I love the mechanics, I think shooting stuff -> getting money -> upgrading gear is a great and classic loop, and this pulled it off really well. I will say I think you need to turn the music down a bit or provide a slider, I ended up playing a lot of the game on mute. Nevertheless, great job!
Awesome. Audio and animations were great. Slow-mo death animation was very fitting. Gameplay was fun and engaging. Difficulty seemed to be balanced very well given the time frame.
good game, i like shooting things

Very nice! I like the controls feeling and mood of the game
The game loop is very fun, and liked the details you applied to it!
Fun game. The loop works well.
Nice game, I wish there were more weapons, also I feel like the AR is better than the chaingun. Still, it got me to play all the way to the end, with the nice music and some good enemy variety!

I'm super impressed by how polished the gameplay is, the ending was also really funny
I super enjoyed this game. Was not expecting the ending. I accidentally bought a pistol after I had an AR, thinking it would add it on to my car. I was wrong. Very well done on this one!
Another amazing game made! Nice job!
Very good game, that was fun! good job :)
This game is very fun and has some great juice in it. I got to wave 4 but then I couldn't use my keyboard anymore. I like how I can choose to start the next wave.
The graphics were good, the car controlled well, and it kept me wanting to play.
I'm going to play again after typing this up. I wanna try the different weapons.
Incredible entry! Gameplay felt right and the upgrade loop kept me going. The graphics and audio worked well with the hectic over the top style. Really like the ending haha
Probably the most intrinsically fun game I have played yet. With just a few more upgrades and enemies this can really start coming together into a full fledged GOTY. Look out Blizzard, some new developers are in town.
Awesome game! Really juicy effects and satisfying gameplay. Quite well balanced too.
the player character was steering with their feet, and playing guitar with one hand and shooting with the other 5/5

Really fun shmup! Great job!
I liked getting the minigun with the long reload, was an unusual mechanic to have in a shmup, really cool.
I think the difficulty was tuned very well which made the game for me.
This is really father fun! The change music when you start a new wave is really awesome, it feels so good! I like that you get a break between waves to use the shop (I think "press B to open the shop" never went away though?) and I liked that you get to choose when the wave begins. Overall a great experience and fun game!

Lovely game, very nice soundtrack, and especially cool how it responds dynamically when the bandits are coming. I had one issue with the browser version: when I used the down arrow key the entire browser scrolled down, and so the game dissapeared from view.
Wow! I killed probably 100 people to deliver a single package... all jokes aside incredible loop here and the boss fight was really well designed I thought. One thing is that in the shop I would have like it if it didn't roll the same thing twice. I never got to use the minigun because of this mechanic and I knew it was there because I rolled it before I could buy it. I would have really like to try it. That's my only complaint, great entry!
Really like how you leaned into the retro theme, I think it worked really well here. (I noticed the bit crusher in the music, nice touch.) I wish the shop didn't close when I bought a gun and hadn't healed yet... I liked how tense the reloads were with the Chain gun, not the best gun it the game it seems!
Nice game; The music is amazing! The gameplay is fun! And I love the ending! Well done!

I love how you just slam into a wall in the end haha. The music is great. Just the right game length for ludum dare and lots of action and enemy variety, with a sweet boss fight in the end. The art style is consistent and with good detail.
The only negative I found is if I already bought a gun and forgot to repair I couldn't get back into the shop to do so

This was very well executed! Crisp visuals, music that hyped me up and a gameplay loop that was simple yet addicting. Very well done, great job!
Cool game, great music, addicting gameplay! I love it!

Nice finished game, cool graphics, nice music.
Shop balance is not polished enough, money was never a problem and there was no hard decision - just buy best gun when possible. But it all does not matter for jam.
Also, I think it is counter-intuitive how shop is auto-closed after buying gun, but not auto-closed after repair. So if player want both repair and gun he should make actions in right order.
Pretty intense. I like so much. 9th lvl is hard. What's engine?
@alex-chertilin The game was made with UE4. Glad you liked it!

I had a lot of fun playing this game ! The feeling is perfect and the gameplay is simple yet rewarding, everything is well explained and the enemies' behavior can be well understood thanks to graphical and audio feedbacks, which is pretty uncommon in Game Jam games . I just wish there was more weapons / things to buy  The music and sounds were very cool and very fitting with the graphisms. I liked the "demake" graphical style

This is AWESOME oh my GODDDDDDDDDD what a BANGER!!! The controls, graphics, juice, MUSIC, everything is so punchy and good!!!!! The gameplay loop is super satisfying especially after you get the chaingun. Only "bug" i seemed to find is that after playing for so long I looked to have escaped the map! Which was actually kinda fun lol

