Lol, a Ludum Dare game written for TempleOS was NOT on the list of things I thought I'd see today! Respect.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD51 → Ezekiel

I never expected a game on TempleOS of all things in Ludum Dare. I'm gonna need to get this running and take a loot out of respect for your audacity.
This is nuts....and impressive!
Holy based I don't even know how I should rate this. It transcends puny human concepts such as rating. The game is simple but it run in GOD's THIRD TEMPLE what else can I say. I'm expecting a few Gameboy ROMs made with porcelain tools but not this. Mad props.
I found that with some practice you can get away with about 5 sins per prayer. 6 is a bit inconsistent and got me my retribution.
For those running Linux here's what I used to run the game with QEMU:
``` 7z x Ezekiel.zip qemu-img convert -O qcow2 TempleOS.vdi TempleOS.qcow2 qemu-system-x86_64 -m 2G -enable-kvm -nic none -vga std -drive file=TempleOS.qcow2,format=qcow2,media=disk ```
thanks for playing @chitoyuu i was going to make the lines move further toward the edge of the screen as your score goes up but i ran out of time
*Holy* shit, this is amazing. My fingers almost fell off, but I managed to get around 2800 points before I went to hell.
This is by far the coolest idea for an LD submission I've ever seen, and probably the most fun TempleOS game ever submitted to LD. Congratulations!
This is nuts, I love it
This is nonsense, but the best kind.
Holy shit.
5/5 in all categories from me.Awesome !.
I cannot believe you did this. Absolute madlad. :smirk:
- TempleOs :european_castle: :ballot_box_with_check: - Biblical meaning :pray: :ballot_box_with_check: - Provided Demo for non TempleOS infidels :church: :ballot_box_with_check: - Fits the theme :ballot_box_with_check:
A piece of art
My rating is ** Holy_Grenade / 5 **
Lmao incredible, truly doing the lords work
@dgo @mikoziq @yellowkamel @eugenik @primateprime @cornflowerblue @matt-ravenhall @ale @rubentipparach @empty-set @saintchristopher777 thank you all for the support. i hope to continue to make the OS more accessible for the future
this made me spend the last couple of hours obsessed by what TempleOS is. learned something today.
5/5 All categories, easily the best one I've seen so far. Rest in power Terry A. Davis. Got a highscore of 6800.
You are crazy man :D Thats something I did not expect for sure. Well done, keep up the good work!
Amazing you guys did this. I would never have thought those worlds would ever collide, but here we are! Big kudos for going through the effort and actually writing a game for Temple OS.
RIP Terry.
Any update on releasing this as a .iso file? I have VMware Workstation 16 Player with vanilla TempleOS running fine on it, but I couldn't get it to work with your .vdi file, and I've seen it mentioned that that was phased out a few VMware releases ago.
5/5…..WHAT I SEE! A CRAZY game for Temple OS in 2022! ! Can’t believe you guys did it. Greatest game.
@monika YES just published the ISO. if following the tutorial video just unzip, mount the disk to vmware instead of the TOS Distro and install normally
Making a temple OS game for a gamejam is a pro-coder move I can only hope to aspire to. Honestly I'm incredibly impressed by this and what an insane amount of effort you put into this. And somehow on brand for both the game jam theme, and the general vibe of TempleOS. Well done!!!
The ISO-based installation went smoothly with the newest generation of VMWare 👍
Is there a goal time, or do you just keep praying every 10 seconds until you die? (Which is perfectly thematic, just want to know if I should keep trying for an end state.)
Would be nice if the game over screen showed your score and had a way to restart the game. I tried closing out the game and restarting it, but the OS locked up, so after that, I ended up just rebooting the machine whenever I got a game over and wanted to try again. (That probably has more to do with unfamiliarity with the OS than anything else, couldn't get menus to work properly, stuff like that, but an in-game obvious way to restart would be nice regardless.)
