Fun game with a nice story. I stayed until the last bit :P
Awesome game! I loved the aesthetics, very immersive story telling!
I think it is fixed
great music, wonderful artwork!
Great pixel art!
Very beautiful game! I love it!
Awesome looking game, I love the lighthouse set piece!
I love this concept! A bit disorienting, but felt really cool to be R2D2 :D
This is a really cool concept
Sweet rides! I really just came here to say the cars look really cool :)
very relaxing game, I love it. Although I wish I wouldn't get stuck from getting too many dead fish
Reminds me of the popcap games I played as a kid. Love the style, has a great charm!
@legolula you can *escape* the sharks without conflict when engineering is fully charged
Very original art style! Would love to see more of this kind of game in the future!
The art was awesome! 5 stars for everything! Great game!
Very immersive sub simulation! I love the beautiful monochrome UI!
This is such a lovely game! Everything was amazing, from the voice acting to music, artwork, and story! I'm glad I stumbled upon this from your comment on my game! Haha
Such a cool mechanic, took me a couple rounds to figure out what was going on.
This game is pretty chill, not sure if there were more goals other than collecting pearls.
Disgustingly amazing! 10/10 has a little something for everyone. -IGN
I really loved the graphics as I'm a huge fan of the ps1 aesthetics. While I found the gameplay overall to be well polished, I think progression needs a little more balance, or at least some way to incentivize me to dive deeper early on in the game. My suggestion maybe would be some sort of quest system along side the normal mining aspect?
The mechanics feel pretty good, not sure what else was down there, didnt seem like there was much progression.
I really like this concept, it was kind of weird having to back track, but each time I reached a new soil layer felt great!
Reminds me of a certain someone's game in this jam :) Great work! I'll be following your game when it gets updated. I wasn't sure what to do since none of the jobs showed up, but will check back later!
@transylvanian-blacksmiths Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it! All the balancing was very haphazard lol, also I added a skip button, hopefully this will make the game more enjoyable for folks just looking to try it out for the gameplay.
I really love the audio in this, really feels like being Geordi
I really love the art here, the simulation is pretty chill and relaxing.
This over the top premise is wonderful! ππ
ooh pretty! but I couldn't play missing an library or something :(
A really simple game, but a really solid concept. Would be nice to have been able to progress some more in the game. Great job overall!
Such a simple, beautiful, and elegant game.
@vgel I certainly had plans to tighten up the action economy by allowing a limited number of shots each turn, but that didn't quite make the cut at the time of submission.
@trabasura I'll let you know if I add more to it. I really spent most of the time trying to get the usability down. I'm definitely planning on adding more levels and ship classes to the base game, as well as more tutorial levels that ease you in.
@tobius really appreciate all the feedback. I've been getting in the habit of making game frameworks rather than games, and I think that's a really good thing from all the features you listed as possible future additions to the game. I ended up having to really cut back on weapon types, ship types, movement widgets, and a multiple of other things to get the clean look I really wanted and to save as much time as possible.
I like what you said about the unique weapon types or abilities on ships. This is totally on the radar for a bigger game.
3D movement is always really tricky, and it's not always for everyone. I'll definitely be considering adding some kind of visual aids to help newer players to the genre understand depth and position in a 3d env a lot more in the future/
@erlioniel it's little monstrosity I created myself: https://github.com/RubenTipparach/HPSXURP-Shader-Graph-Tools
This game is cursed, in a very good way! Awesome job!
This had such a cool art style! like many said, progression and goals are kind of confusing to me. Overall though, I think it is a great entry
This is nuts....and impressive!
Very cool looking game, polished, difficulty is pretty tough. Overall really love the quality of this tiny game!
He died and it was all my fault!!!
Very nice game, consistent looking sprites. Would've like to see a little more variety in enemies.
great job! beautiful game!
I love the qwop style mechanics! wish I could use my keyboard for it, but it made me laugh anyways
@pvg my bad lol, I didn't spend enough time reading your notes. I'm actually gonna play it some more with the keyboard controls now!
