LD53 — Delivery

Ship It! by kleinzach 2023-05-02T22:10:33Z

Loved this! Especially how each level was themed from the items to the sounds. I think that the game idea you have here is prime for inventing new control methods, like some levels could have a player character on screen pushing stuff around, magnets, etc. Great job!

I really enjoyed your game! It was a little difficult at first, but I got the hang of it quick and it was a lot of fun. I like the idea of deploying satellites from the bed of a truck, I think it would be really cool if there was some aspect of controlling the satellites after dropping them off, making sure they stayed in orbit. Just an idea. I also loved the title screen art. Great job!

Love this! I'm a big fan of strategy games so it's cool to see one here with so much polish. Everything's clearly well thought-out!

Hellfire Pizza by AploveStudio 2023-05-02T16:38:33Z

I loved this! Graphics are a huge highlight, the character design is awesome. I really like the gameplay too, I just had a little difficulty getting used to the control scheme for dropping off deliveries. Great job overall!

Love how this game controls and feels! I like how you incorporated the theme into this gameplay too, it's a really interesting concept! Art style is pretty cute too.

PARCEL ROCKET by Braveskin 2023-05-02T04:38:40Z

I really like the concept here! I think if there was an easier way to flip the drone after it's fallen on its back, this would be perfectly replayable. There's a ton that can be done with the concept, I already imagine a lot of platforming puzzles with this interesting control scheme and its physics. Great job, I would love to see this get more polish and levels!

LD55 — Summoning

Summoner Pest Control by Sheol 2024-05-01T04:58:49Z

Loved this game!! The gameplay is really smooth, even though I was dying a lot the first couple times I played. It fits the summoning theme super well obviously, and is one of the better uses of the theme I've seen. The graphics are really fun, there's something instantly recognizable about it. Sound design is also great, I think it could work even in an endless arcade mode with just a little bit more variation. Same goes with the gameplay, I think you've got a great set up for a deeper game with progression and customization and even story if you wanted to go that route. I had a lot of fun playtesting it!

The Scared Summoner by Dymino 2024-05-01T05:21:08Z

I like this a lot! It reminds me of some of the browser games I'd stay up late playing for hours as a kid. Contrary to what some other people here have said, I like that it starts out pretty bare bones. With simple game mechanics like this, it's really rewarding seeing the benefits of the upgrades you're able to make. It also feels very balanced with how the difficulty can still catch up with you despite the difficulty.

One of the first things I thought of was that the gameplay could be really taken up a notch (in fun and uniqueness) if there was sort of a path you had to follow. If there were sort of dense trees or other obstacles and a path that could go left to right, up or down, turns etc, it would add an extra layer that would add intensity. Just an idea!
