnies. I wish it was longer! Does it have music? Cause I didn't hear any :( I'll follow on GameJolt!
solid game, the controllers where really tight, although i really didn't quite get which genres you were mixing up for the game, either way, cool graphics cute concept.
Well done! Sure it was missing sound, but the game is fun to play, and that's most important. Really cool designs, and a neat concept with the vector vs. pixel thing. Cool stuff, good work!
Art and animations looks so sweet! What a pitty you didn't finish an audio.
Played pretty good. feels like the hit boxes are a bit off when i when to hit the bunnies but they worked good enough.
I'd say pixel animations are very well done, although I am not sure if I saw what I was supposed to, to me it looked like the dog is running on two legs and leaning forward in a hurry, which is adorable. Dog/wolf is quite charismatic, it would be great if he could wear a musketeer style hat at some stage. No sound was a downer but I quickly forgot about that since the game managed to drag me into some sort of personal experience where after a few respawns due to troubles with the first rabbit it was time for me to move onward which I did and immediately fell into the first pit without even thinking of pressing the jump key as the texture didn't look like the pit at the time, which was kind of hilarious, all in all the game was somehow teasing me along to the very end and that is a good thing. Vector and pixel graphics are not really genres so I don't think you should score high on Theme ratings, or maybe I'm wrong I'll look it up. You should definitely keep up with pixel animations, vectors don't look as fun. Nice background tho distant leaves are almost the same color as the sky, or maybe I am just being color-blind here.
Your art, and especially your animations, are really smooth and work really well. Overall it was very charming and played great (which is super important and impressive for a jam game). I feel like there could have been more ways to interact with the bunnies, or something else to do besides just attack. Great job!
I love pixel art! Also this is a very unique theme interpretation, so great job man!
What is there of incompatable genres in this game? It's just a platformer, and a pretty blend one at that. I gotta give props for the pixel art background and animations because they are really good, but thats about it. I'm sorry, but this game doesn't make the cut for me. I cannot give a heartfelt and genuine critic other than you must have something else more on the playable side to make this game more interesting. Incompatable art styles don't make the interactions diferent.
The idea is great and the pixel art is amazing, the only issue i had was that the character seems to move too fast to the sides of the screen for me where i would have to wait for the camera to catch up (although that could be down to running it at 144hz), other than that it is great!
Just tested it on 60hz and the movement is fine
The graphics are amazing!
haha nice :)
Nice game. The graphics are really the thing that make it shine. However the lack of sounds is detrimental to the mood. Also, the jump was a bit short imo. Good work!
MMM pixel art is on point here. Thus i missed sound and music in this game. It could really make a different mood!
I loved your graphics ! Beautiful pixel art, color palette and animations. Good job !
Cool art buddy ! Really awesome. I don't know if somebody already told you but if you die by falling and they try to continue moving forward you will die again by glitching :)
Amazing pixel art and animations! I suggest creating a post jam version with sfx and music to make it nicer.
Love the art dude! Pretty funny to mix those two styles haha
That pixel art and the animations are awesome! It's great you did this sleeping 8h per day :P
Graphics are clearly awesome, very great job !
I have some trouble with frame dropping/speed stability which make difficult to not fall, maybe you could find a way to have a smooth delta time.
i'm looking forward the post-jam game !
Really nice graphics and really smooth gameplay good job!
I really like the pixelated graphics, and with some sound effects the gameplay would be pretty good!
The lack of sound means there is a bit too little feedback on your moves, and I don't really know if I buy pixel and not-pixel as game genres - the non pixelated rabbits obviously stand out and I'd probably prefer the gameplay with straight pixel graphics.
Combine 2 incompatible art genres. That's something novel.
Original manage of theme. You combine not 2 game genres but graphics styles. Game is basic platformer but still fun.
Anyway I like that graphics because your simple pixelart rocks :)
Very innovative idea, but when the character falls into the hole takes a long time to come back, it seems like the game freezes. TOP! See my game, pliss: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/food-truck-race
The lack of audio is a bit of a shame, but that pixel art is beautiful :)
I could not get over this certain long gap no matter how many times I tried. Other then that it was fun. The game has well made nice looking pixel art and I liked the gameplay as well as concept of the game and how you combine 2 art different art genres, pixels and non pixels. Cool that one can change the rabbits into pixels and the the wolf one play as is just as damn cool. Creative, Great work : )
Great job! I had trouble killing the rabbits back then, but I found the mechanics quite interesting.
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.