LOL yeah that is true! I definitely spent way to much time generating planets!
@badcop fixed. Thanks for pointing that out, my folders are a mess after the weekend lol
The simple mechanic of building infrastructure is always fun and enjoyable, this take on the game would've been more fun with progression. Some more clarity on what the buildings do woul've been nice too.
not quick, not easy! very weird unique take though
Everything is great. I really like the pacing, transitioning between a scroller shooter to a strafing fps was really joyful and unexpected. Also the art and music is preem
This was super fun and surprisingly relaxing. Found myself dodging junk and making accidental safe landings all the time. I only screwed up really when I got disoriented lol.
I thought it said Hobgoblin, and I was like, wait a minute that's a virus. Then realized it said Hemoglobin lol
short and sweet game! Great story, awesome voice acting, but I thought it was a little quiet. The ending was very spooky!
lol ship it
Very fun game, very polished, great visual styles and music! I'm so sad everytime I ran out of muffins and it restarted me, you should have some screen telling the player that the bakery is closed for the night
cute graphics, interesting and unique mechanics, but I feel like the milk should spill less when the liquid level goes down.
Cool game, great music, addicting gameplay! I love it!
Very cool concept! I enjoyed this mini factory game alot. Great minimal graphics, I wish there was some sound.
Music is fun, graphics are nice, gameplay is a little too simple, but I still enjoyed it. Great job!
Very cool game, a little too smart for me, but very polished and interesting summoning concept.
Idk whats going on, but it looks and sounds amazing!
Yo, thanks all for playing my game! I've finally completed the bare minimum of what I wanted to do with the jam, minus prospecting/industrialization stuff, What I have now allows you to raise money, buy parts for you rocket, and fuel up for a go into earth orbit and back. I'm gonna keep updating this little toy project as I believe the game design it was inspired by is solid, and works really well for a PC turn based strategy game. Colonization of space will now commence.
Ha I just uploaded it early to get things going, music and audio were just added now lol!
yea I think there's something interesting about non-standard controls. I was definitely inspired by games like qwop that make use of a wider range of keyboard inputs.
@eugenik link is in the description to itch.io its web build. So hope you can play soon!
@void4 I haven't play tested the sim mode at all! Sim mode was my original idea, but @web-gnar talked me out of it. It's now just in there as a joke. Lucky for all you gamers!!!
@andriybyelikov Thanks for your kind words! Yes it was a labor of love to make this game. To address the first point, yea yawing is probably a great idea, I had really mastered this mechanic when I made a 4 thruster cross in Mars First Logistics, and fell in love with the idea of a vehicle having such limitations (this is the Sim mode) which is truly horrendous unless you've practiced for hours! I wonder if anyone can play sim mode single handed! haha
secondly, I suspect you are referring to how it clips through the ground? This is intentional, because 1) it would be impossible to flip over lol 2) we only had 72 hours to implement physics in a game engine that was already complex and had literally thousands of lines! π
Soundtrack coming soon! I will ping you, we actually have many tracks left on the cutting room floor, plus an epic remix made by an awesome pictron discord member! This game might go on steam if I can get it to run at a more consistent FPS!
reminds me of the board games adventure mart and boss monster
Obligatory: Collectin Deeezzz NUTZ!
I was really jamming to the soundtrack here
@faust-mi someone should really go through and compile a mixtape of every jams greatest hits lol
I can relate, am in jail now
Reminds me of the mini game in persona 5 where you're supposed to decide randomly what to say to enemies to convince them to join you.
love 2d lighting, it looks great!
classic willhelm screams!
I was expecting the world to explode when I collected all the dots lmao! Awesome renderer, hope you get to use this tech more in future jams!
great looking game, the duck diving felt a little floaty, like I couldnt really tell if my button presses were triggering until a second or two, with tighter controls this could be awesome!
so moody, I love text adventures!
The music was awesome lol
first of all I'm a little biased because I love space games! Second of all, this is your first game? Congrats!!! This game is beautiful, super polished and has awesome audio and music. I really enjoyed this!
