The art is cool.

The art is cool.
I love the concept lol, and switching between top-down shooter and first-person shooter is a great way to mix up the gameplay so it's not too stale. Gameplay still feels a bit barebones though, a bit more enemy variety as the game goes on would be nice. Also perhaps a time-till-end-of-game timer, I half-expect thus game to literally take 30 minutes to beat lmao so a timer would help with not having me think that.
The art and audio are clear highlights but the fact it switches from top down to FPS is such a dope concept, great job!
The artstyle is fantastic, I love the hand-drawn aesthetic you guys have gone for. You nailed the humour aspect of it. There's also a nice variety to what the player does, it's a good bit of fun
Fun and love the music! Love the switch between perspectives too. Awesome job on this one!
Cool game! Looks awesome! It's pretty hard, I didn't get to the end.
I liked the mix of genres. Also the style, it's very cool. Great job!
The genre changeup was awesome. The initial part was a bit too easy as I mashed the space bar lol
Everything is great. I really like the pacing, transitioning between a scroller shooter to a strafing fps was really joyful and unexpected. Also the art and music is preem
LOVE the idea, the idea is really original and funny. It looks great. I loved the different combat stages. I would like to be able to retry the game without going through the initial dialogue.
Looks amazing, sounds amazing, really nailed the theme as well, well done! I found the gameplay a little repetitive, but the car/fps switch was a really nice touch.
great game, really well polished, loved how they rolled pizza sauce out the back of the vans, and the suprise gameplay twist
Thank you all for the great feedback!
@tofucat - I tried really hard for so long to get the gameplay loop to work without it but ended up having to hard code the reset to make it playable ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
The line "I bet we can hold them off for thirty minutes" coupled with the character pulling out a gun as the metal riff kicked in caught me by surprise, and made me genuinely laugh out loud - I really loved the way you set that delivery up :)
The only real critique I can think of is that while I was playing I had no idea whether the game was going to progress to an end-state, or if it was an endless high score attack. Like the commenters above, I wasn't sure if I would have to wait out a full 30 minutes before knowing that the game was over, so giving the player some indication of their progress would have been really helpful in setting expectations. The fact that the gameplay kept progressing at first definitely helped, but once the loop between driving / barrels / first person shooting started, I wasn't sure if there was more to the game that I had yet to see, or if that was it.
Overall though, I had fun - The different gameplay styles all worked really well together, and kept things feeling fresh!
The art style is great
Game was sick. I loved the perspective change. Going on top of the van caught me off guard in a good way. Great job! Would have loved some kind of ending, or maybe I just didn't get far enough if there was one.
Almost everything was said before me, but I still wanted to say that your game (art, idea, music, everything) slaps! It just maybe lacks some better visual progression and some representation for how far away are we from that sweet free pizza :D
I really like the idea! The music is really nice, and how it changes during the game depending on the game phase. It also looks amazing! Unfortunately, I couldn't finish it and I don't know how close I am to winning.
@koolruz @cody-holt Yes it seems we could've made it a little more clear that there was no end to the loop. Initially we had hoped to have a timer and score aspect to the game but ran short on time.
Regardless, thank you both for the feedback!
Aw, I was disappointed that the damages were relative to how many things you blew up. Good arcade shooter, i find it funny that i had more trouble with the guys that shoot straight then the ones that shoot on an angle
heyyyy! This was simply great. The old school vibes. I was so surprised whet the jump on the roof and shotgun fight happened - this was also great and visually appealing!
Very fun that remind me spy hunter (arcade), but you have implemented many phase and animation and that remind me the old school flash game (in a good sens). This game is a good surprise and you made a good job !
I love the phase changes (as does everyone else), it's a super creative way to keep an arcade schmup feeling really fresh. I do also agree that I would have loved the damages to be indicative of score, instead of a set amount every time. Still though, great job!!!
The plot is really funny and overall presentation is quite nice. Good work on this one!
Hey thanks for stopping by the stream. Here's the VOD where I played your game if you're interested: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1812362155