Unfortunately as I clicked off the game to take that screenshot it stopped getting my inputs.,.,,. goddamnit right on wave 9. Whatever I tried again cuz it was so fun. The ending was SO worth it!! You managed to cram a lot into this little game, congratulations!!!
I especially loved how you got some time in between waves to experiment with your gun before having to use it, and enemies are presented in controlled scenarios to show what they do. This is very expertly designed.
How did you export a UE game to WebGL like that? I can see it's UE 4.23, but are you using a third party service/plugin?
Very competently designed! Fun, simple game that is paced well. I wish there was more visual feedback when you shoot other cars, and the final boss wasn't very hard, but the music was great and the little QOL design decisions paid off in the end; such as telegraphing which columns cars are going to enter into, and having infinite time between waves to get ready. Great job Stevie!
This is really fun and polished! I like the pixel shader over everything. The game feel is really good, which isn't too common for jam games. Well done :)
Some proper arcade fun! Moving around the road, dodging bullets, blowing stuff up all felt really nice.
I since learned the shop is randomized, but after the first three waves I had only gotten $800 options (and hadn't reached those funds yet) or the same pistol I already had. Once did get $800 and got the chaingun, I then didn't want to replace it as I'd already invested and figured most expensive gun = best gun, so my money only went to repairs. I Would've loved the ability to upgrade the weapon (or global personal driver abilities) to improve accuracy, reload speed, etc. That way I'd be spending the money between rounds.
I dig the art, the blue-tinted shadows break up the monotony of what otherwise would be large swaths of grey background. The music, while loud and lacking a volume slider, is solid and really fits the vibe of the game.
It was a ton of fun to play! Great entry.
It's pretty good, the semi pixel art, semi 3d model aesthetic was nice, I thought it fit the game pretty well. Using a wave based game was pretty creative, and I hope it decreased the workload. - The gun variants were nice. - The sound effects were satisfying. - The enemy variants were easy to understand and added enough complexity to the game. Although, I do think you should've introduced the sniper before the heavily armored vehicle, sort of felt lackluster by the time it joined since he was an easy enemy.
Another point to build on would be that it's pretty easy to rack up gold, and once you get the chain gun, you don't really need that much gold. That doesn't mean the game is easy though, it still took me a few tries to finish the 10th wave. But maybe if you were to expand upon it, you could add more items in between the AR and the chain gun?
One last think to add is that it gets a bit repetitive when you're starting over, but I think that's just a limitation of all shmups. Overall, good game and I hope you had fun at the jam!
P.S: You can spam the pistol to shoot as fast the AR

This was so cool! I played your harvest game back in januari, and somehow I see a recuring style in your's I call "The Stevie Classic". Something to do with smooth pixelated wave attack games with metal music. I have some feedback:
- Somehow I could activate a bug where I somehow created a double wave with cards that could not be hit (I think I clicked the wave button twice?) - I really like the fact that you can activate the wave manually. Maybe instead of a button, you could assign a keyboard key to that? - The music is very nice and I love how it goes into metalmode when the wave is starting

Great soundtrack, I love the retro vibe of it all. It really feels like a complete little arcade game - I really enjoyed this!
Great game! I really enjoyed the 3d version of the old snes style aesthetic! The soundtrack was nice, the sounds were good and the enemy variety was nice to see.
I didn't finish this one because on wave 9, I found a little into it, 3 of the convoy/tank style vehicles would spawn and my character would just be taken to the game over screen from full HP after being unable to move for a few seconds but I played it as much as I could and I got to there a good 3-4 times so it's fun!
I like the shop though I wish buying an item didn't lock out the ability to repair since you can do that the other way around and auto refilled ammo on starting a new wave would be nice but those are pretty small things! You had a great range of weapons and they all managed to feel unique and fun to use.
I love how you've merged a runner style game with a twin stick shooter style! Really well done!!

Addictive loop, balanced difficulty, and top-notch audio-visuals. Loved every second of it, thank you!

Died on a 9th wave, took too much damage xD I did like a lot of things about this game, it really feels finished and thought out, the shop is great, the movement is fine, it's not hard to hit the cars, but the difficulty comes from evading their fire, and it is cool how you made different types of vehicles with different attack patterns!
Nice game! Graphics and the sounds were a spot on. Had fun playing this :)
This one is hot. Really crunchy game loop and juicy controls. I was hooked, and gutted when I died on wave 9. I felt like the AR was the obvious 'best' weapon, but the chaingun was more fun. In the end it got me killed because it's accuracy was 0%. Had a blast though. Great entry, great job!

The game was awesome! Super fun to play and the balancing was great too - a nice challenge! Great job!
Thank you @kreshi
Really nice entry! I liked the gameplay and felt like everything was really crisp. The upgrades were a nice touch but overall I think this was a cool take on the theme.
Really enjoyed playing this one. Fun PS1-era graphics and the soundtrack was on point. Are those original tunes? Nice UI polish too! The damage/health ratio for the characters felt right, as did the money reward/upgrade cost. Any plans to continue development on this? I definitely think it has potential. Super solid entry!!
@jordantanner Yes, I made the music for the game with a few hours left in the jam 😅 Glad you liked it!
definitely enjoyed playing this one, love the graphic style!
